I ordered in the shop chilli, medium fatty bolting and instead I was served dry, flavourless, hard biltong. Sadly I only realised upon opening the pack and I was already on the motorway. I called and was told I must return to get a chunks of fat on the side to chuck into the dry biltong. Terrible service, I was a regular and I most certainly will not be going back. No sense of accountability for the shoddy service nor the bad biltong experience!!

Absolutely adore this store! I have never ordered online so can't comment on that side which seems to be where the 2 single star reviews came from. To the person who gave 2 stars because it's pricier than SA.... think about import charges then they have to add a mark up your make profit. It's like american candy stores always cost a fortune! Anyway... lovely staff who make the effort to say hello to every customer. The biltong is divine and they have a variety so you can get it wetter etc depending on your personal preference. Also... try the grape fanta.... yum!

Visited this shop for the first time this weekend, really nice friendly staff and very helpful in guiding me to choose the right biltong. Have visited the other shop in Southampton and they are both excellent. Proper shopkeepers who care about what they sell and their customers. Will definitely be visiting again.

I have had terrible feed back about your disgusting service, do you treat all your customers so badly? Why, when an order is placed, do you think its quite alright to send other things instead, and when it was queried, you told them to be happy with what they got?? Pure disgusting behaviour, and I have written a letter to your local newspaper advising people to stay away from your shop. South Africans are nice people and you are ruining our reputation ! Unfortunately I have to give you 1 star in order to post this review...

If you hail from SA, or have a real interest in proper bbq (braai) cooking, this is the place to go. A wide range of imported goods to satisfy most people, from authentic biltong, sliced while you wait, to all manner of spices, mixes, marinades and sauces, plus the sort of snack treat ex-pats usually miss. Pricey compared to a local supermarket, but worth it as there is no alternative for most of their goods

This is an awesome shop for everything south African. The biltong is exceptional with various options and meats available.

One of the biggest shop I have been to in the UK, also well stocked and the staff are really nice people thank you.

Visited with my daughters and friend who are doing a school project on South Africa. The ladies at the shop were really friendly and helpful. The girls loved the sweets, and the biltong and wors.( Not so keen on the mopane worms though!! unsurprisingly!)
