I took my 08 Dodge Avenger here for service on Monday September 28, 2015. My check engine light and my Throttle sensor light were both on but my car was running fine. Bill who is the receptionist called and told me there was a ton of things going on with my vehicle. "The cooling System needed flushing, the thermostat housing needed to be changed, he said that I had a bad cooling temperature sensor that needed to be changed and I also needed a major tune up as. Bill gave me a total of $816.00!!! I felt like it was a lot but I also know that labor is the killer. So I gave him the ok to do the work. I asked him to place my old parts in a box and give them to me. They kept my car for 2 days. Bill called me on September 30, 2015 and said that my car was ready for pick up. In route home from work within 15 minutes of driving, I notice my car pulling, jerking and shaking really bad! I call the shop back and spoke with Bill, just like Pamela L said Bill's reply was "Oh bring it back and I'll have the guys to look at it!" My car drove worse than when I dropped it off.

The next day Thursday, October 1, 2015 I'm in route back to the shop I decided to stop by Auto Zone and let them do a diagnostic check for me. Low and behold the reading states THERE'S A 'FREAKING' MISFIRE IN CHANNEL 5 PO305 SPARK PLUG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED!!" When I arrived at the shop Bill asked for my key. I asked him if they put new parts on my car he immediately said yes. That was a lie because the Auto Zone reading stated that I needed new spark plugs! So obviously I didn't get a Major tune up huh?! Even I know that a major tune up comes with new wires and spark plugs. So Bill calls me back and says they located the problem. "There was a defect in the sparkplug when they received it!" ((I'm like so no one realize that while doing the repair work)) SMH!!

I got my car back the same day and I drove it the entire weekend and it seem to be running just fine. The check engine light didn't come on and it seem like that had resolved the issue. Low and behold I had to call Bill back Monday, October 5 around 5:30 to let him know that my car was pulling and making a slight noise as if it was reving up again. He says "Oh bring the car back in and we'll check it out" in his priest voice! Yeah Right!! Anyway! I called him back within 10 minutes of trying to make it home to let him know my check engine light came back on AGAIN. Guess what Bill had to say? Bring it back in and will figure out what the problem is! BULL CRAP!! It's all BULL CRAP!! This place is a joke!

Then next day which is October 6, 2015 I'm in route to work so I decided to stop at Auto Zone again to get the diagnoses of what's going on this time. The same guy at Auto Zone came out and said you're back again. So he proceeds to do the reading and tell me that it's now the P0430 that's reading which is the catalyst system. I'm pissed at this point! I take my car back to this God forbidden place and Bill and I are having a conversation about the issues I'm having now. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON!! DUDE!! THIS IS THE REASON I BROUGHT IT TO YOU IN THE FIRST FREAKING PLACE!! Your Ninja Turtles fixed everything except what I came in for!! WTH!!! I begin telling him about the reviews with a few people that had this EXACT same problem with this establishment. He goes in defense mode. Anyway!! I leave my car with them for the 3rd time only to get a call from Bill stating I need two catalyst convertors and that's gonna run me about $1,500.00 including parts and labor. Blah Blah Blah BULLSHIT!!

I will NEVER allow anyone from this establishment to touch my car ever again. I got my keys and I drove fast as I can away from this hole in the wall. This place is good for one thing only and that's an oil change!! 1 Decatur Pro Auto Repair is a rip-off! Oh by the way the other bad reviews have been removed as of today October 6, 2015.
