Old tired and in need of renovation. Staff pleasant but rooms crummy at best. Surprising for SPG.

Wonderful place and services are the top in city of brotherly in love. Overall great place and beautiful location.
good size, comfortable rooms, generally friendly service. stay in the club floor rooms for good free breakfast and snacks and great views.
Visited the Sheraton for a luncheon during college orientation. The facility was very nice and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, food was good.
The hotel was superb with having all the necessary facilities. The location was nice and the atmosphere was cool enough. The food they serve was yummy and of good quality. The price they charged was OK for such quick services and quality food
This is 1 of the best hotels I've stayed in, Me and my son stayed there for 2 weeks straight, the rooms are nice and spacious and clean, all of the staff there is beyond friendly, and miss Mary Mastrobuoni always goes above and beyond when I check in she is always asking me if I need anything and she also always ask my son David if he needs anything her smile just lights up the whole room. Also Miss Susan is always going above and beyond every single time I check in I just was telling her yesterday as I was checking out that she seems very nice and she also makes alot of conversation with my son, and that's kinda cool because my son is bashful so he doesn't talk too anybody but he will hold a conversation with her. And also on Tuesday night I went too the front desk around about 2:00 am and asked for a bible, the night shift worker named Marlon brought me up a bible too my room he asked me was everything okay I told him yes I'm just going through alot, and he gave me some warm words of encouragement and told me he was gonna keep me in his prayers. This hotel has the best staff ever, please keep up the great work guys
Very nice place. Very upscale and modern. Parking is expensive however and limited.
I was there for an event and everything was handled perfectly and with a great deal of professionalism.
Due to flight delays, I checked in at 3 a.m. The side doors that are supposed to require keycard access were unlocked. These doors were never locked during my stay.
The hallway floors were absolutely filthy including crumbs, dirt, and massive stains (pictures attached). I doubt they had been vacuumed in over a month. They were certainly not vacuumed during my stay from Thursday Monday. I am amazed that they do not have a cockroach problem -- it can only be a matter of time.
The first thing I see upon entering my room is a giant melted patch in the carpet in the shape of a clothing iron. The rug also had a giant run in it (pictures attached). Walls had giant mystery stains on them (pictures attached). The armchair in the room was unbelievably filthy and almost gag-inducing. Very dirty with stains all over (pictures attached). Okay, I can overlook these things in an old building if the linens are clean.
Arriving at 3 a.m. I was very ready to go to bed. I uncover the sheets and find mysterious yellow stains, so I try the other bed in the room. I uncover the sheets to find that the fitted (bottom) sheet has either come undone or was never properly applied. This instilled such little confidence in the cleanliness of the linens that I went back to the bed with yellow stains and made sure to wear long pajamas to act as a barrier. The linens felt plastic-y, only slightly better than a painting tarp. They also appeared to be too large for the bed (pictures attached). Perhaps they purchased queen-sized fitted sheets for a double-sized bed? This made the sheets bunch up under me in my sleep which was uncomfortable. I would have switched rooms, but it was 3 a.m. and I had already unpacked.
The next morning, I wake up at 6:30 a.m. to take a shower. The hot water was ice cold. Not lukewarm. Ice cold. The outside temperature was less than 10 degrees Fahrenheit and taking an ice-cold shower was not acceptable. I went to complain to the front desk, but when I went out into the hall I saw someone else complaining to the maintenance man about it. I took my ice-cold shower because I had an interview in two hours. The next morning, I tried again at 7 a.m. and it was still ice cold. The third morning I tried again and got some semblance of lukewarm water.
I ate dinner twice in the restaurant in the lobby. They lost my order both times. To the waitstaff s credit, they did comp me a beer on the second night. The issue seemed to be that their electronic system was not accurately sending orders back to the kitchen.
On the third day of my stay, at least 3/6 elevators were broken and caused long waits at the elevators.
After all the bad, I will say that the bathroom seemed recently renovated, and the room had a reasonably nice television (although several channels were static-y).
I chose Sheraton due to previous enjoyable stays at other Sheratons. I will never stay at Sheraton again.
The front desk people were courteous and helpful. The rooms were a great use of small space.
The lobby is amazing! However the rooms not so much. Carpet is old and is like walking on waves, curtains are the same print used for my elementary school uniform and at 9 am had house cleaning banging on the door.
Attended a graduation event in the Liberty Ballroom. Event was catered with snacks and the food was very good. Location is clean and well kept.
beautiful high rise facility in center of the city. nice conference center for the Philly Ad Club annual upfront presentations.
