Reasonably clean. Dated bathroom fixtures with some differed maintenance, but functional. Biggest issue is waiting for elevators which are always packed at peak time. Took 25 minutes to get an elevator from the 7th floor to the lobby and back...
Nice hotel that used to be a Sheraton until a year ago. You can get great deals on Priceline. I had a friend who lived here in a suite for a couple months while it was a Sheraton so I went frequently. It has a nice but small pool. The employees were and are friendly. I hope they keep the place well maintained.
Very clean and friendly staff stay was great and the beds were Comphy
Philadelphia 201 Hotel is the place to go in Center City. Their staff is beyond friendly and respectful. Their rooms is wonderful clean and their beds are so comfortable. I love everything about this hotel and pretty sure I will come back in the next week or two (( also have a wonderful indoor pool )) DO NOT let the bad comments on here ruin your experience. This hotel is one of the best. Thank you so much Philadelphia 201.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It has a nice big lobby and seems great for conferences. The rates were very fair and it is conveniently located close to several attractions.
The rooms were clean and service was top notch. The location was in the heart of the city and had many great bars and restaurants in close proximity.
Beautiful hotel, very quiet. Beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure and temperature. They forgot to put shampoo in my room, otherwise all was good.
I was there to pick upna rental car. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made a positive impression.
At Check-in I was informed that this Sheraton is the 2nd Largest Hotel in the City. The Hotel is very Spacious; with 'Full-Service' Amenities.
The Front Desk upgraded my room; and the staff was pleasant and professional at all times.
I recommend this Hotel for Business Travelers and Families.
Outdated, old smell. Clean enough for a few nights stay.
Service was great! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Location was great; right next to the museum and the room was very nice. Only issue was they had forgotten to clean out the shower itself (there were two used soap bars still there) but upon inspection of the rest of the room it just seemed like an oversight. Overall I'd stay again in a heartbeat!
Nice rooms and a pretty good hotel. Has a fantastic view overlooking Logan square if you get the right room.
The room itself was good, but the veiw was even better.
If I could give zero stars I would. I cancelled my reservation due to bad weather conditions and my event getting cancelled and still got charged. No one could find record of my cancellation and it took literally 7 business days for me to get in touch with a manager. Manager was not understanding at all of my frustration or situation and literally said "Do you want me to help you with this?" HOW RUDE IS THAT! I mean I am shocked at the lack of customer care this huge company has.
This hotel was bullcrap. Around 11 pm during our stay an emergency alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate. We were stuck outside for about 3 hours. The next morning we woke up to no power and we could not turn on the air. Then, the elevators were not working so we had to walk down 18 flights of stairs with a stroller and a baby.
I was really nervous about my stay here due to all the bad reviews I read. Went to philly last weekend for a small weekend getaway and needed a place close to the city center.
First, location is awesome. Everything is walking distance. Although, we did more walking than intended lol everything was nearby so we left our car at the hotel which is a plus. The past reviews had a lot of bad comments about the cleanliness and outdated look of the hotel. The room we had was way up high at the 24th floor but it was definitely clean and well put together. Very comfortable and quiet. We were very happy with our stay. Most importantly, the employees and staff members were very pleasant and took care of us well. Lobby is also very pretty. Pricey for sure but worth it considering the location and weekend we booked. Overall, a good experience.
The location is definely great since most of the time I'm visiting Philly, I'm coming in by train. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms could use a face-lift as their current look doesn't justify the price.
Check in time is 3pm, sitting in the lobby at 4pm because the room was not ready.
I stayed here last year for made in America. Had a wonderful stay. This time is was horrific. Last year the room was perfect. Comfortable pillows, great lighting, controllers actually worked, we already had a refrigerator in our room. This year was the opposite. Very disappointed. Not worth the expensive 800 bucks for 3 nights when I could find cheaper and better. Don't waste your money here
Very affordable and good service. Rooms are a bit older and the neighborhood isn't great. WiFi is not included in the base price.
Could not recommend this hotel at all. We arrived with a pre-paid voucher for a room for 2 nights. The extremely rude, unhelpful Receptionist named Somephone, told us that they did not have a reservation on their system for us and that WE would have to sort it out ourselves with the company we had booked through!! The incompetent Receptionist Named Somephone, asked us to get the company to email her the details of our booking. When they emailed the details through, she give us our keys. We got to the room and while we unpacked wanted a coffee, however there was only one cup, no sugar, creamer or stirrers so we phoned guest services to ask for these. We had finished unpacking by the time these arrived and we were on our way out. Also we asked if the carpet could be vacuumed as it was covered in bits and obviously not clean. However in the time we stayed there, this was never done. We requested a safe as they didn t have one in our room and had to unfortunately ask the Receptionist, named Somephone, who was very arrogant again when dealing with our request. These details spoiled our visit to this hotel and therefore we would never stay her again.
