Completely disappointing....pay issues for PCA here! I have called multiple times phones are either busy, or on hold!
Been on phone now 45 mins and not one person has answered.
I have normal "pay issues" with them.... but to not get a paycheck 2 weeks in a row is ridiculous.

Ever wonder how Allied the non profit group gets paid to do payroll? Caregivers that work for Allied are paid from St of Ct. In 2017 the hourly wage was about 16.50 a hour and the PCA's were getting about 13.50 a hour. The extra 3.00 a hour was going towards payroll
Never get paid. Always have to fight with them to get my paychecks that I work for. I spent hours an, hours on hold on the phone waiting for help. Idk how many times they Hong up on me. So unprofessional idk how this place is even open
The worst customer service I have ever received. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I have left 3 voicemails for them in the past, no call back, email or fax received back. I have been on hold with customer service right now for longer than 30 minutes, and with previous calls in the past, very rude employees. Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and I am BEYOND aggravated that this has been my experience every single time.

Seems to be able to find every little problem with payroll that can possibly be found, will not work with you on certain things payroll problems. If I could find a different payroll company to deal with I would do it in a minute my opinion they suck!!!!!!!!!

What a joke for a company. The state finally needs to step in and fix all the issues and staffing at allied. Every phone call which can take upto a hour or more just to speak with a customer service that will only say re submit timesheets. I've re submitted multiple times for timesheets for my workers and still 1 week without pay and why is that? I understand mistakes happen but over and over again. It's just unfair to the workers and bosses involved. I hope a new company can step in and do the right thing like it should of been from the start. Why are my workers losing 3$ each hour to pay for a company that just keeps messing up come on it 2019 not 1999. I will call the labor department and state.

This place is a joke. They can never confirm if they receive your time sheets. You wait over 30 mins on hold waiting to talk to a representative and then they have no idea how to do their job. Been waiting for 4 weeks now for a paycheck. Have contacted department of labor! To the customer service reps GET YOUR HEAD OUT IF YOUR ASS! Can t even talk to a manager and if you go there they turn you away! This company for sure needs a makeover with staff that s actually willing to help solve issues and not hang up on you!
I spoke to customer service who said theres a delay. That was at 8:45am, it's now 12:15pm and still nothing. Advice: always have Emergency money, cause with allied you never know if you'll get paid
This is positively the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They don t pay you when they are supposed to for the smallest discrepancy In timesheets even if it s not your fault! Even when They are wrong they will withhold paychecks. Unacceptable! If you need a document or paystub then good luck with that! You re forced to hold on the phone for up to 45min only to get rude and unprofessional staff which don t help you anyway! Don t waste your time with them. Move on! This by far is one of the worst companies in business. I ve literally been on hold for almost 40 minutes and still no answer. It doesn t matter when or what time you call, you will be on hold forever. When you do get someone they re usually not helpful and condescending. You are not able to access forms online and there is nothing efficient about the way they operate. After dealing with a better company (Palco) for over a year this is definitely a step down. I m not sure how they re still in business. If I could give a zero star I would.
Zero stars! Having been forced to deal with Allied for decades because I have a special needs adult child, I have seen Allied go from bad to worse to absolutely horrible. As a third party fiduciary, they process the applications and paychecks for the PCA'S that I hire to work with my adult child. I used to be able to at least speak to people who could correct mistakes. Now it is impossible to speak to anyone competent. Their new process of everything being handled by frontline people answering the phone is a total recipe for disaster. They are rude, incompetent, retaliatory, and do not care at all that Allied makes horrible mistakes with job applications and payroll. They lose faxes that I know have been sent. I ask for up-to-date applications and they send me timesheets that are for the wrong grant instead of applications. I ask several more times.....They finally send me applications but some of the forms are expired and I get e-mails that the applications are incomplete because I've used old applications (!) And supposedly I don't fax in all the pages when in fact I do. (3 or more times) I've had to send jpegs of pages of applications that are missing because "the sorters get confused." The worse thing is that I'm told by customer service reps when my employees don't get paid because timesheets disappear, "that it just happens." And they say it in such a snarky way. How would they like it if they did not get paid? They do not care that Allied's incompetence harms PCA'S and ultimately their clients and clients' parents. I've had job interviewees withdraw from applying for a job with us when they hear that Allied will be paying them. It becomes a full-time job dealing with Allied and it is really systematically WRONG. The state of Connecticut repeatedly chooses the lowest bidder but at what cost? And does the state save in the long run?
This place is extremely unprofessional to say the least, to any family that have caseworker switch immediately out of there horrible service, I just learned today that's a option. We as families do not have to deal with there garbage.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! I found out last year they weren't taking enough taxes out of my paycheck and ending up owing 3000 to the state and federal. Then this year I sent them my w-2's twice to make sure they had it right and they messed up again! Not only that they look for any reason to not pay you when there is one little mess up on your time sheet. This company should't be allowed to even operate. HORRIBLE.
Awful company!!!! So incompetent and unorganized. System is old and should not be still using fax to distribute checks. They never pay on time and then leave you high and dry with receiving your money. The issue does not get fixed in a resonable amount of time it should be resolved if not that day the next day. Just spoke with "Cherre" from Allied Community Resources' lousy customer service. She had an attitude the whole time because after a month of them not paying me I finally brought my paperwork up there so they couldn't say they didn't get it. All of a sudden I'm not getting paid for 6 days out of the month i worked. I had quit working for this woman after her guy friend got in my face and screamed at me over a mop. Her cockatoo also attacked me a few times. Found worms in it's food. Ferrets running around pooing everywhere. Told the company this and of course it's not a problem. It's bad enough I had to deal with all of that and now I'm not getting paid for 6 days that i had too? I wish I would have looked up reviews before I wasted so much time there. I wouldn't have stayed past a week.

