If u haven't gone, you really should. Point Defiance is the 2nd largest city park in the U.S., Grand Central in N.Y. being the first. 760 acres. Awesome trails, gardens, picnic areas, the Zoo and the new aquarium. I think u can even swim with sharks.

We were pleasantly surprised on our trip that many of the bad reviews we read were inaccurate. The park was clean and we experienced no long lines at all. This is a great value considering everything is included. My only negative feed back is that 3-4 rides were not operating. We will definitely be coming back!

Dead fish dropped all over the park, smelled in places there werent even fish, wouldve reported but didnt know who to call, also there were dieing fishing on the shore that the wildwaves community as a whole had to by pass if you even went anywhere since the pond is directly in the middle. Yes i actually gave thought on this review cause wildwaves use to actually be a nice place.

The only decent thing about it was that the rides and slides were okay. There was absolutely no room anywhere, everywhere was jam packed. There was no shade in 100 degree heat, and to top it all off the food carts had no water. Overall, it was too crowded and not worth the price.

We used to love this place but they haven't fixed it up or kept up with minor and major repairs for some time. the asphalt alone will wear a hole through your feet if you don't wear some sort of shoes, the rules are so restrictive its hard to have fun. Still a decent place to take the young kids

We had a great time. However, I gave a 3 star because the customer service we received was horrible. For the amount of money people spend there, the staff need to improve on their customer service skills. Everyone seemed angry all the time.

Today was the first time my wife and I have ever b...
Today was the first time my wife and I have ever been to Wild Waves... Suffice it to say... We will NEVER be returning. First. The website quoted me $10 for parking... Charged me $12. That was okay. I can over look that. Got into the park after the most relaxed security check I've ever seen. I literally made it into the park with my firearm in my backpack that was "checked" by their security. Luckily I'm a respectful and responsible gun owner and got a stamp and returned to my vehicle and locked it in my trunk... Have you guys ever heard the phrase "soft target"...? If not, do your patrons and employees a favor and toughen up on your bag checks because allowing two unwittingly armed adults into your park is purely irresponsible! Luckily your mistake was caught by us and corrected by us.
So now down to the meat and bones of why we will never return to your park.
1: $15 for a locker? Are you kidding me?! Price gouging much?
2: we enter the park at 11:30am and the entire 4 hours we were in the park, the only moisture to touch our bodies was from our own sweat! There were 400 yard long lines of people waiting for the free tubes for the rides, so we decide we would pay the $13 for the double tube. After waiting in line for over an hour, we were informed that they were out of tubes... After taking my money and giving me a wristband with the promise of "one possibly becoming available. At some point". I asked for a refund.. guess what... No refunds. Does that makes sense to you?!
3: finally after arguing with the apathetic Harry Potter look alike at the tube rental area for close to 30 minutes while waiting on a "manager", I was advised if I did not want to continue to wait, I could exit the park and visit the Human Resource Department... Outside of the park. Luckily my wife was smart enough to locate the Guest Relations area magically, there was a manager by the name of Eric sitting there with a female employee sitting and chatting meaninglessly. I explained why I was so upset... Mainly the fact that at that point I've paid over $100 between parking, entry, locker rental and a tube rental I never received... And all he would offer was reentry tickets... Literally seconds after I told him we would never be returning. So obviously he wasn't listening to my very valid complaint. So then I become extremely frustrated and demanded a full refund and to be escorted from the park in order to make sure they knew we were leaving and not making anything up. He wasn't willing. The female employee then stated it was possible for me to get a refund, but I needed to email the finance department because I paid with my debt card. Are you joking me?!
In order to document the promise of a full refund, I began filming Eric, with the camera pointed to the ground in order to respect his request not to be videoed. I explained that because he refused to get me in contact with anyone from your finance department I wanted to document him saying he is the manager on duty and I WILL get a full refund. So I have video of this promise... So I expect a full refund of every dime i spent. Especially the $13 for the tube I never received! So that's $12 for parking, $40 for two entry tickets and the $13 dollars for the tube I never received. A water hose and kiddy pool would have been more satisfying... No wonder Six Flags sold it off.

