The rooms are old. The bathroom vent looked as if a cat had been living in there. THAT dirty. The shower wasn t in great condition. The carpets are dirty. I asked for a blanket. Simple request. I never received it. The emergency alarm went off at 4:25 am and lasted for about 30 min. We were instructed to not use the stairwell or the elevators. I tried calling guest services multiple times to see what was happening. No answer. Never got a straight answer about what the issue was. The message with the alarm is dangerous. I felt like a sitting duck. Honestly I felt we should have been compensated in some way, but I Just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

I have stayed here when it was Sheraton and had no issues. This stay my room was not ready at check-in time because they let others have a late checkout. I waited 2 hours for my room, after an exhausting day, that I booked a year ago. If you know you are sold out, people should not be given the option for a late checkout. There was trash behind the trashcan, the chair was filthy and there were no coffee cups for the in room coffee maker. No one seemed worried that we had to wait so long or that we told the we would never be back.

Really lovely rooms. Location is about 20 minute walk from all major points of interest in the city so that's awesome. Parking is about 35 bucks a day which is pretty much the only negative.

Lucky to get a last minute room for the Eagle's parade! The concierge (Mary?)was super super professional and happy to help with anything, such as driving directions and dinner reservations. The lobby was filled with families in town for the celebration, so it was a party atmosphere, and everybody was in a good mood, despite the long check-in lines. Our membership allowed us to have a very quick check-in.
Big rooms, with plenty of space for family of 4. Could use a make-over, or at least a few more ceiling lights, as you can't see in the dark closets. The price was reasonable, however, for what we needed.

The staff was extremely loud in the morning while we were trying to sleep. Also didnt appreciate the fact that room service opened my door to ask if I needed room service. I was sleeping, naked.how rude, no privacy! Other than that the room itself was very nice, front dest people were very sweet and quick with signing us in.

Great customer service! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a speaking engagement I had at the National Constitution Center. We got a top floor room with an awesome view of the city.

I have always stayed at Marriott properties and this by far was the worst.

When we arrived there were a lot of people hanging out in the front of the building smoking and being loud. The lady who checked us in was not friendly nor was she knowledgeable about places around the area to eat. She gave me my room card and did not tell me where the elevators were located, the time breakfast was served, or where the ice/microwave was located. SHE WAS IM A BAD MOOD.

We go to our room and as soon as we got off the elevator the was a man cursing and talking lout on the phone complaining about his serves at the front desk. The hallway was full of smoke( and not from cigarettes). The room had 1 towel in it, like really? All night there were people fighting, slamming doors and arguing. When I tried to call front desk no one answered (all night) this was terrible. I didn't go down because I was pretty shook up and didn't want to be in the cross fire of anything.

I hate Marriott name is attached to this place. What a disgrace to the name

If I could give it a 0 I would

Upon arrival I waiting long on line only to be told I was bumped to another hotel, blocks away, due to overbooking for the 1st of my 2 nights, and they would comp my parking only 1 day, and she couldn't help me. I asked for a supervisor who advised she would call the other hotel and arrange for me to stay there both nights and would comp parking in full upon providing receipt. She blamed the booking service for me not being advised the night before, and that they'd had internal miscommunications causing the issue. I had called the hotel and confirmed my reservation THE NIGHT BEFORE, so there was no blame to be placed anywhere else. they also did not even offer to put me in a taxi to get there. The relocation hotel also had confusion as they didn't have me down for two nights which I was able to clear up by having insisted upon staying for the 201's call to that hotel and getting the name to whom they'd spoken and was able to provide it for confirmation. Lastly, the parking garage did not give out receipts, so I didn't even try for credit for parking.
While it could have been worse, it certainly was not a pleasant experience.

It can be visually appealing but dig beneath the surface and the place is quite old. The pillows are uncomfortable and one of my phones was broken. They do have inhouse dining which is nice and the rooms are a fair size. Service is okay. It's a 3 star hotel on Google and I really cant say otherwise.

