Beautiful locations with many amenities and plenty of things to do. With dining, golf courses, marina and many other options you can keep it close to where you are staying or drive into Charleston or visit Sullivan's Island, its away without being "away."

Amazing Customer service from the front desk with Ethan. Our car broke down on our way to our babymoon .

Ethan helped make sure we got our stay for our intended days and was super accommodating. Turned our entire trip around

We spent a long weekend here and I would not return. The female clerk at front desk was young and very arrogant. It was apparent that she had not been in customer service position for very long. We were billed for a more expensive room but we found out later that our room was not the one we paid for. Our "water view" consisted of a little sliver of ocean visible in between the buildings in front of us. The peace of relaxing on balcony was usually interrupted by people walking in between the buildings to go to beach or bar. The room was clean but the TV didn't work correctly. We contacted the front desk and we were told someone would up to fix it in 15 minutes. No one arrived so we called again. We gave up after no one arrived after the second call. The TV was also much smaller than we normally have in resorts like this.

It was a long walk to beach, especially if carrying things. The parking attendants were friendly but very busy. They accidentally brought us the wrong vehicle once. We joked about leaving our rental car there and driving the other vehicle!! Lol!!

It was landscaped nicely and everything was clean.

The food at the outdoor restaurant/bar was satisfactory but it was about what you expect from a normal beach bar. The drinks are in small plastic cups and frozen drinks from a machine but the band was really very good.

Overall, it was not horrible but I have certainly stayed in much more luxurious and customer service oriented resorts for the prices charged at this one. To be honest, my negative attitude was probably set when we checked in at front desk and dealt with "Miss too stupid to realize that customers actually pay her salary". There are too many nice resorts and hotels out there to settle for something like this one. I will not stay there again.

Valet services at the Boardwalk Inn are sub-par. The Villa valley is top notch! No further experience in the Inn. The Villa rooms are awesome. The beach front bar and grill has great entertainment. The adult pool area is great.

Massive crane blocking my expensive third floor condo view of the ocean. Started beeping outside my bedroom window with men shouting at 8:00 AM. Stops at 6:00 PM. So loud we have to leave the condo. Ruined our family vacation. No warning about construction.
Also, had to fix the master bath toilet. Tried to fix fridge. No luck and no ice.

I have stayed at nice places before, but they wanted a credit card deposit of a couple hundred dollars for incidentals that we have not spent yet. That sounds more like a Holiday Inn policy. Had they publicized this, I would have stayed somewhere else.
They were nice enough to let us check in early. The villa was pretty clean.

Terrible customer service by email and phone. I needed to make an adjustment to a reservation for my boss and emailed twice with no response. Called and was transferred to reservations and they did not answer. I actually got the voicemail at a hotel/resort (first time for everything). When I called back and finally got some one I found out that my request had indeed been filled, however, there was no follow up. Exactly how was I supposed to know that the changes I requested were made in no one takes the time to send a reply email or at least an updated confirmation. It really sucks that I didn't get at the very least a fake customer service apology for their oversight.

Very relaxing and close to Harris Teeter on Isle of Palms and many other attractions!

This is NOT a luxury resort. The Wild Dunes website is misleading. You might book the hotel, or get a condo that has been remodeled or more likely hasn t been updated in twenty years. Only if you have been here before would you know what to specifically book. If it s your first time be prepared to feel screwed. Most of the property is in average to poor condition. Nothing is luxury.

Response to their standard PR. I used the Wild Dunes website. It does not suggest that one should use a different site to guarantee a satisfactory stay. I stand by my first comments. If you haven t stayed here before, be prepared to be disappointed. I left the unit a day early.

The unit had 25 year old leftover furniture, paint cans and other repair materials in the closets, old appliances and the shower floor was missing chunks of tile. My girlfriend cut her foot on the broken tile. That unit should not be available to rent. Be prepared for disappointment.

Condo needs an update, but service and hospitality were as good as ever. Especially liked the tree trimmer looking in the windows at 9:00 in the morning 10 feet away 25 feet up in the tree tops.

