He is always prompt, always strait up and honest about every aspect of the purchase decision from choosing the right vehicle to finance, to delivery. For this last purchase, the guy came in during the morning of his first day of vacation just to make sure the delivery was flawless. You don't see this level of commitment often.

My experience with Al Serra has been hit and miss. The Jeep service department was untimely and unsatisfactory. If you're uneducated you may be taken advantage of, particularly if you're a woman. It is wise to keep documentation of all your warranties and services to avoid such nonsense.
However Al Serra's used auto sales department is accommodating and pleasant.

Great experience. We made a deal on two vehicles over the phone with Chris Salter. He was great to deal with and really took good care of us. We ended up buying a Chrysler minivan and a Hummer H3. The Hummer ended up having a bad radiator and again Chris and the service department did a great job repairing our vehicle. We will recommend Al Serra to all of our friends in Michigans upper peninsula. Love the vehicles and the service.

I bought 2 tires from Al Serra and after they were put on they were not balanced. So after driving a couple of weeks and noticing a shimmy and shake I went back to have the car looked at. I was told it rode that way because the new tires were not balanced when put on, but basically said it was my fault because I didn t buy 4 tires. I couldn t afford 4 at that time and said I would be back in a couple of weeks to get the other two, which I did. This was my first visit of dissatisfaction. I m concerned I have caused damage to the first 2 tires. If that was going to be the case I should have been advised of the potential damage of not balancing 2 tires because they can only balance 4 new tires apparently.
Brian Miller went above and beyond to make sure that not did we get what we wanted but with the best deal for our budget.

The selection of vehicles cannot be matched in Genesee county. We have purchased several vehicles in the last two years from Jennifer and have been very pleased. Their service department (oil changes) is very prompt. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another vehicle from them.
We've dealt with Al Serra a number of times now, from an off-lease used purchase to a couple of new leases, and the experience has been great. It is especially nice that their salespeople can sell any brand, which makes comparison shopping a lot easier once you've found a salesperson with whom you like to work!
Our favorite salesperson is Victor George, who makes every transaction straightforward, fast, and easy - Vic was even personally polishing some spots on the new vehicle when we pulled in to take delivery, that type of attention to detail is much appreciated!

The service department charged for services that were not related to the problem. They never resolved the issues and left the vehicle unrepaired. I was sent an email after my first complaint. But never contacted per the email they were glad to get my business but much happier to push me out the door.
Great customer service. Not pushy. Very knowledgeable. I did have a few issues with the used car I bought but were immediately handle by the dealership. Tom was a great salesman. The repairs were done very quick and professionally.

Brought car in for a scheduled appointment and it was not even looked at until the following afternoon (and had to pay for loaner out of pocket). I was told I had a bad starter and had to have it replaced. When I got my car back (3 days later!), it would not turn over. I was then told the battery was the problem -- after already paying for a new starter! Three days earlier they said the battery was not the problem and was fine. Manager (Cole Preville) was no help and simply offered to sell my old starter back to me. What a joke. Ineptitude at its finest- except for the cashiers, they are wonderful at swiping your credit card, of course.
Tom Muldoon and Al Serra made the entire purchasing process very quick and easy. I came in on a Monday around 4pm to check out a car my wife saw online. Tom had informed me the car had just been put on hold by another salesperson, but no option had been put down on it yet, nor any financing attempted, so if I liked it I could get it.
Took the car for a test drive and brought it to my wife to look at, she instantly fell in love with it and really wanted it. Brought the car back and started the paperwork, but since it was close to 6pm at that point, Tom said to go ahead and go home and he will call me the next day with the financing options. He ended up calling a little after 6pm and informed us we had been approved for a good payment and interest rate with no money down. He was even kind enough to hold the car for us until we could come in on our next day available that Friday to finalize everything.
The whole process was much friendlier and way easier than the last time I purchased a vehicle 3 years ago at a different dealership. Al Serra has earned another repeat customer with the way my wife and I were treated and the ease of the entire process. Another salesperson even occupied our bored 4yo by tossing a mini football around with him while we filled out the papers. Al Serra definitely went above and beyond in my opinion.

