Calling this hotel's customer services representative was the best idea for me. I was able to get the reservations for my family. The dining area was spacious. The lounge bar serves good mixed drinks as well. I can't wait to stay here again with my family. A five-stars satisfaction rating for this hotel's genuine assistance.

The hotel staff is (mostly) wonderful. I got a beautiful room that overlooks the ocean, a cute balcony with seating and a large desk inside the room. The photos don't do it justice, and the ocean is spectacular, especially at sunset.

The hotel is not a far walk from the convention center (about 25-30 minutes), which is totally fine after all the food I ate at the gaslamp district. Initially I was worried because I saw some mixed reviews about this hotel, but I am happy to report that I'm here for my 2nd night, checking out tomorrow, and so far so good.

I heard from another person who was also staying at this hotel that their restaurant (claim jumper) is the worst. So I stayed away. But then it got late and I was hungry.. yet I was not willing to risk bad food. So, my 2nd night here I ordered dinner through Uber Eats from Narada Thai Cuisine; it was delivered, delicious and everything I could hope for.

Like any other hotel their gift shop is terribly over priced. I went there looking for Tylenol and tampons. Tylenol was about 11.99 for a tiny bottle of 10 pills. Their tampons were cardboard applicators in regular or super size and were about 6.99 for a small box. I was short on time but I was not desperate. I left without buying anything because I didn't like the products they were selling, and because the older woman who was working there had no care about anything. I got better help from the outside staff near the roundabout, he gave me a map, showed me the closest drug stores in the direction I needed to go and he was genuinely pleasant.

I would come here again. Though I would stear clear of their gift shop.

Quite a beautiful location with heart warming decor on the inside. The hotel has a direct view of the harbor and the city, so depending on what side of the building you are, you would be greeted with that end of the view. The rooms were clean and well kept. There was no refrigerator in the room, so of you have any leftover from dinner, you would probably need to get creative to store it. My only issue with the place was parking. You are practically paying 30% the cost of your roomr, for parking. The ameneities and the view of the hotel do deserve the price they charge for the room but that's where it should end. 30 dollars for parking on top of that feels like too much.

The location was perfect, the pool not that accessible for the number of people in it, looked a little crowded. Besides, the rooms were nice and very comfortable, as the housekeeping staff. We had a couple of problems trying to access the back door with the key card, but overall we enjoyed our visit in San Diego.

I'm a fire fighter and travel the country on official business regularly. Associated with my job I often need to cancel last minute. After making a reservation at the Wyndham Bayside, I had to cancel last minute due to weather. I immediately called to cancel and was made clear that this would be no problem. The next day I was still unable to travel and my agent cancelled the rest of the reservation. Three weeks later a charge arrived on my Card. Upon calling the hotel I was informed that they are no longer allowing the last minute cancellation. Although the renegotiation of cancellation was irritating, it was not near as bad as the performance of the floor manager Mr. A Clavin who eventually said he would allow a one time cancellation and hung up on me as if he were a child. Don't know if you're having a bad day Mr. Clavin, but in no stretch of customer relations should a manager act the way you did. I was not looking for a handout, just for your company to stand true to their commitment to their customers as it says you do in your phone announcements. Good luck Wyndham, if Mr. Clavin had acted professional, I would likely use you preferred in my future business travel. Because he did not, it is unlikely I will stay with you in the future.

The location is great but the hotel itself...meh. No hot tub? I am from out of town my husband and i decided to visit for a quick honeymoon get away. This hotel Parking was charged 35 dollars a night. They had a fridge in the room but no microwave and i was charged a 10 dollars fee to borrow a microwave for alittle food. Ridiculous. Im pretty sure i wont be staying here again.

Spent a weekend here with my boyfriend & it was an unforgettable experience! The view was great, we had a nice view of the bay and it was nice to sit out there and watch the sun rise and sunset. The room was clean for the most part but some table surfaces were dusty as if they had not been cleaned in weeks. Parking was $35 a night which I thought was a bit too much. Also our room door battery died so we had to wait for maintenance to change it so we could enter our room but the security guard and the 2 maintenance guys were really nice! Staff was very helpful! I loved that there are so many restaurants walking distance from the hotel and we were able to walk around and explore. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel!

Aloha! Very decent hotel by the bay. Near many attractions. Kids park next to it is amazing for the kids. 15 minute walk to the seaport village. Probably a 25 minute walk to gas lamp. Great location.

Hotel staff really needs to work on their management skills. Hotel was booked well in advance for a week (Bayside view). However when we (with my boyfriend) arrived, room was not properly checked and prepared by the staff. After entering in room we realised balcony door was partly broken so unable to lock it, which led to freezing room. On top of that aircondition/ heating system was not working. After reporting at the main reception, they said hotel is completely booked so will have to stay overnight in that freezing room! After an hour or so somehow they managed to shift us temporarily to another room (heating system was useless here too) for a night and agreed to move us to bayside view (what we had originally paid for) next morning. Though we mentioned room was cold, nothing was offered to comfort us. No assistance was provided whatsoever with the baggage during this shifting process. Throughout our stay which was for 7 days, no appreciation or compensation was offered for the inconvenience it caused us. Housekeeper did not provide body wash gel for couple of days. Overall experience at this hotel was unpleasant and definitely will not recommend either for work or leisure. Only best thing was the view!

