I would give it 0 stars if I could I will never step foot near or in this place after I heard about the events that happened with skate and his team
I would give it 0 stars if I could I will never step foot near or in this place after I heard about the events that happened with skate and his team
security beat up and abused the act and the fans. that should speak for itself.
This venue doesn't deserve any stars. Especially after what I saw tonight with skate maleloy. Security abusing a fan and also the performer for trying to protect the fan????! What kind of music venue are you running? Security are supposed to protect the performer as well as the fans. In no circumstance is it ok to abuse someone! Think about who you hire next time because you got a big storm coming your way. Absolutely horrible!!!
Renovations look really good! Great sound system, would go to a concert there again anytime.
This place is an institution. I recently came here because someone invited me to a table in the VIP section. Before then, the last time I was here was about 10 years ago. I have to say that not much has changed. There have been some upgrades in the bar area/bottle service and they changed the music that plays in the basement and main floor. Besides that, it was like it was 10 years ago.
I'm happy that this place is still in business and is one the remaining megaclubs in the city. I had a great night and might come back here again if I get another impulse to relive my youth.
they have 4 floors with different music, the thematic parties are the best, like Halloween, the crowed is young, but it mostly depends of the day. they have good drinks and pizza. the main floor is a great party non stop. the basement is more hiphop style
Loud, huge and extravagant, webster hall throws great parties.
Webster has been killing it this year with the shows. Always happy to come.
Went to webster denied entry twice because the bouncer said I didn't pay. Bought the ticket online had the proof of purchase as well. Save your money and go to Pacha NYC. WEBSTER HALL IS GARABE. WOULD STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND
Attended a concert and loved the old/new Webster Hall. Bartenders were very nice, beer/alcohol prices were good and just loved it.
Nice venue & layout. Bathrooms modernized. Easy security, good bartenders. Bit pricey on drinks even for NYC.
HOVA baby. I was there only for Jay-Z. It was an amazing show he really turned the house out. I really didn't notice much difference in regard to construction/remodeling. It looked untouched.
Excellent venue to see a show, fantastic views and very friendly staff. Iconic! It s historic feel allows you to enjoy whomever is performing.
Love the new look and they seem to really be on top of their game when comes to the safety and security of its patrons.
For starters, although this place is leaving soon, I'm sure a lot of people will miss it. Three levels, 4 rooms of music, sticky floors and sweaty people. Everyone has a love/hate relationship with this place. I'm sad to see you go, but hopefully during renovation, the new owners do something about the top floor. It literally gives in when people jump!
If you like being treated like cattle and can't make it to the airport this is a fine substitute.
Great events and musicians but the atmosphere is geometry and the security has been known to take advantage of people who are unfamiliar with the rules
Thank goodness it is gone. Surly staff, unusually poor acoustics.
Havnt been to many places in NY but definitely nothing impressive don't waste your time with open bar because you'll spend to much time waiting for a drink unless your paying cash. Whole club feels like a sauna. Would only recommend to high school student
Great venue! The renovations make this place 100 times better than before. Lighting and sound systems are on point and they definitely add to the concert experience. Drinks are a little on the expensive side but it s Manhattan.
There was this plus size poorly dressed bartender who was extremely rude which negatively impacted my experience! If this helps she was wearing glasses and cheap sparkly dress
Leaving the Alan Walker concert was absolutely a mess. I moved 5 steps in an hour and a half and the staff did nothing when it came to passing out coats. The concert was good. But their process of leaving is absolute hell.
I thought I had come to the best discotheque in New York, and I got a hall with a rock band that produces noise only + a bunch of abnormal / psychotic young people. Downstairs in the studio was some hallucinatory singer trying to play the guitar. A terrible experience. These are the discos of New York ??
Is fine, I liked it but there's just not much to love. However try your best to avoid unnecessary expenses like the coat check.
First time back since renovation. Doesn't look too different from before but still a great venue for shows.
Staff was really nice. Good venue. I love the layout and how they had set times posted and the bathrooms are gender neutral I just thought they redid it and nothing looked redone and it's not set up to buy advance tickets as of 1.22.20
Very invasive and unprofessional security guards at Webster, made me explain a prescription in my bag, even after checking my ID against the name on the prescription. My entire bag was checked, and water thrown out (so they could charge $10 for water). TSA has never inspected me so thoroughly.
Great show with KDTU. Nice space.. beware, actual stage times for acts are not always clearly stated with online ticket purchases like with major concerts and it messed up some attendee schedules and plans. Normally policy states once you are in building you cannot leave and re-enter without purchasing a new ticket due to e-scan policies. No food on site.. only bars.. so eat before, or expect a double purchase on tickets to re-enter. Otherwise great site.. bathroom attendants so CLEAN bathrooms. Nice people there too. Good crowd
For parties, this place is cool but it is not the best for sure. It could have a better visual which is too underground style. Restrooms are not the best either, they could be more pleasant. It is a okay only place.
Multiple floors with different kinds of music-place is huge but even then, I'd say the number of people it accommodates is far above the number for fire safety. I went there with some friends for some EDM, DJ Paper Diamonds was playing that night-if you're into that sorta thing you'll like it, otherwise it's just a bunch of scantily clothed college undergrads dancing to okay music-the crowd really is very young. We got table service in the VIP area so my experience was actually quite nice, but will only return for some decent EDM and table service, not otherwise.
The famous music Hall still has a great decor and vibe, and the artists that come through are top notch. Audio system is very good, too
Awesome! Standing for the concert was a bit challenging.
