Disorganized and for luggage, you can expect 50 minutes

Fair airport, for now no particular problem. The C terminal works great and is new. The only flaw is always the waiting for baggage and clogging of the roller.

All went smooth even being in August which is a very hectic period. Make sure to be out in time as there are a lot of people flying from here especially during July and August. It is clean, good Ac and everything works, don't know why people complaint. There are not so many shops or restaurants.

Luggage lost, but then found. Lazy, do not want to work.

Horrible almost 2 hours check in while I checked in online .... The staff is uncompressed and its not barge while the airport is crowded !! Several shouting between the airport staff and the people in the queues ... A heat to die and not a single information desk. When we ask someone from the airport they send us completely walk ... No seat in front of the treats nor in the cafes nor anywhere in fact .... To avoid otherwise to envisage minimum 3 hours before your flight

Excess of advertising signage that makes the basic services almost invisible. Finding access to parking is a difficult task even worse in the dark and in the rain. Do us a favor, take away the amount of excess advertising signs and make everything else visible.

Clean and well-kept airport with excellent national connections

Nice airport. Clean and functional. Very easy to get to the right gate.
Car rental service at 100mt. Perfect.

Almost no shops on site. At most, you can buy something sweet and water.

This is one of the worst airports I have ever been. This is my third time here and it s always problematic. In essence, the airport is too small for the number of flights it has. The A/C can t handle the heat during summer because of the number of people. This situation is not likely to change because there is no signs of expansion here. The access to the airport is also terrible. In general, airports are connected by wide streets. Not this one. Be prepared to be frustrated.

Disorganization reigns supreme. The plane from Naples lands at 4:20 pm, luggage is delivered to us at 5:30 pm, only because we went to protest at the baggage counter and realized that they had forgotten them (to be correct "they were on the tape waiting for a OK "that watchman came instantly when we went to protest)

Catania international airport well organized and easily accessible.

Terrible airport. The ceiling leaks everywhere when it is raining and they just leave random buckets around catching water or huge puddles of water to slip on. There is not nearly enough bathrooms for the amount of traffic they have. There is also zero organization in terms of boarding. As soon as they put the flight info up at the gate everyone just swarms to stand in front of the gate blocking any flow of traffic to other gates.

Very bad. In addition to trashing me a stick of almond paste controls, flight of 1 hour and a half late, insufficient seats, pigeons flying and even with litters in ceilings, columns bad battery charging panels.

This airport is a cheeky incompetent staff and rude too! Toilets stink! Nobody speaks good English!

The first airport in the south as a passenger movement

Total confusion always. Little organized and little surface for the amount of seasonal flights.

The Airport is TO SMALL, Ques are to long! No trains, no Tube, Taxi very expencive.
Bus is okay but not descripted you have to discover it by your own it costs me 50 minuts.
People working in the airport are TO STRESSET.

The airport itself is ok, but getting to the car rental area outside of the airport is a nightmare. There is no sidewalk and you have to walk on the street between cars to get there. It is the labyrinth of dozens of small car rental booth.

A little sad to see it like this, if I think that last year, as today was the third / fourth airport in Italy .... hopefully everything will pass quickly ....

Beware they try to rip off the passengers to the suitcase switch .... Do the employees say that there is no tick in spite of existing ticks and you would have to buy a new one that would only bar !!! Open eyes!!!!

No luggage storage, so our visit to the city in the afternoon before departure was canceled. Seating for waiting goods. Competent info point not found. Check-in will be announced shortly before departure, so casual shopping in duty free is impossible. Overall not worthy of a European state.

My god... I travel a lot across europe but this one is really something.
People (at the airport I mean) are really NOT hiding their hate for tourists: disrespect, not polite, slow as hell... What a shame for such a wonderful country.
Special mention for the "Lost and Found": A friend of mine lost his case, got it LITERALLY 2 months later after threatening to involve the police.

Chaotic airport, scarce seating, standing waiting, no wifi. International airport?

The toilets at the departures are in a state of absolute abandonment or very little cleaning or maintenance.

Outrageous lack of organization and respect for its passengers. Two luggages of mine were broken due to terrible handling from the airport staff. When we asked if there was a damaged baggage form we could fill in, the airport staff told us there was nothing they could do. Rude, disorganized and unhelpful. The airport in general is furthermore dirty and dysfunctional.

After the works it becomes a bit difficult to find your way around to park the car even if there are signs, for the rest it must be said that the management of people inside the airport, as regards the coronavirus, is well controlled.

Assembly of passengers in the shuttle from the landing post, exit from the confusing and twisted airport. You don't understand anything anymore!

