CLEAN, friendly!! The food is always delish. Best place in East Grand Forks, which is close not have to drive across town. Recommend this place absolutely! So meet me on the deck, a place in East Grand Forks!

They are approaching a fare that is starting to reflect the regional cuisine however I think that it missed the mark and is slightly overpriced considering the quality of the food. This may be one of the only family run restaurants in the area and for the location this improves the experience but not the food.

A well-known local establishment with a wide variety of national and Regional favorites. The food is always excellent, the service prompt, and the ambience inviting. The only drawback is that it is a open roofed type environment, which means it can be fairly noisy.

My absolute favorite place to eat in the GF/EGF area. The seasonal menus are always awesome, as is the permanent menu! Great drink selection for both cocktails and beers. Beautiful river deck seating, weather permitting.

Really great food. I had the Chipotle Chicken wrap and my girlfriend had a pasta dish. Both were a little spicy but great. We also had sweet potato fries which were some of the best I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and while there was a big line up to get in, it only took about 5 minutes so we were pleasantly surprised.

Came down from Winnipeg and would definitely go back.

It is fine for what it is. It is not a fancy restaurant and it isn't fast food. It is a non-chain of the Ruby Tuesday or TGI Fridays ilk with more character, better beer selection, quite a bit more seating, and a much better location. If that is the type of place you are looking for I would choose it above the chains unless you or another guest has food allergies. The chains seem to have allergy menus, Blue Moose does not the last time I asked. I would bring out of town guests here if they are staying more than a day and you are tired of cooking.

Great local restaurants. Specials and old favorites. The pbeb burger is one of kind. The Norwegian BBQ sauce is great. Sometimes the pasta can be disappointing but this is more then made up for by the small plates section.

Went with a group of 22, family get together, not only did they take our orders, get drinks, bring food out quickly, everything was quick, we didn't have to wait long for anything. Service was outstanding and friendly. Foos was worth every penny.

Great

Pleasant staff. Extensive menu. Good food.
We were a party of 8, 4 adults and 4 children, who came for mid week lunch on Halloween. The wait staff was dressed in costume. They have about 8 entree items on the kids menu. The gluten free menu also had a wide range of choices. The food was good, not great.

I was there with my daughters last evening to celebrate my eldest daughter's birthday. We asked for a quiet place to sit. They sat is in a loud corner. We ordered our meals and drinks. The salad I ordered was advertised as everything in the kitchen. I payed $14.00 for it. It was very disappointing . It had huge pieces of cheap ice berg lettuce, a cup of cheddar jack cheese took up a huge portion of the plate. It appeared to be a two different cold cuts of turkey and ham ( by itself it tasted like turkey bologna), I had one very thinly sliced carrot, a couple pieces of spinach ..I would've complained about but our waitress was never around. We would not recommend this place. And won't be back.

It was very nice out, eating on deck. Food was delicious and the server was amazing and attentive. The Tuesday pasta sounded good but on a warm summer evening it sounded heavy so got something light. Great all around beside the dr. Pepper being flat but everything else an A.

Great food and an amazing beer selection. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. I have eaten nearly every item on the menu and can honestly say that I haven't had a bad item. Highly recommended!

Another visit to the Blue Moose while in Grand Forks for the weekend. Saturday night and waited about 45 minutes for a table. The spinach queso dip started our dinner off just right.
I had the strip steak and unfortunately it wasn't as good as I hoped, no seasoning and not very tender; the sweet potato fries were also over fried. My daughter ordered the PBEB (peanut butter, egg, bacon) burger, she said it was good, but I'm not quite sure if I would have enjoyed that combination. My daughter's BF ordered the brisket and said it was very good. Service was great for being very busy. I'll go back to try something different next time.

Always have a great time here, love the environment and the food is always incredible, my favorite appetizer is the Louisiana poutine, and the head cabbage roll. Burgers are great and so are the steaks. Plus the 1919 root beer is on TAP and DELICIOUS!

First off, the food was very good. Secondly the waitresses were very nice (and hot). Unfortunately the food took way longer than it should have since it was fairly quiet in there, and the waitress never brought my drink. I will go back in hopes that next time will be a bit better.

Beautiful view of the Red River and Grand Forks from the deck. We had the Monday night burger special which was very good. They have a good tap beer menu as well. A busy place even on a Monday with lots of people having fun.

I love the food it's a bit noisy but you can always find a spot to sit. It's balcony views the red river and it's fun to sit out there and eat a change of pace on a nice day. In the autumn season, when there are wasps about no problem, they serve them something extra sweet and the wasps leave you alone. I love the blue cheese burger with crumbled blue cheese and mushrooms and yes they have sweet potato fries with their own special sauce. The price is reasonable and this building survived the 1997 flood but was on the other side of the street at the time. Quick thinking saved our blue moose and now it's the hub of all activities: proms, the arts and crafts, after or before a movie, the park....

Great atmosphere and located just above the Red River with great views. There is outside deck seating. My server, Alex, was very friendly and did a fantastic job. The food here is tasty and served up within minutes of ordering. I highly recommend going here and will return when back in the Grand Forks area.
