Winngate by Wyndham - Oklahoma City Airport Review

This was by far the worst hotel I ve stay at yet! My girlfriend, her kids, and I got there and had to be switched rooms as soon as we got to our room. No one had cleaned the room before we had gotten in there, trash still on the side tables and no towels in the bathroom. The lady at the front desk acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her cause we told her it was still dirty and that she had to go look. We had finally gotten to our new room and all was good. Took the kids swimming that evening and was enjoying relaxing in the hot tub. Got back to the room to take a shower and I had walked down to the front desk and requested a few more things of shampoo and conditioner for my girlfriend and was only given shampoo and told they didn t have any conditioner. Then to top off all of that my girlfriend calls me today and says she was charged $10 extra dollars on her card, so she calls and was given the most ridiculous, most idiotic answer I ve ever heard by a hotel! They had charged her because we did not make our beds and we accidentally left a towel on the bathroom floor and 2 cups on the office table in the room the kids had drank from that morning we had left. This place has very well succeeded in running off 2 paying customers! Which even before this happened we would have never stepped foot back in that place again!

They canceled our reservation and then denied us a refund

We asked for a couple favors and they accommodated us. Had a lovely Visit over Mother's day!

Has nice indoor pool I wish brought swim trunks that do business trips and on time this could be fun.

Clean, rooms are nicely appointed, bed is wonderful. No smell of smoke which is very important to us. Close to so many restaurants.

Very lovely place to stay. Enjoyed my stay will be back soon. Thanks for the A quality service. Breakfast staff was amazing. Tip her.

It has been as far the worst place I've ever had stayed in Oklahoma, had to book another room for the weekend and I didn't get a refund.
Hope you enjoy the fee you charged after all the trouble you had going me through by not allowing a handicap person park in the designated spot or near the front door since the rest of the entrances are locked after 6 PM..
Was not able to walk long distances but they just didn't do anything! .

Quiet, clean relaxing stay. Definitely my favorite stay when in OKC.

Comfortable bed and good breakfast, bathroom in the room can use some cleaning, mold around the tub.. Check in was nice and easy at night, we got a quiet room on the 4th floor for one night, however, when I called to ask for a lost/missing item this morning front desk was not even close to nice or polite. Decent hotel for the rate. You get what you pay for..

This motel has gone down hill a lot since we have stayed here in the past. All of these pictures and even more that I didn't post. Our room is musty. Two others who we said nothing to about it walked in and immediately said "This room smells." What appears to be mold or mildew in the tub, mold or mildew on the ceiling above the bed. Fire sprinkler housing above the bed ajar and the list goes on.

I don't expect things to be perfect but I sure don't expect things to be like this either. Needless to say all of this will be going to the Wyndham Corporation for their review.

Hot tub is also out of order and we were told that there is no maintenance on duty today. We were told that doors would be locked at 7:00pm and that all entry would be from them ain enterance at the front of the building... Notice the tape and wash cloths? Pretty bad when there is no maintenance on a weekend when Oklahoma University is having a home game and most motels are fully booked.

It was an okay stay not very proud about the stay the room we got was 213 looks like it was cleaned fast. Toliet had a pee ring around it and bath tube looks like it was just wipe down. Things were left behind from another people that had stayed before us. Needs to be updated and things needs to be repair!!! Very dissapointed we usually stay here when we have things to do or family time. My 12 month old got up crying to people hollering and fighting outside. I also watched a man get hit by a truck didn't know if he made it or not to scared to go out side to check. Cops did come but it was too much to watch. Also My husband said my son and him went for breakfast and it was bad. The whole breakfast didn't taste good. We will not be coming back.

My three roomates and I found not one but two used needles, dime-sized plastic bags, and sex toys hidden in places around the room. We purchased the suite with one king size bed and two pull out beds for the week. The first night of our stay was when we found the first needle and toy. We're were assured that the room would be inspected and we wouldn't have to worry- not true. The very next night we came across the second needle lying on top of a picture frame in the bathroom. The manager and staff were in no hurry to fix the problem. So if you stay here, check your pull out bed, under your mattress and in your bathroom. Also do not expect to get respectable service or your problem tended too in a timely manner.

We picked this hotel for its location and reviews but what a huge mistake. The room was disgusting there was brown stains everywhere bathroom door, phone, curtains ECT. The smell was disgusting we had to go by air freshener abd spray the room. The cable did not work most of the time. I went into the busniess center to use the computer when I come out a lady work I g front desk yelled at me to pay for what I took as the bus I ess center doubkes as a snack pantry. I literally had nothing in my hands and she never even left her chair to see she just assumed I had taken something. I showed her my hands and she justlooked back down at whatever she was reading. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. When we tried to check out we waited at front counter for 20 min no one ever came they just kept working on their tasks and ignored us.