If you own a Subaru then you know all the possible issues with the EJ and FA motor's, THIS IS THE ONLY DEALER i'll ever visit for ANY Mechanical or Electrical Issue. Their mechanics are simply the Best!!!!! This is not me blowing smoke or inflating my experiences. These's are some of the Best i've ever delt with, I've been from southfield to ferndale to suburban in troy and this is the only mechanic rebuilding his own motor's and fixing factory error's. From the service desk to sales people i recommend this dealership.
The truck that I was looking at was posted on their website but after talking to a salesman he said it was sold and tried to get me to get a more expensive vehicle.
Yet on the website it said it had all the vehicles that were on the website.
Sounds like false advertising to me.

About a week ago I looked at Al Serra as is vehicles and investigate a 2014 Saturn Vue,so on Saturday August 1,2020.My nephew went with me to look at the Saturn Vue p,we tested drove it and had it checked out at a private business.
It drove smooth.
I was well pleased.
It had minor issues but what used car doesn't.
So on Monday my nephew dropped me off at Al Serra again and my grandson liked it.I signed the paperwork and presented my insurance.
My salesman had the SUV cleaned up because it was very dusty and was bothering my asthma.
We still have to have it cleaned throughly,but I was very very happy.
I got my SUV on my own.I needed no co-signer plus I had a good downpayment.
I bought my 3rd truck from Al Serra too.

Has anyone else have their air conditioner not working after a oil change. This is our forth new vehicle that we have taken in for a oil change. And came out to discover once again our air was not working. This time before taking our new car in for a oil change, we checked our air and it was working great. But not after our oil change. Talked to our neibor and seems he had the same complaint. So after investing my air, I found the valve stem was loosened in the ac unit..
This is our second time buying through Al Serra, if that says anything. Kevin in Used sales was awesome, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. I got a great price on a great vehicle. I highly recommend this place.
For the most part everyone is amazing. However, they don't always double check things, such as fluids, and someone likes to leave their trash in the car SOMETIMES. Normally they are quick to get the work done.
Service dept. is crooked. They tried to charged my son for a system analysis after he had his car towed there, even they couldn't open the hood, as they had no keys.
After pointing this out, they " graciously" took back the charge.
My family and friends have avoided them like the plague.
Tom was very helpful throughout the entire transaction. He communicated very well and made it an enjoyable experience!
My first experience buying a car from a dealership and I thought I found a great deal. I went and looked at the car and they were very helpful. After I did decide to go with the car is when the issues started. They had to put on new struts and tires and so had to wait for 4 hours. Got back and they told me they broke the tire pressure censor and I was going to have to come back to have it fixed. Later they went to detail the car and they broke off the driver side mirror. Then they decided to let me use a car while they fixed it and they said they would drop the car off to me while I waited. Finally a week later I got the car and the mirror was new and installed but very shaky. The tire pressure censor was not repaired even though they said it would be. And the window was now cracked. I thought these were things they would work with me and fix and I got an Email back every few days and the guy was not helpful at all. In the end I was basically just screwed and nothing was going to be resolved. Don t buy from this place unless you expect to have them do damage to the car you buy and then not fix it. Definitely not a great first experience and it s the last time I will ever go there.
What a horrible experience! Most unprofessional experience ever!
I dropped my wife's van off at Al Serra Chrysler so the mechanic could tell me why I was smelling coolant every time it puled into my home garage. The oil change facility I frequent claimed they could not see anything leaking and the level was consistently on full. I also asked them to look at the fog lamp that was out and some dash lights that were out. After a number of hours I was contacted by the service person (Dion) and given a estimate for over $1800. I was told that the heater core hoses had leaks, the intake manifold gasket was leaking, the coolant temp sensor switch was leaking, the rear caliper assembly was leaking, the aux trans oil cooler was leaking, the fog lamp needed replaced, the trans CV axle shaft seal was leaking, and the entire AC assembly needed replaced because the light bulbs were part of the unit. Needless to say, I drove in the next morning and told them I was not interested in spending that kind of money on a van with 104,000 on the clock. Dion at the desk (who referred to me as Dog!) said he would see what he could do. He then talked to his manager Dan Erickson and Dan came out and told me he could get $440 reduced by asking Chrysler to cover the manifold leak under warranty even though it expired 4000 miles ago. I told Dan that if he could cover it then go ahead and do that work without doing the other work. He said no, I wont go to bat for you unless I spend $1400 on the other stuff. I asked why because I knew he could get Chrysler to pay him for the warranty service. He said no and I said lets part ways and I will pay the $99 inspection fee. Dan told me if I choose to not do the work I now owe him $400 for the inspection. I told him that's crazy but go ahead and charge me for it on my Visa and I would argue the charges with the Visa company. At that point he said he was going to keep my car even though I was going to pay the $400. I told him he was crazy and this wasn't legal. Needless to say, he walked away and then Dion comes out with a $200 bill still calling me Dog! This was very unpleasant considering I bought a $32,000 Honda from Al Serra 8 days before. I will never give Al Serra my business again although I have had great experiences over the years with Al Serra Honda. Kudos to them, but the service dept at Al Serra Chrysler has ruined my relationship with them.

