As we sat down, the stereo played "mooi was die tijd". Indeed it was, but the tacky background music certainly didn't help. Service was a tad too casual for our tastes (although otherwise flawless), but the food was very tasteful and well presented.

Unfortunately it has been a while since I went to the Swaen in Oisterwijk. It used to be regular, a lot for my work at the invitation of companies, etc. Yes, it was then known by the chef Cas Spijkers, who was again known for his TV cooking programs. Somewhere the TV Hype Cooking started with him.
Now there is a completely different kitchen team in the Swaen. And this new enthusiastic team is also happy to please you. Frans Knaapen leads his black brigade with verve. Young, passionate, passion and hospitable are keywords for De Swaen. The white brigade is characterized by creativity and flexibility. Together they form an experienced and well-coordinated team.
There is actually little to say about the food and drink. After getting used to the disappearance of Cas and the arrival of a new team, the well-known quality and service has completely returned. It is great to stay and eat. Of course the prices at star level.

Fantastic restaurant. Hospitable and customer friendly. Delicious menu with amuse, fresh warm bread, water and friandise with the coffee. Perfect restaurant for a great night out.

fish plate of the house was disappointing in proportion to the rest. Sugar and milk (twice) forgotten with coffee and tea.

Coincidentally sat down for lunch due to a stressful situation and a wrong booking at hotel de Leijhof in Oisterwijk. Thanks to the incredibly hospitable and friendly actions of everyone at De Swaen, we had a delicious lunch and also had a delicious dinner to celebrate the 70th birthday of my father-in-law! Really great class. The food and wines were top quality! We enjoyed it, thanks again for the good care and finding a babysitter!

Food fantastic, atmosphere super. Good advice and allergies are no problem at all, so they make a different sauce.