Booked this particular hotel because it advertised indoor pool, hot tub and sauna..indoor pool room was so hot you couldn't stand it. Hot tub was barely warm water and NO water circulation and sauna was just a little bitty room with a heater stuck in it...went to take a hot bath in my room since hot tub sucked, bath tub wouldn't hold water... We were very disappointed. But room conditions were ok.

The room was okay and the bed was comfortable but I would never stay here again. The shower took nearly 15 minutes to get only slightly warmer than lukewarm. I asked the front desk if there was something wrong with their water heater and they said it's normal and it usually only takes 5 minutes to warm up.

Stains or something that won't scrub off the bottom of my bathtub... I'd expect that at the Super 8 but not for $30/night more. I love baths, hate sketchy bathtubs. Otherwise the hotel is clean and well appointed, beds like heaven. Soap smells good

They ve spent all the money updating the lobby and neglected the actual rooms. We booked here because we thought we were getting a great deal. Turns out we got less than what we paid for. The room smelled like overly chemically cleaning supplies. The carpet was disgusting. I do not recommend this place for anything more than just an overnight business trip. The heated pool is just slightly above freezing.

Pick another hotel there's plenty around. This hotel used to be nice but now your door into your room might not even need a key to get in, mine was like that for 3 days before they fixed it. Maids steal your stuff, wallpaper peeling off, holes in the wall where there used to be a mirror hanging up and multiple attempts to hang it. I've stayed in almost every hotel on this strip and it's not even close to some of the others.

Room had a broken chair, missing paint could have stayed at the comfort inn down the road for cheaper and it was nicer

Hot tub and pool was great but the fact that they are a "green" team is worth every penny!

Loved my stay, very clean and they do have breakfast, swimming and an exercise small room yes I would stay again

Staff was unprofessional.. Side door was missing handle and unlock but a sign printed on the glass said "For security reasons this door stays locked at night. Room was extremely nice though! Definitely caught me by surprise

The beds were very comfortable and the service was wonderful. A shuttle to the airport and pickup from the airport allows you to park your car at the hotel so you don't have to pay for parking at the airport.

EXTREMELY disappointed. We expected a better experience from a Wyndham facility. When we booked the room online, the description specifically said that it came with quadruple rooms & included a hot tub (which was a large part of the reason we chose this hotel). We get to the room- it's one large room, a bathroom, a shabby sofa & no hot tub. I went back down to the desk, itinerary in hand, only to be told that the description was referring to the community hot tub. I was shrugged off by the clerk with no apology. I called the booking company, & they agreed that the room description was very misleading & that the hotel was in the wrong. The very kind & helpful agent I spoke with called & spoke with the woman at the desk to try to get us at least a partial refund. She ended up (begrudgingly) giving us a measly 10% refund. The agent felt so bad that he gave us an additional refund from the booking site. In addition, the smoke detector went off for no reason less than an hour after we got in the room (we don't smoke), the bathtub took several hours to drain after using it, and one of the cleaning staff just walked into our room at 9:00 am, 3 hours before check-out time! I was still in bed! And the breakfast was a joke. The biscuits were so hard you couId not even cut into them. I have never had such a bad hotel experience. I will never use this place again, it is awful!!

Filthy. During a pandemic it is important to actually wipe down surfaces on occasion. The bathroom door was broken. Rust in the shower. Stains all over the carpet. Hallways needed to be swept. Shampoo and conditioner were only 10% full. Toilet seat was loose. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Beware of bed bugs. I always check mattresses when I stay somewhere and I did and all seemed well until my husband and 2 kids laid in bed and I happened to see them crawling.

Husband went to front desk and they agreed to give us a different room, I look under the mattress and low and behold 2 bed bugs out in plain site. Needless to say we left and won t be staying there again.

Front desk was friendly. Rooms were nice and clean for the price. However, it was very noisy. I could still hear the mini fridge, the heater, the vending machine, and the neighbor showering while I was trying to sleep. Housekeeping entered my room twice even though I had "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. My sheets and towels were taken before I even checked out. Then, the maid came to my door and asked when I was leaving. She was rude and acted as if I was interrupting her schedule.

Staff is nice, the room was good and clean. Had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker.

