I took my 08 Dodge Avenger here for service on Monday September 28, 2015. My check engine light and my Throttle sensor light were both on but my car was running fine. Bill who is the receptionist called and told me there was a ton of things going on with my vehicle. "The cooling System needed flushing, the thermostat housing needed to be changed, he said that I had a bad cooling temperature sensor that needed to be changed and I also needed a major tune up as. Bill gave me a total of $816.00!!! I felt like it was a lot but I also know that labor is the killer. So I gave him the ok to do the work. I asked him to place my old parts in a box and give them to me. They kept my car for 2 days. Bill called me on September 30, 2015 and said that my car was ready for pick up. In route home from work within 15 minutes of driving, I notice my car pulling, jerking and shaking really bad! I call the shop back and spoke with Bill, just like Pamela L said Bill's reply was "Oh bring it back and I'll have the guys to look at it!" My car drove worse than when I dropped it off.

The next day Thursday, October 1, 2015 I'm in route back to the shop I decided to stop by Auto Zone and let them do a diagnostic check for me. Low and behold the reading states THERE'S A 'FREAKING' MISFIRE IN CHANNEL 5 PO305 SPARK PLUG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED!!" When I arrived at the shop Bill asked for my key. I asked him if they put new parts on my car he immediately said yes. That was a lie because the Auto Zone reading stated that I needed new spark plugs! So obviously I didn't get a Major tune up huh?! Even I know that a major tune up comes with new wires and spark plugs. So Bill calls me back and says they located the problem. "There was a defect in the sparkplug when they received it!" ((I'm like so no one realize that while doing the repair work)) SMH!!

I got my car back the same day and I drove it the entire weekend and it seem to be running just fine. The check engine light didn't come on and it seem like that had resolved the issue. Low and behold I had to call Bill back Monday, October 5 around 5:30 to let him know that my car was pulling and making a slight noise as if it was reving up again. He says "Oh bring the car back in and we'll check it out" in his priest voice! Yeah Right!! Anyway! I called him back within 10 minutes of trying to make it home to let him know my check engine light came back on AGAIN. Guess what Bill had to say? Bring it back in and will figure out what the problem is! BULL CRAP!! It's all BULL CRAP!! This place is a joke!

Then next day which is October 6, 2015 I'm in route to work so I decided to stop at Auto Zone again to get the diagnoses of what's going on this time. The same guy at Auto Zone came out and said you're back again. So he proceeds to do the reading and tell me that it's now the P0430 that's reading which is the catalyst system. I'm pissed at this point! I take my car back to this God forbidden place and Bill and I are having a conversation about the issues I'm having now. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON!! DUDE!! THIS IS THE REASON I BROUGHT IT TO YOU IN THE FIRST FREAKING PLACE!! Your Ninja Turtles fixed everything except what I came in for!! WTH!!! I begin telling him about the reviews with a few people that had this EXACT same problem with this establishment. He goes in defense mode. Anyway!! I leave my car with them for the 3rd time only to get a call from Bill stating I need two catalyst convertors and that's gonna run me about $1,500.00 including parts and labor. Blah Blah Blah BULLSHIT!!

I will NEVER allow anyone from this establishment to touch my car ever again. I got my keys and I drove fast as I can away from this hole in the wall. This place is good for one thing only and that's an oil change!! 1 Decatur Pro Auto Repair is a rip-off! Oh by the way the other bad reviews have been removed as of today October 6, 2015.

I have been using Decatur Auto for years. They stand behind there work and they have honest and fair prices.

They are 1 Decatur Pro because that's their rating for themselves. If I could give these chumps a 0 rating I would. The only reason I'm writing this review is because Bill said that if he refunded my money, $232 for spark plugs and cleaning parts, that they would undo the work they did on my car and would have me sign an Affidavit to say that I won't give them a negative review. I dont know if its because I'm a black woman or what but this was THE WORST experience I've ever had. I got to their shop at 9:30am with intent of getting my engine light off. He said he understood but brought my car back to me with the light still on at 11am. I told him it's still on and he told me to go drive it around in traffic and that should reset the check engine light and if not to bring it back. Needless to say I brought it back at 12 noon and was told they would get the light off. Well I have to pick up my child from school by 2:30pm. That should be enough time to fix I thought. I couldn't wait so I asked how much longer so I wouldn't be late. They closed the hood of my car and told me to come back when I have time or if they refunded my money I couldn't come back to their shop. All I did was ask questions and yes I was upset I need to get my tag. I did not curse at them or cause a scene and they wanted to bar me from coming back. My husband called and told him to come back the next day, well he got there at 10:30am and was told they were busy to come back on Monday. Theses people will give you the run around if you are getting more than oil change and spark plugs. They just dont have time to fix your issues and provide customer service at the same time, but they will take your money. Would rather be treated fairly even if it means to pay more. WATCH OUT!!!

These people couldn't diagnose anything on my vehicle right. I had a couple issues with my Volvo but they kept guessing and asking me to pay for their wrong guesses. Even though they got it wrong - they didn't even offer a refund for the diagnostic after 3 tries of not guessing the problem with my car. They are horrible..

