We just refinanced through A1 Mortgage. I had inquired with 3-4 different companies in the Kansas City area to check on the terms and rates. They were all offering comparable terms and were all quite well rated in BBB. We picked A1 Mortgage primarily because we wanted to get this done quickly and the loan office, Ami Buccero, promised that they could get our loan closed in approximately 2 weeks or less. When I asked the other companies they said that 2 weeks would be hard to do and most unlikely. So we were a little skeptic when signing up with Ami at A1 Mortgage but I am happy to report that they did live up to their promise of superfast closing. Ami was always on top of things keeping us posted regularly during the whole process and sent us all of the paperwork and documents in a very timely manner. Long story short, all we had to do is forward the documents she requested and before we know we had a scheduled closing date.

Ami's customer service deserves special kudos. After our closing, we realized that there was a 1-day delay in paying off our previous mortgage company and therefore there was a chance that we would be hit with a Late Fee since the loan payoff had hit the books after the late payment deadline for our monthly payment. I explained this to Ami and she promptly volunteered to send us a check for the Late Fee. Luckily, it turned out that the Late Fee was not charged by our previous mortgage company. However, we are very glad that Ami offered to compensate us for the Late Fee even without our asking.

In summary, although there are many good mortgage companies in KC, we would highly recommend going with A1 Mortgage because they have excellent customer service and they do deliver on their promise of quick closing.

My luck usually runs cold, but not this time. I was blessed to work with Jack Chambers for the refinancing of my home. I would describe Ami as a consumer mortgage super hero! Going through a refi due to a divorce is no easy thing, but Ami was so patient with me during the process. She worked incredibly hard to make things happen, and she was very accommodating. She is officially my go-to loan officer for all things consumer mortgage. By the way, I've worked with Marty at A-1 some time ago; and he's awesome as well.

I can't speak highly enough of my time working on my refi with Ami of A-1. She had her work cut out for her from the outset: I called her on a whim after receiving a well-timed mailer from A-1. I was already armed with a competitive refi offer from my current lender. At the time we were with one of the big national lenders. They had scale, but they didn't have Ami. Ami was honestly the deciding factor, in her transparency and her speed. In transparency: contrary to what was then our current lender, Ami gave me the best rate she could offer up front. Our other lender was then forced to play catch up, but the interest rate in their counter offer was so much drastically lower than their initial offer than I was sure they couldn't be trusted to deal honestly. And in speed: Ami assured me sure could close on my refi a month faster than my current lender, a fact that the loan officer from that bank questioned SO strongly that it almost made me question Ami. I'm glad I didn't! She delivered on a close date of just what she'd promised. And through it all (and this is also what won our business) she was INCREDIBLY responsive, both by email and phone. There wasn't a question I had that wasn't answered promptly or a document signed that wasn't processed asap, vs. waiting days for responses from my then current lender. They are no longer my lender, thanks to Ami! A-1 provided stellar customer service through her and I'm so glad I stuck with her through the entire process.

I approached Nick Payne about the potential of him doing a refinance on my property
in Lee Summit.

From the start of our conversation I did not have to lift a pen to even make
notes. As we discussed the opportunity he shared with me the current interest
rates & the opportunities to go with a fixed rate mortgage.

After we discussed the details of the mortgage and what was expected of me and how

I don't ever review things, but I had to make an exception for the excellent work these guys did handling the mess that was selling our house and buying our new house. There were a lot of issues that popped up with selling our house, but Rick took care of everything quickly and was very nice and professional through the whole thing. I cannot praise Lucas Brandt enough. The personal attention he provided made me feel like I was not just a number. He patiently answered all my questions and when I would call back with the same questions he again would patiently explain it all to me.
