I'm a fire fighter and travel the country on official business regularly. Associated with my job I often need to cancel last minute. After making a reservation at the Wyndham Bayside, I had to cancel last minute due to weather. I immediately called to cancel and was made clear that this would be no problem. The next day I was still unable to travel and my agent cancelled the rest of the reservation. Three weeks later a charge arrived on my Card. Upon calling the hotel I was informed that they are no longer allowing the last minute cancellation. Although the renegotiation of cancellation was irritating, it was not near as bad as the performance of the floor manager Mr. A Clavin who eventually said he would allow a one time cancellation and hung up on me as if he were a child. Don't know if you're having a bad day Mr. Clavin, but in no stretch of customer relations should a manager act the way you did. I was not looking for a handout, just for your company to stand true to their commitment to their customers as it says you do in your phone announcements. Good luck Wyndham, if Mr. Clavin had acted professional, I would likely use you preferred in my future business travel. Because he did not, it is unlikely I will stay with you in the future.