Pretty lobby but that's about it. Room smelled like cigarettes and second bed had dirty pillowcases on it. I mentioned it to clerk at desk while checking out. he was genuinely sorry but offered nothing to compensate. I emailed Marriott and never heard back from them. I called the hotel and still no call back. I have been a loyal Marriott customer for over 25 years, platinum elite status and vacation club owner. I rarely complain but was really disappointed in this stay so I decided to. I would not recommend this hotel and I will start to look at Hilton for my next stay. Completely and utterly shocked and disappointed in their lack of customer service.

Above average hotel. Good rooms and coffee downstairs. However, the air conditioner is noisy and the lounge on the 26th floor does not serve breakfast. Shower takes some time to provide hot water. Service staff is very kind, including concierge and breakfast coffee staff.

Not good for price of room, turned up and they hadn't even vacuumed the carpet, no safes in room, disappointing as you expect a little more for what you pay, they are supposedly renovating all the rooms no reason for not cleaning them though, one reason for booking this hotel was it had a swimming pool which was closed as well.

I gave this 2 stars. We went for a long weekend and did a lot of site seeing. Being hot we wanted to go back to room and shower for dinner. Room still hadn't been serviced at 7pm No clean towels. Had to call the desk. Housekeeping dropped off the towels but still didn't make the bed or tidy up. Paid a lot of money for that service. Also there is no parking and they only provide valet at $50 per night so add that to the cost of your stay. Baby next door crying sounded like it was in the same room and the drapes I had to hold closed with my hair clip.

The hotel is in a great location. It used to be a Sheraton and was renamed after the Marriott merger. The rooms and interior need an update. The room I was in had cigarette burns in the carpet and needed a thorough vacuum. With that said the rate is very reasonable for downtown. I would stay there again.

Location is about a 15 minute walk from Chinatown and the Reading Terminal Market as well as the Art Museum. The Mint, Independence Hall, and the Libery Bell are about a 30 minute walk. Service was good; everyone I've talked to has been polite and helpful. The rooms were of decent size and clean. The cleaning staff has been very good at replacing towels and even amenities like a bottle of water.

I am a Lifetime Platinum member and I waited almost three hours before my room was ready. When I checked out discovered I was charged for breakfast even though I was told I would not be. The charges were reversed but inconvenient. The front desk staff I dealt with just had an I don t care attitude . I will not recommend this hotel

Booked a room to stay with a kid, but there was no refrigirator in the room. Had to ask several times before I actually got one. Room was not too clean and had a strange smell in it. A very overpriced parking 39$ per night. More expensive then in new york, lol. You can see a not finished building from the window. Which is not too exciting... Bathroom had only one shampoo despite 3 people leaving in it... In general: avoid if you can.
The good thing: guy on reception checked us in before 3pm.

Dingy old carpet, missing plug covers and other finishing touches. Unvacuumed floors and more. This place has Omni hotel prices with Motel 6 accommodations. I expected significantly higher standards from a Marriott property. Thanks for the great impression Philly.

I did not pay full price for this hotel-- I would be seriously disappointed if I had. The room was lovely-- pretty standard hotel room, clean, spacious, etc. Noise from the hallway was a hair loud, but we were out late so it wasn't an issue until mid-morning. The location was fine for our purposes. We stayed past 11am on our checkout day and they didn't try to boot us or charge us for a late checkout.

The problem is that is was a pretty basic hotel room in a perfectly fine hotel that cost a fortune for no apparent reason. Parking, which is at a premium in Philadelphia, was astronomically expensive given what full price for a room was. There wasn't so much as a bagel for breakfast included in the price-- what would be included as a continental breakfast at any cheap hotel was a $15 buffet here, and for $18 you could add eggs to the offering. No, thank you, I will take my $18 elsewhere, get a real hot breakfast made to order, and still have money left to park elsewhere in the city.

On top of that, the staff was so super friendly that the end result was a total lack of efficiency. They were so busy chit chatting with the people they were checking in that it took me 20 minutes to get to my room despite trying to politely make it clear I was in a rush because I had places to be. Friendly is nice and all, but I need to get to my room and get settled so I can get my visit started.

