2 Toilets for whole departure terminal it's seems like kind of joke! 40 minutes in queque! Seriously?!

Mediocre airport, cleanliness of the rooms very poor .. The airport is very small, this is not a good thing, seeing how they are reducing it and you think it is just over 15 years old.
Poor airport, poor room cleaning. The airport is very small but this is not bad, seeing how they are reducing it and you think it is just over 20 years old.
Paid parking is expensive (from 6 to 12 euros a day) and unattended, (the guards are there but do not take responsibility for damage or relief).
An internal regulation would be needed as in any other airport.
I have to give only 3 stars in this period the organization is a bit desired.
You can travel the world you arrive in Sicily and you have to make do with the wonderful airport but after 9 pm there are planes but not the connections with the rest of the island
International airport, large and used by several Italian companies, foreign and low cost with different shops and ample parking. Connections to Catania or other surrounding villages are provided by buses. Perhaps we should increase some service due to the turnout. In addition to the airport parking lots, for those who want to save a little, you can choose the parking spaces nearby that also provide the shuttle service.
It is not acceptable to wait passport control officiers to came to the shelters
Medium-sized airport, used by several low-cost airlines.
Inside there are several bars, good mobile recharge points.
Bad once inside and having passed the controls in the departure air there is no smoking area.
In line at passport control for 10 min. Huge line, nobody at control points, yes nobody. Gg italy
The airport is medium in size and there are several low cost airlines. Unfortunately a little flaw in cleaning and handling baggage.
Airport is too small for volume of travellers, nowhere to sit and can t move around freely because of lengthy queues everywhere. Enormous queues for anything to eat or drink. Passport control to board a flight to the UK, and nobody on the desk until 20 minutes before the flight with hundreds of passengers queuing in the already crowded terminal.
So I can not say anything negative. When we were there before 5 and again 3 days ago everything was fine. Check in was fast. When we arrived from Hamburg our luggage was within 10 min. On the band. Toilets were very More
Cool airport. Met my first Italian girlfriend here at the information desk. Took most of my flights from here to the rest of Europe. Great place, many memories for me.
I often travel to Catania and even in high season I have never felt bad, indeed always on time and without waiting too long for baggage or boarding. Perhaps the viability to get out is a little confusing. It can be reviewed in certain aspects (bathrooms and long-term parking) but it is close to the city and connected to the motorway. A subway / rail link would be desirable for infrastructure with these passenger traffic flows.
To be improved only with the controls, sometimes very rigid only because it grazes a few grams with the weight of the food
Endless time for waiting for baggage 40 minutes ... it lasted longer than the flight
One of the most beautiful ports of Italy .. not great but it is well done .. arranged on two levels .. well stocked bars and shops ..
Clean, small, well organized bus departures. Bar a little expensive.
Undersized airport and badly organized. Expected infinite waiting times.
Separate collection is carried out on the basis of color, without any explanation: the result is that everyone throws the waste at random
Little organized, exudes arrogance and lack of care. That being said it is the best in Sicily.
From the third world ... single entry for all. Gatherings galore ... temperature never taken ...
Alitalia flight to Malpensa .... scheduled time 16.20 late 2.5 hours do not deign to give a shred of information
Functional airport, with clear and precise indications, both for those arriving and for going to the city, and for those who must leave. Very good the Alibus service that takes you directly to the center, with intermediate stops. you can buy the ticket directly on the bus, at no extra cost.
Functional airport, with modern and efficient services.
The organization improves day by day, we hope it continues like this.
One of the major airports in Italy. Practical, rational, few frills.
One of the main Italian airports (second for national traffic and sixth for total traffic, data: Assaeroporti), recently enlarged with a new terminal and another in planning. It manages to handle the large amount of traffic fairly well, the services are clean, and it is well served at the level of shops and eateries (including a MacDonald's in the main terminal, and the prestigious "Antica Focacceria San Francesco" in the new terminal.) Several short and long-term parking lots are present near the terminals, and another 2 are under construction. In the future it will be served by a station on the extension of the Catania Metro.
