Terrible exchange rate, smelly toilet, annoying taxis and tuk tuks at the arrival area and expensive domestic flights. Slowly improving though! Tuk Tuk always take me a long way around to make excuses for more fee. Like come on!

For foreigners arriving; be aware that the customs agents assigning visas at immigration are notorious for ripping off tourists. It's fine in plain site, even though there are signs posted about the agents stating the visa costs they will often still try to low to you and say it's more. Don't believe them. They will also short change you, so be sure to count your change

April 2015: A visa on arrival is required (at least if you hold an Italian or an Australian passport). At the entrance of the immigration little room, a guard will give you a little piece of paper where you will mainly fill a form declaring that you are not sick - health form. The other two papers, for entry and departure, will have been filled on the flight to Cambodia.

You willy then queue to get a visa form and, if you don't have a passport photo, paying an extra US$2 will be sufficient to have one photo organized on the spot. They will hold you passport for about 5 mins, sometimes same group of people may experience different time. Mine was done in 5 mins, my partner it took 15 mins. Same type of passport.. Don't ask them why ;-)

There is an ATM in the room, you can withdraw up to US $250.00 (this is the ATM limit independent from your card/bank limit) and there is a $5 commission (in all Cambodia I have always found a $5 commission at the ATMs).

After 10 mins your visa is ready and you will have to pay US$30 to get the passport with the visa label on it. It is a 30 day visa and work is obviously not permitted.

Enjoy Phnom Penh.
Btw A taxi to the city is about US$10-12, but I would strongly suggest you to get out of the airport, this means just walking 200 meters, and take a tuk tuk (a motorcycle with attached a 4/6 pax seats) for about US$6 (the may ask you $10 but you should tell them always half of what they ask you). Faster, safe as the taxi but with no Aircon.. You will enjoy it. And the ride around in the middle of the highly congested streets of Cambodia's capital. In the city a tuk tuk will cost $5 independently where you wanna go. but if you tell them half of it, $2.50, this will still be a great deal for the young tuk-tuk driver. Trust me, he will be more than happy to take you around at that price.. That is for them about uS$25.

US$1 = 4000 real on April 2015, I think the exchange is fixed. Thus 1000 real are 25c. To understand the value of the money you should multiply x 10 their prices and this should what you pay in your West Country. A beer is US$0.5/$1, then you multiply it for 10, and you get $5 or $10 that are the prices in America or in Australia.. Converting to euros you see that are exactly 3/ 6 euros that is what you pay in most West Europe countries..
On the ATM you will withdraw in US$, and only if you wanna take some very small amounts you can withdraw 40000 reals, that are US$10!

Enjoy this wonderful place

Kinda small for a capital city and out of town. Everything needs money, even for massage chairs. There is barely anything to eat at that is not expensive. Burger King cost more than Singapore, and there is only 4 eateries, like come on! Most important of all, DO NOT GET SCAMMED. They charge 18 USD for a ride into town and grab charges only 6USD. Our flight also got delayed, duh

It is a busy airport. I think the biggest in Cambodia. The immigration process is fast. The visa on arrival for single entry and one money is $30. Please carry change a passport photograph. Be prompt in finishing the visa form because the queue can be longer

When I first arrived in Phnom Penh, the Phnom Penh International Airport, which was decorated like a forest, was impressed with a large billboard saying welcome. Instead, it took a long time because I didn't get my visa and got in line to get a visa there. The airport itself was also tidy. There are many tourists looking around the airport, and it is very hot when you go out, but it is a place where you can start thinking about starting a trip. It was good because I like the feeling that is unique to Southeast Asia.
Even if it wasn't that big, it was still fine and the bathroom was clean when I went. It smells good. Besides, there seemed to be many facilities.

I will specifically ask for a bribe from the Taiwanese. I will ask for a "tip" directly in Chinese. I will refuse it. As a result, my passport will not be disposed of. I will slowly stamp it after the protest. Such a customs is really a shame in Cambodia.

The bathroom is dirty!
Some staff are not friendly to guests
Just enter the guests in less than 5 minutes, also charge a very expensive parking fee!