This company should loose their contract with the state of Connecticut. The worse thing to go through is not getting paid for services you provided and when u call the lines are always busy. My experience with this company has not been favorable. Many errors with the time sheets. It is their company's policy to NOT confirm the receipt of time sheets. The employee will find out there is an issue when they don't receive their paycheck. Staff is not very friendly. Extremely long hold times when you call in. If have the choice to use another agency, it would be in your and your employees best interest.

i have not had an issue with allied about payment- i had my problem fixed fast, and professionally. very truly impressed. it was worth being on hold almost 40 minutes to have had such a huge issue resolved in minutes. hope to see more of this kinda customer service in the future!
This is by far the WORST organization and something needs to be done to fix this. I'm speaking as a client who is responsible for training, scheduling, and payment. The most difficult thing about this is not the employees that care for me but dealing with Allied. Every week you must pray that your employees get paid on time and for both weeks. I can't begin to tell you how many times payroll was late due to what they "claim" as missing or late time sheets that I know were faxed on time on Monday. Good luck calling to find out why because you won't get very far. I called just on Friday to find out, after a 30 minute wait I explained the situation about my employees being paid for 1 week and here is the response I got "Well I don't know who you are or who the employees are." Without asking my name or any info, I had to say to this person would it be helpful if I give you my name. I have never heard so much ignorance in my life. I don't have the time or patience to do other people's jobs for them. Simply put they make your blood boil and one day they will give me a stroke. They are ignorant, rude, and incompetent. Charlene who works here is incompetent and lied to me on the phone about my time sheets. Reps need to be held accountable for being rude. Also, when Allied payroll makes a mistake and doesn't pay you, you have to wait an ENTIRE WEEK OR MORE to be paid. Company has VERY poor communication skills and lacks professionalism.
I absolutely HATE this company, and wish we were not forced to use them for payroll. They have terrible customer service policies and responses. We used to work with Sunset Shores, who were absolutely terrifc, so I know what is possible. I wish there was an alternative.

