This airport is definitely getting better. Arrivals is pretty basic. Toilets are clean. Baggage always comes through. There are some new baggage carousels. Go to counter straight ahead of arrival doors, before Customs counters, for Visa on Arrival application & processing. Pretty legitimate & straight forward at this arrival point.
If its hot, take a taxi with A/c mostly metered nowadays. Otherwise a Tuk tuk or Moto (motorbike taxi) is fine. Bargain first. Download something like PassApp to book cheap local taxis and tuktuks, then watch their location as they arrive and drive to your destination.
Departures is now a lot more swish. With modern (somewhat limited) cheap duty free. Retail & food options also available. Not too expensive as far as world airports are concerned. Upstairs there is a paid lounge and a very good massage service offered by Samata, whose main branch is in BKK1. The waiting seats adjacent to the gates are still pretty basic.
Lots of construction happening both inside and outside so expect more services. Watch this space

Such a small airport! I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours and I got there 10 mins before boarding but luckily check in gate was still opened and flight was delayed for an hour so I had time to look around the area before I get on the flight.

Nice, clean, but does not catch wi-fi, so use it before leaving the airport or go to the check-in area. A representative office of mobile communication companies is located on the right. Cashiers speak English and will help you choose a suitable tariff. In addition to the $, they also take Thai money.

Very small airport. Doesn't feel like it's the capital. Security and immigration area hassle free. However there aren't enough eateries or a good eating area despite having quite a big duty free shopping area.

The usual small airport, flew in, gave a couple of bucks to a man, got a visa without waiting in line. It took 3 minutes for everything about everything) so there was no time to look at the airport itself))

For a departures review, I think that this is quite a nice airport. Before checkin, the are airline offices, money exchange and a post office to access as well as a Krispy Kreme and some other services. Passport control was easy as well as the security check. The furniture is new and the venue is spotless! Very impressed and look forward to future extensions

2pm on a weekend and they decide to paint the walls and ceiling. Wouldn't be a problem if they bothered to ventilate or crack open a window. I love me a good huff of paint fumes against me choice in a closed section where I can't leave. 0/10 bring a gas mask

A very small airport with unclear signs of direction. Staff hardly smile. We waited a long time at the baggage check. Shops were hard to come by and super expensive. $3 for a tiny piece of cake! CHEATING STAFF! Dont book your taxi at their stand! $18 for a ride to town! Book it at grab and get it at half the price. The staff had very poor english. We had great difficulty communicating with them. 15 minutes for an SIM card! My worst experience in an airport

This airport has been developing in the last few years. There is not much place to kill time. But the area is expanding. The first Starbucks in Cambodia is there. The price of cafes and souvenirs are relatively higher than shops at other malls. But if you are in a rush, they have a variety of options.

I found all the workers, except the border officers, extremely nice and friendly. However, the border officials were so unkind that I will likely never use this airport against. The officers at the border control in the Phnom Penh International Air port are unkind, rude, and condescending. Instead of helping you with problems, they merely just point to the same thing and repeat themselves over and over again. I was got stressed due to their lack of communication and overall attitude. Then they started laughing at me. It was completely unprofessional behavior for employees of the government. They brought over multiple people to try to help me but everyone said the same thing and did not explain the problem well. The more people they brought the more of a subject of ridicule I became. Generally, I found the people in Cambodian quite pleasant but these 6 men were not among them.

I arrived at 7pm local time. I had a visa on arrival. I didn t have many queues. The staff who applied for the visa at the window could speak Chinese. It was very good. I didn t ask you for a tip, but I still gave it a little bit. The attitude of the customs window is relatively cold.

The gang was not fastened right away; they forgot to put the visa on the visa, which was why they had to return from the passport control. It is desirable to have a photo for a visa, otherwise, for a copy of the photo from the passport will have to pay $ 3

Toilets are quite clean, although after Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, they do not reach the ideal a bit.

Tukuk at the airport is cheaper than on the street, if take those who just brought passengers
