I was there with a friend and his lift ticket tore off. We had the receipt and pictures of him with the ticket and they still charged us for another ticket. Granted it was a little less than half price but I still thought it was ridiculously bad customer service. Mostly because the first thing out of the manager of the whole Mountains mouth was I can't help you we don't replace tickets I just thought that was ridiculous

Best place to go skiing. It is only like 10-15 minutes away from my boyfriend cabin. This place got me on blue runs and help get me in my new skis. It is a small ski resort. I am from utah and I think it matches up to some of the utah resorts. I love how quiet it is and how friendly everyone is. I made friends with the lift guy. I am very pleased with this resort.

Double charged me and I cannot get ahold of anyone. I thought that maybe it just automatically did that when it was pending but then I called my bank and they said that it was all on their end. Read some of the bad comments and I m seeing a lot of this happening. Needs to change and they need a direct customer service instead of just giving an email that they never answer...0 stars!

The mountain might be pretty but it wasn't worth the experience I had. Plenty of other pretty mountains around the country, enough to avoid this place.

I got a massive grease stain on my brand new ski jacket from leaning back on one of their lift chairs. I have never experienced anything like this at any ski resort in the 20 odd years I've gone to ski resorts. I sent them an email about it and instead of looking into cleaning their seats so that future guests do not suffer the same fate, I got a response amounting to a virtual shoulder shrug. No plans to ever return, place is dirty.

The ticket office is janky -- they only had one computer available at the front desk to handle rentals. Additionally, one of their three computers for registration went black halfway through our party's registration so we had to start over on the computer adjacent.

The lifts are uncomfortable at loading and unloading, and the lift at the beginners area on the north-ish side of the mountain had no safety bar, which is bizarre.

The weather was perfect and the place itself is a great place for beginners. That is if the magic carpet is running, which it was not when we went. There were also no instructors, as their website indicated there were. My advice, make sure if you're expecting a 10am lesson, you call first.
The staff on the ground was very helpful with tips on how to better ride.

Update: Second time here was much better. Will at the front desk was very helpful. He seemed to know more about what was going on than the last person we spoke to.
We had to wait awhile for the lesson, but it wasn't a terrible wait. They do after all have a bar upstairs.
Kip was able to give my friend and I a lesson and he was great! Very patient and a great teacher.

Willamette Pass is a great little mountain. When the snow is good (which is more often than not) it rivals most resorts I have visited. I feel blessed to have a legit place to ride that's so close to my home. Keep up the good work!

Great family ski area! Instructors are great, not too crowded, process are reasonable, Lodge is well maintained, parking is free and plentiful, and staff is friendly.

My only complaint is that staff is so relaxed that safety doesn't seem to be a huge concern. Additionally, there seems to be a shortage of ski patrolers.

Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back.

Just 2hrs from Eugene.

I really love the people at Willamette pass. They are so friendly. I have the best luck at Willamette pass too. The weather is always great and the snow has been too. I have the worst luck at hoodoo. It is always raining when I go to hoodoo. I know they have no control over that but if you are superstitious then go to Willamette pass. Every year I take a trip with college buddies to the nicest resorts around - Vail, Park City, big sky, Whistler, etc. And even though these resorts are huge, the lines are just as huge. I get more runs in at Willamette pass because I never wait in line at the lift. And I would trade the fancy lodges and yuppy food for smaller lines any day.

My favorite place to ski in Oregon.

My favorite place to ski in Oregon.

I tried at Hoodoo (bunny hilly was too flat).
Bachelor was too crazy busy and intimidating.

I really learned to ski here and have skied here the last 3 seasons. I have taken a couple of lesson every year and love the ski school (private lesson are $65, less than group lessons at Bachelor). The resort is never crowded, and the terrain is great and allows me to consistently progress and challenge myself. I know there's also tougher terrain my husband skis, but for me the green runs on Twilight and the long blue runs off the Eagle lift are just perfect. Staying nearby at Odell lake is super convenient too.

Also I can say, based on what I saw on 1/8/2021, they are taking covid seriously. The staff all wear masks, you can only order take out food to go, and I saw the staff asking guests to wear masks in lift lines, and they were consistently cleaning off surfaces when I used the restroom. Thank you WP!!!

