Donald is hands down my favorite stylist. He takes his time, does consistent work, and takes creative risks when necessary. I ve went to him for four years and he is the best.

Fantastic! Lexi did an awesome job with my cut and balayage and I would recommend her to literally everyone I know. She puts all her focus into her clients, and pays extraordinary attention to details. I m so happy with the results!

I ve seen DevonLee at a different facility and absolutely love her. She s always been nice, friendly and actually cares and talks to you about life. She does great work! I have thin long curly hair and have always had a hard time finding someone who could cut and color it how I liked. But she could do it! I was so bummed when she moved too far away for myself and my family to still go to her. I assure you if you see her and give her a chance you will not be disappointed.

I've never had a bad experience here. Good environment, clean, nice boss, friendly. But I'm mainly writing this review to recommend Lindsey, she's awesome.

I absolutely enjoyed my visit at this salon. I what to give a big shout out to Donald! I have been struggling with my hair for quite sometime and, made the decision to drive over to Rochester, so Donald could fix me up! As always he did an amazing job!

So great- I love when the stylist gives me their opinions, as well as listening to what I like. I always appreciate their advice, and Donald talked with me and counseled me about my hair needs and helped me figure out what I was looking for. I really felt like he genuinely cared about hair. I bought a leave in conditioner he suggested, which has made my hair feel so soft! ALSO- best hair cut I ve ever had. I m always so scared to get hair cuts because I ve had such bad experiences in the past where they take way too much off, but Donald listened to my concerns and got it perfect!

Donald has done my hair for years. He is amazing at what he does, he is personable, and extremely professional. I have had a lot of bad experiences with other stylists, but not Donald! I trust him 110% to take care of my hair meet my wants and needs as a client.

Also, I loved West End; the environment is great and clean. In regards to the cleanliness; I couldn t help but notice how the receptionist was going above and beyond with her cleaning and sanitizing. Other businesses should take note, this was the best display of cleaning I have seen since the extra COVID precautions were established.

Lexie is my go-to person, hands down. i have the thickest, curliest, rebellious, hair ever and she always leaves me looking like a top hair model. She is sweet, and you truly connect with her, thank you Lexie!

I was in search of a new stylist because I moved. I found WE by searching on google and saw all the good reviews. I used the online booking system to book an appointment. It had me fill in first, second, and third choices on dates. I got my first choice which was just 2 days away. My stylist was Donald. I don t do a good job keeping up on my blonde hair, so I had a good few inches of growth, and the rest of my hair was a bad yellow color. Donald talked to me about what I wanted and he made some suggestions which I took. My hair turned out beautiful, it was a full foil and cut. I couldn t be happier, I am picky and it turned out perfect. I highly recommend this salon, and Donald!

I rarely take the time to do a review. My experience at West End was cause to take the time to share. It is a beautiful, upscale salon. The staff are friendly and always go the extra mile. Donald is simply a hair god!!! I left there feeling absolutely amazing!

I have had Devon Lee cut my hair at another salon for 4 years. I have always had my hair scissor cut and she does a terrific job! Her fun and down to earth personality is a huge breath of fresh air. I've now been to West End 3 times and I will definitely keep going back! I've seen Donald twice; he gave me such an awesome cut and blowout that I came back a second time just for a wash blowout before going on a long trip. The blowout made my hair so light and bouncy that it lasted throughout the whole 1.5 day international flight (with multiple connections). Best decision ever. I also needed a quick color, for which I saw Lexi. She was also awesome! Super sweet and very talented. Both Donald and Lexi really listened to what I wanted, and had a keen sense of style and what would work for me. The salon is bright and spacious, chic and modern.

I m a low maintenance hair person. I want a good looking cut that I don t have to do much to because I don t know how. Today I met Lexie for the first time. She understood my needs and expectations and crushed it. I left happy with my haircut, a great interaction, and the shampoo and product they have smells amazing. I ve lived here for 3 years and not found someone to consistently do my hair but I think I might have today. Thanks y all!

