Used to be great untill 2014. Lack of customer service, lack of rides during construction, lies about discounts and promos, cleanliness of the location is litterally "piss-poor", parking costs increased too far; same with ticket prices, new scan cards for cupon/discount passes and food etc made it impossible to even use them. These are only a few reasons why, unlike previous years, we did not buy passes this year and will doubtfully buy them next year.

It's very great. We go there every year and have fun every time we go, and it never gets old and boring! One downside is that when prices are low, tons and tons of people pile into the park, and it gets very crazy with the traffic. Otherwise it is 5 stars!!!
Wild Waves is an amazing theme and water park. I highly recommend Wild Eaves to anyone looking to have a fun day. It is totally worth admission with all of the water slides and rollercoasters. You want to like thrill rides to go here, but there is a lazy river and some milder attractions. The food is just average, but it's exactly what you expect from a theme park.
Went here for Fright Fest and it was super fun! We got there at like 2pm and was able to ride all the opened rides in a timely manner. Though later in the night when the haunted houses opened, we went through one and it was sort of meh. The scare factor wasn't there, seems like to me that they spent more time decorating the house vs hoping to scare people. Just my opinion. It was however super fun to ride the rides in the dark, my personal favorite was the Timberhawk!
Just 10 miles from the city this place is a gem of an entertainment spot. I make it a point to go here every year. It's worth a whole day. Reach there early and start with water rides first. Finish the major water slides and then push off to the no water rides. Long lines at sometimes can be frustrating but it's worth the wait. From small kids to elder people there is something for everyone at this place. Food is super costly inside. I prefer packing food and coming back to the car, eat and go back in again. That way you save 30-40$ . Make sure you pack less and even have a locker to store your items.Locjers too are 25$ a day. So don't bring in too many items or else you might spend way too much. Roller coasters, sky shot, Columbus boat swings what not...all the rides are pretty awesome. Go for it with family. You will enjoy great. One major precaution.. keep your wallets safe and locked up. One of my friend lost his wallet in a split second in the crowd.
Kids loved their rides and water park, we were able to enjoy the park as soon as it opened. Later that day they started to close rides down which made me a bit angry
Be careful of stolen possessions the lockers are a solid plan also flip-flops because the pavement is scorching. The water slides and coasters are a splendid time though!
I love wild waves, it's fun at the wave pool and the water slides. the only thing that troubles me is that sometimes at the afternoon, the water slide lines are too long and I gotta wait for about 20 minutes. Everything else is great.
Cute little park, we went in the fall for the haunted houses so the water park was shut down. Tall tree's added nice atmosphere, haunted houses we're fun, but some rides where lacking some upkeep or just don't stand up to larger parks. Their wooden roller coaster is axing in the dark though.
Overly crowded in Summer. Some dude in a banana Hammock was trying to hit on my beautiful fiancee when I went for drinks, she's wearing a ring and our daughter was with her, obvious she's not alone, had brief words. Noticed a lot of guys there trying to hit on teenage girls maybe just that day. Fun place other wise for kids despite crowds....watch out for guys who wear Bananas Hammocks.
Second time we were there this summer and the wave pool is not working , the generator has been broken since the begin of summer. A lot of the rides were closed. For the price you pay, you would think they would fix these issues. The water is extremely cool, its like they do not heat water anymore. Very disappointed this year. I do not know if we will be returning next year. Bathrooms need to be cleaned on a timely basis, very disgusting and trash cans need to be empty as well. Its not like it used to be... clean, friendly, organized. They simply take your money and have stopped making any improvements, it's a shame cause we used to look forward to going there every summer. I love this place in the summer and also when they open for seasonal events!! I've had a blast here so many times and I know for sure that will continue every year! My favorite is the Christmas lights!!! Its magical to see all of those beautiful lights and ride the rides with them all alight!!!
I used to be jealous of the people who went here then I finally got to go and was so right about how much fun it is. you can make so many great memories here whether you get wet or not, it's so family friendly and such an awesome place to go
The park attractions were good, my kids and I had fun. However, the food situation was atrocious! I waited for an hour in line for food. It was crazy! When I got up to place my order, there were bees swarming all over the place. The workers were obviously struggling to work alongside all the bees. Later in the day, I saw a little child get stung by the ICEE machine, there had to be 50 bees swarming around the machine!
Went to WildWaves for their FrightFest only to fine out the Haunted a house were 7-10pm with no re-enter after 7pm. Got there at 330pm most rides were closed until 7pm. Waited in line for over an hour for a hundred house and had to leave this is now 2yrs in a row I ve tried to get into see one of there josez
I enjoyed pretty much everything there, the roller coasters and water slides were great but I couldn't try everything because rides would close at what seemed like random times.
Really gone down hill over the last few years! Was a bit disappointed I have a 5 year old and have the rides he wanted to ride were closed so pretty much all rides for small children. Food isn't bad service not great.
Passes are the way to go!! Lots of fun. Suggest weekdays versus weekends. Be prepared to spend a lot on food or pack a lunch in a cooler and take a break and go to the car for lunch. For those that need to budget more.
