Just saw Dawes here last night and it was actually a wonderful venue to see them at (and not too crowded, even though the show was sold out). Previous shows that I have seen here have been way too crowded, so this surprised me- had a wonderful time. Will have to see how the next show is, however- drinks are very expensive!

The best venue to go to in my opinion. Been here countless times and never had a bad experience. Three levels of music is hard to find elsewhere.
Security can be a pain and straight rude (like most clubs). Also, never do coat check. It's unorganized. They lost my friends jacket and told him he could have someone else's.

Really really very disappointed with this place! I went to see Gramatik and GRIZ (average performance by the way ..) and I was surprised to see that the price of the locker room was $ 7 per item, that the glass of water at the bar and also paying $ 1 and even the caps earrings that are sold $ 2. The power of sound and like in a lot of other place, too strong. You want to slam your eardrums and hear nothing for 2 days? You have knocked on the right door. All this knowing that my friends and I paid $ 115 each !! A shame for all these annoyances! I'm not even talking about the cleanliness of the place ...
A tip, do not go to party there or even spend the New Year's Eve.
Go your way.

Went here after a debacle at "Greenhouse" in NYC. When arrived a guy tried to sell up passes for $25 versus the $35 price at the door. I didn't believe the $35 door price, but I found out when past the ID check line (I don't know if any else notice but everyone at the establishment do not know prices until your in the building. I find that to be just a moral flaw to the utmost.). When in the club they had a good vibe. All sorts going on inside. A lady walking around with a snake wrapped around her. My GF loved this. People walking on stilts. Also the temperature was nice in the building. My party pretty much stayed on the middle floor. The DJ was hit and miss. I say hit and miss because he would play hot songs, but either cut the mix right when the song got good, or he would talk through the record (really annoying in my opinion). Later through the night it was a good feeling. They even had a pizza shop inside the club and my girl got the hunger so I grabbed her a slice for $4 (a large slice though) The last image of the night was not soo nice though as a young lady was ON THE FLOOR being dry humped. God knows what was on that floor. All in all good night. My lady loved the night so I loved it even more.

Though I have not been there for the club life, I went there for a concert. The Dead by April concert was amazing and since it was my first concert, the atmosphere made it that much better. There was mosh-pitting but there was enough room so that I would not get massacred. The bartender was really funny and attentive. Overall, I would definitely go back the studio!

I've been to all sorts of events here. I like the extensiveness of the venue. The downstairs performance area is surprisingly cozy. The main space on the first floor is a nice general admission concert space, with decent acoustics.

I was here May 9th for Halsey at 10am to get a close spot For people that go to Webster Hall in the future I got there at 10am thinking I d be very close I still was but there was mostly men that got let in first that didn t get there nearly as early people without purses and bags basically got to cut the line. Not fair. And also I put a purse I made on stage for Halsey and security took it and I don t know if he gave it to her but if he couldn t he should ve said it and not kept it and now I don t have it and the place was no help trying to track down the guy who took it.... overall Halsey was amazing tho

I've been for both concerts and the nightclub, it's a pretty good space for both. Grab a few friends and go to have a good time. Drinks are decent, but the prices are what you'd expect at a club in NYC.

I've been to two concerts here and went for the nightclub once. Absolutely 5/5 for the concerts. It can get pretty full but no matter where you are you'll be close enough to the stage for a good view; if you show up when doors open (typically about an hour before the opener) you can get in the first few rows in my experience. The sound system is wonderful and the bars get drinks out quickly but you may have to wait a few minutes. The nightclub on a Saturday night was fun but a bit underwhelming (3/5). All of the floors are open and there's plenty of fun dancing but it's not as full as a concert so there's a lot of open space. The night I went they're were a good number of older, creepyish men trying to hit on younger girls. Overall though the nightclub can be very fun if you're with a larger group of friends or just want to dance with your girlfriend/boyfriend

I've been to this place for random nights out with the girls and concerts featuring Train, Gavin DeGraw, and Vanessa Carlton. During night club events, they have a lot of rooms with different music playing in each one (e.g. hip hop, reggae, salsa, etc.). The drink prices are not cheap, but at least the bartenders usually make them tasty.

I attended the PJ Morgan concert. Much to my surprise, this was a stand up concert. This very important fact should have been communicated online. The show was nice but I could not enjoy it with people on my back. To have people stand from 7 p.m. when the doors opened until 11pm when the show ended is unconscionable . Therefore, I will not attend any shows at this venue again.