Don gave an excellent color and cut. Listened to what I asked for and had great suggestions when asked. Very pleased to find a good salon and stylist while away from home.

Lexie was amazing!! When I came in my hair was way too blonde and had some brassiness to it. She corrected all of that with a foilyage and made my hair more natural looking and beautiful! I just moved here so I m happy I found someone. I would highly recommend her!

I wanted to cut my moderately long hair for the first time in 20 years. I spent months researching the cut that would work best for my hair type then took a few weeks to research the salon to use. I even went so far as to make a Pintrest for the style/cut I wanted. Prepared, I booked an appointment for a haircut online and in the comments section also asked about facials. My haircut appointment was confirmed without any mention on facials.

I couldn't find parking for WestEnd so I meter parked for the hour I believed my haircut would be done. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very kind but only asked me to have a seat to wait. A few minutes later, a very lovely woman lead me into the facial area. When I indicated that I didn't need a facial, I was told that my cut couldn't be done for an hour and a half since my stylist was doing a major color change on her client. So I decided to get my very first facial because I felt pressured since I had mentioned it in the comments upon booking and I wasn't about to sit around.

The facial was not impressive what so ever. I do better ones myself and my skin didn't change at all. I felt bad for the esthetician since she was just doing her job and didn't do the schedule. So I couldn't tell her that I saw no change in my skin. In fact, that was a major waste of $ in my case.

So when I came out of the facial spa area, I was told that another stylist was going to do me a favor and cut my hair quick between clients. Since the original stylist was still working on a major color adjustment, I didn't have a choice. I had blocked that afternoon to pay top dollar for a really great haircut for an upcoming business trip. The young lady that offered to cut my hair between other clients was my only choice.

By this point, my actual haircut appointment time was up... yet the stylist that was to do my cut said she couldn't (or didn't want to) honor my appointment. I got out my pictures of what I wanted done and she glanced at one of them while telling me she couldn't style my hair after the cut due to time. She obviously wanted to just make a quick buck.

While washing my hair, I explained that this was an incredibly important cut for me. She was in a hurry and barely acknowledged my comments. I kept showing her the cut in different angles but she just gave me a cheap layered cut which was WAY too short and not the cut I asked for. I was beyond frustrated at that point, although she SOMEHOW managed to curl my short hair under in a horrific style that was no where near the light waves I requested.

I was given a 10% discount due to the scheduling error. I certainly took it, but my purpose of the dramatic cut was never about money. I tipped for both services because I tip well as a rule (past server). But I am so unhappy with my hair and it's too short now to go in and get it done correctly.

The biggest blow was that I was a burden on the stylists and I have to live with this ugly boring cut for a long time.

Saw stylist Donald. Very skilled in styling and products and a fun conversationalist. I am just visiting Rochester and game here because it is close to my hotel. If I lived here he would be my permanent stylist. Highly recommend. Salon was very clean with excellent social distancing.

Lexie is an great stylist! Intuitive about bringing out the best in her clients, from the moment you walk into West End Salon in Rochester. Lexie followed her passion and talents from an early age with great insights. She is outstanding not only as a stylist, but also knows how to give greAt customer service! I went to cut my hair short for the first time and I love the way turn out. Kimberly did a great job with my hair and the place look nice, and people there so friendly.

Had such a great experience here for the first time. Kailyn was amazing in helping me figure out what I wanted. It turned out perfectly!

The staff were very professional. I had decided to try this salon because of the good work I had seen from them. However, I had my hair trimmed and then curled for my style and once I washed my hair after I got home, I have a pretty obvious piece of hair right next to my face that is almost an inch longer than the rest of my hair. My hair was also definitely not washed clean and the shampoo wasn't completely rinsed out of my hair. For the price being on the higher end than any of the other really classy salons in town, I would have really liked an even haircut. I really wanted to love the experience but I don't think I'll return.