It s a mixed review while the work is currently great and your clients can be a hit or miss. The company within itself have a lot of work to do, their professionalism via email, phone calls is atrocious. The attitude and passing incorrect information is too high. I hope someone from the company see this review and learn from it.
Worst consultant pay company ever. Could never get the pay correct or on time, never send out check stubs verifying your hours. Always lying saying they never receive timesheets, keep you on hold for hours. They take forever to get to the bottom of the problem and by that time there will be two more unresolved problems.
These people are complete scum bags I hate dealing with them. If you have another choice for a payroll company do it. They have lost my time sheets. They have went checks to the wrong address. When you call them about it will give you nothing but an attitude.

I have been working now for 7 months for allied. I have had nothing but issues with them concerning my pay. I went 4 weeks with no pay in December. Christmas was not great but we did it. I thought heat was more important than lots of things. However we do have a union!!! 1199. Look us up! We do have a voice and the number is on the website. I just joined. Allied needs tobe held accountable. We has healthcare workers need to stand together! Not only can we fix this issue, but also to be recognized as a professional! Time sheets are submitted on time and I still got short on pay twice smh. They told me to resubmit and they still didn t pay me. The time sheets shows 2 weeks 40 hrs and they still paid me for 20 hrs!!!

Update I got in touch with someone I started at 8 a.m. it is now 11:30. I was told there is a delay but our paychecks will be in today. It came in before 5pm and they called to make sure I got it.
This is about the 5th time they held my check in the9 months dealing with these people. I had respite pay in which I've never done before. So knowing how petty they are I called for step by step instructions on how to fill out time sheet for respite pay (because the last thing I need is to not get pay right before Christmas). I called ,waited the usual 30 minutes. Then got on with a woman with a very bad attitude. I asked her how to fill out the time sheet for respite pay. After she tried to make it seem like I'm an idiot for not knowing how to do it, proceeded to give instructions in which I followed to a T. However it was not the right instructions. Thanks to allied I'm screwed for another 2 weeks and not to mention botched Christmas plans. Honestly I'm exhausted with them. I'm constantly nervous on Mondays-Thursdays of pay week because I'm not sure if I'm getting paid for my work. I'm not sure who to talk to or what to do anymore. There has to be better options , you can't get worst than Allied.

Rude staff. Just got off the phone with them. Called cause i have not receive my pay checks and they asked me whats my last 4 digits of social i told them to give me one second because i dont know the top of my head. I had the lady on speaker and the lady was talking to whoever she was with and she was saying "she doesnt know her social and im on hold im not gonna wait any longer" very unprofessional.

Allied Community Resources has as a company chosen to not deliver or provide services which they are contracted to preform. The lack of professionalism despladed by individual department's is just shocking and the lack of communication is deplorable. Their company policy on late timesheets and payment is horrible and also illeagal under state employment laws employee's need to be paid in a timely manner. The only corse of action is to file a complaint with the state of CT. listed below.

This Company has the reputation of not paying employees. I've had to fax time sheets to them 5 times because they are constantly using the excuse they did not receive them. Today they are also telling me they didn't receive a form I faxed in two weeks ago (I also faxed it 5 times). Then they tell the other person who does payroll they do have it. I call them again and of course nope! They are telling me they don't have it. Constant miscommunication, possibility of not getting paid, and they are not quick to resolve problems. Allied Community resources does not deserve any stars. But need to post this as 1 of many issues with them. I've had no pay issues. Incorrect pay rate issues, paid for only a portion of my hours with no explanation. No pay because they didn't receive my fax or pdf scan email.
Ok mistakes happen, dozens with them. Then you call and speak to the customer service rep after being on hold for over half hour. Explain to them and they go back to payroll leave u on hold and come back to say they are backlogged and dont know when they will get to correcting your pay. So I wait another 2 weeks and no corrected pay. Until I got my state rep, union and DSS involved. It took a month. But then they stopped sending the paystubs and told me I have to send a special fax to request my paystub. Now a month later I'm not getting paystubs again after a grievance was filed. There is more issues then this, my hands are tired. And why does no one from Allied ever respond to these 100s of complaints????