Always a pleasure staying at this hotel. Spacious rooms, very clean and friendly staff. Located in a great area central to everything
centrally located hotel near the main train stain and a bunch off tourist stuff. there for work
Friendly staff, even willing to help interlopers who simply are visiting in order to use the restrooms
I was very disappointed when I stayed at the Philadelphia 201 hotel. At arrival you find out that parking is $50 per day valet but you can for in and out or you can park across the street for $22 but you can t go in an out. We decided to pass and park at a local friends out and Uber since we were only staying 1 night. Once I got checked in and I get to the room I was in shock at how old the room looked. The carpet was old and did not lay down on the floor and there were stains everywhere as well as dust under the air conditioner. The bathroom looked ok but the tub was black mold around the creases. The staff said that they were in the middle of renovations but one would think that you would maybe charge less if you know your hotel is not up to standard for it to be a Marriott brand hotel and typically cost around $216 a night. The door on my room locked us out when I left because the doors are janky and it got caught on the security handle. So we had to have engineering to break into our room and break the door so we would get to our belongings and get a new room. Overall I was extremely underwhelmed.
Nice hotel, courteous and prompt staff. Close to lots of restaurants and sites to see. Was in town for a conference. Conference rooms were spacious and staff was on hand throughout to answer questions. My room had a very nice view of town.
The rooms are kind of run down, as is the conference center (I was here for a conference). The rooms were hot and cold, were kinda ugly. The restaurant was very slow. Location is great, though. Prices are pretty reasonable.
I've been staying at this hotel for years, ever since it was the Sheraton Downtown Philadelphia. A little over 2 years ago I got married at a venue in Philadelphia and we selected the hotel as our host hotel for our out of town wedding guests . My husband and I loved the hotel and the service and have been staying here every time we visit Philadelphia (multiple times a year). Mary the Concierge is AMAZING!!!!! Anything you need she is there to help. I needed my veil steamed the day before my wedding and she made it happen, without any question or hesitation (and it was perfect). Erin W. was our main POC during the wedding room reservation process, and she too was AMAZING. Erin is very responsive, knowledgeable and the options this hotel provides far exceeded any others in the area (at a GREAT price). Our guests booked A LOT of rooms, and Erin was able to lock down the presidential suite for me and a really nice smaller suite for my husband. Honestly, everyone at the Sheraton was better than the staff at the very luxe venue we selected for our wedding. Everyone from the valets, to the room service staff to the people in the restaurant and working the front desk are a fantastic. I host A LOT Of events and travel a good amount, and though I know this, I am always shocked at how hospitable everyone is when we stay here. I highly recommend this hotel and will continue to stay at the Philadelphia 201 Hotel every time I am in Philadelphia. Looking forward to seeing the renovations!
There were layers of dust. Bottle caps under the bed. Stains on the curtains that did not match. The lobby was nice, but does not reflect the same quality in the rooms.
Tired hotel that could do with a refurb. Breakfast was terrible.
The hotel is in a good location and the atmosphere is excellent. The hotel provided me a good service and their employees were gentle too.
The room was really comfortable, clean and with an amazing city view; the bed was so clean and comfortable too.
Confusing and not real clean, the pool was filled with hair and smelled like dog.
Staff is not very helpful. Asked her to change the name on reservation for work reasons, said it would take her 45 mins. How? Plus she was extremely argumentative at 7 am.
Nice hotel, enjoyed the lobby and the room was great for being smack down in the city.
Exactly what you would expect from a Sheraton, though the music from the wedding downstairs was audible on the third floor. Pool floor is crumbling. Very helpful staff though.
Loved it when it was the Sheraton, and I still love it now!
Clean bedrooms BUT
No free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms
No breakfast
No minibar
No free parking for the guests
People smoked in the non-smoking area
They made lots of noise and we couldn't sleep till the morning....
Good location but other than that I was not overly impressed. Breakfast was 20 dollars a person and parking was 20 or 30 dollars. Standard hotel. Not worth more than 120 a night in my opinion.
Best location in town. Whether it's the downtown location you want to go to or maybe just visit the outskirts too. The airport isn't too far and the rooms are very accommodating.
The lobby was too cold, reception was friendly, lobby bar-restaurant was fair
The restored floors are nice and comfortable as other Marriott hotels are.
Staff is very friendly, but the rooms are more run down and not what I'm used to from a Sheraton
Older hotel definitely need a Reno. WiFi is really bad.
Beautiful decor lovely atmosphere and decent sized rooms 10/10 would go again
Didn't really unpack..laid across the bed and fell asleep (unplanned) slept for 4 hrs...enough said right there... Comfortable King Size Bed. Beautiful View. Beautiful Room. Will Stay Again..
Didn't stay there. Was there for th bridal expo. Nice scenery.
From the start, I waited 45 min in a long line to check in, only to wait another 40 because a room was not ready yet. Then the valet guy totally ignored me when I needed my car. After a long day around the city, I went to my room to lie down to find the box spring was broke in half, laying on the floor. Lastly, went to breakfast at the hotel's over priced buffet where the woman had the nerve to question the age of my children, followed by another employee telling me " liar, liar pants on fire". Never will I or any family ever return to this very unprofessional hotel
Excellent location to walk around downtown. Does feel a bit cramped though, could be owing to the limited space in big cities. Restaurant and bar is average at best. Convenience is enhanced with car rental being in the lobby.