My first visit to West End led me to Donald, who gave me an excellent cut. My hair is short, straight and on the thin side. Nearly a month later, it still looks good and styles easily, which is a good indicator of a quality cut! We had a light conversation, just about the right amount for me. The one suggestion I have would to be asked which side I usually part my hair on. I tried it on the side Donald used, but always go back to the other. But when I reverted to parting it the usual way, I noticed that my hair was somewhat longer on the other side. I know I could have mentioned it during my cut, but I was willing to try something a bit different!
Old habits die hard. :-)

TERRIBLE! Awful customer service! Had ONE confirmed email from them for my waxing appointment, I showed up, and they said it was for the next day. (Which I had them look at the email on my phone and I was there on the right day!) No apology from them. Just told me it was my fault. Not an offer to make it right or squeeze me in, even though it was THEIR mistake, not mine!

My mother is a patient at Mayo, and we came to West End for a trim during her chemo treatments. Lexie was awesome! She was very professional and showed my mother much compassion and kindness. My mom loves her new hairstyle, and we highly recommend Lexie s services.

I came to the salon to get my hair fixed after a bad experience at a salon in Minneapolis. My hair had chunky streaks and looked extremely brassy. I decided to book an appointment at West End in hopes to correct the poor streak job.

Lexie listened to my wants, and hair goals. She went above and beyond and left me with beautiful blonde hair that fits my skin tone perfectly. No more chunky steaks, or brassy tone. So happy!

Can t wait to go back!

If I could give zero stars I would. It was clear from the beginning that I must have not been dressed poshy enough or what have you for them to think I could afford the services and tip. I get taken to my seat and the stylist was incredibly rude and had a major attitude. I asked for what I normally get when I go to a salon (I've been getting my hair professionally done for 16 years now, I wanted to try a new place) A balayage and a cut. Any time I've gone to a salon this has never been an issue. With the length of time it takes I always make an appointment. The stylist at this salon however proceeds to accuse me of lying (multiple times) about the last time I had color in my hair. As I try to remind him there has been a global pandemic and I have literally no reason to lie because again, I've been getting my hair professionally done for 16 years. Have I from time to time attempted to do my hair from home? Who hasn't? But again I have not attempted this since my last visit to a salon and wanted my hair professionally done. So after accusing me of lying for the 5th time he then tells me what I want done cant be done in one session and that he charges 100.00 an hour. Me trying to be flexible offer a different balayage color which was darker and would only require lightening my hair a little. He then restates it would take multiple sessions. I let him know I would be taking my business elsewhere. I have never and I do mean NEVER been treated so poorly before. The stylist that will be doing my hair (and is magically able to do it in one session without frying my hair) will be getting the 50% tip I would have given the rude stylist who clearly thought I didn't make enough to get my hair done. Don't waste your time with this place unless being insulted is your thing.

We had a fantastic experience at this beautiful blow dry bar. My daughter and I are here for the Mayo Clinic from Colorado. Wanted to treat ourselves after a long day of appointments. Nelson and the stylists were cheerful, excellent, and efficient. The location is so convenient. We both loved our blowouts. Highly recommended!

I had Lexi for my stylist and she did a great job with my curly hair. I asked for a balayage and she did exactly what I wanted, and recommended some great products! I would definitely recommend coming to this salon! I will come again!

The owner did such an amazing job on my hair, the best short hair cut I have ever got!! Normally for short hair cuts, it will look nice when you are at the store after they styled for you, but for mine, it looks even better after I took a shower and without even blow drying it or using any hair style products!! Make sure you get a reservation early!! It might take you a long time to get her cut your hair!! but she is definitely worth the wait!! Amazing atmosphere too!!!