Pretty run-down for a Sheraton, and not in the best location for being "Downtown" Philadelphia. As a loyal SPG member, I much prefer the other hotels in the city
Shady hotel. Two times in a row I was told that they don't have a room for me, despite having a reservation, called to let them know I'm going to arrive late and being an SPG Gold member.
Two things... couldn't get the shower hot, warm at best, and the wings are horrible. Otherwise, typical Sheraton, a bit old and ruin down, but clean.
The rooms were nice. Breakfast was expensive but it was relatively close to Everything in downtown Philly. Nice pool and gym. All the clerk's and workers were very helpful
Fantastic hotel. Great customer service. Definitely recommend this place!
I'll start with the good, the staff were very accommodating and helpful with the complaints I did have. The location was great, walking to restaurants was very easy, and parking was expensive but hassle free. My complaints were many, my wife and myself were placed on the 7th floor, and coming out of the elevator the whole floor smelled of marijuana so bad that it carried into our room, the room was shabby, the carpet was coming off the floor in the middle of the room, and the oder was terrible of marijuana. The staff were able to move me to a different floor, the second day I was there the new floor smelled the same way, my room smelled like house keeping was in my room smoking pot while I was out (I know they were not but it was that strong). This time the staff did nothing to accommodate me. Fine I was checking out next morning. I stayed here because they were pet friendly but unfortunately for the amount of money I spent for a 2 night stay I would not stay here again.
The hotel is very nice, clean, and modern. The room and bathroom look great and the bed was very comfortable. The staff members are friendly. It's in a wonderful location near food, City Hall, and the Parkway. My suggestion would be to add a mini fridge in the room.
Convenient location but fairly terrible hotel. Dingy, room issues, fire alarms, food at the bar may kill you
Very nice hotel. However, more flexible parking lot across the street is very tricky to get into. Location is a tad far from a lot of attractions.
Rooms are large, but very dated and not cleaned well: stained curtains, large wrinkles in the wall to wall carpeting, chipped paint, stains on the ceiling. I stayed more than a half dozen times, but I decided to stop racking up SPG points and take my business elsewhere after finding blood on the ceiling. The hotel is run down and dirty, and not really up to Sheraton quality standards.
The hotel is definitely aging. Carpet was raised and torn in places, hair in the shower, water wasn't very hot. I dropped my phone behind the bed and when I went to retrieve it I saw the back of the headboards looked like they hadn't been dusted in literal years which was disgusting.
Hotel staff was very friendly though.
Awesome time at this hotel. Great location and very close to the parkway which was since because I was there to run a race. The breakfast buffet is very good and the staff is incredibly friendly. I will definitely stay here again if I run another half marathon.
The location is fantastic...Walkable to museums, shopping, theater, and historic sites. Traffic downtown was better than expected, and parking in the hotel garage was a breeze. The room was ok. It was clean, smelled fine, and functioned as expected but it wasn't great. I gave this hotel 5 stars because the bed is comfortable, the room service was great, and the staff was very friendly snd helpful. I travel frequently for work and recommend this hotel for both comfort and convenience. As a bonus, the gym was among the best I've seen at a standard hotel. I did not use the pool, but it seemed nice enough. Overall, I will stay here again.
I just got to this hotel. And I think for the amount of money you are spending you could for sure find a warmer and friendly place. For me, glitzy lobby doent make up for unfriendly treatment.
Lobby is gorgeous.
The rooms are horrible.
For a -Sheraton -, the shower was covered in rust, ceiling falling apart, hallway floor was always covered in dirt, no fridges in the room... And who charges for WiFi? First hotel in a decade I've seen charge for wifi, ridiculous.
We spent the extra for the "club" upgrade, only to arrive and be told that those rooms weren't available. So we were moved down.
Walls, windows, and doors are paper thin, so between other guests and traffic, good luck sleeping.
Location is convenient, which must be the only thing keeping this place in business. Lousy stay.
Been here 2x. First time was ok. Nothing special or bad. 2nd time was horrible. They were at capacity and obviously didn't know how to handle it. Room itself was ok.
Update: Attempted to talk to management in the hotel as well as customer support later. Neither were receptive to hearing what went wrong or communicating after (CS just takes calls and says someone will get back to you. I was told I would hear from them within 5 working days, i had to call back and they told me my issue had just been closed. No notifications or actions or anyone speaking with me.)
We never stay anywhere else when in Philly. Great location.
No fridge in the room. No wifi included in the price.
The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown hotel was a great experience the food was good the bad it was clean my room smells nice and the staff was very friendly I would definitely recommend this hotel too many of my colleagues me and my wife had a great time at this conference
They are in the midst or renovation, but room quality was average. Hallway carpets were stained. The conference areas are nice. The bar is on the small side but has a lot of tvs and decent food options as well as beverages. You didn't get a copy of your receipt unless you went to desk to check out and it was a nightmare to get a copy after the fact. If you call hotel number no one ever picks up. My room did have a nice view of the park.