I'm never going back there ever again.

WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!

1st I had them do a diagnostic for 3 issues on my Saab. They told me exactly what they said would fix the issues. One of those issues was that the vehicle took several tries before it hesitantly started.

I figured on fixing these items one at a time. The following day from the date of the diagnostic - I took their suggestion to repair the issue causing the vehicle to start right away on the FIRST try. Dropped off the vehicle and would come back to pick it up.

I picked up the vehicle 4 / 5 hours later. Not only did they not fix the main issue - THEY MADE IT WORSE. The car's "ENGINE" light started coming on 15 minutes after I picked it up. And the car was stalling everytime I hit the gas. I took it back - the mechanic looked at it again and stated "It's fine - no problem". So I drove it home again and same issues and more. Car was still not starting right-away and now the car was stalling with the "ENGINE" light coming on every 10 / 15 minutes.

SO WHAT DID I PAY FOR? The diagnostic wasn't worth anything - cause it was wrong. And they fixed an irrelevant item on the car..

They refused to fix the problem or refund me ANY of what they charged me..

Be Safe - Find another repair shop.. Don't take your car to these people.

Best service, staff and pricing in the city. I have taken all my cars there for years and will continue to do so even if I move out of the city.

I popped in for a $15(!) emissions inspection and despite having 3-4 cars ahead of me, I was in and out in 10 minutes. I had them check a broken valve stem, they ordered it and I returned for this repair same day. Glad I stumbled across them!

Great place, it's just that labor is more than the parts.

My 06 BMW X5 needed some work. With all original parts I had no idea that there were something wrong accept when it overheated. I then pulled into #1Decatur Pro Auto Repair, after driving from downtown Atlanta. Never thought that I would have received the type of caring service that they showed me. Bill & Phuong, are very passionate about what they do as well as making sure that the customer is DEFINITELY satisfied. 1DPAR is far above and beyond any dealership service that I have ever received.This place is indeed a Treasure that gives great quality work from reliable experienced professionals. That doesn't take advantage of the customer because they are very affordable in price no matter what you drive. And they stand behind their work. ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN THE BEST.

All cars will have their problems, and if your car has multiple issues then your going to have multiple problems or the same problem depending on what parts are bad. There is such a thing as defective parts and if your warranty is up then that's what it is, and being cheap about your car doesn't mean your parts are of the manufacturers specifications. All shops have problems with customers simply because the customer is ignorant about everything involved when it comes to the vehicle itself and the dealership really isn't any better. A person can go to any shop and have a bad experience even at the dealer and give a bad review. Getting one problem fixed at a time isn't ideal and doesn't mean the main issue is going to go away. And just the car gets fixed for one thing or many things doesn't mean there won't be a different problem later or the same problem but different part causing the issue. Just because you go to the doctor doesn't mean he can cure you of your ailments and sickness.

I wouldn t be leaving this review if the service here wasn t so outstandingly bad. We ve experienced horrible customer service here on more than one occasion. They were extremely rude to my mother when she came here in a pinch and overcharged her for the one service she did need, and even tried charge her for services she absolutely didn t need (we got a second opinion from our regular mechanic at ABC Auto to confirm). Probably assumed she didn t know anything about cars as an Asian woman but surprise! She does. The mechanic even talked to a guy who came in after us first, and was so friendly and polite with him that I literally thought he was joking at first when he spoke to us so rudely. I ve experienced plenty of discrimination but this really made me take a step back. We absolutely would ve been treated differently if we looked differently. Overall it was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. They also removed a bunch of bad reviews to try and make themselves look better.

I called and spoke with Bill and he quoted me $59.95 for an alignment on toyota truck. I asked if they did camber adjustments as well and be said yes. I took the the truck by that afternoon and ajcfter attempting to perform alignment he informed me that the camber adjustment and alignment would be $200. I told him I would not pay that much for any alignment. He billed me $59.00 for attempting to perform an alignment but I left in the same shape I arrived. I WENT to NTB the next morning and $69.00 later my truck was aligned properly. I try to give neighborhood shops like this a chance and they take advantage of you. Beware I don't think I am the only one to get nothing for my $$$$. I will go by and let them know and also ask him why he did not Bill me for tax, and I am guessing b/c service was not performed.

DONT GO HERE!!!!!! To get your car service! I wasted $80.00 dollar here for Car alighment and they didn t align it properly on top of that they don t know much English so they can t properly tell you what s going on with your car I came back only 3 days later and the guy in the front is racist he didn t even want them to check my car even though I was there 3 days ago and it clearly says on the paper 90 days warranty DONT WASTE YOU MONEY here!!!

I really hate you shop and never spent money in your shop again. Because the way u fix my car. I spent more than 6000 in your shop and my car still giving me a problem.

Clueless owner & staff. Can't diagnose anything right -- OIL CHANGE LOCATION ONLY!!!!!!!! Stay away for any kind of repair or minor issues.

I had a horrible experience at Decatur Pro Auto repair on Lawrenceville Highway today. I dropped my car off yesterday and when I picked it up today, the alarm wasn't setting and they told me that TWO different doors had sensors wear out, in the 24 hours that they had it. They wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars to fix the problem. Perhaps it was a coincidence, as they claim, but I have trouble believing that two separate sensors would suddenly die together. I do not recommend them!

