Went there for a body shop estimate for a repair to my Subaru. Again, very clean, friendly and alert staff. She found a couple of things that I missed.
Estimate was about what I expected, so no surprise there. They will provide a loaner if you don't have rental on your insurance.

In my opinion: Unwilling to warranty their work. I had some work done on my vehicle, a polymer or bonding agent of some sort on my plastic bumper cover, a year later it starts to fall apart. They claim there was an impact. CLEARLY there is NO impact, though a stone may have struck it since it is on the front bumper, lower portion and stones are a fact of life while driving, none to my recollection. They simply will not repair it, they out-of-hand dismissed me and claim that I struck something. 100% guarantee that I did not, but I'm the filthy lying customer. The damage is ONLY local to the previous repair site. But they insist that there is no way that their superior craftsmanship could possibly be the issue, or the materials used couldn't possibly be substandard or perhaps not mixed well or in proper ratios.
I can get better service at Bob's Offshore Body Shoppe. <eye roll>
Now I am faced with having to either live with their slipshod workmanship and unwillingness to repair their mistake or file a claim with my insurance and claim that someone vandalized my vehicle in this area with some precision instrument as to only impact this one area and no other areas.
I am, however, willing to reconsider this evaluation if they are willing to come to their senses and repair my vehicle under the terms of the warranty. Otherwise my warning is caveat emptor, let the buyer beware. I shall not return to this servicing place or any other wholly owned subsidiaries under the Al Serra umbrella.
I suggest that folks find other body shops and service centers to work on your vehicles.
Bryan was extraordinarily helpful during a very difficult time for me. He made purchasing my vehicle easy, and made it a pleasant experience. I shared with Bryan that I had recently lost my husband and he extended a great deal of compassion to me while helping me secure the best vehicle for me and my children. Chris Salter was fast, efficient and extremely accomodating. From the time I walked in to the point of getting my keys it took him less than 24 hours to do his job. Along the way he walked me step by step because my husband was working and he was super patient and sweet to my sons while signing the paper work. I hope that my experience with Al Serra was just a fluke. But I can only give them two stars because I never heard back from them. I drove there from Canton, MI on Monday to look at a Tahoe. I talked to a salesman and emailed him all of the information he needed to put some deals together. He emailed me back on Tuesday morning, letting me know that he received my info and would begin working on an agreement. Well it's Thursday and I still haven't heard from him. I won't mention his name, but it has been disappointing. I really liked that truck, but we're moving on.
Kevin in used cars was able to help me out with the vehicle I had been interested in, and call me when it was available. Was also able to get me in and out in a fair amount of time on a busy Saturday