Where to start? The park is infested by bees, our kids where running all day from them. One slurpee stand was covered by them. Park appearance is subpar. Rides are outdated and some not working. Lifeguards more interested in the music than the kids. I could go on and on but I wont, I understand the park is old so I'll just leave it at we wont return, we will gladly drive 6 hours to Silverwood and enjoy a top notch theme park.

I have been coming to the park since the 70's when it first opened as Enchanted Village. There are rides here that i remember from my childhood that im able to share with my sons now. Yes things are more expensive but what isnt these days? Some days lines are longer than others but ive NEVER waited an hour like ive read in a couple "Jaded" reviews. Get the season pass and visit often if possible. I would also like to point out obvious improvement in recent years in the training of the entire lifeguard staff. Never will you see a lifeguard being unattentive! Constantly scanning their area without distraction I always feel like my younger son is safe! The ride attendants dedication to their jobs verys if im being honest. Some always smiling and making the younger crowds happy, others seemingly indifferent and more involved with themselves. Yes it makes a difference in the experience and the memories which is what we are all after. Now im off back to WildWaves! Seriously! See you there.

Fun place but the water was freezing in the kids area. And if you want to sit and be served for a meal they have one option and if they aren't busy they close before their posted hours. Very annoying.

We love hitting this place up once each summer. The water rides are great and they have several roller coasters and a decent selections of kids rides. We especially like the log ride. The food here is pretty bad, so we usually walk back to our car and have a quick picnic. Parking is $12 and lockers run $10-$15 depending on size. Make sure to pre-purchase your tickets to get a 25% discount.

Lines are long on the weekend, food is bad and overpriced, but other than that, lots of fun! Unique rides, great hours, tons of stuff to do. The life guards are on top of things. I enjoy their seasonally themed events, too.

We bought season passes to Wild Waves this year as a family Christmas present. Our first visit was May 13th before the water park had opened. Although there were hardly any lines, the amusement park is fairly small and any food or drink is very expensive. On our second visit we tried to redeem the remaining three guest passes to bring some friends only to find that the staff had used an extra pass on the first visit. We brought the problem to the attention of several staff members because it was their mistake and now we were going to have to pay the $45 entrance because of their mistake. They refused to fix the mistake and told us after spending over $500 on passes and parking for the year they would not help. We were absolutely not happy about them taking our benefits we paid for without regard but we went back to the ticket booth. After speaking with Amy at ticketing we learned that they had a ticket sale for the month of July and we were able to purchase the superfluous ticket for only $6. So... big thanks to Amy for being the one to help us with our situation but my opinion about their terrible customer service was even worse knowing that the people who had the ability to fix the problem could have done it for $6 and we would have been happy. So, small park, dirty water, very expensive food, and terrible customer service. Our experience has not been good.

Brought my son and his friend here for the first time. It's the type of place that you're going to spend quite a bit of money. You pay to get in then if you want to have a tube you have to pay for that also otherwise you have to wait until one's available for a ride. The lines or crazy long for the rides, and even if you wanted to just get food or a drink you had to wait in a 25-minute line. If we were to ever go back I would make sure they were running a really good special and I would not go on the weekend

It's all there is in the Seattle area so you've got to tolerate it. Rides are so so and the food/beverage is lousy, if they are not out of everything. Certainly no six flags.

Wow... What a waste of money and vacation time. Not only they are pricey but really really SLOW! When u wait on a line for an HR just because people are not paying attention to their job thats when u know u gotta go! Also u can rent ur OWN tube, but cant use it in ALL the rides and they don't let u know which rides aren't allowed in , u find out when u Finally make it to the top of the ride for NO REASON! Im leaving 1 star just so I can leave a review. NEVER AGAIN, not even for free.