Great mountain! I've been a season pass holder for years and consider Willamette Pass to be my happy place. They have a great blend of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. As an advanced snowboarder, I'm more than satisfied with their technical steep tree runs, cliff drops and epic vistas. Bang for your buck, Willamette Pass is the resort and an easy drive from Eugene, OR.

If you live in the Eugene area Willamette Pass and Hoodoo are pretty equal distance and both are great quality for the price. I've found Willamette Pass to be a little more snowboard friendly due to Hoodoo having a lot of flat spots on the top of runs. But again, both are great places to ski!

This place was so poorly managed. The employees didn't know any information about the equipment or the trails or even the payment information. We had to figure out our own skii and pole size. The employee didn't have the measuring chart. What really topped it off is that we paid $27 for the combo deal which included the equipment rental and the day pass. When we got to the Nordic trail it was completely ungroomed. We paid for a trail that should have been taken care off and we got a trail that seemed to just be part of the forest. Should have gone to Hoodoo

Great terrain for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers alike. Even on busy days there's no line for the lifts. The bunny hill at hoodoo is terrible because it's so short and flat kids never learn to turn on it because they bottom out.

Sleepy Hollow is a perfect pure beginner run because it isn't too steep but you have to make a couple turns. The other green runs are a great way for kiddos and new adults to build confidence and challenge themselves and they are segregated away from blues and blacks so my kids don't have to worry about making a wrong turn or dealing with hot shots whizzing by.

I say this as someone teaching a 6, 9, 11 and 35 year old to ski (3 daughters and wife). Willamette is perfect for us . Plus I can make a couple quick runs to the top and enjoy long groomed blues, steep black runs, or great hidden routes through the trees.

P.S. Best bluebird powder day of my life on 2/16/2020.

Whether you want to take a summer hike or do some winter skiing or snowshoeing, Willamette pass has it. While taking a break from skiing, there is the upstairs area where you can get a beer, or go to the cafeteria and get some food. food is pretty basic and more cafeteria style. There are many runs all with various experience levels. Lift passes are reasonably priced and can be purchased in the Eugene area ski shops.

Fantastic little resort. Not a destination, for certain, but friendly staff, beautiful views and green thru black diamond terrain make this a great local local choice for the Willamette Valley. I went on a blue-bird day in December, with powdery snow conditions and warmth that led to my removing my snow jacket. Does it get better?

Nice mountain near Eugene, cheaper passes. Good place to play in the snow! But.... They don't open some years due to snow (understanable) but they won't let you use their parking lot to hike or enjoy the mountain even though it's huge, empty, and plowed.. I parked in it anyways because I wasn't going to park on the side of an icy highway and the employee tried locking my car in the lot without saying anything while I was 10 feet away... Glad I asked about parking options or he would have trapped me in over night... Just a bit crazy..

Well today was my birthday and I was looking forward to a ski, I've been working long hours and this was the first time I had to go up. Much to my dismay I was turned away. I knew from spring skiing last year that only credit cards were accepted and I checked the web site before I drove up to check conditions. I saw nothing about the hourly rates being discontinued. I implore you please please reinstate this pricing. As I mentioned I am 62, I have a fake hip and can only ski 2 or 3 hours. I am on a pension, I was working on a rental I'm fixing to sell-Covid and eviction amnesty has threatened my income therem so time to cut my losses and sell. I live in Oakridge and last season was able to go up 2 to 3 times a week, with my partner. I know this extra income to you probably doesn't matter to you but we can't afford the 60 daily fee. It would be great if you could lower your senior daily ticket age to 62 or please please please reinstate the hourly rate. WE love to ski and love your resort.
Best Wishes,
Judi Jeanotte

I tried to send this in your contact info via your web site but it said I was forbidden and I needed to reach out I regret it was in this public forum

It is a great place to ski, but this year (2018) they are not keeping their websites current conditions up to date and its difficult to find when they will be open. I check most of the ski resorts/ mountains weather status daily and something happened to theirs. Mt Ashland to south is open, Hoodoo to the north is open yet they are closed. It make people wonder if they are going out of business. Today's Oregon Tripcheck weather station at Willamette Pass shows 44" of roadside snow and 29 degrees. Yet the last snow report on their site is from 2/9 which is 19 days ago and their site says they need more snow to open. I have skied their with that much snow before. Something is up.

