One of the bad airports ever! Unfortunately, there is no signposting where to find the transfer buses, which transfer bus from Ryanair is and where to get in. No one speaks English .. full of jokes. Buy better locally tickets to Catania, cost the same price and at least you know exactly which company should carry him.

Modern and bright, very large, it has a large number of flights to all parts of the world in fact it also carries out international flights as well as within the Italian border.
Given the large number of flights at peak times, there is a lot of confusion at the controls; but it flows fast enough.
Competent and always available staff.
As a last taste of Sicily passed the checks we find shops and bars that offer very good typical products and live up to expectations.
The only flaw, but it is normal inside an airport, the prices are a bit high.
Eye sometimes you can meet the third type with some pigeons.

Arrived there from Stuttgart for business trip, the airline lost my bag, tried to go to the lost and found but it wasnt possible cause they dont have service from 1pm to 7pm.
Since I had to leave for work I couldn't return at 7pm to get service.
I explained my situation several employees of the airport and they simply said, I dont care.
What a horrible experience!!!!!!!!

It would be a good airport (it lacks points to recharge the smartphone, bars are an optional) but due to COVID the accesses have been rightly limited .. Then you have to equip the airport with external reception facilities (read benches and the like) and others rest and refreshment places. The only bar outside the airport is to be considered disgraceful for the service and dirtiness. I recommend walking a few hundred meters to find a really welcoming bar (Parisi)

One of the worst airports I have ever been to
-Long queues: only 2 or 3 (out of 10) working security gates for 300 people. The officers seem more interested in talking to each other than in doing their jobs.
-Hot, stuffy, dirty and full of flies
-Not a lot of options, and everything is pretty expensive
-No one seems to have any notion of B1 English

An airport that is really far too small for far too many guests!
You mostly sit on the floor, as there are only 20 seats per gate!
Almost all flights come and go with a delay because the capacity is almost exhausted!
Unloading and loading luggage in vehicles is a disaster, as there are no real parking spaces in front of the entrances and exits! It is a hopeless mess of parking in the handicapped, - taxi places as well as in the stopping ban!
Luggage trolleys are pretty rare and wrapping the suitcase in foil costs 10 euros !!!!
My conclusion: absolute chaos

providing drinking water in a public area is a basic human right in the EU, not a privilage. This is 2019! The airport stuff do not speak English at all, and showing a lack of any compentence. Dirty and overcrowded, not enough sitting area. This is not service providing.

TERRIBLE service. The Lost & Found office is virtually non existant, staff is obviously incompetent and unmotivated. Our luggage did not arrive on our PARIS - CATANIA flight, but luckily was sent out the next day. It would have saved our trip had Lost & Found bothered to answer the phone. 12 days have gone by and we are back from holiday, still no luggage, airline say they have tried contacting Catania airport's Lost & Found 5 times but no luck. Would have given 0 stars if I could.

One of the worst airports I've seen. Allow 1 hour to collect your luggage on arrival .. and do not talk about the return.
With easyjet plan to arrive at least 3 hours prior to your departure. The C terminal is exclusively reserved for easyjet but you must be self-sufficient .. Only 1 staff on site. You must register alone. And do a queue at least 2 hours. Pitiable ... that explains the price of the ticket .. We can not have everything

The "new" terminal C for easyjet is a joke ... check-in takes hours because the machines are insufficient and the assistance of the staff is too little.
Nobody checks the documents and once you have passed customs, there is just a small bar taken by storm!
For any last minute purchases, there is nothing, zero !!
Thanks Catania Airport and thanks Easyjet! A low cost service in all respects!

One of the worst experiments.
The cleaning, especially adjacent to the various bars and pastries and absolutely an optional, the filth also attracts the numerous pigeons (INSIDE THE AIRPORT !!!!!) translating it into a square in the open air !. The bathrooms are dated with a superficial cleanliness, the limestone deposits above the taps.
The nin seat seating is not enough for the passengers of a single flight !.

The only airport in the world where passengers arriving from Istanbul as soon as they cross the walkway from the plane to the airport station must put their hand luggage in an obsolete and dilapidated device resulting in traffic jams and huge losses of time. But don't you have better things to do? What is the point of checking a piece of baggage that has been checked at the entrance to Istanbul airport and then before boarding? Ah ridiculous !!!

Airport dirty, raining inside, unfriendly staff. I was verbally assaulted by an Alitalia operator for exchanging a suitcase gauge for a garbage can (I really thought it was a garbage can!). She hastily and loudly addressed me in front of people in row at check in.

I frequent this airport a lot and for several years, I have noticed many improvements but what never changes is the rudeness of the staff assigned to the checks for boarding: arrogant, presumptuous and not at all available. They seize everything and then sell the same things as soon as they pass the control, absurd!

Absolute shambles. Everyone seems to work at their own pace, which happens to be very slowly.

It took us nearly an hour to get through security on arrival.

On departure, the easyJet check-in queues were probably 2 hours long. Fortunately, we eventually got fast-tracked via the speedy boarding machines (which we vacant the whole time) so we didn't miss our flight. Also, some work was being done on the taxiway (or something) which delayed our already heavily delayed flight.

The lifts are not suitable for people with luggage.

The toilets are gross.

I'd criticise the WiFi, but I'd run out of patience to fight with anything else.

Chaos in the mini parking area of departures, little signage for the parking area.
Little cleaning. Cell phone charging stations crowded and with no seats nearby.
With a few small changes it could become a jewel.
