This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had...

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. It started with some obnoxious issues, like the room forgot to supply shampoo, had what looked like melted purple jolly ranchers on the carpet, and had a sink that did not drain, and it just went downhill from there. At 2am, an emergency siren went off telling us to stay in our rooms, and to not enter the hallway, stairwells, or elevators. This was pretty scary, but I understand that the siren is not the hotel's fault. What IS the hotel's fault is not supplying any information after the alarm went off; it just turned off, leaving us scared about what to do next. My husband and I waited for some time to hear something telling us that things were ok, and when we did not, he ended up calling the front desk to inquire about our safety. About 15 minutes after the call, the intercom came on again to say the hotel had been secured by Philadelphia police, it was now ok to enter the hallway, and that anyone who was told to evacuate could return. That's a long time to leave people wondering about their safety. What's more, they then forgot to turn the intercom off, and for at least 1.5 hours there was random digital noise/varied static filling the room. On top of all that, housekeeping tried to barge in at 8:30, which we have never had happen when we stay at a hotel for 1 night. Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not mention the terrifying parking garage, which was ACTUALLY FALLING APART in some areas; it was a dangerous under-construction zone. I will never return to this Sheraton or use any other Sheraton hotels again.

This is my normal hotel for business travel into Philadelphia. It's very comfortable, a good bar downstairs, and the hotel is undergoing renovations to make it a little bit nicer. Excellent for Road Warriors

Customer service had an attitude and was too slow at the reception when check in. Shower was cold. What unpleasant experience...! It got worst in the last night when the fire alarm went off at 2:00am... avoid this place at all cost.

Needs renovated desperately. Stayed 2 nights and rooms are dated. The underground parking garage looks like it's going to fall in with big chunks missing from the ceilings & the spots are small & not visible plus it's very expensive at $25 a night. For the price of the room your better off staying at a motel for this quality at half the cost

I requested no feathers in advance and still got feathers. So now I have spent the trip blowing my nose and coughing. The manager Aaron couldn't have run away fast enough. No apology, points, offer to get Benadryl, room upgrade, free breakfast, or even a call to check on me since I've been here now day 3. Bonvoy is a joke! No warm greeting, explanation of services offered, or where things are located. I haven't stayed at the Marriott beans in years and won't stay again. I'm going back to staying at Hilton hotels exclusively where I'm valued, respected, and guaranteed a certain level of quality. Rooms here are dirty and run down.

This hotel is amazing mind you the area surrounding it could use work but that is at no fault of this hotel. The security keeps the riffraff out and the view is amazing the higher in the hotel you go. If I could give advice to any potential guests here it would be to mind where you park as most of the parking around the hotel is pay as you go with hidden handicap parking.

Booked a week in advance. Having a late flight, I called ahead to inform the front desk I'd check in late. No beds were available when I arrived. Instead I was given a pullout bed with no pillows. After calling the front desk and having to wait for a pillow, I found that the pullout was in such poor condition, that sleeping on it was impossible. Had to call the front desk again and request a cot be sent up instead. Absolutely absurd. Based on other reviews, his hotel constantly overbooks. It's robbery. They'll accept payment without any guarantee you'll even get a real bed.

The hotel is within convenient walking distance of the convention center, which was its primary selling point when I made my reservation. However, that is all it really has to recommend it over other options. My room was clean, but did not include a minifridge, and had limited seating. Most annoyingly, given the price point, it did not include WiFi service - which I could have purchased for $19.95 a day. I declined to do so.

Stayed here with no luggage on our way to Dublin courtesy of American Airlines. Hotel gave us combs, toothbrushes and paste. Extra water. Very accommodating. Room clean. I'd stay here again.

Hotel restaurant was overpriced and the rooms were nice, but did not have amenities that most large chains have like a refrigerator and/or microwave. I did like that internet was free and the location is great. View from 24th floor.

Very elegant front lobby with starbucks in the lobby. Breakfast is very decent quality with some variety. Rooms are old, bed is not comfortable with old mattress and soggy. More importantly, I felt very tired and sleepy in the morning both the days that i stayed as I guess there is no vent out for the inside air to go out to let the CO2 to go out. It is not a Marriott quality at all from the room comfort perspective.

Not recommended. Overcrowded hotel full of tourist. Reception is awful. Gave me a room that was under rebuild with painters inside. Not capable to apologize. The new room had floor carpet with bumps. As business travel I used to have full internet access, but not the case here without buying premium access. Could get a power adaptor. Only good was people at breakfast.

This is a place for a nice stay to visit the nearby tourist spots. Very convenient to get around the city by walks. The room doesn't feel modern, an old tv, no refrigerators in the room. No free WiFi. Just a Sheraton from the outside and in the lobby. Not the experience you would expect at your stay.

Hotel is about four blocks away from the business district on Market Street, and about 7 blocks away from the village-like opulence of Rittenhouse Square. The size of its ballrooms seems to attract conferences, one of which brought us here.

Check-in staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Rooms are generous in size, somewhat dated, clean. Surprisingly, they lack both a microwave and a small refrigerator for in-room entertaining.

Staying here was a generally pleasant experience, with the exception of daily housekeeping. Over two days, our room was not attended until late in the afternoon.

Hotel rampage and later people in the hallways were fun and knocked on the room doors loud and called emergency. Room was adequate in relation to what you know from America.

Pros: Me, sister and niece were only in Philadelphia for one night. I will say that because of the night manager/head of security my stay was good. He was very accommodating when I spoke to him about my concerns. I appreciate his prompt response and room change. Unfortunately I don t remember his name, sorry, but he should be acknowledged for his great customer service. Reasonably priced parking garage across the street. Cons: The expensive valet parking fee to park in the hotel and extremely long wait line to check in.
