Was not able to stay there as they were booked. Stopped in for lunch during the Eagles Superbowl parade and they were more than hospitable as other hotels would not let you in unless you were staying there.

Good location downtown, within walking distance to many locations or a short Uber ride away. The bar area was good, albeit a little pricey. A Yeungling draft cost 7.50. The morning breakfast offered a hot buffet bar or choice of menu items. The room was not great. Very dirty. The bedding was not clean and peeling the bedding back revealed what looked to be crushed up potato chips on the mattress. The box springs on the bed had no cover sheets and were exposed, leaving a sloppy and unprofessional look. Corners in the room were very dirty and dusty, table tops were streaked and looked greasy. Overall, location, bar, and food were good and would give 4 stars. Room would be 2 stars.

It's nothing like their pictures that they have posted. The hallways was dirty, the room had a funny smell to it, some of the front desk workers was an idiot. They over charged my card more than once. The lobby was cold, and while trying to eat breakfast they was construction going on. The parking garage was a mess. This hotel needs to step up their game

Great hotel location. Parking garage was fine but seriously the worst hotel bed I've ever slept on. Center was not supported. Laying flat my butt was about 6" lower then my ankles. So uncomfortable. Thank goodness it was only for one night.

It takes multiple calls ringing multiple times to reach anyone at front desk, reservation cancelled twice during a 6 day stay - didn t want to complain during stay for fear of losing room, rug filthy, bathrooms disgusting with mold growing in bath tub and on shower curtain, restaurant exhorbantly expensive - $25-40 for breakfast! overheard many other people reporting bugs in their rooms and similar complaints

I am staying at this hotel right now I just got to my room and I find a disgusting carpet and old bedding that needs an urgent change, also with unknown stains, this hotel is a Sheraton supposedly, but I feel more in a motel and for the price they charge is a hoax, avoid it at all costs.
I. Writing while I am still ath the hotel, I just came to the room and find with a super disgusting carpet, is fill with stains all over and is so old that is starting to get loose in my many points. The blankets have also stains and one of the pillows was so waste and used that is was not white anymore it was yellow !!! This is a Sheraton with the quality of a motel, super high price for what you get. Internet is 14 dollars daily !!! Seriously on these days you still charge for internet?

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it's always been... okay. But it's really fallen into a state of disrepair at this point. My room was filthy and reeked of having been smoked in for years. The carpet, as you can see from the pictures, is stained and dirty with ground-in gum, patches of carpet slapped down and peeling up. My bath towel had a large blood stain on it, a prize I discovered as I was drying off after bathing in a half-working shower. The front desk and restaurants feel very understaffed there and the employees on-hand seemed stressed and over-worked. This used to be a Sheraton, and rather than fix things, I guess the decision was made to just change the name and let it continue devolving into a homeless shelter. Avoid if you can.

The hotel is located in a safe and quiet part of downtown Philly. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were also pleasant and helpful. Overall it's a solid, standard hotel stay that will suit most people's needs for a place to stay while they are in Philly. The one real negative I have for the place is that WiFi is not free. I would have thought that something like WiFi would be complimentary with your stay in this day and age.

There is a reason that this hotel is usually inexpensive compared to its neighbors. It's location isn't ideal, as you need to cross the parkway to get to most Rittenhouse Square and Center City locations where all of the best dining and shopping is. On the upside, it is right off the highway, and is close to the museums and fountains. The rooms are basic and can be loud, as this is a favorite among the prom and wedding crowd.

***NO HOT WATER*** - Stay away. I stayed at the hotel from 11/11-15/2019 and three of the fours nights there was no hot water. Is wasn't an isolated incident. I spoke to no less than ten other guests that experience the same thing. This year alone, I've stayed at Philadelphia 201 for close to 30 nights. This is extremely disappointing!!! And by the way, don't bother trying to get a manager on the phone it's a waste of time.

The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown is in serious need of a revamp. The sheets were stiff and rough, the hotel room smelled off, the windows were so dirty / old that we could almost barely see through them, the parking garage was a mess, and the doors always slammed shut. The lobby is beautiful and it is in an awesome area!

