A hotel without air conditioning is absolutely ridiculous

Location is wonderful. On the river spree. The rooms are very good size and clean. We had a twin bedroom and was very happy except they should have put another comfy chair in as well as my friend hogged both chairs and I had to sit on the bed. The staff were excellent I thought. Understood your special needs and provided accordingly. The breakfasts were over and above perfect. Catered for all dietry needs. Walking distance from the nearest S bahn Belle Vue. The walks and views along the river were mindfully calming and scenic. A lovely organic cafe 1 mins walk away. All together agreat place with great staff. Would stay there again.

We had a deluxe maritime room - west side on the second floor - with a view of the Spree. Room was stylishly furnished and larger than a usual standard room. The bathroom was also large and spacious. All in all cozy. Contrary to many hotels it was very quiet!
The breakfast room is also tastefully furnished or divided. The breakfast was adapted to the current hygiene rules and implemented really well. Very rich selection, the quality of the food was very good. The fitness room on the 9th floor is also good. Cross trainer, treadmill, exercise bike, multi-gym, dumbbells and mats were available and in good condition. Great view of the Spree and Berlin while exercising, what more could you want.

Carl & Sophie, the Spree restaurant are highly recommended. Excellent quality and very good, unobtrusive service, perfect!

Can just be recommended. Quiet hotel right on the Spree. S Bahn in the immediate vicinity. Castle Belvedere only 10 minutes walk away.

I do not like this place so much because you have to search a lot where the hotel is

Service staff is very nice. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The best part was the breakfast buffet. This was very varied and really delicious. Very good hotel!

Very nice, but pricey hotel not particularly close to anything. The rooms are spacious, clean and decent. However, I have NEVER had a greater and better breakfast choice among about 100 hotels I reviewed in life. Hence, worth visiting.

We were allowed to feel at home here during our 4 day stay. We already had this feeling when we checked in.

The room was very nice, the bed comfortable, everything was clean and the view of the Spree was a dream.

Very good location - central and yet very quiet in the evening. Some of the sights can be reached on foot or quickly via the nearby Bellevue S-Bahn station.

The breakfast corner is simply mega and offers everyone the right thing for a good start to the day.

There are only two really minimal criticisms:
- with the knife to cut bread at the breakfast buffet you have to struggle - very blunt - you cut scraps from the delicious bread
- the service staff at breakfast are almost too attentive and serve the plates while you are still enjoying the last leftovers

Definitely a clear recommendation for all Berlin visitors. We'll definitely be back.

Unique hotel, with underground room & upper deck above the ground, accommodate up to 4 pax but only one toilet also limited amenities. The staffs can barely speak Englisch but in all, very good staff, comfortable & warm to stay..keep up the good work. Greetings from Indonesia, ah ja very good breakfast also..

Unfortunately it was only two nights, the location is great. At breakfast you didn't know where to start, nothing was left to be desired. I will be happy to book with you again on occasion.

Beautiful hotel! We got a room with a fantastic view on the Spree. The most delicious breakfast buffet was served in the morning. Fresh orange juice, soy milk, fresh honey, we couldn't have asked for more. We'll be back :)

Visited this hotel not as a hotel guest, but as a trainer of a training event. In principle, a hotel of the upper class, but also an old building and the presentation of the hotel itself is not modern but rather "classic".

Visited the AMERON bar late in the night for a drink with a friend. Staff was able to mix drinks that weren't on the menu. Service was very quick. The hotel is in front of the Spree so you can have a look on the river while enjoying a drink or having lunch with colleagues. The food is supposed to be great as well but didn't have the chance yet to test it for myself. Will come back!

The only problem was the inefficient air condition. My room was never cool enough! The air flow was even slower after the midnight. The meeting room on a Saturday morning was again very warm! Some people left early! I think the hotel needs and deserves a better air condition.

Other than that, the reception was excellent! Room was very clean. Restaurant was a little limited menu but cheap for the quality! Excellent drinks. Breakfast was very high quality, rich and fast service. Called the room service at night for some extra muesli or cereals and milk but there was no supply! Some yogurt? The answer was no again!

I might be unusual to ask for cereals late at night but the quality of an international hotel is to supply the unusual demands!

