A lot of empty promises. Tried to refinance with them on two different occasions. They finally tell me that nothing else is needed but the appraisal. So I pay for the appraisal and guess what? It fell right through. They just keep needing more and more and more information, turning into an endless cycle. When they are done with you they simply stop answering the phone or returning your phone calls. Extremely unprofessional. I specifically told the broker that I was not paying for an appraisal until all my ducks were in a row. Got screwed anyway.

My wife and I were shopping for a mortgage as she just took a job in Mobile and needed to move fast. I called AMIC and a guy by the name of David Edwards answered. I was worried that because of our bad credit (around 620) we would not be able to qualify. However, David walked us through several options that got us approved rather quickly. Moving totally sucks, but we were glad we got lucky in finding David. He made the process of moving and getting a pretty good rate feel easy. I hope if we move again, he is around to help us.

I would like to commend Aaron Nieves, the agent for Advance Mortgage LLC. This was my fourth real estate transaction in less than a year. From our very first contact, I was impressed by his professionalism and his extensive VA mortgage knowledge. Even though I was in discussion with another lender, he still provided me with excellent guidance. His patience is remarkable because I was beginning to get very frustrated with the underwriters and he was able to calm me down and we were successful in closing a 30 year VA loan for 2.25%. I dealt with Mike Moore and he followed up immediately to every email and even called me to make sure the process was moving along smoothly and to see if there was anything more he could do to help. My builder ended up forcing me to stay with their in-pocket lender, but I'd do business again with Mike and the team at Advance Mortgage in a heartbeat!

I've utilized Advance Mortgage on two different occasions. Both times I've had the good fortune to Work with Misty Thompson. Throughout, I found Misty to be professional and very knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and guided me, step by step through the mortgage process. She made refinancing my home an easy endeavor. I highly recommend Misty to anyone looking to use Advance Mortgage.

Several months ago I got a phone call from this company after seeking information on a VA refi program to lower my rate. I explained to the guy what I wanted, which was a 30 year fixed zero cost at 3.0 or lower. Otherwise, I was content with my already low rate. He explained that there was no way he could get there and we amicably agreed that he could follow up down the road if and when rates dropped.

Fast forward to last month, I get a text from Joe reminding me who he was and asking if I'd be interested in him checking into rates for me. Again, I explained 3.0 or better 30 year fixed with zero cost. He asked if he could run some numbers and get back to me which I agreed. A few hours later, I get an alert through a credit monitoring service saying that something happened and my score was impacted. I log in and look and see "Credit Technologies". I text Joe back and ask him if he pulled my credit to which he replies that he did because he needed to get accurate numbers to put together a proposal.

Long story short, this fool was putting together a loan package for a 3.375 loan which is the exact same loan that I have now. I never gave him permission for anything and don't even know how he got my SSN but he just went ahead and started putting together a loan packing even though he knew, regardless of my credit score which is well above 800, there was no way that he could offer me a 3.0 30 year fixed.

So I asked him to call me, he got smug and acted like he was doing me a favor and I was being ungrateful to which I replied that I didn't want inquiries and there was a reason my credit score is what it is (because I don't let people pull it for no reason). I explained that I was going to report this incident and we essentially ended the conversation. I ended up finding the names for the owner and a manager (Mr. Bahouth and Mr. Josh Speer). I sent them both an email explaining that I didn't necessarily want to get folks in trouble but they needed to train their personnel and I wanted the inquiry removed.

This is where it gets frustrating, 3 weeks later, they are still playing dumb. They acknowledge that they, as a company messed up. They say that they terminated Joe even though I said that wasn't what I wanted. They say that this is unheard of for someone to request an inquiry removal and they don't know how to go about it. I've spoken with Credit Technologies and Experian and both say that there is a process and it can be removed but I would need something requesting it in writing from Advanced Mortgage. So they simply are too lazy to do what I ask, even though they acknowledge that they made a mistake.

Very disappointing. I recommend that you stay away from this company. They are poorly run and they can't offer rates any better than the next guy. That's the big secret of this industry. The rates are the rates and no company can or will give you a better rate than the guy down the street, you just have to pick the best company to go with and Advanced Mortgage is not that guy.

This was my wife and I's first refinance and I chose Advance Mortgage out of Spanish Fort. The loan officer I worked with was Kris Bahouth. He was wonderful and always a phone call away. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a mortgage or a refinance.

