I used to come here as a kid, it's still as amazing as I remember! This place is one of the best dessert joints around, and the burgers are made to order.

Always awesome and delicious. The onion rings are amazing and the decor stands the test of time. Keep it up.

The original location! Bigger restaurant, more room to enjoy and more staff on hand for a quick flow of service.

Staff is friendly and inviting. I have been to this location multiple times and they are always quick to serve and check up on you. Food is quality and prices are great. I would always recommend Winsteads for great burgers and shakes.

Dry burger that is really overrated and over priced. I've tried this place years ago and didnt like it. I was really hoping for better results. Someone else might like it but I dont.

The service was great, root beer float and burgers were good. Very good place for cheap eats in the KC area.

A KC staple, great thin patty burgers, fries, and milkshakes. A little pricey.

We stopped in for shakes. Big ones. The food is alright but if you want a late night chocolate shake skyscraper that will leave your innards tussling for hours, this is the place.

Established in 1940. Everything is good. Burgers see, onion rings, egg sandwich. But the very best was the banana milkshake with hot fudge mixed in. Always fun to go there.

Nasty. You can get better burgers almost anywhere. Won't be going back.

A Kansas City institution. Great burgers, fries and malts at reasonable prices. Servers are all friendly.

They need one of these in Omaha. Bronco burger is the closest it gets for this amazing burger and shake.

Its always good. Especially cause my mom waits on me. But i always get good food here.

True classic in KC. It's a must stop for me everytime I'm coming/going from the airport even if it's out of the way.

A run down restaurant. Chocolate milkshake was bad, with poor quality soft serve ice cream and the shake wasn't mixed well. Onion rings were not hot and were oily. Took a long time to get 5 milkshakes to us. But the drive through was busy, so maybe that's why. Bathroom was very bad, dirty and smelly and gnats flying around. Server was very nice though.

Puked and crapped for 10 hours after eating here... Never again!

They were packed and our service was still super speedy! Great food!

I have gone to Winstead's for 10+ years for the burgers and shakes. The drive through is fast, food is good, shakes are some of the best around and they are open 24 hours so you can always get what you crave. The ONLY reason I did not rate them 5 stars is it's a little pricey for a burger place.

The food is not very good. The steak burgers are dry and very small. The fries are plain (no flavor or salt). The kids meals are a joke as well.. we spend $50 on nasty food asked for 1 SIDE of ranch and was told they had to charge us... okay, fine.. we never got the ranch.. I feel like the ONLY reason this place and higher review ratings is because is by a bar district downtown and if you're drunk anything tastes good. The food is gross and way over priced for dry & tasteless food.

Winsteads is the BOMB!! Great place for a burger ans fries and you have to try one of their milkshakes and their cherry limeade!

What a wonderful place to have breakfast on the plaza. I so enjoy their food and service.

It's Winsteads, where else would you go to get a milkshake 2 feet tall or go after an evening bar hopping with friends. It's cheap but it's still really good

Great food as always!! Been going to Winstead's since I was a kid. Great atmosphere. Love the hamburgers and french fries. Its always a treat coming here especially this location near the Country Club Plaza. The service was good. Plus my cherry limeade was excellent! I definitely recommend this restaurant. I will be coming back soon.

Food is okay but go for the 50's diner vibe. And the tower of milkshake is impressive to say the least!

I really like Winsteads. 50's themed restaurant and the burgers and shakes are great. Too bad most of them are closing in favor of chain restaurants like Freddie's. The decor could use an upgrade. But this is a KC business we should support. Keep the originals around.

24 hours restaurant and they have good options too.
