Wolf Trap is a great place to see a show. Close to DC but easier to get to and better acoustics than Capital One Arena. And much more convenient than Nissan Pavilion. Saw Roger Daltrey perform Tommy. And that's about what it was. Did an encore of Who are you. Baba O'Riley and Always Heading Home. Started shortly after 8 and was out of the parking lot shortly after 10. But Roger is getting up there. Was glad I went but also glad for lawn tix.

Wolf Trap is a great venue. If you elect lawn seats, you can bring your own beverages and food with some limitations. Even if you're in the house seats, you can leave your cooler just outside, often they let you do this. This venue brings some great shots and artists for the summer.

Great place to see a concert. Every volunteer and staff member was very polite, helpful, and professional. I seriously plan to return for another concert when I have the chance. I greatly recommend to anyone for concert viewing.

Off Leash dogs are an issue inside park. On several occasions we have had large unleashed dogs block the paths, growl and even push into us. Even happens near the Childrens Theatre in the woods.

What isn't there to love about this place? I've only been for concerts, but they will let you picnic on the lawn. You can even bring your own alcohol, just make sure your cooler is within their size restrictions. Tickets are always affordable and they bring some great shows to the area. My favorite concert venue!

First time to Wolf Trap and will go again. Smaller venue, but such a beautiful place. Went to a sold out Charlie Puth concert. It was lovely. Acoustics were fantastic. Will definitely see other artists here.

Saw Flight of the the Concords and it was great! You can't see the stage from the furthest part of the grass, but it's still a beautiful venue. I love having the ability to bring in your own food, including wine/beer to picnic with.

On top of that, their AV set up is amazing. Especially their digital signage and things that go over looked is really well done

It's an outstanding venue. If you haven't been, you need to. If you don't like it, I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with you. The venue, the staff, the ability to bring your own cooler, beer/wine, the sound system, all of it, top notch. Such a great variety of artists that pass through. Just go.

Saw my first concert here recently and had a lovely experience. Being able to bring food and drink in if you're sitting on the lawn for the show makes for a really relaxed atmosphere, as does setting up your own blanket and belongings to sit with your friends. They have nice food and alcoholic drink selections available for purchase as well.

Just beware the 9th circle of hell that is attempting to leave the venue in your car after the show. Order COMPLETELY breaks down in the parking lot and billions of cars just aimlessly amble toward the few exit routes creating a giant, frustrating bottleneck that you can get stuck in for 30 minutes to an hour. That's the only gripe I have--I hope that the venue owners look into some kind of solution to make things more orderly. I know it can't be fast given the practical realities of hosting that many people, but I am sure it could at least be less of a lawless wasteland experience.

To sit on the lawn or not? That is the number one thing that you need to decide when visiting Wolf Trap. Sitting on the lawn means sipping your beverage of choice all evening with your nearest and dearest. Loge seats inside will provide a better view and protection from Virginia's famous summer thunderstorms. Either way, you will enjoy the stunning architectural beauty of this outdoor music venue as well as the sound of fantastic music.

Fantastic local treasure! During the summer you can pack a full picnic basket with food and any beverage and attend a full range of performances on their lawn. The parking is usually easy, though it can be a test of your will to get out after the performance.

Beautiful park with nice walking trails and plenty of picnic benches. The grounds are well maintained and there is plenty of parking. The concert venue is amazing and the acoustics are excellent considering it is an open air theater.

A very nice place to go for a summer concert especially since you can bring your own food and booze and relax on the lawn for a beautiful relaxing Summer Night concert. My company has an event here every year and it's always super fun. You can of course by seats to but it's just as good on the lawn. I will say as a warning if you want to see the stage in the concert you will need to buy seats you cannot see much from the lawn that is the one downside.

We attended the Rodrigo y Gabriela concert. Not only was their performance amazing but so was our experience. The staff at Wolf Trap was extremely friendly. And our picnic-on-the-lawn experience was a lot of fun!

I went to see Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky & Mike along with SWV. Overall these two groups were AWESOME! However, Bobby Brown, appeared to be drunk as hell. Wolf Trap is. Nice venue. Food prices are bearable; adult beverage prices are high of course. I did not like the long line at the park's exit toll. The line was so long due to most toll lanes being closed. After waiting a long time to get out of the parking lot (which I understand)I was so not happy with the second looong wait.

Our go-to venue for summer/outdoor performances. Great atmosphere, friendly volunteers and employees. Best part is the ability to bring blankets and a picnic! They even provide chairs (for a small fee) which makes the lawn the best place to experience the shows.

Lovely outdoor venue; visited for a Washington National Symphony show in the summer. Had a seat in the pavilion so we avoided the thunderstorm that rained on others in the grass, but the show went on! Definitely arrive early to park in a decent spot.

Wolf Trap is such a fun place to go for the Arts. I've been for several programs and all have been great. It is really fun to take a picnic dinner and find a nice place on the lawn to eat before the performance. The parking is free, and there are plenty of opportunities for exploration before curtain time. A very unique venue.
