A lot of pros and cons to Webster Hall, but some great musical acts perform there and the sound is always good (in the main ballroom at least.)

Perfect venue to see a band not to big not to small.
This place is wild i had so much fun
And and u can get a lady there easy
Awesome venue! Make sure you go to the second floor for a better view!
This venue is renovated, way much better then the old webster hall
Fun place Friday and Saturday nights. Super crowded. Drinks are on par for Manhattan.
Went to Metal Concerts there.
Fun place
Amazing place but horrible crowd, and bouncers are not at all civilized and extremely rude. Your time and money would be better spent at another club.
Good sound, comfortable setup, interesting lounge area, but the older white gentleman working the line in the coat check area was hands down one of the most rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful individuals I have ever interacted with in any business establishment in the United States of America. He should be fired immediately.
Been here several times, this is a huge club with 3 floors with different music types. Sometimes they bring really good DJs so worth checking out. There is a lot of space so you have space to move in spite of the mass of people. The crowd is young kids in their 20s, no dress code
Shows were great, stairs will kill you. There's an elevator but it is not responsive
WH has a lot of good rock & metal shpws, and they don't skimp on the A/C in the summertime... bonus. :)
miss them... please come back! best EDM party in NYC! FO RE VER!
It's an alright venue. There are the crazy guy's that run around when things get wild. And they know what a fake look's like, so the door is where it ends. Drinks are of course costly.
Had a great time. Bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in a club
A coat-check employee stole $20 I had inside my coat pocket! The crowds are full of old and/or weird people. The music is usually bad or just okay. There are plenty of better places to party in NYC.
Good sound quality. Professional staff. Space is set up well so that even if you are stuck at the back or a packed house you still get a good experience.
Spent a while here back in 2012 it is definitely a place to check out once or twice, I would stay away on very busy nights.
I've only been a few times to Webster, as I am from out of town, but every time has been wonderful. I will agree that the drinks are overpriced for what they are, but most music venues tend to be the same way. My only complaint is that the bathrooms could be cleaner.
I had a great time with me and a Buddy of mines. DeJ Loaf performance was type chill.
it's dark and kind of cool in a cavernous kind of way, but the only real appeal is that webster hall often gets killer bands. drinks are outrageously expensive for the venue.
It is a great place to see someone in concert. I would definitely go here again
Old theatres are a great setting for live music events, and they do put on a great show here but security gives off a really bad vibe. They physically feel you up for drugs and are very rude if you ask for help. We were VIP guests backstage and the security at stage entrance kept asking us questions as we came and went setting up for the band.
Great party ballroom was a bit crowded. Needed more bartender
Best lighting engineer in the biz works here. Great venue
As I was a member of the music press for many years, I have attended a number of shows at Webster Hall but never thought to review the venue until now. In the past I've really only had one complaint and that is the safety of the main staircase especially at the end of the show when it can be wet and sticky. But last night I had an exceptional experience. I had emailed the venue earlier in the day regarding seating for people with physical challenges as I am currently walking with a cane & using a back brace due to a disc issue. They responded to just ask at the door & I would be assisted. Well I didn't even have to ask. One of the security staffers saw me and asked if I would need elevator service. I said yes, and he waited on the other side of the scanner. He got the young man scanning tickets at the top of the stairs to come down and scan our tickets & then the security man took my escort & I to the main floor after asking if we wanted to stop on the 1st floor for merch. We were led to the seating area on the side of the room & he pointed out the bar that was part of this area. When we left, the same security man radioed for the elevator and we made our exit with no problems. p.s. The show was great but I didn't expect less because I have seen the headliner at least 10 times. :)
Was awesome!!! Had an amazing time and the staff was top notch!!! They were awesome!! Thanks you for all your help with the scary clowns on stilts!!! From spongebob
I literally love this place. everytime i go my friends, we always have an awesome time. the only thing that bugs me is when people take drinks onto the dance.floor and spill it all over, but that' has nothing to do with the service, but anyways it's always fun I love the top floor the most its more my style of music. great.place!
Turns out this was not where the spelling bee was. My dad wanted to stay though. He said it would be more fun.
Look at me now, dad. I write reveiws for a living.