I spent over an hour on the phone trying to talk to customer service and no one picked up. I gave up and just hung up. These people don't know How to to their damn job apparently. They're just as lazy as the DMV. There is no freaking way that I have to spend over an hour on the phone just to ask a simple question.
The payroll department is horrible, constant cases of non payment with claims of no timesheets. They don't even take the time to work the problems out, correct their mistakes, or help their clients. I wouldn't have given a star if possible.

Calling Allied is such a frustrating experience. You wait at lease 30 minutes for a customer service representative. You used to be able to use a person's 3 digit extension. Not anymore. You have to go thru customer service. There is no regard for the workers they represent.

I've been sending my Timesheet in on time in the same pdf form. And on top of that I always send in three timesheets in pdf form from three different apps. Why am I not getting paid today!!! Don't just throw away work because you can't do your job. Some of us have children to feed.

I worked for this company for a year until I found out they werent taking taxes out of my pay and I was surprised with a bill from the IRS for over $1000. I was working two jobs and filed my W2's the same way, one job deducted taxes like they should have, Allied did not.
Absolutley terrible organization. There is ALWAYS a problem with paper work. Whenever i go to try and resolve said problems i am met with a bad attitude and am put on hold and forgotten. It took 5 seperste calls to get proper paperwork for reimbursment and after that they wouldnt even accept it. Never work here its more trouble than its worth
This company is the fiscal intermediary for individuals with disabilities on wavier programs. The State of CT uses this place because they re the cheapest but they re not even a payroll service, it s just a service they do for waiver programs. This is the only place in the world that legit ignores phone calls and rolls their phones to busy signals when they screw up payroll, and although each individual (our employers) PAY THEM out of their budget for this service they don t confirm time sheets have been received so pay day is a guessing game. Meanwhile these individuals who NEED PCA s in order to live independently in the community (which is why this program exsists in the first place bc the State paying for nursing homes for all these people is unecessary and expensive) are left to deal with being dependent on their PCA s to live, yet nobody seems to care about making sure their PCA s get paid on time (it can take weeks or even a month to have a payroll issue fixed) so they can even afford to get to work. Personally one of the most sickening things at this place is their customer service reps are not human service trained. They will tell an employer quick well you can scan it, make your own copies etc forgetting the individuals we serve on this program are on fixed incomes (that s why they qualify to be on it). The implication that they can just go out and buy a scanner is completely insensitive and inappropriate. Some are even extremely patronizing when they speak forgetting the individual on the other end may have a brain injury or some other cognitive limitation yet they re speaking to them like they re stupid instead of with dignity and respect forgetting they wouldn t even have a job if it wasn t for these people. Folks call your union reps, make noise and encourage your employers (who are the ppl you work for, Allied is NOT your employer, read what you sign on your applications) to call their case workers and ask for other options about managing their wavier budget. In some cases Emoloyers can manage their own, cut their own checks, file their own taxes and most don t even know it s an option bc they aren t told.
This is the third time they haven't paid me. Every time there's an issue, they won't tell you... they just won't pay you. Nobody is on the same page. They always tell you to talk to your employer but they aren't even telling the employer what's going on. Awful company.

To all of those providers that are trying to get paid (as reflected in this review forum) . . . the reason why you are not getting paid is because Allied Community Resources cannot bill its clients in any reasonable fashion. Yes, that's right . . . They are unable to send a bill on time and actually recommend that clients NOT keep their accounts up to date as that is the only sure way to actually get a bill.

The other comments say it well, but on top of that, the worst part is they refuse to review or work with you on your current time sheet. So you have no idea if you've done it correctly and they won't help you make it so you do. You're just left to wait until payday to see. Criminal in my opinion.