We stayed the night of a burst water pipe/fire alarm at 1:45am. This was truly disruptive for us, but otherwise we had an excellent stay. The staff had great customer service. The managers took care of service recovery in the AM. The two breakfast hostesses at the coffee bar were exceptional, giving great attention to our needs and requests. We also used the pool & excercise equipment, which were high quality by hotel standards. We appreciated the pet friendly accommodation. In our opinion, this hotel was a great value & we would return (so long as the pipes & fire alarm have been fixed!)

Very disappointed in the service the smoking of marijuana in front of the hotel, parking (valets) people who was not valet parking hop out the car in middle of the street. People not staying in hotel Better rethink marijuana filled the 18 floor.

To be fair, I was in a room that had not been fully renovated. So the halls were dark and creepy and the room carpet was simply icky. The staff were all nice and helpful to our conference attendees. The bar was nice. The elevators were lightning quick leaving short waits even during busy transitions during the conference. I didn't care for the catering. The food just wasn't appealing: rather bland and unremarkable. The wait staff was accommodating and brought items that were not pre-set on the tables like lemon wedges and hot tea when asked. I do have one complaint, the water coolers available in the halls around the halls and ballrooms were often empty.

This place is nasty. Stained carpets. Cold showers. A/C until sounds like a freight train in your room. Faulty tv that turns on and off by itself. Practically comical.

HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE....HORRIBLE
Staying here Wednesday through Friday (2 nights) November 13, 14 and 15 for a conference. After my 2nd complaint to the front desk I just gave up reporting descrepancies.
First room (on 9th floor) I was given had several raised wrinkles and stains on carpet. I reported to front desk. I received another room on 4th floor....and it had the same problem. The hallway on the 4th and 9th floors were dark and gloomy.
I think the TV allows you to log on to your personal Netflix account...yet mine never worked.. it read no internet.
We woke up Thursday morning to NO hot water.
Our conference in the hotel ballroom receiving coffee throughout the morning but, the hotel began charged us $4.00 per cup of coffee after lunch. Why pay $4 for a $1.99 cup of coffee?
The only positive thing I can say about this hotel was Bernie (Bellman) and Mary (Concierge). They were very attentive and gave excellent service that is worthy of praise.
I've had better stays at Motel 6.
WORST experience!
WORST experience!
We were in town for work, and had late nights followed by early mornings (including workouts). The room next to us had an underage college party going on. We were forced to move rooms- to a room that had one bed (3 people). As an elite member, I should not have been forced to sleep on the worst cot i've ever experienced. I could have easily called the cops to break up the party but chose to use security and the manager. My mistake.

Architecturally beautiful and well located hotel that suited us fine. The workers are competent and quite nice but the place is inconsistent and will be better after renovations. Eg. To be sure I'd have lots of coffee in the room I left a tip and a note asking for a few packs after the first night. They delivered. One day of 4 days the room wasn't serviced at all - though maybe because 'do not disturb' was up part of the morning. Views are nice. Bed was fine. A/C was excellent. Shampoos etc were great. I'd stay again but be wary and plan ahead for what you'll need. Gratefully we never needed anything right away.
The bar table service was very slow!
There are no liquor stores nearby.

I stayed at this Hotel because I had a scientific congres in Philadelphia and could reserve the hotel in combination with the congres. What looked like a good en nice hotel turned out to be not that good. Our airconditioning did not work and also did not get repaired in the 4 days we stayed here. Furthermore when you wanted to shower in the morning the water was cold! The personal at the reception were infriendly and didn t listen to our feedback at check-out. The only thing nice was breakfast.

By far the most obnoxious thing was that they charge you $15 PER DAY for Internet. The staff were impatient and not terribly helpful, the TV was static oh half the channels, the rooms don't have refrigerators or microwaves (at least mine didn't), and there's no internet TV option. The carpet isn't even well secured to the subfloor.
However, the beds and bathrooms are nice.