Had a room on 16th floor. Really comfortable king bed, nice view of the city. The bath/shower is old with a little mold visible. The rest of the bathroom is clean. Dust on the furniture.
Heating/ac was heavy and thick, which made it hard to breathe. Sheets were very starchy. Walls are very thin. Customee service was excellent
Garbage still in the bin. Stains on towels. Better off at the DoubleTree for a few extra dollars
Very nice hotel, great location close to everything. The service was very good. All the employees were helpful and all smiling. We got one of older rooms which fine, very clean and orderly. We will be back next year
Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms. We really enjoyed our stay. Only negative parking garage fee
Took them over a month to get my itemized bill corrected so I could submit it for reimbursement. Marriott hotels usually do a very good job at this and address billing issues quickly, but my understanding is that they only recently purchased this property so it isn't fully integrated into the Marriott systems
Great location, popular banquet events spot, very close to major highways and museums, friendly staff.
Gave us the room wrong at first. The 2nd room bedding smelled like urine! Breakfast was good, staff in Terrace were friendly and helpful especially Kayla, busboys, and severing staff at buffet. Rating after only a nights stay one more night to stay
Pretty good hotel. Was disappointed in the lack of plugs, as well as with the difficulty in turning on the nightstand light (had to call the front desk)
We picked up our Avid rental car here. The hotel is under lots of construction and is pretty dated. The staff was friendly but I'd be hesitant to stay here
Rooms seem a bit dated, but the service is great! I hear that many of the rooms are being redone, so your experience may be even better.
Went here for a professional event, very nice facility.
Room was not very clean and there were several things broken like the closet door and TV console. Bed was not very comfortable. My stay didn t leave me a good impression of the brand. Would probably avoid staying at a Sheraton hotel in the near future.
Just from my breif walk through and web reveiw this hotel gets my total thumbs up and I,ve been in some of your nicer hotels.
I've been three hotels in the past three days. This room was my least favorite. I did get upgraded to a suite, but the hotel room is old and in need of renovation. I didn't find the bed comfortable.
Great location. Parking is way too expensive, $40 a night. Also late check out was only 1:30pm.
Pretty standard hotel. Parking garage is retarded expensive.
No fitted sheet on the bed, so we fought all night with the flat sheet to keep it in place & the bed was hard not firm!! Worst nights of sleep ever!!
Great breakfast, but the beds are uncomfortable and the rug in the room is not well maintained(lifting off the floor in spots)
Really looks dated on the floors. The parking garage was a nightmare. No where to park and fighting to get out because people park anywhere. The ice bucket was sticky with hairs. The one bed had a flat sheet not a fitted one on the bed with a dirty looking cotton pad underneath. The ice machine in the hallway had black goo inside the grate. You have to pay for parking and internet. Bathroom was so dark you couldn't see once you had the curtain closed. Floors were dirty. Get floors 21 and up for a good view. For a very expensive place they could really use some updates. The door on 17th Street wouldn't take our room key to get in. Nor the 6 other people standing out there in the snow. We told the conceige and they were pretty much like oh well it works sometimes. The "waiter" at breakfast was the best thing, well the view too. He was so funny. Great for a wake up. I wish I remembered his name. The front desk staff was very cold. No hello, have a nice day nothing, we checked out she said keep your key to get out and we charge your card. Then stood there. Well are we done ????
In general, no different from any other 4 star hotel. However, this time the experience was sub par. Firstly, they unilaterally canceled my booking when I didn't check in by midnight of the first night (delayed at work). When I tried checking in at 6,i was unceremoniously informed that my booking was forfeited. I had to speak to the hotwire staff who coordinated with hotel staff to reverse this crazy position. Next, upon approaching the desk, I was informed that check in time was 3pm, so they couldn't check me in. I explained to them that my booking was from the previous day itself. They then explained that I could do a pre check in, but would have to wait till a room became available. What!? Then why did you tell the hotwire chap that I could check in? Sorry, but there are no rooms available. At this point I lost my cool. Hadn't slept the whole night, and now this. I explained that I just needed a place to crash for a few hours, then I had to go back to work anyway. Maybe the front desk person took pity on me, or maybe a butterfly fluttered its wings somewhere, but either way, miraculously, a room now became available. Relieved, I thought my ordeal was at an end. Two hours later, I awoke from my exhausted slumber, shivering. The heating unit was spewing cold air on snow day. The technician came, fiddled around with it and it started working again. But alas! Warmth was once again short-lived. I gave up, and it wasn't until the evening that I once again requested a technician. This person took one look and said that he would have to shift me to another room as the heating unit would have to be replaced. Switching was of course a separate ordeal, but at least I could sleep again. In summary, a series of unfortunate events plagued my stay at this hotel this time. And this is when I'm not mentioning the breakfast buffet where I'm told 3 minutes before closing time that they're already closed. I am a polite, well dressed guest who gets great hospitality at hotels across the tri-state area. This was a bad experience and I don't know if I'll give them a second chance any time soon.