I am rated this a 4, mostly because of their awesome, helpful, talented, stylist, KAT. My first experience with the salon was unfortunate, the stylist, bless her heart, did not deliver on her promises and was very lacking in the consult department. The girl tried, she was polite...my hair was just not right. She did apologize. The big deal, the almost make it or break it was the owner/manager Kim. She was rude and just had an IDGAF attitude. Unbelievable, it's not like I'm at Cost Cutters, ya know? I will leave out details. I rescheduled the next day to fix the mess up and was scheduled with Kat. Kat takes time for consult and really helps out in making decisions with your hair if you have questions. She also does great cuts, colors, eye brow waxes. She's just good at what she does and friendly! The manager still kind of gives me shade when I come in but Kat is worth putting up with it :-)

I had yet again a FANTASTIC experience with Lexie! Once again she brought my vision of vibrant hair to life and it turned out way better than i expected. And the 10 minute head massage was so amazing I dang near melted in the chair! Highly recommend! Moved from Seattle to Rochester and was recommended to Lou by a friend. I have only gone to Lou since living here because she helped color correct my hair, she helped me through it being damaged, and she got it to the healthiest it's been in my life. She is very realistic with expectations when I wanted to color correct and since I have curly hair she helped explain what haircuts would work for me and asked me first what I would like.

I took my husband to Lou who has very thick hair and he has really liked his hair cuts from her. I definitely recommend seeing Lou for a consultation and then setting up and appointment with her. Upon my first consolation with her I knew I wanted her to cut my hair. She is very nice and easy to talk to:)

I'll start by first saying that Donald K. is an actual hair magician. My daughter is 13, and wanted a very specific cut to match one of her favorite anime characters. Donald gave her exactly what she wanted, and beyond - fitting right to her very own personal style. When showing her the final product, I could see her eyes light up as she was revealed her new look! Even with a mask on, I could see she was grinning ear to ear!! The customer service was outstanding, and the staff was wonderful! Extra points for not making fun of an unnecessary emotional outburst of joy from a mother. 100/10 will be going back, every time. THANK YOU, DONALD K. AND WEST END SALON!

My first impression of the salon was great! It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable. Donald is AMAZING! He is so helpful with ideas and styles, as I'm the type that can never decide, and he is extremely knowledgeable in coloring techniques. I have never been disappointed with his services! He is friendly, fast and affordable! I am definitely recommending Donald and West End Salon to my friends!

I got my hair done today by Master Stylist, Donald K. The color and cut turned out absolutely perfect! Donald was easy to talk to, very nice, and most importantly an extremely talented stylist. This was easily one of the best salon experiences I ve ever had, and I would 10/10 recommend this salon and Donald to anyone looking to get their hair done!

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing of an experience I had today at West End! This was my first time at this salon and I went because of the good reviews on Lexie. She definitely lives up to her name as she was SO kind and absolutely perfected what I asked for. I showed her a PICTURE of what I wanted and the skill she showed to give me exactly what I wanted is baffling me. I have never had a hairstylist as skilled as Lexie. I needed an appointment on a relatively short timeline and used West End's online booking system to make an appointment with Kim, the owner, in a couple days. I appreciated the ability to book online so you can see the extent of availability, pricing, etc. Kim was fantastic--on time, listened to what I wanted while also offering suggestions, and I enjoyed talking to her! I didn't have any color services, but am very happy with my cut. The salon itself is clean and modern, and all the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this salon above others in Rochester!

Great salon! Prices are fair and typical of a higher end salon. Donald really helped transform my hair. It looks exactly how I imagined! Safe to say I ve found my go-to hair salon in Rochester.

Like Goldilocks it took me a number of salons before I happened upon the one that was "just right." Had my hair cut by Lexie here two weeks ago and then had my color done by Donald last Thursday. I could not be more pleased with my haircut or with the products that Lexie recommended to help make my hair less like shredded wheat and restore its softness again. Donald gave me back my original hair color and gave me a scalp massage that almost put me to sleep.

West End Salon is beautiful and clean, and the staff there understand what service looks like. They are always willing to refresh your coffee or tea, and Donald cracked me up with the pile of magazines that he compiled and brought to me so I could just relax with my hair color in place.