Bad experience
No english
No priotities on check in for Star Alliance
And Skyteam members
The airport in not big, and during the summer there are a lot of people. The information desk is outside of arrivals gate (on the left) and in front you will find some bars and different rents cars.
They even forbid bottles of water because they consider them dangerous but the ones you buy in bars and especially on the plane are not dangerous?
In my opinion they do it to get rich by selling water at the bar and what do you think And then they smashed a suitcase that survived 10 trips and broke the handle of another one, I will never go back even for free do not do this error
And as for the plane (ryanair) they sell expensive, miniature drinks and food and the pilots make lousy landings
Check in is fine on normal days. But chaotic during pick season. Shopping is pretty good. Restroom dirty most of the time. Connection with Catania are ok. Parking too.
Long queue to security, but rather quick screening.
I advise you to ask first when it costs what you have to order. His job was to rob clients with little vasoline and always draw right. I asked please let me have two coffees and before drinking I said when I cost two coffees six euros and coranta cents. I didn't pay or drink. Miracomando ask and check the prices.
Long waiting times for check-in and bag drop! We queued for 1.5 hours to check in our luggage. At least 30 people were waiting behind us. They can hardly make it to the plane on time if only 2 counters are manned at check-in.
It may be Corona-related precautions, but this was not the case in Munich, for example. In addition, hand luggage is not carefully checked. I accidentally left a 1.5 l bottle in my hand luggage, but my bag was waved through in the scan without any problems. Only then did I accidentally discover the bottle. Unfortunately, nobody here attaches importance to compliance with the corona-related safety distances, they stood close together. In addition, it is not checked whether masks are worn.
You can find ALIbus outside airport building to go down of Catania.
Chaos during check in, chaos during security control, afterwards siting on stairs and floor like homeless! Welcome to 21st century and toilettes without any comment!
All this at around 30deg. Celsius, air-condition not working.
By far the most worst airport I have ever visited.
Old airport, they should be somewhat modernized even if bathrooms and some shops are quite modern
Well connected to the city! You only need to take the bus by bus and in less than half an hour you are in the center of Catania!
Medium-sized airport quite modern and with bathrooms equipped .. few shops and a bit crowded but all in all acceptable
Everything seems ok but many shortcomings: there are no outdoor cafes for those waiting for arrivals. There are no external toilets, and there is no display for aircraft arrivals outside. Too much wise.
It's an airport ... what more can we say? Unfortunately, it is sometimes subject to closure due to Etna ...
No air conditioning in the summer, nn is the maximum for such an important airport. Quite chaotic in the departure area.
Remained the size of 20 years ago, without adapting to the exponential increase of passengers. Chaotic at any time, non-existent assistance staff. Recent new fully automated departure terminal, without personnel for assistance. A single road to reach it with always intense vehicular traffic. Need to leave home at least 3 hours before departure. Adjacent car parks always full with rates higher than those of Positano. Baggage collection from Third World, with a minimum waiting time of 30 minutes. In short, the airport to be avoided!
Airport is way to small for the amount of flights coming in and out.
One of the worst airport ever. Customer care doesn t exist, rude staff (typical).
Very bad organization, no seat in the boarding area and extreme slowness in the procedures.
Long long wait to get through passport control, flight was held up for over an hour waiting for everyone to get through. Only 3 people working on passport control, appeared to be very slowly. Pleased Tui/Thomson flight waited for everyone.
VIP Lounge - not worth going in to unless you are not paying. Member of staff working on 18th April obviously wasn't happy, very limited food, coffee in a small plastic cup, limited space to sit down, had to say went you wanted to use the toilet so the door could remotely opened, seat wouldn't stay down (great idea for mens toilet) you had to try and hold it down as you tried to sit on it, not ideal.
All in all not a great experience at Catania
A thin long single terminal, Sundays are the busy days so can be crowded but once through a fair selection of duty free and food outlets for an airport of this size
40 minutes waiting for a security check where you risk losing your flight. Airport with undercarriage, there are no columns to recharge the phone / computer, route to / from the car parkings are difficult to understand and relatively far.
Still many aspects to improve for being a European airport.
