Arrived Tuesday before the show started, and there was absolutely no parking. The road was lined with cars parked illegally. Everything else was fine. The staff was friendly. This venue is smaller than the other outdoor venues I've been to.

Great sight lines and sound if you can get someone else to pay for the tickets and you really want to see old musicians play old music. The grounds are a secret treasure well worth exploring if at least one member of your squad isn't too high.

Excellent venue for a concert. Clean, organized, and well managed. Ticket cost and food/beverage cost are similar to competitors in the area. It was a little unusual to have to buy a container to drink your wine in at your indoor seat. The container is reusable, just remember to bring it to the next event. Otherwise, an excellent evening out.

Always get pavilion seats in n case of rain. Also tailgate for an hour or two listening to the artist's albums. Get to our seats 1/2 he before show starts. After show go back to the car and tailgate again with desserts while we wait for the cars to leave. About 45-60 minutes we're packed up and heading home after a great night at Wolf Trap.

Very chill and easy going. Sit on the lawn and you are welcome to bring your cooler of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and snacks, or get a pavilion seat (see the website). Great performers.

What an amazing venue. Food and Beverages allowed in (BYOB) and easy to drive in and leave. Tickets reasonable. What's not to love?!
Great family location, lawn seating allows families to spread out.
Well done Wolf Trap!

The place was packed to see the performance of Brayn Adames. The spectators were happy to singalong and follow direction on when to sing, given by the singer himself. Overall it was an expectacular experience. There was good number of personnel who directed trafic before and after the show.

Got the bums rush after the Reba concert, even though your website said 8-11. Concert ended at 9:15 and 9:30 security started telling us we needed to leave. Will think twice before going there again

for me, Wolf Trap is the happiest place on earth. I moved to NoVA in the summer of 1986. I've seen many performances here ranging from Tony Bennet to Don Henley to Steve Martin and Martin Short. they start their summer off with a free concert featuring the Marine Corps Band and a fireworks show. there is always something for everyone. it's a beautiful venue

This was an awesome concert venue, in the lawn seats you were able to bring food and beverages which allowed us to have a nice picnic while we were waiting for the show. One of my favorite venues in the area

This place was beautiful and I attended the Garbage/Blonde concert as well. It was raining a bit but was still a pretty area. Can't wait to go back on a less rainy day so I can walk around the beautiful grounds. Great place for a picnic and nature walk.

I love this place
My wife lives this place
We've made friends at Wolf Trap while attending the most excellent outdoor music concerts. The woodwork in this place alone is worth the visit. The fact that you are allowed to bring in outside food and beverage is fantastic. A 15"x15" cooler will fit under any of the seating and is admissible provided the contents are in compliance with park rules.
I am still dancing from the Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse and Tribal Seeds; also a short set by Iya Terra(upcoming must listen and enjoy Cali reggae).
Did I mention that I love this place!

Bougie semi-outdoor concert hall. Love that its run by the national parks service and all the eco-friendly measures in place. Very clean. Saw the Avett Brothers and had a good time. If you drink, I hope you like IPAs.

The Filene Center is in a beautiful setting among trees on the side of a hill. Since three sides are open, even the indoor seats feel outdoors. One can also purchase lawn tickets and be completely outside. One of largest stages in country. The Barns is the small, intimate setting for performances during the cooler months. Inside are the rough hewn beams of a barn relocated from New England.

I love Wolf Trap, and hope it stays open into the foreseeable future. I have had some bad experiences at Wolf Trap, but the amazing performances outweigh the occasional flop. So, here is the dilemma: what do you do when you are the LEAD SINGER in a band, and you have SOLD OUT Wolf Trap on the Monday before July 4th, AND you have lost your voice?? I cannot even imagine there is a choice to be made...? Well, I know something now I didn't really know before I saw one of my favorite bands, Bare Naked Ladies, play at Wolf Trap this week. Ed Robertson is the frontman of the group because he really is the only member who can carry a tune. Unfortunate for us on a night when Ed has lost his voice. Yes, he made a valiant attempt to allow the "show to go on," but it was not enjoyable for me. From the first song it was apparent his voice was gone, even though he made a good joke about his one raw, bleeding vocal cord that was left, and the fact that he continued to go on with the show: sing and talk through the entire show was brave and stupid at the same time... I know his doctor probably told him straining his already strained vocal cord was not wise at all. I was uncomfortable to know he was suffering for our benefit - and I was uncomfortable that we had paid so much to get "really good seats" for the musical equivalent of an out of tune band... The fact that I would have been unhappy if they had canceled the show, but I was also unhappy that we did not see the show we should have (which is the down side of LIVE MUSIC) left me feeling conflicted. I came to the conclusion that while this really was the only reasonable solution, I still was very disappointed.

i recently attended the Sammy Hagar concert at Wolf Trap, this was our first time attending a concert at this beautiful venue. We arrived around 5 pm and had no problem with parking which is free! We joined the line to get the best lawn location and noted all in line were enjoying adult beverages which are allowed inside and outside the park. I would also add the sound system at Wolf Trap is top notch! The food is also better than you will find at most venues. Overall a great evening!

Wolf Trap is incredibly beautiful. It is made completely from wood and is extremely open. You can sit inside or out side on the grass. Though note that the grass outside isn't particularly comfortable and the TV screens they have for those sitting further back aren't the best quality. So if you get a chance to sit inside, i'd whole heartedly recommend doing that instead.

I purchased 2 tickets to see Maze and the O'Jays this past Friday, August 18 and never made it to the park, The traffic situation was deplorable. We arrived at the exit at 7:00pm and did not get to Trapp Road until after 9:00pm....Traffic on Trapp Road was atrocious..no traffic guidance, nor safe places to park...some people even park on the ramp leading back to 66. We were told there were three medical emergencies and by 8:00pm the parking lot was completely full. Once on Trapp Road, we tried to find safe parking, but none available and parking in the dark neighborhoods was not safe. I tried to call the ticket office to get a refund, but no one returned my call. Please do a better job next time managing large crowds and popular artists...I will never purchase tickets to events at Wolf Trapp in the future.

I totally enjoyed listening to the Ranger here. Kept me interested the whole visit. Gave me lots of information I hadn't previously heard. Some Rangers have an interesting story or two if the are willing to share. The girl was unbelievably kind. I'm ready to go back.

Beautiful place to see a concert. The lawn comes down at quite an angle but is very close to the seated area. There are lots of screens for viewing. There is a nice picnic area and it's set in a beautiful wooded area. Lots of food options inside as well, just be prepared to pay more, just like any venue. Wish this wasn't so far away. I would love to go back.