Mike Hammock at Advance Mortgage and Investment Company was my champion in the long and difficult process of getting my refinance done. I can't say enough good about Mike. He stuck by me through the entire process and with every hurdle that came up he found a way to get through it and my refinance ended up taking a year to accomplish due to extenuating circumstances. Mike stayed in close communication every step of the way and worked hard to make a refinance work for me so that I could pay off crushing debt that I was left with at the end of a bad relationship. I was told by many finance officers that I would never get out from underneath this debt and I would have to file bankruptcy to get out from underneath of it. I was determined to NOT go down that road and ruin my credit which would also effect my career in law enforcement. I was determined to stay on top of my bills and work 3 jobs. Mike was my hero and worked with me and got my refinance accomplished despite all the difficulties and naysayers! This refinance is life changing for me and now I don't have to spend every waking moment working seven days a week to earn enough money to pay off my bills. THANK YOU MIKE!

Still a little up on the air but I must say this is the absolute worst experience I have had financing a home. After receiving a mail out I decided I would try to refinance my home after having to replace an expensive a/c unit. Mr Anderton was the one I was dealing with, and Communication was horrible throughout the process and I did everything that was asked of me. 2 months later I m told they can t do it because of a discrepancy in my W2. Did I mention I m out 500.00 for an appraisal and late fees on a mortgage I was told not to pay? Find another company to refinance with. This is not how business is supposed to be done.

I m so happy we refinanced our home. We worked with Nick Walsh a few months ago right when COVID hit and he kept in constant contact with us as the situation with interest rates were changing. He kept his eye on interest rates and when the time was right he locked us into an incredible rate that saved us about few hundred dollars every month!

We are so lucky to have had Stephen Rossi as our mortgage officer. My cousin sent me to him when she heard we were in the process of buying our first home, initially I didn t expect to need his contact info as my credit union is locally famous for having the best rates and figured any private mortgage agency could not compete with a bank cause the private guys rely on their commission... Our realtor sat down with us and helped us organize all the offers and variables and confirmed Steve had met our needs with more than half of a percent lower interest rate and the cash to close was less than the FHA option. Steve was so amazing throughout the process, unbelievable speed responding to countless questions and then getting everything to the closing table in record time! My husband and I had been casually looking to purchase our first home for over a year, but we suddenly found ourselves (with our two little ones) in a situation where we had a bit of a time crunch to find, purchase, and move into our new home. Once we found our perfect home and the offer was accepted, we d planned to use our credit union for our mortgage, as we had an established relationship and it was known to have better rates. However, based on a recommendation, my husband reached out to Steve Rossi, and after comparing what our credit union offered and what Steve offered (which he provided quicker and with much more ease than anywhere else we had contacted), it was clear that we needed to go with Steve & AMIC. Now, I have heard horror stories about home-buying, and I m grateful to say that was not at all our experience due largely to the ease of working with Steve. His patience as we navigated the process for the first time with hectic work and family schedules combined with his quick responses and overall relaxed demeanor helped us to enjoy the experience, even as scary as it is. Our original contract had a pretty quick closing date to ensure we were able to move in time; however, in order for the sellers to make a couple repairs on the home, our agent negotiated an even sooner closing date. Steve rose to the occasion, making our entire mortgage process, start to finish, less than 20 days. Even as a first-time homebuyer, I am confident we wouldn t have gotten the same service and ease if we had gone any where else. Five stars all around!

Craig Anderton at AMIC.CO made my refinance a breeze. Due to my less than average credit score, my options at other lenders was limited. That was not the case with Craig at AMIC.CO. He was able to get me a competitive rate and close in the time frame he originally predicted. I highly recommend working with Craig and the AMIC team - they were great!

Don t use this company completely incompetent employee Nick Walsh says I m approved and then 3 months later and false promises says I m not approved for no valid reason. Unbelievable and worst is good luck ever trying to get ahold of the itiet. He is either on his cell or out of the office 4-5 days of the week!!! Worst experience I have ever had!!!

I was sent a mailer and decided to call for information. I spoke with Mr Robert Wills. He gave me a snapshot of the process. I got my refi done in about 4-1/2 weeks. He was very professional and patient in getting my refi done in a timely manner. I would recommend and use this company in the future.