Catania airport is certainly one of the busiest in southern Italy and the most important in Sicily. From here many direct flights depart for several destinations. 2 terminals are currently active, one of which is entirely dedicated to the Easyjet company.

Well organized, but lately the scoreboard is not updated in real time.
My last bad experience. A plane from Luton was given 30 minutes late, and then arrived on time without the board being updated.

Lousy airport staff not professional organization absent

An undersized airport. Finding a place to sit is practically impossible ...
We were forced to wait for our flight. BAD !!!

For an international airport it is not the best, hitches both to get off the plane and for luggage .. Almost two hours between one thing and another. Inside the gate it is bare and there are no shops.

Bad food, facilities and pigeons in the departure area. There are only two places that sell food and both of them are extremely bad on quality and price. Better off getting the plane food. Same goes for the bathrooms. Though passably clean they include oddities such as seats with springs to keep them up. Plenty of security queues but staff are quite inefficient. Duty free not inspirational and prices similar to those in tourist shops outside. Also number of pigeons in the building with the departure area. Signs around the airport also need improving, especially with regards to designated rental car areas.

From a Korean perspective, this is not an airport. There is no chair to sit in, and there is a delay, and the bathroom is under construction, and the toilet is closed. I do not understand why Italy is G7. Al Italy is bad, but Catania airport is bad.

Small airport, easy to reach, many destinations, few shops and little cleaning.
Free Wifi.

Approach went noch.aber even after the approach, we knew not at all from where the city buses drove. Really confusing! When we wanted to fly back to Berlin Tegel the EasyJet plane was 4 hours late and there were hardly any seats everything was kaotic!

If you have a problem with your flight (missed the boarding, etc), there will be hardly 1/2 employees who can really help-understand you.

Efficient airport. The use of covered walkways for boarding and elimination of the bus service should become a rule

Bad management of departures when there are thunderstorms. We stayed on the plane for 2 hours, unable to take off, because the runway was flooded (with a summer storm ...).

The improvements are noted and are well evident. Many services improved, ditto for cleaning.

It's a very busy airport. Taxi, bus or rental cars (companies) can be reached and used in the immediate vicinity. The size of the building is manageable. As a passenger, you don't have to queue for long at the check-in counters. You can also get through the security area very quickly and relax and wait for your flight. Small restaurants or localities are available. Sufficient seating is provided for the travelers. Unfortunately, I was unable to test the Airport Lounge. It was simply delivered with a flower pot without notice or anything like that.

There is no logic to have passport control right to the gates. When you enter there is only shop nothing else and little seats to wait for the plane . The most of the shops and restaurants are before the passport control. Do not enter to the gates if you want to spend time in shopping and eating.

One of the worst I've ever seen. Bag drop was problematic as there was just one line for passengers needing to check in and for the ones already checked in online. The space in the gate was too small, with most people having to stand or sit on the floor. In one of the cafes that I visited many products were not available, especially the cheaper ones, not to my surprise. The toilets were not clean and there was no toilet paper. The personnel was unfriendly and they were unwilling to speak English. Ah, not to forget that there was no Wi-Fi.

Sunday 13 September only delirium cannot be accepted in a port like Catania

It is the worst airport in all of europe. The employee at this airport is also rude, ignoring customer requests and refusing to offer services anything.

I love my country that I am from Sicily.

Horrible experience.
1) Arriving at the Maggiore car rental drop-off at 7.15 pm with a two-year-old girl (two trolleys, stroller and car seat) we discover that the distance from the airport is 700 meters and no trolleys are provided.
2) Between drop-off time and walking distance, we enter the terminal at 20:00 where we find that all restaurants close at 20:00 and the only places to eat are at the gate: our hungry daughter.
3) After the queue for baggage drop, we arrive at the controls before the gate and we discover that there is a fast track for families but it cannot be used: 30 minutes of queue.
4) arrived at the gate we discover that the only places to eat are two very crowded bars without tables if not an area 2 meters x 3 meters with people crowded together: we take a tray and eat it on the waiting chairs with the child standing.

Thank goodness we have the Catania airport. What can we say, national and international hub for our travels outside our beautiful island.

The airport is too fast or too slow. Checks done well.

Very well organized airport, very well renovated and with lots of bars where you can find excellent coffee, ice cream and granita with croissants with the typical Sicilian cuisine. Shops with artistic ceramics from Caltagirone, pastry shop where you can find Sicilian cannoli with cream and almonds, with ricotta and chopped pistachios, Arancine with meat sauce, Norma, pistachio, spinach and butter. Lots of parking lots with an accessible price and bus connections.

Baggage arrived quickly, excellent customer service. Food & beverage is also excellent ... very low prices

Small provincial airport. This airport really doesn't have a few shopping opportunities to offer.