Firstly I never write reviews but I feel compelled to do it here

Had a diagnostic done on my MAZDA Tribute here's my take on it:

1. Tried to put a USED ABS pump for $500 plus INSANE labor costs. A BRAND NEW ABS pump for my car is $200 MAX...

2. Claimed my rotors were bad and tried to charge double the cost of new roters are PLUS $100 labor. Rotors take an hour to do at home literally plug n play... (regardless, my rotors are FINE!!)

3. Told me calipers were bad (which they are) but again tried to charge DOUBLE the cost for the part plus INSANE labor costs.

4. Took it to a REAL mechanic, and instead of the $1.3K estimate given to me by Decatur pro, I was quoted <$500 to fix my brake system (all i needed was new brake lines and calipers).

I am in my 20's and came dressed in a nice button up shirt so the mechanic tried to run with that and take advantage of me, thinking I had money in the bank... These guys are nothing more than petty scammers who charge based on what they think you can pay. AWFUL way to do business.

Not quite sure what @valerieChoe was reflecting upon, but my guess is that she has perhaps confused this repair facility with another. Easy to do... Many are in the vicinity. Almost every mechanic employed here is of Asian descent, not that it should ever matter. People are typically met with the same vibe they put out there for the world to respond to. Stressed customers are rarely kind customers (at that moment). Repairs done "in a pinch" should sometimes cost more, as you are asking someone to jump for your "emergency". I have personally been using their services (unfortunately part of driving older vehicles), for several years now. I have brought them my own variety of cars, along with those of other family members. They have saved me countless times, with little advanced notice. They have seriously wowed me with accurate diagnoses, helped me with "I need my car soon" deadlines, and frankly gone above and beyond consistently. Their professionalism is without equal outside of luxury dealerships. Prices are more than fair, especially considering it's location. Bill mans the front desk, does his job wearing many hats like a seasoned pro, and clearly enjoys doing so. I seriously doubt the ship could sail without him. The mechanics are all well certified, polite and efficient as I have ever seen. There are never cars just sitting forever out front nor back..The shop is always very organized. If you treat them well, you may even get a Holiday season acknowledgement. What other mechanic does that??? Highly recommended diamond in the rough. Customer for life.

Efficient honest and helpful and in discussing work on my vehicle were very clear and upfront.

These are fast and they very good at what they do. Fair prices and your car will be delivered as promised. Great neighborhood shop. They will work on older cars like Corvettes and the like. Very nice friendly people.

Every time I take my car there they do a great job. Every one that works there are wonderful people.

Took my car in because the AC was blowing hot. Left it overnight. I received a quote for $2100 for complete replacement of everything AC related and extremely expensive labor costs. I looked up the average total replacement cost for my car was $1300. I paid the diagnostic fee and took my car to Apollon Auto Service at 2727 Shallowford rd. They flushed my AC, reset the high pressure switch, installed new refrigerant and fixed my AC in one hour for $91. Apollon Auto Service has earned my business.

I used this business on two occasions, the first was to replace the brake shoes on my 1999 Navigator and check the air bag light that was showing on the dash. All the work was done to my satisfaction for just under $450.00
The second and LAST time was to check the ABS and Air Bag lights that was on a 99 Jeep Cherokee. He replaced the computer module for the air bag system. But could not get the light to reset and claimed to be having problems getting the computer to interface with his computer. Bottom line he could not guarantee me that the air bags would work if needed. I took the car to a dealership who found the problem to be a broken spring behind the driver air bag. Something the dealership computer found immediately and repaired the problem with a $189.00 part and $225.00 labor. 1 Decatur Pro Auto Repair charged me over $400.00 and totally mis-diagnosed the problem, offer no credit and simply stated he would do a better job next time assessing the problem.
I was ripped off by 1 Decatur Pro Auto Repair!

They take me anytime i need for an oil change or my air filters changed reasonably priced

I called to see if they deal with mufflers and the owner Said yes. He explained there was a diagnosis fee if I didnt get the work done there, which I find normal. Once I arrived, the owner and the staff was very pleasant, they were also professional and fixed the issue with my car so that I could make it safely back home which is a long distance from Tucker ga.

Fine for oil change, but tried to charge me extra for things my car did not need. Go elsewhere if your car needs work done.

These guys are crooks - use them at your own risk. They charged me for multiple repairs they never did, and refused to give me a refund when I had to eventually pay the dealership to actually do the repairs.

1 Decatur Pro has completed several repairs on my Corvette and on my Jetta. They have been prompt, quick to resolution and have always given me a fair price. These guys are fantastic and I would recommend using them for auto repair.

I took my car there they did a great job my car feel like new. I was thinking of getting a new car now I don't have to.

You want it excellant? There is a reason their nickname is Decatur Pro Not a cut rate insurance quickie But Mercedes Jaguar Ford Gt and you want it right? Not right now These guys and Camille are the best

They are very dishonest and they will take your car parts off and put old ones on. The oil has not been changed highly recommended that no one goes there
