Saw the premiere of Black Panther at the Fox. Standing room only! Fabulous film much loved by an outgoing crowd. It looked chaotic but everyone got in safely, no visible mishaps and the bathrooms stayed clean. Movie snacks--meh'--but I didn't go to eat. VIP Orchestra seating the best. The sky ceiling as beautiful as ever. Nice acoustics. Comfortable seats. Competent ushers. One of the best theatre venues in Atlanta including the Alliance mainstage. Ties with the MLK International Chapel at Morehouse and Sisters Chapel at Spelman College for best acoustics.

Beautiful venue, truly a remarkable place to enjoy theatrical entertainment and be fully immersed in a fantasy. Would have given this 5 stars, except despite the effort taken with interior design and architectural interest, the staff was largely apathetic and completely without the social etiquette appropriate for the event. We were disappointed to see several employees sitting and looking at their cell phones while vaguely instructing guests (without even looking up) as if it were an inconvenience to be pulled away from the digital world even momentarily in order to perform the job assigned to them. We were also rushed out of our seats at the end of the show, while music was still playing, then again as we stood in line for merchandise. I recieved my tickets as a Christmas gift from an individual who was excited to hear about the entire experience as they have many pleasant memories here from decades past. I regret that I had to relay that poor staffing choices made more of an impact on my memory of the overall theater experience here than did the entertainment. Having worked much of my adult life in the service industry, I lament this trend that is especially glaring in an place as iconic as this.

This establishment is one of my all time favorite places to be. It definitely is my happy place. I have been to a total of 6 Broadway Productions and they were all so different in style and The Fox theater housed them so well. Very happy to have this Majestic theater in Atlanta.

Granted, I haven't been to a lot of theatre, but this is the coolest one I have been to. It reminds me of what it might have been like to go to a show 70 years ago. I love taking my daughter there for shows as well. Worth the premium you pay for tickets for the experience.

A great venue for a concert. It's smaller so you can get a little bit more up close and personal with the artist. I went to see Anita Baker. Sound was great. Always enjoy going to the Fox Theater for music events or plays when they have them. There is usually paid parking across the street or around the corner from this venue. The parking is going to be about $20. It's a beautiful venue and if you look up to the ceiling you can see the stars.

Hamilton was a great show and the Fox theatre handled the crowds well. Beware of "parking attendants" who charge a cheaper cash price than the machine and promise to not get you booted. As you can imagine, they're fraudulent and will end up getting you booted.

Had the pleasure to be at the Annual Aqua Vino event at the Georgia Aquarium last night. There were double digit different wine tasting stations as well as one cocktail station with four Bourbon variety cocktails- all locally sourced. There were also stations from carious restaurants in the area and everything looked absolutely AMAZING. The Wolfgang Puck station (who runs the food for the Awuarium) had a Korean beef dish that was visually appealing and over the delicious.

History of The Fox Theatre

The history of The Fox Theatre dates back to 1928 when movie mogul William Fox decided to build an opulent theatre in Atlanta that would rival any other theatre in the country. He hired architect Olivier Vinour from New York City who designed an incredible building that combined elements of Egyptian and Spanish architecture.

When it opened on December 25th 1929 it was considered one of the most magnificent theatres ever built with its ornate decorations including gold leafing throughout the auditorium and lobby areas along with intricate carvings on every surface imaginable.

Over time The Fox became more than just a movie palace; it became a cultural icon for Atlanta residents who enjoyed attending live performances there as well as movies. In fact during World War II soldiers stationed nearby were given free admission so they could enjoy some entertainment while away from home.

In recent years The Fox has undergone extensive renovations which have restored much of its original grandeur while adding modern amenities such as updated sound systems and lighting equipment making it one of America's premier venues for live entertainment today.