I have had the immense pleasure of Dlee work with not only my wavy, frizzy, thick hair but also my son and daughter for over 5 years! We have always followed her no matter what salon she was at. My daughter has always loved cutting her bangs and everytime I would bring her to Dlee she was able to help hide the damage. Thanks to Dlee my daughter also stopped twirling her hair to the point of snarls! She has girls, she gets it! If you want an amazing, compassionate, talented hair stylist choose this lady!

The facial was terrible. Courtney didn t say a word the entire facial so I had no idea what she was doing or putting on my face. She left me confused and uncomfortable under the steamer for at least 15 minutes, wondering if she was even still in the room. She didn t warn me before starting extractions. She didn t ask about what products I currently use or make any recommendations about what I should be using. She had recently smoked so I smelled cigarettes every time she exhaled. The facial was supposed to be customized, but every mystery product slathered on my face was heavily scented after I had told her I was sensitive to fragrances. Don t waste your money here.

Donald is my man! He always takes his time with me and is able to give feedback on what would look help my hair to look its best. The owners always have the salon looking top notch and truly are very caring people who look out for the well being of their customers. I always know I m in excellent hands at West End Salon. Highly recommend 10/10.

Our entire family loves West End, we are all clients of Donald s. He is amazing! When it comes to cutting my husband s and kids hair or cutting and coloring mine he exceeds our expectations every time. Donald is extremely talented, professional and fun at the same time. Recently was my second visit with Erika at West End Salon and my fourth visit at West End. The owner has been very friendly and accommodating.
Erika has done a wonderful job and she is is a good example of what customer service is all about! My hair had some breakage and Erika took the time to talk with me about how to repair my hair and she offered ideas and suggestions how to get my hair healthier! She even took my hair and twisted it up looking for damaged ends to trim! It is very apparent that making the customer happy is her priority. She did not rush and she is always very friendly and personable!! I highly recommend her!

I visited this salon recently for the first time and I had an excellent experience! The salon is very clean, bright and modern and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a cut, roots and toning as well as a keratin treatment (which was a first for me) with Donald and he was excellent! I have naturally curly hair that is somewhat thin and tends to frizz. I am so glad he suggested the keratin as it was exactly what my hair needed. I am looking forward to my next visit!

I saw Lexi today for a haircut I booked a same-day Last Minute Luxuries appointment at a $10 savings! I couldn t have been happier with my experience. Lexi is an excellent listener, courteous, and an extremely gifted stylist! I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff. Lexi had delicious coffee to offer me. Her work exceeded my expectations and I felt an instant rapport with her. I m actually going back next week to experience a balayage color service with Lexi! I don t usually write too many reviews but definitely needed to for Lexi at West End. I have never had someone so thorough and honest. She asked lots of questions, took a look at my hair, and talked about how to get to the end goal and what it would look like. I've been to this salon twice now, I leave looking fabulous everytime. Lexie listened to all my wants and made recommendations based on them! I love how honest and friendly everyone is! Can't wait to go back in a few months.

I booked a makeup appointment here, for an event I was speaking at in Rochester. I originally picked here due to the reviews and was very disappointed. Not only was it impossible to get in touch with anyone till the day before, I had asked about airbrush makeup and was told yes, to find out the day of they dont do it. Given I had no other option I went in. I truly wish I didn't. It was done so poorly and she didnt know how to apply the eye lashes, that I just had her stop there, paid and left. I rushed home to try and fix it the best I could before going to my event. I wasnt able to improve it much, and my family definitely was in shock at it. I am very upset because I was really looking forward to this event, and felt self conscious during it. I would never go here again or recommend anyone.

So glad I picked West End to fix some unfortunate highlights I received at another salon. Cole was my colorist and he did a great job of listening to my concerns and determining the best ways to achieve the color I was looking for. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

i not recommend for this salon , actually the dealing in this salon is not good, they don't respect the time for customer, and i took appointment for alixa and , she so late, also she didn't respect her customer.