Ryan helped with all my questions about the truck. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The truck had a cracked windshield and the dealership is replacing the windshield in the price of the purchase. I was amazed at all the used vehicle they had to choose from. I have already referred my brother to Al Serra Used Car's.
My overall experience was great! I never felt a bother asking questions, friendly adviser. The only downside was my car didn't come with an owner's manual (which wasn't the adviser's fault).
Okay so everyone knows buying a car new or used is painful. It's literally like the last or the last things to do on your "To Do List" like ever and especially in 2020. I pretty much have probably the basic story most of us have and that is average credit score, not alot of money to put down and just started a new job, same profession just new work place. Anyhow, reached out to one dealership as I thought I only really had on shot to get a car as we never want our credit to run a million billion times. That dealership was .... UGH!! (bad experience). Waited a week and then found a car I was very interested in was in my price range, at least in my head and so I reached out. Was put in touch with this killer human being named Jason Fleury! Took a test drive decided I really wanted that car and so we moved forward. Next day not good news banks not excited to loan me money for the car I liked, he said well I have this car and let's try it. I was like dear lord that's never gonna work cause it was a newer used car way out of "my" price range and low and behold I was approved! He worked magic! He was patient, kind, understanding, extremely helpful and over all a good soul! This car had everything that was on my list PLUS so much more! Sincerely coolest, kindest, funniest and hardest working "salesman" -- human being I have ever worked with when buying a car! GO SEE HIM ... You won't be disappointed! Jason Fleury.. John was very professional and took his time despite the conditions of how the dealership had to operate under the quarantine in May. Believe it or not the dealership was very busy and John made sure I was taken care of. I would definitely recommend John to my family and friends. I love my 2017 GMC Sierra that had only 18,500 miles on it. The inside still smelled like a new vehicle fresh off the new car lot!
Rob Collins was great to deal with from the beginning. Friendly, no pressure, up front. I like the no haggle pricing. I didn't feel like I was getting screwed, and if I was, then so was everyone else. Lol. It was a fair market value price, lower than comparable vehicles. Mike Majerowicz was also great. By the end of the deal, I would have happily had them both out on my boat for a couple of beers. :-). I love the SRX I bought too, super clean for a 3 year old car. They did a great job detailing it. I feel like I'm in a brand new car. I will go back for my next vehicle and encourage others too. Btw, I drove an hour one way to get to Al Serra and it was worth the drive.
My wife and I test drove and purchased a used vehicle there, when we test drove the vehicle at night we didn't realize the high beams were on. After purchase we went to leave and noticed this and found out the vehicles low beam headlamp was burnt out. The vehicle had been washed but there still was sap or something all over the hood and a busted seat trim was not fixed even though it was agreed upon to repair. The radio was locked out because of the battery going dead, this was suppose to be unlocked at the time of pick up but it was not. Instead of going back for the promised repairs i just figured out and fixed the issues myself due to time constraints. Tom our salesman seamed to be a pretty genuine guy. The dealership did put new tires on the vehicle for no charge due to the tires being extremely chopped. My wife and I usually buy all of our cars from Suburban, but they didn't have the vehicle we were looking for. Al Serra wasn't a really bad experience, but it wasn't a really good experience either.

Very professional and friendly. Was out on the road and had a low tire light come on. Called the dealership and they were able to get me in on my way home. Owen in Service meet me when I drove in and called me by name (a very nice touch). He said they would look at my tire right away and also would address a manufacturer's recall at the same time if I had time. Work was done very quickly. Owen check in with me during the repair to make sure I knew what was going on. My Crosstrek was returned to me all fixed up and even washed. Love my Subie and highly recommend this dealership

Traded in my truck for a nicer used one. Lets not kid ourselves: we all know what to expect when buying a used car, right? If I could give Al Serra 6 stars, I would. They sold me exactly what I came in to buy at a good price, no problems or hassles, no bs. No pushy tactics, nadda. Very competitive trade offer as well. When a problem arose on delivery, they went above and beyond to make it right.
I spent 2 weeks at other dealerships in the area being treated like a drunken prom date with a reputation, when all I wanted was to give someone my money for what they were selling. At Al Serra, I was test driving the car i wanted to drive within minutes, and as a terribly cynical person, I actually drove away in a good mood with the vehicle I set out to buy. I'll be back.
Cal was great to work with. I have limited time to hang out at a dealership and really appreciated handling almost everything through phone calls and texts! He was able to get me out of a lease and in to my perfect car in just a day or two and kept my payments in the range I needed. Very easy to get my purchase made but seemed like they were real quick to just get the deal done and get me gone. I asked about issues with the vehicle I chose and pretty much was told it s on me now.
I will never ever return to this business. This visit was absolutely horrendous, I booked an appointment that I showed up 15 minutes early to, when offered a service, tire rotation, which Eric the service writer said afterwards usually takes over an hour, didn't inform me of this beforehand, when I know usually this doesn't take this long. Then when an additional part was needed the price he told me was less than what It turned out to be, so the oil change I originally went in for that is usually 14.00 bucks maybe turned into a 61.00 dollar visit. I am so dissatisfied with my service that I intend on telling everyone I meet not to take their vehicles there, and in my line of business I come in contact with many people. What the most disappointing part of the entire ordeal was is that this was me trying to give them a second chance since last time I made an appointment for an oil change early in the morning I ended up sitting for over two hours waiting making me late for work and causing the manager to comp my oil change. Second chance once again I was there an hour and a half and paid well over what I should have. I hope that one day you no longer can provide such terrible service.