What can I say about this amazing property? Awesome! EXCELLENT staff and PHENOMENAL meeting space. I was one of the meeting planners for a 900 person meeting at this property three weeks ago and I am so impressed with this team that I just want to take them with me any time I do am event. Stacey, Annalisa, Darrell, Parker and Christopher is the team you need from the beginning to the end. What a great group and I am honored to now call them friends.

Hotel is convenient to convention center and staff is friendly but rooms are small, we could not get a refrigerator and there is no safe in the room. The elevator situation is the worst I have ever seen. There are 6 elevators for a large 26 floor hotel and on a busy weekend like the one I visited on there were times when there were lines 30 people deep. It could take 10 minutes or more to get to your room!

Way too expensive. Too far from the center of the city and other sights. Too much construction and crazy banquet rates. $24@ person for coffee for a conference of 600 people. And don't be fooled by the Starbucks sign in the lobby. There's no Starbucks to be found in this lobby!!

During this visit I was at the Sheraton attending conference session. The conference was primarily located at the Convention Center. The Sheraton is a great venue but the two places are about 10 minutes walking distance from each other. Driving takes just as long if not longer. The Sheraton has great spaces for events of all sizes. The higher rooms have great views (a friend was staying here). The staff were great, and the lobby area restaurant is not bad either. I had lunch there one day, and while it was not great, it served the purpose. The hotel is within a few blocks of City Hall where you can get all sorts of public transportation from, including connections to Delaware and New Jersey via another station.

The room and service was excellent. My only complaint...the in room coffee machine was off label cheapie. I attended a meeting there on the ME mezzanine level (see photo). Location is central with easy walk or taxi to restaurants and sights. Over all, it was a pleasant experience with no hassles. The hotel staff were cheerful and helpful. I would stay there again.

Not up to Marriott's usually outstanding service. I'm a lifetime platinum member, live in the suburbs and decided to take my wife to the city for our 21st Anniversary. I mentioned this in the reservation notes, and while I understand upgrades are only available when available, we were assigned a regular room and didn't get so much as a Happy Anniversary. We wanted to order room service for an afternoon snack, but there was no menu in the room. I called and was told one would be sent up, but it never arrived. And instead of breakfast in the lounge or buffet in the restaurant, we were shuttled to the bar cafe for a wrapped sandwich or some oatmeal - disappointing. Best guess is manager is on vacation or the SPG is still suffering from takeover resentment. Two-stars.

The staff is great and the hotel is in a nice location, but the rooms are severely dated. I was quite surprised when I saw it. There's quite a mismatch between the exterior, lobby restaurant, and the rooms. It's not awful, but it's definitely noticable. Also, the housekeeping staff didn't show up to clean my room until after 5:00pm. At that point, I was done with my day and didn't really want to wait for the room to get cleaned. Nonetheless, the place is comfortable and has some nice amenities. I'm glad my organization is paying by for it. I'm not sure I'd want to pay $300 a night to stay here.

The rooms on my floor across the hall from me was so smelly the smell was coming into our room. So bad we was checking out that morning anyway but we left 3 hours earlier because someone opened the doors to the rooms and just let the smell travel through the hallways.. I couldn't take it. So I had to leave ASAP I will never go back or recommend it too anyone.

This property is in a SAD, sorry state. I knew I should have listened to the negative reviews. Both rooms I had were PITS. Disgusting, stained carpets, bed made incorrectly, peeling wallpaper, and doors that didn't close correctly. No access control on the elevators either? I don't understand how Marriott lets this hotel be a part of their chain! Check yourselves, Marriott! They said they're renovating, yet I saw no construction crews at all. I wound up checking out early because I was SO incredibly disappointed. 0/0 would not recommend to anybody.

I am a die hard Starwood Hotel fan and this has been my least favorite Starwood hotel. Its clean but dated. The rooms smell musty, and lack some amenities like a refrigerator in the room. The hotel rooms have a lovely view which is a plus if you get a high room. Good location.
