My husband gave me a list of Mortgage loan Companies to call , I called 2 of them and then I call A1 Mortage and was transferred to Mr Wesley McDonald , and speaking with him over the phone , I decided not to call any other of those names on the list that my husband left me . This was our first home , we had no idea what we were doing , but Wes and his team worked with us and put our minds at ease . He was very professional, helpful, easy to work with . We could call , text or email him at anytime , and he was always there to reply . Wes wen above and beyond and took care of our loan from start to finish....We would not have closed on time without him . I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend Wes to anyone !!! He was awesome !! Came across A1mortage flyer in my mail and had been looking to refinance my VA loan and take out part of my equity to pay off bills. I looked into the company and it had good reviews, I was a little surprised as it was Junk Mail Flyer but I gave them a call. I called and a receptionist pick up after a few rings who asked a couple short questions then transferred me to Vic, at which point I was given his direct line; this made communicating with him very effective.
Vic was amazing, he was thorough in finding out what my goal of referencing was and how much it would cost me. He explained every line item and made sure I was comfortable and understood how much the closing fees would be. There was ZERO pressure to continue after he had explained everything but it all made sense I it was going to put me a in a more secure position now and long term.
I decided to move forward with the process and while going through the process ran into a tax issue which would have stopped me approved from being approved. Vic was knowledgeable with new laws and regulations. After discussing these changes with the underwriter he tax issue was moot. Vic went above and beyond helping in this process and I was able to get the amount I needed and close within two weeks of starting the process.
Vic s knowledge and dedication is why I was able to get this loan and will be able to improve my financial future. I plan on refinancing again in the future and I wouldn t want to go through this process with anyone else but Vic DeSantis.

Mike Cash was very patient and explained everything to me since I was new to the homebuying process. I initially went with A-1 because although my credit history was flawed, Mike didn't brush me off or make me feel like it was impossible to purchase a home like some other companies did when I was comparing. I knew I made the right choice with Mike Cash at A-1 Mortgage and we now have our home!!

We applied for a refinance with A1 Mortgage in early January, after having refinanced with them previously in 2010. Our mortgage loan officer, Vic DeSantis, went over several different refinancing options with me and my wife, and let us know the pros and cons to each. When we settled on the best option for us, we went with the one that was actually a little higher in interest rate (still a few points lower than our previous rate) but allowed us to drop the mortgage insurance. Overall savings ended up being $250/month.

Our process was painless, and while we did have to pay $400 for the appraisal (an unfortnate cost that often accompanies any loan against your home), but we are getting back nearly $2000 from the title company, along with $1100 via escrow refund from our previous loan holder (+ saving nearly $10,000 in interest over the life of the loan compared to our previous mortgage).

We spent less than 2 hours in the office total (including closing), and never had any issue at all with anything along the way. We were kept well informed throughout the process, and Vic stayed in constant communication with us to let us know how things were coming. He also coached us in how best to handle the appraiser, and provided us a copy of our previous appraisal (from 2010) to have on hand. Our home met the appropriate appraisal amount that Vic estimated...can't blame A1 for the housing market still not having fully rebounded.

We just purchased our first home using A1 Mortgage! We worked with Jack Chalmers and I would highly recommend using him! He was very informative when we had questions and was very patient with us throughout the whole process. We couldn't have asked for a better first time home buying experience!
