Restaurant Amarone

Easy going for a Michelin star restaurant. It feels like no one is judging you showing up in jeans. Liked the food, only downer was the risotto. Service could have been a bit more attentive, e.g. it took a long time to catch the service's attention to get the bill.

Wonderful experience at Amarone.

The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. Food was like what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant, everything was perfect and on point. The mix of French and Japanese cuisine was well-balanced. The sommelier recommended some good wines for every dish.

There seems to be some negative criticism about the staff, but I think they were good. They seem open-minded, experienced and have a relaxing attitude. When I asked any question about the food, they had an answer. They served the right wines at the right moments and were attentive throughout the night.

Would recommend this place and will definitely come back again.

It was a special offer. We had 5 courses for 80 euro per person. Definitely worth it. Troufle risotto with pouch egg was really delicious

We were back at Amarone last night, what a party. For the first time we have eaten wagyu .... pfffff ..... Britta, thank you for your explanation ...... and what a sensation. Operation and service again TOP. Until next time.

everything was yummy (not mind-blowing though) w/ super lovely presentation. it was obvious that they sourced high quality ingredient, and had solid command over a slew of techniques. ambiance & staff made the experience very relaxing yet quite sophisticated. grateful for the 2.5 (almost 3 actually) breezy hrs spent there in the midst of a global pandemic.

Delicious food, the chefs turn every dish into a piece of art.

Every time an experience! Not only the food but also the hospitality makes a visit to Amarone more than worth it. If you go a taxi is recommended in connection with the wine arrangement. A lunch or dinner without matching wines is a waste. The sommelier knows again and again to find the perfect wine for the dish. In addition, the signature dish risotto is also a must eat!

Normally I am very pleased with Amarone but very disappointed today because we could no longer go home at 14.00 while our reservation was at 13.30. By some setback we were delayed but find it very inhospitable that you would not be able to go!

Everything you can expect from a star restaurant. Nice menu card and great wines. Service is very good and not too stiff. In addition, it is a nice location on the busy Meent.

Had a very good experience at this restaurant, staff are very approachable and friendly. For people who normally do not go out for a luxurious meal or use the restaurant week voucher, this is highly recommended.

After years of not being there, yesterday ate at Amarone again. And what a party! Both the service was smooth, engaged and provided service with a capital S and the menu was very tasteful and beautifully laid out.

I think the approach is very professional. Not only does it directly addresses the customers potential feedbacks, but it also makes the experience more personalized. Kudos to that! Last night's experience at Amarone was really nice and memorable. The restaurant has an intimate and quite private environment. I also appreciated that there are 2 doors so when somebody comes in or out, it doesn't get too cold for the people seated quite close to the entrance. I liked particularly that we can see how the food was plated. It makes it a good part of the experience. I also appreciated that the staff were wearing gloves in serving the food. They were also very attentive and quite engaging.

An absolute must! Excellent food, both appetizers and dishes and delicious wine. The sweets with the coffee were also very tasty. This week was our first time, but certainly not the last. The ambiance is also very good. Only the service could be better. Take a little more time to explain the dishes and be more friendly to the guests.

Had a wonderful evening with friends at Amarone. The evening was fabastastic from start to finish! We were pampered by the ministry and spoiled with the delicious taste sensations in all courses of our menu!

We had a lovely dinner at Amarone. The service was too notch, the ambiance relaxed and yet sophisticated. The food was of high quality, although we've had slightly more interesting dishes for similar if not better pricing elsewhere.

Delicious afternoon with fine dishes and matching wines. Operation very friendly and a lot of knowledge of the products. Acoustics a little less, but a knee that lets it ruin his afternoon.

Due to the corona measures, we had a dinner from Amarone delivered to your home. We had a wonderful dinner all evening as if we were in the restaurant. The delicious dishes are prepared with care. We are already looking forward to visiting the restaurant once this condition is over.

Exceptional dining experience. Loved the new menu including Japanese cuisine! Extremely friendly staff, wonderful amarone wine and beautiful ambiance.

We have indeed experienced the same no welcome feeling food was great also we had ordered a nice bottle. It was my son's birthday but minimal attention was paid. Always had to ask for a drink. No explanation of the expensive wine. And after dinner grab your coat yourself because the staff didn't even bother to grab and say goodbye. Never again! pity food was good. But staff let customers out instead of inside what a mockery!

Good food, good wines and beautiful setting. However, the service (not everyone) is quite casual and pays little attention to explanations, wishes of the customers, passion for the profession, etc. I found the service not to fit what I am used to from star restaurants. Nice, but the service & service in this price category plays a major role.

We had lunch with a bob wine arrangement and coffee.
Special flavors and wines. Especially the "organic" Vouvray was satisfactory. But Sulphite in wine ?? Can that still be organic?
I had to get used to the prize. I also had the draw!

We were wonderfully pampered. Very tasty food and the wine was good too. Smooth operation.

Had a really great dinner tonight with take-out from Amarone. Super wine suggestion, immediately bought. A bright spot in these annoying corona times ;-).
Very much recommended. Oh yes, I must certainly mention that I was received very friendly.

In this case in a levindige street in the center of Rotterdam you have to wonder why they do not have 2 Michelin stars. Great food, super staff. Just a lot of feeling for the touch.

Good service as you might expect but I liked the wine better than the food .. and that can not be the intention.

Simply an amazing dinner paired with very nice wines. The staff is easy to connect with and very professional in what they do. The food was a fusion of French and Asian cooking, leaning a bit more to the Asian side. All dishes served beautifully. Definately visit here again soon! Highly recommend.

Big disappointment !!! While the kitchen went out of their way to prepare beautiful dishes, it was negated by the very poor service. The female sommelier and young man were friendly and could not fault this. The other 2 ladies downright bad, grumpy, arrogant, played silly, rude. No service was offered by these ladies at all and with questions or wishes we got very stupid reactions or hypocritical laughable behavior behind the bar.
I could still mention a lot of annoyances, but given some previous bad reviews, there is probably nothing involved here.
All in all not recommended !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Delicious cuisine and excellent food. Nice staff including the sommelier, who knows a lot! Unique compositions and let yourself be surprised every now and then, that's fun on your plate.

In itself not much wrong with this star restaurant, but we were not devastated by the dishes (perhaps not (completely) our taste) and the service was 'mwah'. In my opinion not a topper (rather go to Fred, Fitzgerald or Joelia) but definitely worth a visit.

We were already enthusiastic but after the acquisition it is even better than before. The dishes are refined and top! The service is fully focused to give the customer a great experience and this time it was absolutely successful. A spontaneous dessert due to our wedding anniversary made our evening at Amarone complete. Our compliments to the employees of Amarone, our evening was 100% successful! Don't forget to try the pecans, these are very addictive

Not impressed with the experience I had here. The food wasn't something to remember. The taste faded away soon after eating it. Disappointed a tad about the wine list too. It misses some spark in it.

Great food in a nice restaurant. Very friendly staff. Recommended

Service begun well. We had to be in the Doulen at 1915 and food was promised to be made on time. The time from ordering to eating was over an hour for one course... This meant we were late despite letting staff know upon arrival.

It was clear the staff we're inexperienced and when we asked whether our food was on its way the staff did not know and did not inform us when they said they would.

Great service, atmosphere and food. The combinations are amazing! Go there with enough time - at least 2 hours - to appreciate everything on the right pace.