Super fun. Kids had a great time. The only thing that sucks was 5 of the good rides weren't running. And we're doing a season pass next summer, the price makes more since than paying $40 a person...(especially because there is 6 ppl in our family)
My family and i have gone to wild waves every summer for the last 4 years. Sad to say, yesterday was our last. SO much wrong with this place and it all dtmes from having young employees that have no interest in doing their job. Rude, unprofessional, and dangerous. The kid working parking wouldn't get out of his seat to take my card to pay, I had to uncomfortably reach out my window to reach him because he was talking to his friend at the time. A major tide was shut down and there were to young employees standing in front of thw ride, when we politely asked if the ride was going to open later, they ignored us the first time (they were talking about social things) they finally replied with just shaling their heads to us. I then can across a little boy no older than 10 who lost his mom and was crying terribly, I told him I would help him find his mom so we went ot the first lifegaurd we saw and the young lifeguard asked ME to deal with it instead of proceeding to get us some help. Then, to top it all off, my 11 year old daughter went down a waterslide with a tube by herself, I was waiting at the bottom for her (im currently pregnant) ont he way down my daughter slipped off the tube and hit her head pretty hard on the side of the slide, I stood there and watched as ANOTHER young lifegaurd just looked at her crying face and asked her to move to make way for the next rider, didnt even ask her if she was okay or needed medical attention after clearly seeing she was hurt or upset. I refuse to pay $230.00 again for my family to be treated so poorly. Im surprised this place isn't dealing with more lawsuits.
I went here on Sunday we have been season pass holders for many years and my grand daughter has been coming to wild waves since she had been 2 and now she is 7 some times they allow her on the raging river and some times they don t even if she is with an adult she gets so sad
I looked on line and it said 19.99 for last splash but every time I tried to buy the tickets it was full price! I called and was told to come down and they would give me the tickets for 19.99 when I got to the front the girl was very rude and told me she cant sell me two tickets for less that 93 dollars that I needed to go to will call! I go to will call and the girl said all I could do is buy them online for 39. when inside I was asked to leave two different swimming pools because I was told they where under staffed??? I asked the life guard that was also with another guard standing and playing around in front of the pool when it would open again today! and she acted like she didn't even know! she said not to day I bet!! I have been going to this park for over 20 years and its never been worse than this last time! very disappointed!
They do not let you bring food in, yet they try to force you to buy dog food. We spent $30 on food and could not even eat it. Chicken sandwich was like trying to eat a 20 year old piece of jerky pulled out of the desert sand and thrown into old dish water then served on a stale bun garnished with 10 wasps. The best part of the food was getting stung by the wasp.
Shortage of lifeguards for the lagoon, kiddie area. Half the tubes are closed. At least 3 more lifeguards. Why doesn't the park let in Season Pass holders prior to general admission. Only 10 minutes early would be great. It might sell more Season Passes.
I personally buy the season pass every year for my kids, they live wild waves. The love to go when it's hot in the summer but also to the frieght fest and the holiday lights.
Paid $100 for 2 people with parking for fright fest. It was a TERRIBLE experience. The girls working at the concession stand were screaming and yelling at each other. One of them said SHE DIDNT HAVE TIME FOR ALL THESE ORDERS. There were only 2 of us in line at that point. Very rude. We were only able to ride 2 (very sketchy) roller coasters and go in One haunted house in 3 hours because the lines were so long. When you got in the haunted house, there was a line inside too. And the employees who were inside basically didn't even try at that point to be scary because it was so awkward with the line there. The park basically just seemed closed, there were next to no decorations out. The employees didn't seem interested in being there. Therefore ruined the experience. Will not be going back.
No male changing rooms, had to change into bathing shorts standing next to toilet on a wet floor. Also have a real problem with hornets, very thick near trash cans.
Many of the rides were closed which was disappointing since we aren't always able to make it down . Moreover, there weren't any lockers left which meant one of us didn't get to enjoy the attractions. However everything was clean.
Price of thought was kind of outrageous for the amount of time you had to wait for per line for a ride I got to go on one ride which was the Congo River other than that the the length of the lines were ridiculously long and unacceptable especially if you had your kids with you it was impossible to ride any of the amusement rides in the water park I definitely will not be driving up there again from Portland Oregon
It was a blast had a great time, the only down fall was how expensive everything was u pay for parking, you pay for a locker, and if u want your own tub you can buy those. Also the staff are extremely rude
It's a very fun place for locals and tourists alike! The prices are high for food and drink, so when you go, take plenty of money. We went on a week day so the lines were pretty short
In general there is fun to be had if it's not too busy. BUT STAY AWAY FROM SATURDAY NIGHT FRIGHT FEST! lines longer than you can imagine. I have a season pass so I didn't spend a dime to come today and u still feel ripped off because I just stood in line the whole time, including 45 minutes just to get in and an hour to get out of the parking lot. I wish I was joking!