First off My salesman was spot on and was great. Glenn Libtow is top notch and has been great for me. I have bought 3 new cars from Glenn over the last 2 1/2 years. I bought a car on Sept. 6 th from Al Serra Chevy in Grand Blanc. As usual Glenn was great.
I didn't test drive the car prior to purchase I figured brand new should be fine right? Well it has a problem with the tires and flat spots from sitting on the lot for months. Car was built in April of this year so safe bet sitting for 4-5 months. OK so back into service day after I bought it with 121 miles on the car. Tried to explain my concerns with the shaking at hwy speeds and noise coming from the tires. The next day they tell me they hear and see the symptoms I described when I dropped it off. They tell me to drive for 500 miles and should go away. This is wrong information by someone who clearly knows nothing about tires and or out of round and flat spots. Kinda got the impression that they just didn't care or want to deal with this. They did give me a loaner over night which I am sure was covered by new car warranty. I did not buy the "wheel and tire" warranty at purchase but isn't the wheel and tires covered by "NEW CAR WARRANTY"? Maybe I just don't use them any more and go where my gut says better service period.
Pretty poor when you buy a new car and can't get it fixed ,repaired, quickly , just for customer satisfaction. And with only 121 miles. Hmmm, bet I don't do them again. Thanks for wasting my time and simply telling me can't do anything about until you drive it for "a while". Sounds kinda lame coming from such a large establishment. Chevy customer service sent me to another dealer with what appears to be a GREAT service department. I understand sometimes stuff just happens , but seriously a new car with 121 miles slap 4 tires on that don't vibrate and call it good.

Good place to go for oil changes if you have a half hour to an hour to wait. Cheap but can take some time. Sometimes they also wash your vehicle
Nick Bishop has always been a pleasant person to deal with, most of all, I love his integrity. I am not a wall flower type of person to deal with and Nick has always guided me in the best direction for my needs. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty (literally) to assist with turn in of a prior vehicle or with getting the deal done on a new one.

The only place you should buy a car whether new or used! I have bought 2 cars from this dealership and always get an amazing deal with a HUGE selection of used vehicles to pick from. Be warned you may go in there one day fall in love with a car go home to think about it and then it is gone the next day.

The only place i typically take my vehicle for services such as maintenance and oil changes they always do a good job. Sometimes if you need services done on the maintenance side it may be a wait depending on the job due to the volume of vehicle's waiting but its defiantly worth the wait.

I test drove a Jeep from the front door to the edge of the road and it would not go into gear. Salesman said he would have a mechanic check it out. I sat around for 5 hours and now I have a derogatory hard inquiry on my credit. So Al Sierra has not been a good experience for me. I would not have even written this but it's the fact that it still remains on my credit that burns me.
This was first time to visit and buy a vehicle at Al Serra and it was first class all the way, we are from out of town and were on a time crunch, I explained that when I got there everything had to be ready to go and done, and it was all better than my expectations, we were treated like family, I will be looking back here to purchase again in the future.