Well organized and conceived in a perspective worthy of international importance
Like many airports, long queues everywhere. However, what distinguishes this airport is that the toilets are unusable - both sides of passport control. Filthy and broken. I would add that flight information is sporadic, with announcements unintelligible and display boards not available where they are needed.
Great disorganization, few checks on people walking without masks inside the airport, the girl at the American Express counter with a lowered mask, no one from the security calls her, a person who works inside the airport is very at risk if he does not use adequate precautions dangerous for her for all those who turn around. Unfortunately we are in Sicily the law is an optional to be applied to some and to exempt others.
Practical, at the exit of the airport, modest price to get to the center of Catania
HORRIBLE!
Our flight was cancelled and the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. An awful situation for a person stuck in a foreign country. Beyond that it's overcrowded and there is no where to eat. I am currently using my 4g because even the WiFi doesn't work.
I advise everyone avoid this airport!
Nice and clear airport with direct connection to many rental car providers. Hit: MAGGIORE (but very long wait in front of the counter), Hertz, SIXT. The Ristorante in the airport building was rebuilt in 2018. Happy to visit it this year ... (-;
Airport undersized for passenger flow, long lines at check-ins, long lines at baggage checks, long lines at boarding, in short, if you can arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before boarding time.
All topped off with the obvious measures for covid-19.
Avoid buying food, it costs 3 times more and is not good. Thieves
They changed the name ... but otherwise worse ... think of an area in front of the departures terminal where the accompanying cars could stop ... without blocking the traffic ... that would be too much. Arrivals only a small parking lot with 2 euros per hour ... if it is full you have to do hundreds of meters with your luggage.
Good airport, but circulation with insufficient parking spaces
To improve the organization in departures. I was pleased that there were staff who checked that the passengers were wearing a mask.
Very organized for tampons. Congratulations and thank you
Scheduled flights are handled in most cases with punctuality. Discreet location and availability of parking. The ancillary services are just adequate.
Worlds worst airport, will never fly too from again. 2 hours in passport queue, no organisation from airport staff, too busy walking around talking to each other. Planes delayed due to airport incompetence. A true embarrassment to Sicily and Italy.
Well organized, the staff is very helpful for any assistance. It is structured on two levels and offers most of the services needed for travelers.
Long queues everywhere.
Someone should tell them that the UK has not left the EU yet.
First, a long wait to check-in.
The security, not to bad, just a bit disorganised.
But then a massive queue to get through passport control. They spent ages checking every passport for UK bound flights. Very odd as when entering sicily they hardly bothered looking and it took seconds.
The result was a lot of passengers late for flights.
Excellent, except at the boarding gate, chaotic at that time and somewhat disorganized, but I repeat to say only about the time of boarding, distances not respected and poorly controlled.
The airport terminal was neglected and dirty. 1 toilet facility with 3 toilets each for women and men. These were hopelessly overcrowded ... long lines ... congested and dirty. On the other hand, Sicily insists on strict corona rules ... something doesn't fit here ... with the high number of passengers it was impossible to keep a distance.
Corona sends its regards
The baggage claim took 3/4 of an hour.
A small (by Moscow standards) airport, everything you need is there. Buses and rents are nearby and conveniently located. There is a large shopping center Porte di Catania near the airport, if you have time before departure, you better spend it there.
Nice and clean, but really too small to ensure spacing in always overcrowded flights. Every 2 minutes the announcement of the social distancing starts, while you are there waiting with other 150 people, crammed like chickens in a cage, for the opening of the boarding, already considerably late. One of the Easyjet 2846 flight attendants had fun placing spacing posts, taking up even more space than the little available. Seriously?! The usefulness of this operation has not been received, since it is not possible to maintain the distance neither at the airport, nor during boarding, nor on the flight. Another useless operation, but also badly managed in this airport, is the call by file. Hallucinating, slow and meaningless. The plane left almost 40 minutes late. They also carried out this operation on the first leg, at Malpensa, but there was no delay.
Bad road conditions for being Sicily's main airport ...
Used to fly with Ryanair for the holidays, perfect on arrival and departure, with a dedicated line for families with children and strollers in tow.
Better management of parking lots and electric charging stations could be a plus.
No problem ... coffee, cannoli, etc. Excellent also at 6 am!