Very nice hotel, which I like to book on business trips. The hotel is very modern and clean, the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and the service staff is very friendly. The location is perfect. With the Spree next to the hotel, it is downright idyllic. It is quiet and with very good access to public transport.

Actually used as a business hotel, unfortunately now at breakfast as in the fair with rumtobenden children.

The staff is very nice and really tried hard. Breakfast is okay too. Unfortunately, the maisonette rooms are so noisy that you can hear the neighbors and we hardly kept an eye out. Therefore unfortunately not to be recommended.

The hotel is modern and beautiful in a great location by the river and very accessible to major transportation lines, like the Bellevue station. Their breakfast is varied, large and of high quality. The staff here is excellent- kind and caring. I had a great experience. Highly recommended!

We had a duplex family room with plenty of space and great light. Upstairs area had a pull out couch made up as the queen bed with 2 singles in the lower area. Incredible hot and cold buffet breakfast and attentive, friendly helpful staff. The hotel is in a quiet beautiful area on the River Spree with a variety of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The walk from the center of Berlin along the river to the hotel was about 30-40 mins with great views along the way of traditional and contemporary architecture. The train was a 5-10 minutes walk away with a great bakery under the arches.

Very modern hotel with a good location. Only 5 minutes walk to the next S-Bahn station and from there only one stop to the main station Berlin. Small but fine gym with modern equipment. Breakfast is excellent !!! We recommend!

Good location and good sized and we'll equipped rooms. However, being woken at 7am by heavy maintenance in the room above, involving apparently sawing, hammering and use of heavy equipment, either a steam cleaner or grinding machine, completely unacceptable. Oh and in room phone doesn't work so I cannot call reception.

At a 4 star hotel flat screens should be standard, the tv reception was miserable. The location of the hotel is great for exploring Berlin. The bike rental must be better organized and is too expensive compared to other cities.

Great location, but the rooms weren't 100% clean and the breakfast was unfortunately too expensive ... but the staff is really nice!
We were really looking forward to the sauna, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. In total there were only three loungers for a total of 5 people who visited the sauna at the time. In addition, the steam sauna was in need of renovation, there was no hose both in the steam sauna and after the sauna to take a shower ...

Nice hotel, excellent location, good breakfast. But NEVER stay there if you are a light sleeper. Hotel does not have individual air condition for rooms so on hot weather you will HAVE to open the windows. There is also some kind of store nearby which starts moving their containers and have all delivery trucks from 5 a.m. Every day.

I like it again and again central location, S-Bahn Bellevue nearby, opposite mooring for Spreefahrt, and again class weather

This hotel is very suitable for events of all kinds and I have already organized several training seminars for doctors there. We have been holding company and employee meetings of my current employer there for about 2 years and are satisfied with the organization and catering of the house. The service is always friendly and attentive. I can also highly recommend the restaurant on the ground floor, especially in summer, with an open view of the Spree and the excursion steamers passing by.

A really great hotel. We were very surprised at the ambience of the hotel, not a standard hotel.
We were greeted in a very friendly manner and felt immediately welcome.
The location is really great. In our room we had a direct view of the Spree. The rooms were also first class.
There is a small coffee machine in the room, which was also actively used. The spa area is now not very large but is enough for this hotel, it is not a wellness hotel either. There is a sauna and a really nice steam bath. The fitness area is also very well equipped. We can highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Berlin.
The location is great too. One stop by S-Bahn from the main train station.

I was a little disappointed. Family rooms have a very uncomfortable sofa bed, not acceptable for a hotel of this category.

Unfortunately, this is not really an Althoff hotel. The rooms were ok, a bit dated and not really comfortable. The box spring beds for my taste a little too shaky and the bathroom a bit dirty. Alone the hall to the room was (carpet) very dirty and stained. The breakfast was (very expensive) but really good. The staff very friendly.

This hotel did everything Right for me.

Comfortable room with ample space and a very nice view onto the Spree river. Everything in good working condition and almost perfectly clean. Very quiet - really had the Illusion I was on my own, however during breakfast times it showed that this wasn't the case. No lines however. Staff courteous, attentive and competent. Excellent breakfast. Several options for public transport within short walking distance. Shopping opportunities no longer than 10 mins away.
