Excellent buffer management for arriving passenger...
Excellent buffer management for arriving passengers. Compliments!
Excellent buffer management for arriving passengers. Compliments!
Although the huge number of passengers is noted in the capacity / functionality of the structure, the general level is similar to most other airports, including in some respects better.
I trust that with the planned expansion projects it will reach the top!
1 hour of waiting to deliver the luggage to my flight; if I can, I avoid this airport
Functional and comfortable airport, especially after the opening of the new car parks. Several bars and shops inside, well located check-in desks.
Discrimination between UE citizens, gates no. 19-22 being used for non-UE citizens and Romanians (now also for destination in UK after the Brexit)
I find it excellent.
It is not true that the toilets are dirty.
We always criticize the South, but go see the baths in Rome Fiumicino
Very badly organized, three flights to two counters. Staff rude and poor English. Never again if it can be avoided.
Very bad experience, they lost a suitcase from the rayanair flight, I go to inform myself with a baggage handler who says with sarcasm that it can happen, I fill out the file, the next day I try to contact all the numbers available at Catania airport and there is no natural person who can give me information on this type of service, not to mention rayanair who answer me from a Moldavian call center who can only tell you that the luggage was not found without being able to give any explanation, I am still waiting for an answer.
Last of many misadventures a bus driven by a rude driver who didn't turn on the air conditioning until we were leaving, even responding badly to the complaints of passengers. There were also those who were feeling bad. There were also no hammers to break glass in an emergency. I wonder what the labor inspectorate thinks ...
A shame as only in Sicily we know how to do.
To small to handle amount of passengers, long queues, almost missed flight.
I rented a car in Bergamo 8 months ago.
My journey has ended. I delivered the car.
Now Catania Europe car has withdrawn from my account again. I think be careful. Transactions were initiated over the bank.
Since November, the controls have been stricter, perhaps they should have been done last summer.
Dirty and badly organized. If I could I would avoid it
The airport is very small compared to the number of people it hosts and there is always a lot of confusion. Upon arrival you always have to wait a lot of time to get your bags back. Few shops and also expensive in the departures area. Badly organized also the parking area of suburban buses with a lot of dirt, little information and little space for buses that have to queue to get close.
Whilst our experience of the airport itself was fine, the airport lounge is shockingly inadequate. There is hardly any seating with only a limited selection of soft drinks and coffee available. As for food - a barely edible roll and some crisps. And once the rolls were gone, nothing else was forthcoming. Staff were less than friendly and left tables uncleaned. This should not call itself a lounge.
Very small airport. They havent heard of covid measures yet here.
Rude employees and they take their time to handle things. We arrived 2.5 hour before departure, but somehow we almost missed our flight.
We forgot to take the water out of the bag, they threw my boyfriend's bottle away, but I had to go through security check again. They wouldn't throw my bottle away, so I had to do it myself. It didn't make any sense. After that I had to wait in the long line again, because they wouldn't throw it away for me.
It improves from year to year, we are waiting for the train station
Modernized airport and now deserving of the name of INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT of Catania.
Well organized and clean.
Bad airport.
Check in 1/4 switches open with 90 minutes waiting time.
Baggage claim 60 minutes
No English
Airport chaotic, noisy, dirty. The obstinacy with which the passengers are forced to use the bus to reach the airplanes that are a stone's throw is incredible. Grueling passport control. From reviewing .....
To crowded, no place to sit, horrible food, I could go on. Sicily is nice though :)
Fatal airport queue huge for check-in luggage written with 3 points check-in and open 1. No wifi and therefore it is difficult to activate the application for tickets. Lack of places to sit and toilets in a terrible condition dirty lack of paper. Small restaurants stores. Checking in person is also a mess ... oh bad
No problems with the airport, but experience ruined by a school convoy of 150 students who vomit everywhere.
Really rude, arrogant and arrogant airport gate staff. With the sole aim of disassembling from the service. This is not working ... never again !!
Too confusing, not very polite at the entrance of the gates and pigeons circulating in the starting areas, will he be a pilot?
Lack of organization, no audio announcements and no one at the boarding gate at the assumed take-off time.
Small, clean, but very expensive! Spending two hours there begins to be challenging as it is devoid of entertainment; limited seating.
They adapted it to the covid need. Externally it looks good and well organized
Poor Wi-Fi, rude staff, a very dangerous junction at the Catania ring road exit.
Imagine the disorganization.
Then shape it into the shape of an airport.
And here is Fontanarossa
Fabulous scenery at the landing, when Etna bypassed!
