Low key, locally-owned spot. The mountain is just big enough and a relief from the zoo at Hood and Batchelor.

No crowds, no long lines. A hidden gem after a snowfall. Staff are great and all COVID measures are taken seriously.
Friendly people and great value for the price. If they put one more chairlift in with intermediate through advanced terrain I would never ski anywhere else. Hope they go back to the 2 hour minimum lift tickets next year, I am getting older and that was perfect for me.
Nice snow, lifts, and runs, but no comfortable seating in the lodge (stools only). A bit overpriced, in my opinion.
My wife and I went to Willamette Pass for their Nordic Skiing and had a very fun time. It wasn't excessively expensive, the trails were good, and the mountain is beautiful.
There were a few negatives, though some of it may have been the late season day when we went (Feb 4). We went on a Saturday, and the lodge was not that warm, there was only one person at the ticket counter, the trails weren't really groomed (and they tilted downhill pretty significantly), and the pro shop was closed.
It had a very relaxed atmosphere, which was nice, but where the relaxed atmosphere at Hoodoo was accompanied by the necessary staff and amenities, that was not so clear at Willamette Pass.
But I'm willing to go back and change my review; everyone has off-days, and we had a very nice time.
Good ski resort for the money. Easy slopes for the beginners and tough face courses for experienced skiers. Nice big lodge for kicking back and warming up.
So many great childhood memories of calling 345-SNOW at the crack of dawn, hoping for powder.
Cheap and close to Eugene
Had a great ski day December 2016. They had about 10" of snow in the previous two days. The views from the top of the high speed lift were phenomenal. Room for improvement on the food. Staff were friendly and when I rented skis I was outfitted in the owner's former boots.
The mountain is great, few crowds, and the staff are nice, BUT don't rent here! We waited 2 hours to rent and in an unsafe Covid environment.
Being quick down and up again is great. Good snowboarding.
A great, cheap place for skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. I consider their Nordic Ski trails to be on par or even better than the ones at Hoodoo, and the price is competitive. However, the Nordic trails aren t always groomed and the snowfall will greatly impact your send-level. Beautiful surroundings, a really nice staff and sensible COVID adaptations. Be sure to reserve your passes and equipment rentals online!
For the purpose skiing without going hours, avoiding ski lines, and awesome terrain, this is it!
I love the mountain itself. Beautiful views, fun runs and endless memories. However as someone who takes the pandemic seriously, i was disappointed in their precautions in place. Their website states that they are following covid-19 precautions and requiring masks, but my experience was about 50% wore masks. No one was enforcing masks. Some lift operators were without masks all day even when face to face with other non mask wearing customer and when helping people up when they fell at the top of the lift. The website was not accurate with what lifts were open as well.
Fun place to ski. A variety of different slopes and usually not to crowded.
I just noticed that there were google reviews for this place, my comments below reflect my experience during the winter of 2015, haven't been back since:
As a frequent skier at your mountain, when my friend wanted to learn thats where we headed. Anyway, after a great morning of teaching her the basics, we grabbed lunch, as we were headed back out we noticed she'd lost her ticket. Likely in one of the many falls she took while getting her feet.
Your policy of no re-issued tickets for a lost pass is frankly unacceptable. We were not asking for a refund, merely to keep skiing. She had the receipt for the lift ticket, as well as the receipt for the rental gear she rented, it could not have been more apparent that it was an honest loss of a ticket. But it seems the policy of your owners that all guests are trying to cheat you out of a ticket by default.
In addition to that, the attitude of the owner, Tim, is insulting. His response was "go look for it."
At the cost of re-printing a ticket that was already paid for you have now cost yourself both my business and hers (great way to introduce a brand new skier to your resort...). So thats a couple thousand a year just gone.
I've skied all over coast to coast and have never encountered a policy as stupid as this, or an owner as inconsiderate.
Really great experience at Willamette Pass Ski Area, the lift lines were short / nonexistent, the snow was good, and the lodge was great. I had fantastic service in the bar. I still can't believe the all day lift ticket is only $60. I will be back.
Rental equipment is poor quality. The boots are 100% packed out. The staff is mostly helpful. The mountain is fun but don't forget your boots! You don't want to rent from here.
If I could give zero stars, I would. However shout out to the younger girl who hands out the snowboards downstairs and the older gentleman who was the greeter, they were seriously the only good part of my trip.
Willamette Pass double charged me and is refusing to give it back, took $496 out of my account instead of $248!! Their customer service is a joke, when I tried to email to explain what happened they were nothing but snarky and I was basically told tough luck. It has been a long back and forth conversation of them being rude and now they won t even answer my email! I ve tried calling multiple times which gives no option to speak to somebody and I even talked to them at the resort before I emailed and was told the refund would take a while, try again in two months by the front ticket lady.
Since they now won t even reply I had to open a fraudulent dispute with my bank. Not to mention while we were there every employee was down right rude (apart from two people we interacted with mentioned above) and acted like they hated their life or would rather be anywhere else. The lift operators were not attentive at all either and we saw a lot of almost accidents which we seriously so scary to see. This was my first and last time coming here. I d sooo much rather spend more money traveling to Mt Bachelor then ever ever return here. At least there I know they have integrity as well as their customer s safety as a priority.
Fantastic ski resort and only 70 miles from Eugene.
For a smaller ski resort, it had good amenities and nice slopes. Their lounge has large windows looking out over slopes and table service. We went on a Sunday and had no lift lines. You can buy lift tickets by the hour with a two hour minimum.
Amazing and groomed runs. Also great view at the top
Loved this mountain. Staff I encountered were so nice and helpful. The mountain would be tough for beginners but wonderful for moderate to experienced skiers/boarders.
This is a small mom and pop ski resort with a decent 1000+ foot vertical drop, complete with a six pack express chair to get you to the top. Granted, not much has changed here in the last decade or longer, but catch Willamette on a powder day and advanced skiers will have an absolute blast doing laps on the ungroomed runs. I've found when i visit, there's hardly a crowd, and there's no issue hitting over 20 runs in a day.
We had a great experience had Willamette Pass this last weekend. I had a fantastic lesson from one of the instructors and we will be back for more!
Great ski area. Way better than Hoodoo. Reminiscent of the Mt. Shasta Ski Area but without Mt. Shasta's excellent food, snack and coffee bar. Minus one star for the very grumpy and unpleasant parking lot (male) employee... (time for you to find a new job buddy, preferably away from people)! Also the guy who has been manning the cash register at the snack bar is grumpy and surly too. I get that customer service is not always fun but when you choose to work in it you must rise to the occasion and be nicer or risk losing customers. We notice.
Staff has always been very friendly, making the experience that much better. Knowledgable medical personal, as well!
The on line store is very confusing, They do not take cash for tickets or rentals at the mountain , you have to go thru their shotty system. I managed to get tickets via gift certificates but renting the equipment you have to go up to the mountain apparently. Ive been emailing for hours now and have gotten limited response ! you would think they would have a user friendly system to buy tickets and rentals from one on line service! also good luck if you try to call them ! nobody answers!