I'd consider staying again for the price I paid (which was about half the listed price), but it wouldn't be my first instinct.

The hotel was clean. Staff was friendly but all use the main elevators, which take a long time since it's such a tall building. The room was adequate but very small. There is a Starbucks downstairs.

Been staying here since the 80's. It needs an overhaul. Gross dirty stained carpets, 1970 style curtains. Staff attitude varies. They seemed stressed out. Not quiet... Hear everything in next room and hallway. Would not stay here again.

We really loved this Hotel. It is beautiful, modern, organized. The room was wonderful. It had a lovely view. It was fantastic! The staff was helpful, kind and so generous. We went there for my husband's birthday. They gave him a special gift.

Nice

Nice.

This hotel is dated, to say the least.

This hotel is dated, to say the least.
It is visible from traffic and accessible for the handicapped. I also found the employees friendly and helpful. There was a closet and drawers for our clothes and my suitcases fit in the closet, which is a plus these days. There's the two stars.
Some of the towels we were given, were tattered and ragged. The rug was also ragged with enough threads loose that could be a tripping hazard. The rug was stained and the corners contained items that we didn't drop, so how good could they be cleaning the rooms.
The worst was the room itself. I asked for a deluxe room. What I got was a room so small that I had to walk around the bed crablike. If you doubt me, there are photos included. Just to walk around the rest of the room, I had to shove the bench under the desk. The pillows were down that went completely flat immediately. When I asked for synthetic pillows, I was told they were in my room, they were never delivered.
The breakfast buffet consists of poorly scrambled eggs, cold sausages, bacon, cold breakfast potatoes, cold French toast or pancakes, toast, cereal, fruit and weak coffee. For this you are charged $21.95 and tax, definitely Not worth it.
At nights, the only food location in the hotel is the pub called Local. The food is so-so, the beer and wine over priced and the wait for food too long. A salad and a philly steak shouldn't take 50 minutes. The gin and tonic I ordered was a small rocks glass filled with ice and about 4 sips of drink for $10. The drink was so diluted, I couldn't taste gin or tonic! Order pizza or Chinese food to be delivered, instead. It's cheaper and has more taste.
This hotel is supposed to be part of the Marriott/Sheraton group? This is the WORST hotel in Philadelphia!!

Was told I would be able to check in before 3pm and I would recieve a call. No call was recieved and after going to lunch we went back to the hotel room at 3:00, our room was still not ready and they had no idea when it would be. So we left and came back at 445, our room was now ready but as requested we were not all on the same floor and were told it wasn't possible. Worst experience at a hotel.

It's a nice hotel, that advertised a pool we got there to find out that the pool was being filled in because they couldn't keep it clean. Other than that it was a nice hotel in a convenient location walking distance from shopping & the Ben Franklin Parkway

I wish there had been a mini fridge in the room. We randomly had a wheelchair accessible room, and the sink had no counter to set anything, which was challenging. Reasonably clean and enough space.

Great service. Nice room. Shower wasn't great. Location was good. Near all of the events we wanted to make it to. Theater for a concert. Comedy club for a show. Several nice bars and eateries too.

The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very helpful and accommodating. The location is actually great also, our room had a pretty good view, but I think you'd have to stay over the fifteenth floor or so to experience that. The restaurant was kind of pricey and there was no Continental breakfast on the weekends, which was a downside.

What an amazing hotel! Great service! Clean and spacious rooms. Within walking distance of the heart of the city. Comfortable beds. Only thing missing was a fridge but other than, well worth it!

Its bad... real bad. Its dreary the metal surfaces have rust, there is no longer a pool (I assume it was closed because they're incapable of maintaining anything here). The room doors are scratched and creaky and in the Gym they have a box of what I assume are supposed to be moist towels... they are in fact just Wet Moldy towels. The staff, however, is polite and friendly.

Rooms are too old and sad, also room smell like old carpet (depressing mustard color of walls and floors) for that price. Stuff is absolutely not helpful and quite rude at times. Really unpleasant stay.