Great stay. Amazing views of the city and the bay. Spacious balcony although chairs are a bit uncomfortable. Clean and modern room accommodations. Bed and linens were very soft and cozy. No premium movie channels though. Courteous front desk service.

Everything was great, until the day came that they did not clean us, why they forgot, terrible service. I'm still staying in room 960 I leave tomorrow December 19, I'll look for another option I will not return, what a bad experience.

It hurts because the facilities are good although they do not have parking and the employees do not speak Spanish, even though it is very comfortable and the beds are good

Pros: Absolutely beautiful view, clean and comfortable room. Great location.
Cons: room
Service is cheap but they got the order wrong, the balcony has no privacy, the multiple towers offers you a hike back to the checkout counter.

Stayed here for one night following a cruise. The room we got faced the bow of the ship we arrived on so we got to wave good bye to it when it left a few hours later. The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel very clean. The area was excellent and made us wish we had a few more days to stay.

Stayed here for Twitchcon. It's a bit of a walk to the convention center, so if you don't like to walk a lot and have an event there I'd find closer options.

As for the stay itself, we checked into our room and later that evening came back to find that the temperature was 80+ despite the thermostat saying otherwise. We did call the front desk and they fixed the AC quickly as well as our toilet which was running (where the water leaks into the bowl from the tank and runs endlessly).

The wifi rules seemed a bit extreme, that after a 3rd device a room would be charged but maybe that's standard with most hotels now.

We stayed in building 3 and it was easy to get in and out with our key cards.

We had to check in our luggage early/leave it late with the bell service who didn't seem pleased at all with Twitchcon when we arrived. Several of them sat around watching others do work while we were trying to get our bags checked in too. Perhaps that's just a hangout spot for employees, this was unclear.

Checking out Sunday however, the team was much more attentive and friendly.

As for the room, a bit dated but had all the basic amenities you'd get with a hotel room. Nothing special, but not awful either, it was clean which is more important than decor.

I was very unsure about booking here after reading the reviews from previous guests. All I can say is that our stay has been very comfortable. Check-in was seamless and we even got a room on a higher floor (bay view) upon request. We've enjoyed our stay and will return when in the bay area.

Room had smoke odor (the fault of a schmuck smoker more than them, but it needed airing out), WiFi was unusable except at 2am, sink was clogged, no bathmat. Wyndham may be on the sign, but it's not a Wyndham in my eyes. Open balconies too mean slightly less privacy, though you're free to look inside your neighbor's rooms if you like. :/

A little overpriced for what you get. Restaurant is not connected with the hotel so you are unable to bring adult drinks to the pool from the restaurant. Great location for waterfront activities.

Great views on the Bayside, not too pricey. No fridge in the room though. Balconies are very nice, and are connected which is a bit annoying if you only have the one room, but with a party is awesome!

This rating reflects the lack of convenience in the amenities offered in the room. The coffee set up is inconveniently located under the television on a small shelf that is difficult to access. There is no microwave or refrigerator which made it difficult for us who are vegans. The onsite restaurant had only a couple of salads. We did find the Hazelwoods on the Bay deli and they were willing to replace meat with eggplant and they way they prepare it made it tastes so much like meat that we had to double check that it was in fact eggplant. The King Queen Cantina sits a few blocks away and their fare and willingness to accommodate vegans is exceptional.

We got an outdated room in tower III. Not a good place at all to stay with babies, no mini fridge in any room to store milk. Ice makers broken on floor 6 and 7, had to take elevators to floor 8 just go get ice. Front desk doesn't pick up the phone when you call. Self parking is $32 a night and valet is $40. Valet guys were very nice but who charges paying guests parking? Location is the only good thing. Totally not worth the stay for the money you pay (almost $300/night).

The staff at this hotel was incredibly friendly. The room was comfortable with new, modern decor and a luxurious glass-wall bathroom. I had a room with a city view, which I actually thought was rather nice. The alternative was 'bay view' but the city view room had a great view of the city and surrounding high rises, so definately worth a look! The only issue was that the balconies are attached, which might be an issue if you are concerned about security, but wasn't an issue for me. As far as location, it was right near the bay and a short drive from the open ocean. Walking distance to downtown, shops and restaurants as well as public transit stops. Would definately stay here again!

Booked a room on the 4th floor overlooking the parking lot (not by choice). The room was nice, except it lacked a coffee pot and mini refrigerator. Self parking was $29 (a bit expensive), and checking in took at least 30 mins because apparently their systems had to be restarted. Overall, my experience was average. Checking out was a breeze.
