Wolf Trap is a wonderful place to see a performance. The venue is beautiful, and a peaceful, relaxed vibe reverberates all around. I have been several times, and am always excited when a musician or comedian that I love is scheduled there.

We visited for a concert for the first time recently. I would prefer more signs in the parking lots to let people know they are in the right place and where to go, but there were so many nice staff members and security folk around that all I had to do was ask! It was very laid back and relaxing. Lovely venue and a very pleasant experience.

Love Wolf Trap. Was there twice, a week apart. Ate at Ovations the first time, and brought a picnic the next. Ovations is consistent, if uninspiring, but that's not a slam. They offer a number of options, and a good choice if you have reserved seating. Show up early enough to get easy exit parking, relax through dinner, drinks, and dessert, then mosey over to waiting seats. I prefer the lawn usually, but it's nice to be weatherproof. A true national treasure if you've not been.

I would say that for my first time going to the Wolf Trap, I had a great time. The two things I didn't like was getting out of the park. It was definitely easier to get in the park versus out and the last thing was nit being able to take a beer can in the orchestra seats and beung firced to buy a 5.00 souvenir cup. The four star rating is simply because my overall concert experience was great!

Lionel Richie put on a great show! Performed close to 2 hours. He could have used some fans on stage though. Express lanes didn't work out as suggested. Regular lines moved faster. Mixed messages given by staff regarding low beach chairs.

We were forced to sit on the outside of the lodge because they sold more tickets than they could fit for John Mellencamp. I paid $45 to stare at a wood wall and when we tried to peek around the sides, the ushers moved us away. I would have had the same experience on my back porch for free. What a horribly designed venue for a concert. Lesson learned...a "Lawn" ticket is a total waste of money at Wolf Trap. John was great though...from what I could hear...

As a sheltered venue, and considering the location, Wolf Trap is delightful. There is ample parking, and plenty of assistance to the physically challenged. There are plenty of bathrooms, and that's coming from someone who used to have anxiety attacks about proper access. The staff are always ready to help you, and are professional in their endeavors to keep everyone safe. My best tip is to bring a couple of bottles of frozen water if you're attending a summer event. As they thaw you'll have cold water to drink, and the outside of the thawing bottle, when wiped across the back of your neck is quite refreshing.

Open air venue for concerts and other performances in DC's Northern VA suburbs. Assigned seating available in the covered area with open seating under the stars on the lawn. 5 recently-installed jumbo hi-def LED screens considerably improve the lawn and balcony experience. Bring your own food and beverages, or purchase from (somewhat pricey) onsite outlets.

One of the best music venues ever! Been coming here for many years and have seen BB King, Nas, Billy Idol, ZZ Top, Slightly Stoopid, and many others at this amazing venue. It's not really summer if you don't go to a Wolf Trap show or two!

The Wolf Trap venue was nice I had seats near the stage for the Nas concert. The food was disgusting and overpriced. The parking can be a disaster but the security did a good job controlling the traffic.

Variety of shows come through here. Parking is available but is a pain after the performance lets out. Lawn seats are inexpensive but be aware of rude people who will step on your blanket or knock over your food/drink. You can eat and drink on the lawn rather than only water in the actual seats.

Wolf Trap is one of our family's favorite local places for concerts. It's a (relatively) small venue, with the main stage designed as an amphitheater (ground, balcony and lawn seating). They host a variety of acts throughout the summer, with both free and paid concerts.

The grounds are beautiful, with picnic areas outside of the gated area, and they allow food and drink on the lawn. Nothing except for water is allowed in the seating area, so don't plan on bringing anything to your seats.

If you do plan to get lawn seats, you should be aware that the hill has a decent slope, and they don't allow chairs below a certain line (basically the upper lip of the amphitheater). You should also plan on getting to the grounds a bit early. Lawn space is first come, first serve, and popular concerts tend to fill the lawn quickly.

Overall, it's a great venue, and the variety has been getting a lot better over the last few years. If you are a local, you should definitely give Wolf Trap a shot.

Such a great venue though it has super hot in the summer. There's a great variety in the shows here as well. If it's a big concert makes sure to get there early or buy a seat because the lawn can fill up fast.

First time visiting this venue. Absolutely beautiful! Free parking and you can bring your own food and drinks to the lawn area. That's unheard of for any concert venue so that was really cool.

Ready to return today. Only nine hundred miles away. Thr Ranger girl was so knowledgeable and pleasant. I spent quite a bit of time listening to her. She was full of information. Worth the trip.