So excited to come here after it reopened and it didn't disappoint. First of all the staff from the bouncers to the bartenders were all amazing and friendly so high five. Drinks were flowing music was banging me and my friends were having the time of our lives. Then BOOM music ends and lights come on.. It's only 1am...we were just getting started..we paid $70 for tix..like really?? Would have gave 5 stars if it had least went on for another hour
Pretty standard venue in the city, not my favorite but the best part is that there are bars on every level, which is super convenient and let s you stay close to the show/performance if you want to.
Went for a show and it was my first time going to NYC for the night life. Granted the crowds to these are very young I really disliked the event being 19+ and not 21+ I felt like the oldest person there and I'm only 23.
The drinks are cheaper in AC clubs and the Venues are way nicer.
in the future I'm going to AC shows not NYC shows
I've been to webster a bunch of times and it only gets worse and worse. Honestly, they get great acts and Djs but thats ALL they have going for them. You must buy tickets before the event because even if you contact them and they give you a price for at the door, theyll charge you more when you get there, every single time. Theyre just a bunch of crooks feigning for your money. When you get patted down expect to get sexually harassed and groped by the lady, I'm honestly not too sure if thats even legal. She will grab your boobs ladies. They also used to allow camelbaks in as long as it was only water, well apparently you cant do that now because youll have to empty it outside. Its all fun when you get inside and finish waiting in line for an hour and forget about getting harassed and how shitty the place is and how theres no room because they overfill the place. Theyre a bunch of crooks.
I came here ages ago with my friends, and back then, I distinctly remember performers swinging across the dance floor like Tarzan holding onto ropes. There were several acts throughout the night providing tons of eye candy. Well, I went back recently with a friend from out of town. They still had rope-swinging Tarzan's oddly enough, but insanely priced drinks and coat check. Oh well, I guess you can't have it all.
Not bad for the seen some famous DJs $5 for a water
I've been to this venue a couple of times and my problem is security. I don't mind being searched but what bothered me was the female security grabbing my chest. That's just uncalled for. Other than that it's a great spot for shows
Although they do have the nice sound system. It is the Trashiest venue I've every been to. Floors are old, dirty and slippery. Bathroom on the lower level next to the coat check looks sketchy as hell. If you really want to experience New York nightlife, this is definitely not the right place for you
Very fond of the renovations. Excellent sound system.
Idk what to say. They fell off worse than miley cyrus dis
The crowd sucks. Go only if you have nothing else to do !
The place was well air conditioned and didn't feel too cramped. The bar area and bathrooms were modern, clean, and spacious. The architecture brings a lot more character to the place and incorporates into the all around concert experience.
Went there for a cashmere cat show in the grand ballroom it was organized and well manged getting in and out unlike a lot of other club concert places in the city. Most importantly the sound system in the grand ballroom is top of the line and with cashmere cat playing one of the best shows I have been to in a long time.
Haven't been here in 15 years. What a great place! Concerts are more intimate and you can hear the music better. I saw Marc Anthony here, he was close enough to enjoy the music and actually see the artist.
This is for the NEW Webster remodeled after September 2019. Great set up. Speedy check in process. Friendly security. Fair drink prices. No brainer. If a band or DJ you even remotely like is here you gotta check is out!!
Good old time there; I used to go even way back..;)
I last visited for the Andra Day concert and had a blast. There was an issue with her mic and it was promptly fixed.
The drinks are wildly expensive (considering the cup size) but that's to be expected for an NYC venue.
I could be mistaken but I believe I saw the Ramones and Grace Jones here back in the 80s on separate occasions...had a blast.
I love Webster Hall! Huge venue and the staff there are cool and laid back while still being very attentive. They have a nice lounge area near the entrance/exit where you can enjoy some drinks and snacks at the bar before heading upstairs to the main stage areas. There are bars scattered everywhere throughout so you will never go thirsty ;)
It was awesome !! Went to a asap Ferg concert and it was lit
Easy. Small intimate venue, pretty nice view from the balcony. Bars easily accessible on both floors. The bathroom situation is pretty gross, people can be really disgusting.
Not worth the entry price. Ridiculous charges to check in coats. The music is a hit or miss. Sometimes have a cool theme based party going on. Drinks could be cheaper.
loved it from the DJs to the women to even the guy that gives u paper towels in the bathroom.. one.of the.best nights ive ever had
