It is a small airport, it is not modern but it works according to the population of Sicily. We know that Sicily is very touristy and this airport serves as an entrance and exit and I think they could build or remodel it to give a better view to the tourist.
In normal conditions things work but must modernize according to many airports in Europe.

I booked EasyJet, so I had to go to Terminal C. It's an easy-to-use terminal, so small that there was a check-in counter and a small cafe, and there was a small cafe and duty-free shop in the boarding area. The security search also started two hours before departure. I waited three hours outside and expected it to connect with Terminal A, but the boarding area was really small. It was annoying because of my luggage, so I arrived 5 hours before the departure. Angry.

Airport was not open even though it stated online that it is open 24. Im sorry but im really not happy with waiting outside in the cold.

Cause covid it is not possible to access it except for departure. Waiting for your loved ones outside can be a solution but a panel to display flights (landed or delayed) would have been sooooo welcome.

Like any airport. This one is small but nice everything goes smoothly. Staff helpful.

Dirty place and no information. Very arrogant and unhelpful staff. We had to fly early in the morning so we had arrived at the airport well in advance. They made us wait outside in the cold.

For international flights, worst treatment ever. Standing for more than one hour for passport control while going for EU country. Only 2 Police men at the checkpoint with not much speed for processing. Overall very poor Airport.

One of wprst I have ever experienced . First you are bussed into the terminal. Then you are delayed forever for passport check. Appearntly they have decided to have one border police checking and then a few more joined . The pace was extextrem slow and the passengers were very unhappy. They basibasic have all the time in the world . LetLe hope that Cecily will be much betbet

Really is a bad airport compared to others. McDonald's and other cafe before security. You can charge phones in McDonald's.

After security there is not much seating..so just hoards of people. And some expensive shops (not duty free). Toilets are not clean and toilet paper not found in many of them, so check before those number 2's.

Duty free shop only in gates 20 to 22 (after passport control) small shop and prices not great but you could definitely pick up a bottle of alcohol for a decent price if deals are on. Otherwise prices seem fairly the same.

Air conditioning not working in some parts and staff seem rude.

The APP is absolutely inadequate as I was able to experience even today. The Ryanair flight from Turin with scheduled arrival at 15.50 was considered on time until 17.30; at that time the delay was reported.

You can enter the airport only 2 hours before your flight maximum due to the covid. My rating is not final, I especially want to prevent, rather than people moving unnecessarily

Talking on the phone with customer care is impossible. They never answer.

Modern structure, ample space and various services present in this important Sicilian airport. There is no lack of fast food, pasticerie ice cream parlors with which to deceive waiting times. There are also shops with typical Sicilian products. Security checks are over (which are meticulous and fast) you can embark by bus or direct access. It is connected by bus not only with the city center, but also with the most important Sicilian cities. There are several guarded parking lots, even if very spartan and essential. access is simply, horrible, badly kept, dilapidated houses, rubbish on the ground and undergrowth .... Incredible !!

The airport does not offer any service during the night hours, even the internal McDonald's closes at 21.30. During the covid period, access to the airport is also allowed only three hours before the flight departure (information that can be discovered directly on the spot) and therefore it is absolutely not possible to spend the night there. This thing creates an infinite crowd both at the entrance to the airport (where the tickets are checked one by one) and during the controls which at this point become slow

I had the misfortune of having to deal with Mrs. Di Salvo, feeling the sheriff of the situation blocked all those who passed by his gate, looking for any excuse to charge the bags, while half a meter his colleague did not even look at the luggage size. The "lady" has also allowed herself to offend me personally by saying that fortunately people like us leave Sicily not considering that if the "lady" has a salary and pays her bills thanks to us passengers. I will also report the incident to the easyJet company which should more accurately view who represents them.
Ah, I also conclude by stressing that the flight started with an hour of delay, therefore a double disruption.

Nice, large and bright international airport. The arrivals on the ground floor, with chairs, bathrooms and shops. On the first floor the various check-ins and checks. Upstairs are the gates, with other shops and bars. Clean but wet rooms without water. A bit of disorganization.

Living in Messina, it has been my airport of reference for several years. I must say that I have never had major problems, if we leave out some delay but always for reasons related to the companies. But I admit that it should be improved. It is a decidedly inadequate airport for the huge traffic of travelers that has been recorded for some years now. It is certainly not at the level of other international airports.

Past the security check it is very crowded, there are not enough seats therefore many travellers have to stand. There is no potable water inside, neither water fountains nor at the toilet sink taps, your only option is to buy a 50cl bottle for 1,75. No air conditioning, it feels hot.

Bad in everything.They made 2 kids pay for their first flight experience from sol8, x 2 small backpacks 120 euros.I understand that the extra baggage is paid but 120 euros is exaggerated.Since they were 2 shy and polite kids, they could at least propose to put one backpack inside the other and pay only 60 euros, instead they make money at the expense of inexperienced, young and shy kids.

An airport in full development, located in the most beautiful city in Sicily, Catania. The number of passengers, that of parking lots, is growing and the whole structure is growing. The runway will also grow soon and at that point the whole airport will take off.

Amazing how an airport can be so badly organized and staff completely helpless in front of the crowd. 4 flights at the same time including 2 late which delayed the other 2 flights. No announcements no communication on delays just apologies etc there are young children in this crowd no gesture no organization ... EasyJet should look into this point ... I will never come back to this airport this is a disaster

Nothing to do with other much busier airports, but it serves almost every national and international destination.

Externally for departures and arrivals, parking must be limited to a few seconds, otherwise it is better to opt for paid parking. Inside there are several dining options and clean toilets. After 8 pm the flow of travelers is attenuated and regular. It turns out to be a good connection point for eastern Sicily.

Overstrained employees allow everything to pass as hand luggage at check-in, which leads to absolute chaos on the plane. English rather difficult. Motivation leaves a lot to be desired.

We have recently landed in Catania, a well-organized airport. immediately outside terminal A, you can ask for information and buy tickets for buses that serve many cities: Palermo, Siracusa, Ragusa, Modica, Gela, Niscemi, Taormina, etc.

If you have to leave there are stations to recharge your mobile phone. Something that is not found everywhere. The food is also good although more expensive. Too bad that one takes a long time to check in. Even for the security check one takes longer. Atrention for smokers. Smoking rooms do not exist.

The worst airport in the world two hours to drop a checked bag and nearly a lost flight.

small airport, I have been there a little but it seems well structured

Atrocious! We arrived at the airport 2 1/2 hours in advance. The queue was unique for all destinations. Endless! We lined up with 3 small children. The plane left at 1.30pm and we were boarded at 2.20pm. The staff circled among the people, calling out flights to let the people who had the departing flight pass first.
