Living in #Hellskitchen we like to take a walk along 9th and find random restaurants to try. Tonight we tried #esanation #thai #restaurant I d give it about a 7 on a scale of 1-10, ten being the best. The food was good a lot of flavor Atmosphere was okay, music was a good level for conversation.

Great service, LOVED the octopus salad!!! The spaghetti with meatballs was way too salty, but delicious. Wish they didn't make it so salty. On the other hand, the truffle gnocchi was pricey and nothing special about it but that it tasted like gnocchi with lots of cheese and cream. We went at about 4...

Food delivered -- It was awful. We wound up throwing out most of it. We ordered the fettucini with mushrooms, prosciutto and mozzarella, shrimp, and eggplant rollatini. I'm sorry to write this review -- it just wasn't good. The only thing edible was the shrimp. Will not order again from here.

I called and explicitly asked if they took walk ins, and was told they did, but should expect to wait 20-40 minutes.

After taking a cab over 20 minutes after calling, I arrived and told the wait would be at least 2 hours....

Seems like they should be more consistent in what they communicate...

They have special $1 oysters and $2 kumamoto. I d skip the $1 oysters and just get kumamotos bc kumamotos were so much better than the $1 ones! We got spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi w blck truffle oil and sadine. The pasta dishes were very tasty. We definitely want to go back and try different pas...

My partner and I had the most delicious meal (picked up to go). I ordered the gnocchi in tomato sauce and he had the mushroom and truffle fettuccine. We split a arugula, peppers, tomato, and feta salad. The tomato sauce was excellent, so fresh. His was very tasty, the perfect amount of truffle oil s...

I really like the design if this place. Friendly staff helping you with your selection of food and wine also added to the experience. I'm not all that familiar with Mac and cheese so I thought, if I'm gonna try it, I might as well try in in a good restaurant, known for making a killer version of thi...

Been here before and food is amazing but honestly, this time the host, when I asked how long the wait is replied to me. "Oh, its going to be a long time, you should go across the street." I then confirmed what she had told me. Ive seen longer lines there with 30 min or leas waits. Lost a repeat cust...

Cheated by management on our visit. A friend gave us a gift certificate which you can register online to redeem using your phone number. I did that prior to our visit. Once we were done, the waitress didn't know how to redeem it, so I paid for dinner and she said manager would work it out for us aft...

Small spot with really good food options. I had the maccheroni Al tartufo which was delicious and super filling. My girlfriend had the fettuccine ai funghi which was good, but I think I made the better choice! The spot is really small so expect to sit at a bar, elbow to elbow with other patrons. ...

Great experience at this small, neighborhood-style Italian-inspired eatery. Select pastas are homemade and they have a variety of different specials each day. Intimate, cozy spot that feels like an actual back alley spot in Italy. Pick a bar seat or sit at the communal table. Homemade pasta cooked to perfection - I had the spicy shrimp tomato rigatoni, wife has the penne pesto...both just absolutely excellent. Burrata appetizer was great as well, and bart...

Recommend octopus salad and shrimp risotto. One thing we are not happy with is that the staff added 20% tips to our bills WITHOUT notifying us (the service is simply okay and we had lunch there not dinner). Luckily, one of our friends reminded us not filling out gratuity as it has already been inclu...

A gem. Delicious small plates, designed to share. As of this writing, Summer 2016, their $1 Blue Point Oysters are sweet and delicious. (And a hands down bargain!).
Insider tip -- go early. I mean early. Pre-fixe lunch special for $16 includes a pasta dish and a glass of wine.