Staying over Fourth of July weekend (here now). Resort layout great with beach, bars and things to do. Accommodations not so good. Shower - no water pressure... wife had a hard time rinsing hair. Fold out couch for extra bed .... the worst I've ever tried to sleep on!. Went to Fourth of July Barbecue ($40 a person) last night.... Burgers and chicken both over cooked, ate some chicken through burger in trash. Staff not prepared for rain so eating was tough. Would have a hard time coming back when their's so many offerings at this price that do a better job.

Nice and helpful staff. Great job of handling social distance, mask requirements and in-room sanitary supplies. Clean to the point of making you feel personally safe in the covid times. First time here this time of year (October). A lot of things closed, but we found more new things to do and had different fun experiences.

I'm a local and this is one of my favorite last minute getaways for a change of scenery and a quaint location on the beach. The food is good, the staff is friendly and it is priced right!

It was okay. The condo was far away from the beach when we thought it was closer. The screened in porch screen was ripped and the sliding door wouldn't lock. If right on the beach, then staying on the isle of palms is a good choice if you want a beach near Charleston (about 35 minutes away).

The wild dunes resort is a beautiful place. The villa we stayed in was amazing as well. The only concern is that there were ants in the master bathroom. Other than that I give the resort a 3.5 out of 5.

Rented a condo through WD for a busy summer holiday weekend. Reservations staff was friendly and accommodating when our selected property wasn't available for the time we needed. Listened to our needs and found our group a similar property. While on the resort, we took advantage of the beach, pool, bike rental, golf, tennis, and the playground. A perfect location for our mixed-age group. We will definitely be back again soon!

I love Wild Dunes and Isle of Palms. We four years had gone there every fall, it is the best time of year to go actually. It is gated. A fairly Lively area at the main resort area. We would like to walk up and get ice cream. Having eaten at a numbers of the restaurants.

Outdated villa, not too clean. Rooms are located on three levels: multiple stairs everywhere. Toilets flush only if you hold the handle for 2 minutes. One shower did not work, second (in a bathtub) had no hot water ( just slightly warm). Standing water in the sinks and a bathtub. The resort was advertised as with a beach access..Indeed, 10-15 min walk through the whole village (1/2 mile) or you can call the shuttle, which arrives in 10 min and rides another 5. Overpriced and underserved.

Wild Dunes Resort is the perfect Charleston and IOP getaway! The staff is incredibly attentive and hospitable, the guest room spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable, so much to do to be active whether golf, tennis, beach, spa, etc.... something for everyone to truly tailor the vacation you want to have. The tennis pros Cadil and Carlos are the absolute best for lessons and instruction. Will absolutely choose stay here again when I return to Charleston! Oh... Coastal Provisions, the main restaurant, a must dining experience!!! Amazing!!!

The place is nice but I had an issue with the air conditioning in my room and even though they bandaided it each night of my stay, they were unable to move me to another room. For a nice place, I felt they could have done more.

Fantastic trip to Wild Dunes. Very spacious rooms. Complimentary valet parking if you're staying in the hotel. Friendly staff. Clean. I'd come back when it isn't off season so I can it for it's full glory.

Absolutely wonderful weekend! We stayed at Wild Dunes Fri, May 29th-Sun, May 31st. We were getting married on Sullivan's Island on Saturday, and on short notice, booked a jr suite. No ocean views available when we booked, but Dan mentioned our interest should one come avail. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly and efficient valets, and at check-in, we were promptly greeted and informed that we had been upgraded to a room with an ocean view! And not just any room-the Presidential Suite! Champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries were on the table, and what a view!!
Every restaurant we ate in on the resort had exceptional food and excellent service, and the cleanliness and comfort of our room was outstanding.
I realize this was probably a once in a lifetime for such an upgrade, but they could have done nothing more to make our wedding weekend any better!
We'll be back, and highly recommend!

Very nice hotel but we got stuck under a room being renovated. Constant banging from 8am and on. Felt like the ceiling was going to cave in on us. Very tough while having a pregnant wife who needed a nap. They were very helpful and got us a discount from Expedia at least.