Not sure why there is 1 star reviews. I refinanced with them and it could not have been more smooth. Frank Fletcher whom I dealt with and recommend was extremely helpful and professional. All documents were thru email or docu scan and could not have been more convenient. Appraisal was a smooth process as well. No pressure was ever used during my decision. If you keep records of your finances and have a good idea of your home value then really it's a walk in the park experience. Again I dealt with Frank Fletcher and cant speak on any other broker but him. Ask for Frank and you ll see what I m talking about.

I just finished the loan process a few days ago and I had a wonderful experience with everyone that I dealt with, especially Frank Fletcher. There guys are true professionals. The process took longer than I had originally anticipated. We hit a few bumps in the road that were not the fault of AMIC and Mr. Fletcher. But, after each snag these guys quickly adjusted and found a solution. Frank kept me posted on a daily basis. I never felt that I was being misled or kept in the dark. He contacted me after hours, on weekends, and even when he was away from the office. This was my third home loan and by far the most pleasant experience. I will recommend AMIC and Mr. Fletcher to anyone that I know who is looking to purchase a home or refinance a home loan. Again, true professionals that will treat you like a person and not a number.

Absolute worst experience of my life. If Shane is in charge of your account, you should run. I told him what my max monthly budget was for my refinance. He came back to me with a number that was higher than that. He told me let me see what I can work out . He came back later on with a lower note. I accepted and closed on the new loan. A week after I closed (when it was too late to back out of the refinance) I get a letter stating that HE LEFT FLOOD INSURANCE OUT OF MY MORTGAGE NOTE. I m in a flood zone and required to have flood insurance. So guess what?...my note went right back up to what it was the first time when I told him I wasn t comfortable with that monthly note. At this point I m not grandfathered in with my old flood insurance price and it goes up to an even higher price. So not only am I out of budget, I m way out of budget. I refinanced in February and I m still fighting with insurance. I m now finding out that they don t have homeowners insurance covered either. It s been an absolute nightmare. Do not trust them. They ll trap you into giving them your money then hit you with higher payments once you sign and it s too late. If I could go back and do it all again I absolutely would. I m disgusted with this company and their lack of desire to make things right. They tell me there s nothing they could do and it was a mistake that flood insurance was left out, but Shane and I discussed flood insurance multiple times through the whole process. He knew I needed it. They say they can t do anything to fix it, but they sure took that 5 thousand dollars from me to refinance. How about not charge me for screwing up my life and my money?...that would be a start.

I've used Misty Thompson twice now to refinance my home post divorce and college bound kids. There aren't words to say how incredible her work is. I am changing my previous bad rating and review for Advance Mortgage Company. My complaints and bad rating before has been addressed by Josh Speer, in a quick and efficient manner. I appreciate his immediate acknowledgement of the things that had left me feeling dissatisfied with my experience of our loan application and appraisal and follow up. He is correcting the situation and has listened to my concerns. I can see now that they do care when someone is unhappy with their results and they will work to remedy the problems, and I must say quickly and professionally. Franklin Fletcher, at Advance Mortgage helped me with my house refinancing. I have worked with several different Mortgage and Investment Companies over the past 20 years and I have to say that Franklin Fletcher and Advance Mortgage & Investments is absolutely the best company I have ever worked with. My last Mortgage & Investment Company before this, made all kinds of mistakes with my refinancing and caused my monthly payment to go UP over $300.00. My wife and I just completed a refinance of my home in Vestavia Hills, Alabama through AMIC, located in Spanish Fort, Alabama. I have purchase a number of homes over the years and have had considerable experience with the process.This time we used our VA benefit to finance.

I worked with Mike Hammock on the loan and I must say that he is by far the best loan officer with whom I have ever dealt . During the process we encountered a series of problems that Mike helped us overcome.

1. He has a way to help one raise their credit score (in some cases) and did this for me which saved the deal.I had no idea this could be done.

2. The appraisal we got was ridiculously low and Mike worked to provide comps that were in my neighborhood to the VA Regional office. The VA took little time in raising the value based on the comps he provided. This saved the deal.

3. He worked directly with my loan officer at my bank in Birmingham to work through the process of rolling an equity line into the deal.