I am local and have been considering getting a seasons pass. However, after coming today (although I think it s due to end of the season issues like people quitting) I don t think I will. The place was majorly understaffed and one stressed staff member told me many have quit. To me that suggests either poor working conditions or poor incentives to stay the full season. There was a ton of goose poop all over the wave pool area and even in the wave pool!
Additionally, there was a hornets nest by the little kids rides and a young child was stung. We stood in line for a ride but were refused one because the staff person had to go run another ride. We couldn t go on 3 rides we wanted to because there were no staff for them! My 3 year old was crushed.
My friend, who has a season pass, came too and stood in line for food for 20 min (understaffed again) and asked for complimentary fries for the wait but was refused both that & a refill on the season cup she usually gets refilled there. Not cool Wild Waves. Not cool.
I gave it a 2 because there is still lots to do but customer service gets a ZERO.

Wild waves is a water and theme park. It has traditional amusement rides (1 wooden and 1 steel rollercoaster, ferris wheel, kid area) and at least 6 water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and water playground area. Admission is $25/kid and $45/adult. Some discounts available with advance or online purchase. If you have food allergies you will need to request a food pass 24hrs in advance but they do accommodate day of requests sometimes (it's free, allows you to bring in food, no hard coolers or glass). They have meal plans but it doesn't seem to be a great deal unless you like eating lots of greasy fast food. I believe there is a limit on what or how much you can purchase; you will also have to wait in lines. Lockers available for $10-25 spread throughout, however arrive early to purchase. Tubes can be rented, I highly recommend since it will be nearly impossible to get a free one. We tried the free tubes and ended up leaving earlier than expected (too crowded, and sold out if tubes). Parking is about $12/vehicle (doesnt seem to be any shade or security), be prepared to walk a long ways to the park. Security check is first. Print your tickets in advance to avoid the ticket booths and straight to the entrance line. Wave pool was broken when we were visiting. Lazy river was so packed that the entire river was lined with tubes. 2 rollercoaster lines took 1.5 hours to ride both. It took 1 hour for 1 slide that wasnt extremely crowded. Expect to walk long distances. It is ADA accessible for my child with a wheelchair. Most rides are 48in or higher to ride. There are a few bathrooms and water stations. They do sell wine and beer in a specific restaurant. Bring your own lifejackets if you need them. You cannot bring your own intertubes.

I loved this place! There is so much to do, and it's for all ages. I would have given it five stars, but sadly it's very expensive. To change in a dressing room it costs money, so you're left either paying more, or changing in a restroom. The employees also look like they hate their jobs, which shouldn't be apparent at a kids theme park. Besides that, the park is really fun for everyone, and it's definitely a blast.

During summer, better arrive 30mins before the open time, or you'll find yourself waiting for 40mins to get onto the very first water ride. The biggest locker cost 20$per day, and medium cost 10$per day, which can all be paid by card. Recommendation: just walk out the park to get some lunch inside your viechle, and return without purchasing any food inside.

Not worth the money. I got free tickets so I decided to come with a friend. Had to pay $14 for parking & $10 for a locker. Food and drink are also over priced. They do not have kids for their drinks and the amount of wasps turns any food or drink to a bee hive. There are a couple fun water slides and a few fun coasters but it is not worth the money and waiting to come here.

It was a beautiful day at Wild Wave. It haves shaded areas for kids. Plenty of chairs but of course first come first served. Kids pool area it's cold but when you stay in the water long enough you get get used to it. I wish though it can be warm like the wave pool. If you bring little kids bring a wagon or stroller because it's a long walk from rides to the kids pool and the wave pool. Family friendly, lifeguards are alert about everything.

Few slides open, parking is extra, if you don't want to wait for 15-30mim for a tube, tubes are super expensive and people will run off with them. When this happens they won't replace. Amusement park portion was closed with one coaster open. Crazy crazy long lines for slides that were open. Great way to blow a bunch of money though

I guess I should be thankful this area has an amusement park. But the rides are out dated and the water slides all required a floaty. I mean this is seattle tacoma area there is so much financial revenue how is it that the water park and amusement park is so old with barely any rides. And you gotta pay for parking at that. You dont even gotta pay for parking at silver wood and it's way better there. Growing up in spokane and going to silver wood then coming here to wild waves was a major disappointment.