Took my son up there paid for the tickets and a rental they didn't have the gear for him so I asked for a refund since we never touched a lift. I was told I would get one. Well it's been about a month I've emailed and called and they continue to ignore me. Very disappointed have been coming here for years but the costumer service has gotten so terrible I'll drive the distance to go somewhere that's honest.

It is unfortunate that I had to write such a poor review but I think Google clients should be aware. The owner/management of the Willamette Ski Resort is incredibly rude and their guest customer service is unsatisfactory, to say the least. Several people were in line in front of me. Those who had any "problem" were forced to wait until the entire line diminished before they could receive an audience with the grandmaster (owner - Tim). We were one of those affected. The owner refused to look up my online order. He forced me to go find internet service (which there was none available at the ski resort at the time) to get my online order number. When I returned, he continued to be rude to me telling me he could not honor the terms of our passes without paperwork. They would not tell me where in the mountains I could go to where there was a printer available. They would not print the papers for me. I found internet again and tried to download the "paperwork" to fill out - so I could drive to a place with a printer to print it out. The download had expired. I went to guest services again. There was a woman named Rachel there. I waited until NOONE was in the room to ask questions. She was irritable and easily agitated when I asked for her help. She started raising her voice at me simply because I wanted to know WHEN she could email me the forms. I had already explained to her that I was going to drive to find a printer somewhere so I could fill out the "paperwork" and return today before they closed. This way, we didn't have to wait in line again tomorrow. Tim (later identified as the owner) came in and said that there was no way they would be able to make me happy or satisfy me. I tried rationally to explain that all I wanted was to have someone email me the forms I needed to download and print out. Again- there were no other customers in guest services. He told me I needed to leave. Out of fear that he would make my entire family leave, I walked out. But I felt very angry that neither one of them would tell me when they would have time to email me the documents that they wanted me to fill out for our season passes. I still don't understand why he couldn't print them for me and hand them to me when there was nothing else going on later in the day. The restaurant and lounge were very nice. Food was not bad. Erin and Greg at the lounge gave excellent service. Sarah (ski instructor) did a terrific job with my girls who took a day lesson. And Gene and others in the ski rental area were nice as well. So- bottom line- if I could possibly avoid the absolutely miserable experience when first walking in the door to get our tickets- I would have given the place 5 stars. I can only imagine how nice of a reputation Willamette Pass would have if they had a better owner/management hierarchy. Honestly, if we hadn't traveled 15 hours from the south to come here to meet 16 other family and friends (for a vacation I set up), I would have taken our family elsewhere to a ski resort that cares about their clients.

I updated my review to include an extra star for customer service because of the excellent service we received in rentals from Will and Roger. Will was fantastic and really seemed to care about the clientele. He went over and above to make sure our experience was pleasant and the kids were attended to quickly and proficiently. I don t want to forget to mention Paul, who generally worked down at Sleepy Hollow or the Magic Carpet. (Fantastic places for new skiers). He was patient, friendly, helpful and always had a new piece of advice that really helped make us better skiers. It seemed everyone in the line knew who Paul was. He is just that special! It s people like him - and many other employees there- that make me think it s only the owner that makes the sauce spoil. Otherwise it would be a really neat little gem of a ski lodge.

I grew up skiing here and have always loved it. What I like most is the small local feel and variety of terrain. Most of the runs are nestled in the trees, and I really love to ski the powder. I have many fond memories of the area and I get to relive them every time I'm there! Beautiful panoramic views, great skiing, well maintained and groomed runs and friendly staff. It only takes me just about an hour to get there from Eugene so I get a great deal of skiing in. LOVE IT!!!!

Amazing mountain & beautiful views! Only wish the wait time to get tickets wasn t so long. Understandable of why it was so long since the technology used to check in and print tickets is so out of date. We went on a Saturday after a major snowfall and watched so many cars get turned away due to no more available parking spots in the two lots. Overall great time though!