Awesome smallish venue. Could be quicker at the door.
Venue is ok, first time here after they remodeled it from a club, and I ll be honest it s a little too tight for live music events, we were all they way in the back by the bar and I was still getting stepped on and pushed back, probably will think twice before coming to another live concert here
EDM lovers can find their favorite DJ's playing at Friday nights' Girls & Boys parties
I've been here a few times, but the one that stands out most is a girl throwing up on my shoes. Yes, it's the NYC club scene, but come on! And another time, people were shelling out $20 to stand outside in a tiny roped off area to smoke. I mean, thank god you can't smoke inside but come on! Put that money back into the club and lower the drink prices which are RIDICULOUS!
I'd only go back for the Awesome 80s Prom or another reallllllly awesome show.
Great venue space for concerts, well produced, no sound issues, and the drinks were only standard Manhattan expensive rather than absurd.
An unimaginable amount of great times of mine took place in this building. Find a good party and go!
I've been here a couple of times and have mixed feelings: It's not the worst place to see a show, but they do turn the concert space over for late-night events. This can make for an unpleasant end to the concert, when they are sweeping everyone out. Beyond that, it's your basic club venue, with all the charms and drawbacks that suggests.
The staff was not only condescending but also screamed and cursed at us while we were waiting in line. If this was any other establishment, they would have all lost their jobs. They were also incredibly neglectful and failed to help a girl having a panic attack in the crowd. Its really unfortunate that their staff was so awful and getting into the venue was abysmal, because it is a physically nice venue with decently priced tickets. Maybe it was just the staff tonight, but none of them were remotely decent and I can easily say that I will not be returning to this venue ever again. I didn't pay to get screamed/ cursed at by people who were supposed to facilitate a fun evening.
I was fortunate enough to be able to be here opening night for the Jay-Z concert. The remodel came out beautifully with a great mix of both original pieces as well as modern touches to tie in. The prices are what you would expect from a music venue in manhatten so no surprises there, but the service staff as well as everyone else was amazing. Between the sound and lighting it was an amazing show. Looking forward to coming back again.
Worse place ever. To have a event not professional at all as far as management.
Spacious venue with great acoustics, although the bathroom situation is a bit sketchy. Drinks are a wee bit overpriced as well.
I hope it re opens because this is the best club in NYC !! Sooo many great memories and hope to make more very soon
I love this venue! Two levels to pick from whether you'd rather be down in the pit jumping around, or up on the balcony with a great birds eye view. They have a great light system and it always feels like an intimate show here no matter the size. I also really appreciated the thoroughness of the security upon entering- made me feel very safe to be there.
Not even at the place, but the service is terrible. Trying to get tickets to see Kendrick Lamar. "General Admission Tickets & more VIP packages go onsale Friday at noon." It's been 30 mins since then. Just VIP tickets, not General Admission. I've been in line for 30 mins just to see VIP tickets. This is a joke. It has to be. Just incompetent service.
Everyone I want to see plays here, but I hate the structure of all of the performance areas save for the ballroom.
FALSE ADVERTISING, NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT TRUST WHEN THEY POST HEADLINERS...
Not a bad venue but be prepared to pay 12 for a drink
As a professional in the event production space I have a real appreciation for this room
The l'acoustics Kara rig is beautiful sounding. The light rig is very well tuned to the space. Whatever the spots they have are wonderful.
Just loved going to a show here.
I watched blind guardian twice in the past 12 months. Great for rock concerts.
One of the best night club in nyc. You wanna have so much fun go to this club. The music is amazing all kind of music.
Gorgeous venue; wildly expensive drinks even for a venue in Manhattan
Visited here with my three friends just because it is a historic place. We had a lot of fun for three hours but ended up spending fortune for the booze:) but then again we all enjoyed this place very much.
music is good most of the time. interesting people watching some of the time. watered down drinks and expensive. 10 years ago I would've been falling all over myself to get in here, which explains the very serious security. have had some interesting nights here, but I don't love it by any means. the vibe is always "off" for me.
Kept a lot of the spirit of Webster Hall classic, much cleaner + more bathrooms. Cool to see you still have shows for $20 and that you booked an act as awesome as k?d.
#dancefloor #nightout #nocover #indierock #livemusic #concert #standingroomonly
i've been kicked out for leaving the smoking box, don't leave the smoking box, security there are jerks. been to a few cool live shows there, good medium sized venu
quite awful. full of bridge and tunnel kids with fake id's
This place is a staple for any New Yorker into the music scene. Fantastic venue that always provides you with a good time. Lines can be long and security can be strict, but once inside you are almost always guaranteed to have fun
Used to get in for 5 dollars before 12 before the recent renovations; now I highly doubt that will be happening as Webster Hall moves into the 21st century. First an event space that was seen to be dangerous, then became a haven for college kids in the EDM era, now will be another Live Nation event space to charge you 40 bucks for a DJ you might know, playing music that isn't theirs. The alternative, pay 250 plus for an artist you may know.
When it used to be packed back in the day (feel old saying that), the floor would shake so the renovations were definitely long overdue, just sucks to know that another gem has been lost for the culture.
I was there when Nate skate Maloley was physically attacked by severity guards, scared for people like Jacob sartorius performing this week.
I went there on thursday ladies night and....get scared being with only creepy males around, every other desperately trying to hit on you, harass....Damn. Those people definetly dont know about behave themselves.