I had a terrible experience. I usually avoid staying in the City when I come to Philly. But I was just looking for one quite and comfortable night while traveling. I was place on the 20th floor with very loud music and noise. There was a constant smell of sunk. All of this until about 8 in the morning. I decided it was point less to try to get some rest now. I got up and prepared to check out. I was going to ask to talk to someone about it but what is going to change about what they already now.
Loved the bar and the bartenders Greg and Marty! Try the bahama breezes and the Thai chicken wings and Fries!!!! The rooms were spacious and the hotel is in a prime location, close to the River's Casino.
Looks great at a glance, is a badly run enterprise in practice. Good location, bad everything else.
Dirty room, bathroom counters were not clean, floors dirty and beds sloppily made. I requested another room and the 2nd room wasn't much better. Hair on the end table, coffee cup stains and floor was not vacuumed. A poor experience here.
Pretty average hotel. Nothing special about it, the rooms could use some updating, but overall it is clean and staff are friendly.
A waste of money and not worth the hassle. The amount of problems we encountered were commical and If I were too go through each one I would be here all day. DONT BOOK
NYE night was good. Long line to check in but gave us free samples of champagne and only took about 20-30 min to wait to check in. My friends sat at the bar and got me a drink to wait in line with so that helped. Overall a good stay
We grabbed a last minute hotel from Hotel tonight and scored a pretty good deal. The room was exactly as nice as you'd expect a Marriott hotel to be, but it was HUGE! Would definitely stay there again.
Renovated inside so rooms are nice and staff are helpful. valet parking only and breakfast is extra, but really central location and great views from the higher floors.
When I pulled up, valet was nowhere to be found. The rooms were kind of dated. The tv had lines through it on every channel. When you call the front desk at night you either get no answer or they picked up and put you right on hold without even saying hello. The lady in the gift shop was rude. There was food/trash on the elevator. It was an overall poor experience.
DT Philly Sheraton, has become my new home away from home. Easy access to everything downtown. Most importantly, they have a great staff. They bend over backwards to make sure you are happy!. Nabria at the front desk (PM) and Stella brewing up the coffee in the morning are 5-Star!
Clean room, pleasant staff, even gave us a discount on our parking. Nicely located within walking distance to several tourist attractions and restaurants.
Fantastoc location in heart of downtown Philadelphia. Short walk to townhall and museums. The lounge is basic, but nice.
Excellent service. Definitely see Mary, the concierge, for recommendations tailored to your needs. She gave my family great lunch suggestions and a fab place for dessert! The front desk staff were very accommodating to our needs. Will be back for sure!
Great location, the only problem is that the rooms don't have refrigerators or safes and some of the TVs have trouble working. Other than that, great service and I've enjoyed my stay.
I had to complain because I didn t have hot water in my room but I had to admit they gave us a new room right away. The pool is nice, enjoyed it by myself.
Nice place, but my heat didn't work and didn't know you had to request for refrigerators,
ice machine on the 18th floor didnt work
Attended a Halloween party, didn't stay in any of the rooms, but the ball room and lobby were very elegant.
The hotel was nice. Conference rooms were spacious. The only concern was that room labels were not easily seen right away.
We stayed on the non renovated side. The lobby is really nice but the room could use an update. We parked across the street at the parking garage.....Out by 9am was only $9. Hotel is located in a good spot to get around the city. The restaurant was open late but we didn't try their food or drink during our stay.
We worked with Sarah Bolger and her team to book rooms for our wedding. I am writing this review to warn other brides look elsewhere for your big day. The booking department has no idea what rooms will work for a wedding party getting ready. We tried to book a big suite and got a tiny suite (junior suite) you have to know to ask for a presidential suite to get one. We stayed at the hotel a month before the wedding to get an idea of the room size and they put us in a presidential and told us this is what we booked. Day of the wedding we got a small junior suite. Luckily the hotel realized they screwed up and offered the room next to ours to help with space when the bridesmaids were getting ready. They put the groom in a handicapped room so he had to hang all of his things in my room. Then not pictured because you can t upload pictures, the hotel sent up free breakfast the day of that was covered in mold. This was reported and they removed it quickly. Next they sent flowers and chocolates to make up for breakfast to one of our guests meant for us. They constantly mixed guests up, sending things all over the hotel but never to the room that ordered the items. Lastly we had to go through all the bills because they mixed up all the guest bills. They are really disorganized, they have too many people involved giving misinformation and I would eat food from the kitchen at your own risk.
Nice hotel. But watch your bill...if you're getting a room with free breakfast....they will charge breakfast to your room.
Nice enough. Great for the price. Convenient to the amazing museums
conference rooms had poor temperature control and bad technology
Beautiful establishment. Visited here for a convention. Very quiet in the rooms.
