I love Wolf Trap. Seeing a concert on the lawn on a summer evening is one of the great joys of living in the DC area. But be prepared for certain inconveniences, such as driving there, parking, standing in line, and waiting a long time to get back out of the parking lot afterwards. Also, the concessions are (not surprisingly) expensive. If you sit on the lawn, plan to get there early for a good seat (gates open 1:30 before the show), bring blankets to sit on and food (and wine! it's allowed), relax and enjoy. I'm not rich enough to become a member and get into the VIP lounge area but it sure looks nice when I'm standing in line sweating my *** off.

Love this smaller sized venue. Really organized and clean. So fun that you can pack a cooler. Lawn seats don't offer the best view of the stage, but the venue makes up for it with a huge screen facing the lawn so you can see all the action even though the stage is a bit out of view. No matter where you sit, the sound itself is awesome. I've seen many shows here and I'm never disappointed.

We were fortunate to attend a behind the scenes tour if the facility, given by the Park Service. An informative, enjoyable presentation and walk through the staging areas, dressing rooms and stage.

I have seen tons of shows here. I will definitely recommend the covered amphitheatre seating because buying tickets 2 months in advance makes planning for weather rather difficult. With that said, the lawn seating is a great spot for a night time picnic that you can bring your own alcohol to. Great shows for reasonable prices and a fun woodsy vibe.

I used to like getting lawn seats but the concert I attended last night had been oversold. Too crowded!
Just because screens were installed that does not justify selling too many tickets.

A great venue for numerous theater products. From the main stage to children's theatre in the woods, los of possibilities. Overall good free parking but to some venues it might be a bit of a hike. The lawn is a great place to have a picnic prior to the show.

I went there one night to see charlie puth it was the best night ever but it started late and the people that where sitting down where the stage is didn't get to there seats until 7:40. I still loved it

Although traffic can be a nightmare getting into Wolf Trap, the venue itself is wonderful for concerts. We usually get tickets for "inside" as opposed to the lawn areas. A little more spacious when you feel the need to get up and dance a bit! Box seating has good views but are tight-seating wise (and no room to dance to the music.) "Fast food" counter options are ok but pricey. Same with beverages both alcoholic and non. If a patron buys one of the "special" Wolf Trap cups for $5 there should be some discount on the beverage no matter what type.

This is the premier concert venue for the area: a wide variety of outstanding shows, good food, easy access. The food is a bit pricey (though delicious), but you're allowed to bring a picnic and enjoy it on site. No food is allowed under the roof, however, only on the lawn, at your vehicle, or at picnic tables on the grounds. Water and drinks purchased at Wolf Trap *are* allowed under the roof.
It's a national park to boot, and the grounds are scenic/tranquil. Staff is friendly and helpful; whether you're "normal" or need handicapped access, the process is smooth.
Beautiful venue in every way.

Always a wonderful time. Sadly the people who go there are rude as hell sometimes too. 4 people taking up 4 huge blankets worth of room and 9 people getting the same space as us 3. Not Wolftraps fault though. Food was good. Music great. My sons 1st concert

I had never heard of Wolf Trap before spending the summer in DC. To say the least, I was surprised that there is a national park for the performing arts. When I learned of this I knew I had to go to a show there. I was able to make it to Ira Glass's performance. I am really impressed that Wolf Trap provides a shuttle service from the DC Metro. We were visiting other sites so we ended up driving but if I ever go back I will surely take advantage of the shuttle option. The venue itself is quite cool. We sat in the lawn. Our experience was not at all diminished by this. Instead, we paid only $25 per seat and had a great view. I would highly recommend the lawn if you don't mind sitting on the ground. Consider bringing bug spray and prepare for a decent wait to get out of the parking lot. These are things that shouldn't be surprises and don't take away from the overall Wolf Trap experience.

Came here for the Pixar show on Friday and had a great time! I normally sit on the lawn when I attend shows at Wolf Trap, but this time my sister got us tickets to her firm's box seats. With the box seats you get access to the Encore Lounge with free food and drinks before the show. They had a great spread of appetizers and had friendly waiters coming around to refill your drinks. Our box seats had a great view of the show, but the one downside is you can't bring in any food or drinks. Whether you sit in the box seats with a great view or on the lawn with your own picnic basket, Wolftrap is a great venue!

Unique venue, National park, great acoustics, very pricey restaurants and concessions. Tailgating is allowed, bring your own food and beverage in a cooler inside. Upscale crowd, friendly staff. Ease of parking and leaving was a breeze.

What an amazing concert venue! We came here for the annual holiday sing along at the Filene Center. There was plenty of parking and hundreds of people. Everyone was there to have a good time and enjoy the holiday spirit. I am definitely going to come back for a concert when it's warmer out.

You are allowed to bring outside food and drink (including alcohol) to the Filene Center, so keep that in mind!

Beautiful place especially for summer parties, whenever I'm passing by I try to watch at least a presentation, the place is suitable to have dinner on the lawn while the show is being presented, this year even under the moonlight.

Awesome venue. Went to the Filene Center and was impressed by how beautiful the venue was. Parked at the west lot and took a golf cart ride to the venue. The walk back to the car was easy through the tunnel under the road. Surrounding the east lot were picnic benches were we enjoyed some wine and snacks. Perfect evening.