After an inspection during an oil change I was told I need rear Brakes and I should get them done soon to avoid purchasing rotors. I took my vehicle in for the rear brakes as suggested only to be told (after 7hrs) that I required brakes and rotors front and back and instead of an $180.00 cost, I was quoted a new price of more than $800. After speaking with the Service Mgr who was very curt (needs a lesson in customer service) I removed my vehicle and had the brakes completed by a competitor for $500.
From the very beginning Ethan was wonderful, from getting me a loaner car to helping me realize that I could turn the repair into my insurance company to helping me when picking up my car. It was above and beyond every step of the way! I especially want to highlight what he did when I picked up my car. I had the loaner packed and ready to travel to New York to visit my daughter, she was appearing in theatre production that evening so I was on a time crunch. Ethan has my car pulled into the service bday waiting for me and transferred all of my items from the loaner car into my car while I was talking care of the paperwork in the office. Again above and beyond! I will only want to work with Ethan in the future!

Our family has been leasing from the The Al Serra dealership for all of my life. I just graduated and can finally afford a nice car that I can be proud of. The salesman at Al Serra took all of my interests and needs in a vehicle to place me in the car that was right for me. I highly suggest them to anyone in the Grand Blanc area.
I have purchased all my cars from Al Serra in the last 30 years and loved them. That was until now. Car on for service and they "lost it" for 2 weeks or more after finally duplicating the problem. I got no return calls from my messages requesting updates during that time. When I finally got ahold of service guy he apologized and said would reprogram ECM. Then nothing again. He failed to write up another repair order AGAIN. Had to start over again trying to duplicate the problem. Was told GM wouldn't pay to keep putting parts on it without a code. Call dropped while talking with them and I received a nasty message that he didnt appreciate being hung up on and if I was going to talk with an attorney they would no longer work with me. That is great as I have no intention of ever going to them again. If a mechanic cannot figure out repairs without a computer telling them what's wrong they are simply parts changers.
I did not have a good experience...maybe just bad luck. I came in with two problems; we will refer to as P#1 and P#2.
The estimate for P#1 was $2,300. I called around and found other shops would do P#1 for $1,400 so I declined the work at Al Serra. When I declined P#1 due to cost they suddenly were able to drop it to $1,700?! The explanation for the ability to drop so much had to do with the tech and the labor. So did they put put a faster tech on it? I want the lower price of $600 without asking for it! This is much feels like I was being ripped off on the first quote. I apreciate the offer but why so much more on the first quote?
The estimate for P#2 was $100. I said I wanted P#2 done but the part would have to be ordered. I specifically asked if I would receive a call when the part came in, was told yes, and have heard nothing since. I probably would have heard something if I did P#1 so this feels like a shunning because I turned down the other work.
I will be finding another dealer to do business and hope to have better luck. Being in the market for a new car now I want to find a good one and feel like I am getting the best deals!

I had been looking for a truck for about 2 and 1/2 weeks after many calls out of state and local test drives with other dealerships I found one at Al Serra. The morning I called I spoke with Anquan Clemmons and I was hesitant thinking I was going to hear the same story about this truck as I've heard about many others. Much to my surprise Anquan told me everything I needed to hear and before I was off the phone I told him I wanted to buy the truck. Approximately 36 hours later with very little input from me I was driving away with the new truck. Anquan was great, and very thorough and informative of everything throughout the process and everything on the paperwork. I would highly recommend using Anquan, and Al Serra in Grand Blanc, for any brand vehicle you are looking for.
Took my Chevy Cruze into the Buick/GMC service department for a check engine light. The advisor told me what the issue was and explained in detail the items that needed to be performed. Took the service ride home and back to the dealership when the vehicle was finished. Driver was very courteous, nice and familiar with the area making me navigating for him a breeze. Overall, I'm happy with the guys and gals in the Buick/GMC service department, as they do such a great job that I prefer them over the Chevy Service Department due to their great communication, cheerful presence and efficiency.