4. More than once he worked diligently to save our very low interest rate as the process was delayed by the problems I have listed, and others.

I could go on and on listing problem after problem Mike helped us overcome and never once lost his patience. He was constantly updating me on every minute detail during the process. We have now become friends and have a lot in common as we are both Veterans of the Armed services. Do yourself a huge favor and consider strongly working with Mike. You won't be sorry - or even more importantly ' stressed'....

Mr. Steven Rossi was our loan processor and he did such a great job! The upfront disclosure of fees and wide selection of rates and points that were offered just couldn't be beat by others. A real pleasure to work with.

Tough to be writing a bad review about a company that did help us out on our loan. The follow through is highly disappointing I would also be very careful if Philip Zangas gets the lone. The main issue I have is during the process we had to get our home appraised, which is normal Philip told us the cost would be 450$. We said no problem paid the 450$ well about a week went by without a call from the appraiser, turns out they want more money 100$. For us this is when the problems started, like a turn used car sells men, Philip says " do not worry about that 100$ we will just put it on the company card no problem." From this point on if there was a sang to be hit, we hit it during this loan, first off Philip thought our home would appraise much higher which it did not, however that is not fully his fault. Over all it took over 8 weeks to close this loan, and again we had to have the house reappraised for FHA which was 100$ more, again used car sales men pitch for that 100 as well. We made it to closing and just guess what was on the closing paper work? that 200$ added to our loan, what happened to do not worry we got it? Our loan closed first Friday of July here we are August 18 still have not either had the money credited back to our load, or received a check. Now let me tell you Philip was one spot to get our information to get this loan going, but do you think he has good follow up taking care of this 200$ not a chance. He first claimed to sent us a check in the mail 3 weeks ago, which I knew would never arrive, now he claims to have sent it Fedex on Monday, but has yet to provide us with any tracking. So in my eyes he is basically lying to us, which honestly would you want this lack of integrity handling such large loans for you I think not. I have left a voice mail for the CEO with no return call, and also have followed up with management, still waiting for a follow. We also do have all the text message saved of Philip promises to make rite on the 200$.

Just keep in mind this is the kind of business this company is running, my hope is by making this public they will follow up. I will happy update this post on any update they do, but the one star will remain.

Just sold/purchased home with same-day closings. Thanks to Kris Bahouth of AMIC this was done in less than a month with clear step-by-step instructions. Had a terrible experience with this company back in 2016. Did everything that they asked me to and the inept broker (Mike Hammock) let the application go stale, all while telling me it was in process. What a waste of time and effort (about 6 months). Went with Quicken (now Rocket Mortgage). Got a better rate and was closed in a month. Now these people are texting me wanting to work up a proposal. Fat chance! Go with someone who knows what they re doing, not just looking for a payday.

They sent us mail with a reference number back in January. I called and referenced the number and thought that this would be a smooth process, almost feeling as if it is a scam because Nick Walsh stated that he would send me a proposal. (Never received) After calling back for almost 2 weeks, finally got a hold of him and he stated that he couldn't because he needed more information. Provided that information and he is just completely unresponsive to emails and phone calls. Do not recommend if you want to work with a company who is responsive and communicates well. It is now end of April, for reference, 4 months without even receiving a proposal.

I had an awesome experience with my refinance. Frank Fletcher was awesome and made the process very easy. We had unique situation and he was still able to work with us.

Finally pulled the trigger to refinance and couldn't have been happier with our rep, Stephen Rossi. Recently I took advantage of the low mortgage rates and refinanced my loan with Brantley from Advance Mortgage. The service Brantley provided was outstanding. He is knowledgeable, well spoken and a kind young professional. In the world of digital customer service, quick responsiveness, compassion, patience, professionalism, and follow up are most invaluable and is what really resonates with customers in my experienced opinion. Brantley hits all high marks in regards to these attributes, a true southern gentleman. He was patient with me when I was unavailable and kindly followed up with me multiple times when he didn't hear back which was sincerely appreciated as it kept us on track. I have refinanced three times in my lifetime, and this last time with Brantley, was by far the most efficient, easy, and pleasant.
The local notary/mortgage closing service that Advance Mortgage also contract was top notch as well out here in Denver. The rep that came to our house to close (which was wonderful especially during a pandemic) was very experienced and great to work with. Overall I don't think it could have gone any better.