The medium-sized airport is well equipped, the toilet is clean, and the staff is efficient. It is a very comfortable airport. Medium sized airport. Well equipment with clean bathrooms and efficiency workers. It s a nice and comfortable airport.

My luggage weight was heavier than the maximum allowed and thanks to the airport check in employees I could successfully solve the problem without paying the corresponding extra luggage fine.
My suggestion is that's the wrapping area should be much more clearly visualized. It took me too much time to find it... Eventually the airport staff is quite polite and helpful. Many thanks.

At first sight an excellent new airport. BUT! He seems to be closing at night, at least when we arrived at 23-00 did not work any cafe around, well at least you could buy a sim card (as you go out to the left). And the biggest shock is the lack of a storage room! We arrived for a few hours in Phnom Penh, wanted to walk around the city and got stuck in a airport with luggage, because taking it with us for a walk was very hard. I first see an international airport where there is no storage room! That's how Cambodia treats tourists.

It s ok for taking flights but everything else is just beyond the joke. Don t try to get food there meals are at least 3 times the price with portions that wouldn t even get a baby full. Duty free may be free of tax but that doesn t mean it is cheaper at all. Get there just slightly two hours before your flight and don t waste your precious life at this rip off place

This is a small airport with basic facilities.

This is a small airport with basic facilities.
I arrived 4hours before departure which was too early. Checkin counters open only 2 hrs prior departure.
If you have only hand luggage then better to do prior web checkin becoz it has separete checkin counter.
Immigration clearance is smooth.
Security inspection was little slow in the morning as there was only one person running around. May be people will increase more later.
Food courts are available both before and after immigration but with very high prices.

After closing in the Khmer Rouge for nearly four years, the messenger arranged for order and reopened to the visitors on April 13, 1980, with a high-school diploma High School was appointed to be the next leader of management including Ouk Sunheng. Then came Pich Keo (1991-1996). On September 26, 1996, the transfer ceremony between Mr. Pich Keo and Mr. Khun Samen was presided over by His Excellency Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Nuth Narin at National Reconciliation Commission. Finally, Kong Vireak arrives today.

Initially, the national messenger was a building in the former Preah Vihear High School, known as the "messenger". When a national messenger (modern translator) was built, the official post was replaced by the national messenger, translated as "the messenger of the kamma".

After its inauguration in 1920, the delegation was renamed "The Alabama Subway". And in 1996, it was renamed the "National Reconciliation Commission of Cambodia". By 1979, the messenger was renamed as "archaeological remnants." Then, in the time of Pich Chea, the secretary of the messenger was renamed the "National Armed Forces of Cambodia"

Very small airport; doesn't have sufficient sign (hence they require more staff to indicate the road); very less toilet (not to mention the dirty and smelly toilet); the parking area is horrible; the passenger arrival area is a mess...

seems like in Cambodia, every construction takes years and years to finish, ex: the always-underconstruction roads what a country!

There are some shops but limited in choice. Small, clean and basic airport. There was no problem getting a transport outside the airport to the city centre. People could only receive their guests outside the airport which was not typical of most arrival halls which the act was done within the airport.

Construction is going on in the departure area. Ac ain't working. Uncomfortably hot and humid esp at gate 7 and Taste of Asia

The only food available is Taste of Asia in the departure area. Expect to pay 6-9 USD for a meal

There is a blue pumpkin downstairs which ain't too big.

It's a very small but well organized airport. Bring your own snacks since there are not many options to sit down and grab a bite. They have free WiFi. If you are arriving in Phnom Penh and heading to the city center it's safe to take one of the Tuc Tucs waiting in front of the airport. The ride will take 30-45 minutes and should not be more that 5-6 USD.

The airport is small and manageable. Entry is easy. A Visa on Arrival costs US $ 30 and is easily available: just fill out the form already on the plane and hand it in at the counter (a passport photo is no longer required), pay and wait. In front of the building, after the exit on the left, there are ATMs / ATMs for withdrawing cash using a Maestro / credit card. A taxi into the city costs US $ 12/15/18 depending on the distance.

It's a quiet friendly airport with all basic requirements and a trained staff to guide you.. Be careful with the cab driver and simcard vendors... Rest is OK as its a growing country's capital so still in a developing phase..