Excellent airport with ever shorter waiting times at security gates and with very professional staff.
Crucial point for Sicily, the international airport of Catania serves eastern Sicily. There is everything necessary. At security gates, hostesses and stewards are very kind.
Modern, large, with various shops, Sicilian specialties before and after the gates
There are no connections and shuttles to reach other destinations for flights arriving after 9pm. Only very expensive private individuals.
Scandalous ... You can not contact anyone for an info ... Not even the customs answer ... Only in Italy things happen ... Shame
Catania airport has been renovated over the past 15 years and looks modern and medium in size.
The island's main airport, it has all the typical services such as shops, restaurants and fast food outlets and serves international destinations for traditional and low cost airlines.
In expansion with new terminals.
Reachable by taxi, shuttles, buses and city buses, it is very close to the city.
There are short and long-term parking, several car hiring and other services.
The worst airport I've ever had to take off from. Disorganized and overloaded. If I could I would give -100 stars
No identity check. Staff not friendly. WC not clean. No place to sit, it's tiny. Terminal C is worse than anything.
Few shops, but those that are there are very beautiful and characteristic.
Disorganization made flesh. You cannot enter before 2 hours from the flight. There are no bathrooms outside. There are 2 chemical and filthy ones. Gatherings outside, of course. My flight called 3 times in 3 different races. Staff giving incorrect information. Check in opened and closed and then reopened. A big mess. SUBZERO rating
Spacing not respected, temperature not taken. In Sicily they live in the third world.
Poor, dirty and total absence of assistance to the traveler ... there is no smoking area.
The toilets are dirty. The prices of the dutyfree are doubled.
Holding people at security for hours only opening 50 mins before flights departure to try and get about 1000 people through. Obviously lots of stressed customers worried about missing flights
By now insufficient for the amount of traffic. Often dirty bathrooms.
Make sure to arrive early, check in and security control can take a lot of time.
Airport terminal C (easyjet side) tiny and where baggage check-in is done at a counter without a hostess, which makes the wait all the longer (technical bugs of the car checkouts ...) and everyone to stick their own label on his luggage.
NO IDENTITY CHECKS, which seems absurd these days.
And if you were going to bring back some souvenirs, don't look for a duty free store after the baggage check. (Not even before elsewhere !!)
If you fly Ryanair be sure to register online. Otherwise, 55 euros will be taken off you at the counter.
Duty free is missing as a class. One store with exorbitant prices. Everything, including a cafe, is located before passport control. Therefore, pass it last
Third World Roads to reach it, terminal inaugurated in 2007 apparently built with quality from Third World as it rains in almost everywhere. Nothing surprising for charity, on the other hand we are in the Third World.
Service that manages shuttle bus cleaning should be changed. Bad image for all tourists.
Very beautifull!
Assistance for the disabled with kind, attentive, helpful staff.
Easy jet flight. Rude staff and lacking directions.
Poorly managed jobs, very old buses. Late baggage delivery always
A chaos, nothing signaled. If you return the .auto it is a riddle to know where. There is no information and the information posts are empty.
Is it so difficult to understand that in an airport it is necessary to have areas that allow easy unloading and loading of passengers?
Chaotic check-in, huge queues, a horrendously stressful experience.
The largest airport in the south.
In a few years it will be accessible by train and metro M
Easy to reach, large parking lots all for a fee, a little expensive dining area, poor hygiene. It remains the best airport in the south.
We are Sicilians, every trip the whole family picks us up at the airport! It is useless to narrow the streets and make flower beds and paid parking ... we are Sicilians! Leave room for families to hug each other !
Nice Airport, very conveniente, clean and organized, lots of food courts to eat
Very chaotic en bad airport. At specially terminal C is a disaster. Too small, long qeues. At 10.00h all croissants and sandwiches were sold out.
Evaluate an airport according to the quality of the cannoli .... good but not exceptional ... speaking of the airport it is small for the volume of passengers, slow and cumbersome boarding at the gates, even at security checks you lose a lot of time
Modern and rather new airport. Despite the "young age" it already shows signs of wear and tear. Absolutely chaotic both in the arrivals and departures area. It appears to be underpowered for the traffic it has to handle. The bathrooms are always dirty and smelly. In the departures area, once the checks have been passed, there are only a few small shops and the catering possibilities, although many, are all small, without seats and all offer the same type of products.
When there are a lot of people the feeling is that there is no air almost as if the air conditioning system is not adequate. When there are more flights departing, given the queues present at the gates it is difficult to walk.