I was satisfied with this place. Went here two times for two different EDM shows. The stage on the top floor feels a lot bigger than it actually is due to lighting and effects, which is a huge plus. The bars are overpriced (as expected) so pregaming within a reasonable level is preferred if you're trying to save money.

Webster hall is a great place to attend a concert. It's in a good neighborhood and the venue itself is a good size. Parking is a little tough just like anywhere in Manhattan but there are a number of private parking lots that available for use. Security at this venue was very thorough and made you feel safe while entering.

Not been here for many years. Have been eager to revisit since it reopened in May. It holds 1500 attendees. There is a Coat Check area. Attended with a friend to see Halsey on Thursday night (9th May). Loved the wide stairs on entry. There are no elevators for people with disabilities. There is a small barrier between artists and audience. However, it's not a hindrance. There is a bar at back of the venue. Acoustics are solid. Staff are professional and friendly. I look forward to seeing more shows here.

I would like to personally thank Thomas for his knowledge and expertise at the phone based coat check system. He honestly saved the (evening) after I mixed up my information. He handled the situation swiftly and with the highest level of professionalism.

Thank you

Overall, the Studio and Marlin rooms are no more. The Marlin room is missing a stage, but it gained a fancy bar. After the renovation, only the grand ballroom was left, but they added better restrooms, an elevator, and a greater number of staircases to ease the amount of attendees exiting.

I was fairly disappointed with Webster Hall. The viewing areas for large artists are not the best and you have to be up close or in the VIP area to really get a good view. Drinks are very expensive ($15 for a Vodka Redbull with a lot of ice), and service was very poor. I had to wait over 20 minutes for a drink several times during the night.

We got comped table service here, so it was definitely worth it. Multiple floors of EDM. Doesn't get started until like 11, and there's a good crowd until pretty late. It's a large space to fill though. No free tap water, and a lot of really young people on the hip hop floor

You can feel the energy and the history of this place as soon as you get in.

4 different environments, great sound and acoustic, friendly bartenders, good prices.

It's one of those places where the place actually enhances the concerts.

Solid venue. The mainstage has good sound and easy sight lines, since it is pretty elevated off the floor. The back bar is a bit strange, since it sits in the middle of the floor, thus cutting off any opportunity to stand behind it. But all in all, a good if unremarkable place to see a show.

This place is crazy! Its extremely packed and it feels like you're not even breathing sometimes; had to leave the dancefloor a few times to catch some air. The drinks were expensive. Paid 90$ for 2 shots and 4 vodka redbulls and the cover charge was 35$. I had lots of fun though, the music was great and fun to dance to. Liked that there were different floors with different music. I'll definitely go again but next time I'll be prepared with my entrance tickets on hand. The lines are ridiculous!

Pros:

Pros:
+Great lineups for the Ballroom (Girls & Boys)
+Affordable if you buy in advance or get on the guestlist. Webster Card for NYE is worth it.
+Bassment Saturdays
+Resident DJs and bartenders are friendly.

Cons:
-Expensive drinks. Water isn't free.
-Tighter security than TSA. One bouncer kept bitching about having to search my backpack, even though I came early and wasn't holding up the line. Just do your job and shut up.
-Coat check charged me double for my backpack, and will charge you to take something out during the night.
-I wish they had a 21+ night.

Wonderful venue. Great staff. My only dislikes are that the coat check is $6 and they don't serve cups of water, only bottles, FOR $6! EEK. It was a good time, but definitely a downer that we would go thirsty if we didn't shell out an insane amount of money for something that should be free, especially for the kind of concerts that the venue puts on. Aside from the high costs, the venue is very easy to access, very easy to get around and enjoy!

I remember back in the days when I used to go here a lot (Thursdays), it used to be a grown crowd and fun but now when I happen to go nowadays, just a bunch of "very youngsters". It is more fun going with groups.

I like this music venue because of its fantastic location. It's so accessible and when you're done you can easily get to a cab or the trains. The major issue is the fact that it is OLD. I mean, floors squeaky to the point where you are not sure if you might fall through where you're standing. I don't think the owners have any intention of remodeling it, and as of now the stairs are intensely steep. I've come here a couple times for big parties and those stairs always freak me out.