TV did not work, but the desk did try and have it fixed. Pool was NOT HEATED!! Hot tub was down for repair. Over all it was not terable just inconvenient

They gave the key of my room to someone else. I was sleeping and AN UNKNOWN PERSON UNLOCKED MY DOOR at 4:00AM. Totally disorganized, no privacy. I woke up with a call 4:30AM from the front desk guy saying that I was in the wrong room. Very rude person.
I've been there 3 nights and one day they skipped the cleaning of my room. Terrible place. There are several hotels in the same area, do not waste your money on this hotel.

Nice, clean, comfortable, modern, convenient, and friendly. Can't ask for a whole lot more! Plenty of shopping and dining options close by without the feeling of being in the middle of chaos. Staff was knowledgeable when asked for dining suggestions and gave clear directions to anywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again if our travels took us to the City again in the future.

My hotel room was fine, clean bed was pretty comfortable but the rest of the place is terrible. There are spots of fluid being wasted all over the carpets the trash on the floor in the lobby and there was also a smell in the building. I don't think I will be staying here again.

Terrible service, tv didn't work, hdmi ports busted, staff unfriendly, only one maintenance guy, door to bathroom broken, was downgraded, shallow pool with murky water. Over priced hotel that you can honestly find better for $40. Do not stay here, you will not enjoy it.

The hotel was AMAZING for the price and Alicia Parrish has GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, when I am here next year for our Annual Convention!

Amazing place. They are doing some upgrades from classic look to a very modern look. Excited to see the upgrades. The front desk staff is especially easy to work with. They are the definition of excellent customer service in a service based industry where customer service is slowly diminishing.

Took 30 minutes for anyone to come to the front desk. Checking in was a nightmare.

The hotel is beautiful, the amenities all functioning. I would give five stars but the hot tub downstairs needs work done to get the jets to actually function. Staff has been friendly and professional. The jacuzzi in the deluxe king suite is amazing with very hot water and powerful jets.
The bed is comfortable and the room is just so neat. We definetely enjoy our time here.

Rooms were not nice at all and front desk guy seems like he dislikes people. They also charged me 20 extra dollars for a pillow they said I took!? Do not go to this place beware.

Not bad for the night, reasonable price. Elevators were slow and run down. Room was nicely furnished, but walls showed definite signs of wear.

Probably one of my worst customer guest experience I've had in quite some time.....front desk clerk was extremely"as a matter of fact" and very condecending.
Housekeeping staff took up most of the lobby eating off of the breakfast bar and being very loud while PAYING guests were still in the lobby....
The pool which was listed as an amenity, was "under construction". I never saw a crew working on it....(my room was on the fourth floor overlooking the pool house.

I will say, the room was clean and comfortable with the exception for the pillows. (In all fairness, no hotel pillow is comfortable).

I've stayed at Wingate hotels before and their standards were a lot higher than at this particular one. If I was not in a jam I would have walked in and walked right out but after about two cans of Lysol I got some rest regardless to say I did not use the shower.

Worst hotel expirence ever. Someone literally got murdered in the parking lot the night we stayed. Other than that, terrible breakfast and dirty rooms, hallways, pool area. Pool and hot tub not worth the money. Incompetent staff, always respond not my job when asked to do anything. Stay ANYWHERE else.

Overall it just felt... Dirty. The bathroom floor on my room especially!

This was a decent place to stay, indoor pool and hot tub was down for maintenance at the time, but on the plus side, their complimentary breakfast was pretty good.

Very spacious rooms and the cleaning staff was great. The price was spot on for this hotel as it is dated with quite a bit of competition in the area. Good breakfast and very polite and helpful staff. This is a good extended stay option.

Several times there was no one at the front desk. The bathtub looked dirty, but was rust. $2.00 for a 12 oz can of coke is pricey. Breakfast was not very good..

A bit overrated on Priceline. Upkeep is slipping. Lumpy pillows were needing replacement. Attention to detail is not any longer apparent there. But then, the cost was not unreasonable for what you get.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the rooms were infested with bed bugs. We even trapped a live one in a bottle and handed it to the front desk staff. After they moved us to the second room and we discovered bed bugs in that room too, they refunded me immediately but didn t seem shocked or concerned about the bed bugs. I contacted OKC health dept after reading reviews of guests with similar experiences. It seems this is an ongoing issue and nothing has been done about it. <br/>Aside from the bed bugs, the stairway smelled like cigarette smoke, the ice machine was falling apart, the room keys did not work to open the back door or the side door by the pool, and there is very limited parking. Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone until all of these issues are addressed.

We left a purse at the hotel by mistake and when we went back for it $200+ were missing out of the purse. The employees said they found it and claim they didn t take the money and claim the cameras don t show the purse or the area the purse were in even though there were cameras everywhere.

Extremely clean rooms, maids did a great job. Head housekeeper was very helpful. Entire staff was awesome!
