Loved the room (mostly). It had a nice little bench built in beneath the window to sit on and overlook the city. I think all or most rooms have this set up. The decor was very nice. On the downside, the bathroom door has a very heavy sliding barndoor style door. As an adult of reasonable strength I had to throw my weight into closing it. It also leaves a large gap. If this is in double bed rooms, it's a detriment to privacy. I could see my partner showering through the gap from the bed. Also, the hot water is near scalding and takes awhile to clear the pipes. I resigned myself to only cold water in the sink, the moment I so much as turned the hot faucet the water was too hot to touch. Service was mostly good with some nice amenities. The first night we had an issue with hearing our neighbor's TV (thin walls) but the staff doggedly worked for an hour to deal with it until our neighbor finally heard them. The second night, we requested extra towels and never got them, but maybe it got lost in all the holiday activity. Aside from never getting those towels, the barndoor bathroom, and scalding faucet, I think the good outweighs the bad enough for 5 stars.

Good location and service. Clean. My room wasn't brand new, but still in reasonable condition and with reasonable fixtures/furniture.

You do have to pay an additional cost for wifi in your room... Which I think is unreasonable considering that a $60/night motel can afford free wifi for its customers... So why can't this one?

Very nice hotel. We were hoping for there to be a pool, but there isn't one-- although there are some pictures on Google maps that make it seem like there is a rooftop pool!! Aside from that our stay was great. The staff were accommodating and the in-hotel restaurants as well as the room service were really delicious.

Our stay was awesome. Stayed over Valentines weekend. Good location. The inside is awesome. A DJ was playing in the lobby bar area. The second floor outdoor bar is really cool. Expensive but that is the scene. Very LGBT heavy here. The only drawback is the only parking is valet. No regular parking. Just street.

We quite enjoyed our stay at this hotel, comfy beds, etc; although there were a few things that were not mentioned when we booked this hotel that left us unsure if we'd stay again, not to mention some empty bottles from the previous guests were found also... I booked it through Expedia and when we checked out, we ended up paying more than what Expedia told us we would be paying. Also no one told us it would be $50 dollars a day to park our vehicle through valet... We stayed for 3 days. $150?! That is insane! OR our other options were to find parking lots that were $40+ dollars a day to park. If we were aware of all these additional charges, I more than likely would have stuck with my routine Hilton hotels to stay. We also were supposed to have a room with a view, although we had a semi-city view, it was not the view we were promised. For spending more than $500 to stay, I was expecting more accommodations for sure.

Hello

I was not an overnight guest at the hotel. However, I was here on 2/12 and 2/13 of 2019 for a conference. The lobby/restaurant area was nice. All the hotel staff were friendly and greeted me regularly. Our conference room was a little small, but I think that was not the hotel's fault but more of an conference host logistics error. The lobby men's room was clean, not white glove clean, but clean. It did have a regular foul odor. I was surprised one of the soap dispensers was left empty for about 3-hours +, makes me wonder how often the restroom is tended too. If you bring your car here, be prepared to either valet or pay $45 for 24- hour self parking at a near by lot, if you can get a spot. This location is an easy walk to many tourist areas of down town. Again, I did not see any of the rooms or stay at the hotel overnight, so I cannot rate that.

Rooms are modern and decorated coolly. The view was great, food, decor, and ambience perfect! The bed was not soft at all and parking was crazy difficult to understand and not clear. Lastly, I didn't like how mercenary the hotel was with in-room snacks, entertainment, and bottled water. Alyssa the manager was incredibly helpful and is awesome!

The rooms are very clean and housekeeping is polite. The only issue, if I would even call it that, was that the shower head randomly leaked and the sounds actually woke me up once. The food that was served was all very well done, so in my opinion overcooked. Meeting rooms had chairs that you could not sit at because of the table legs.

Nice hotel in the Financial District of San Diego. About a 5 minute walk from the waterfront. Front desk staff were a little unfriendly, but the valet guys were great. Nice lounge area for reward members with good breakfast and late afternoon selection.

By far the best hotels I've stayed at. Every hotel is unique and has its own zen about it. One of my favorite attributes of the W is the unprecedented level of guest oriented services. When they say "Whatever Whenever Experience" they really mean it. This last trip i forgot my toiletries tote. I had mentioned it and they happily gave my anything that you could think of. Not to mention the rooftop bar and pool; make for a great place to relax fireside with friends, drinks, and music. Overall if there is a W where I'm headed it will be my first choice.

Great place, nice decor. The location is unbeatable. Is in the middle of Little Italy, the Midway and the Gaslamp Quarter. Beads are comfortable, clean room and spacious.

The bars is also a cool place to hang out.

The space is beautiful and clean and in a great location but they nickel and dime you; $40 for parking, $25 charge for a fridge or microwave and breakfast is not complimentary. I will not be back.

We had such a great stay here. Beautiful, clean rooms, friendly staff, curtains that blocked the city lights, and walking proximity to great food. I hope we can stay here again. The only downside is the parking (all $35+ ACE lots around the hotel) but it's worth it honestly.

Beautiful place and great location but horrible nights sleep. Extremely noisy early morning. The windows must be very thin. We heard NON STOP backup beepers and loads of other horns and odd buzzers. Who knows what we were hearing but it sounded like our windows were literally wide open. Not ideal for a good sleep unless you plan to be up around 4am anyways

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Valet parking is $40, but there is a parking structure (not affiliated) nearby for $25 overnight. Great modern designed rooms with nice views. Plenty of power outlets! Newer TV's with built in Netflix. The room we stayed in had a bench to sit on by the window, which was a comfy spot for reading. The breakfast is great. The gym is small and it was busy when we went. Definitely recommend the stay!

Excellent check in, very nice hotel, location a short Uber ride from 5th St. Gaslamp action. Very courteous staff, $49 valet parking for guests is excessive use nearby (across street) 24 hour car park to save.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing! Great location within walking distance to the water and to the Gaslamp area. The room was clean and the food was delicious.

The location is nice. Not super close to the convention center that I was planning on going to but near lots of restaurants. Easy to get a ride to wherever you need to go. Rooms are nice and there are a couple of bars in the hotel to visit including one on the roof.

The staff at the reception was very helpful. We were celebrating our 2nd anniversary and the lady at the reception remembered and was kind enough to send strawberries and champagne to our room. Overall a good experience.

I was in SD for business. The room was clean and felt fresh. The staff was helpful and well mannered. The bar staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The only drawback is that the menu at the restaurant is limited.

Let's see if give it a three because thier was nothen for free in this hotel.will okay only the water and the coffee and I had to find out by somebody else that you can have a coffee pot In your room no microwave auggg the music they have in the lobby sounds like porn music. And what sucks is that you have the ugliest window view all I saw was constructionot work unless you go out to the elevator thiers the beach view. Security is good. Service was slow but good. People were good. Really nice cleaning lady 10th floor. Prices were to high and no free breakfast. Really!!!! Will thiers always first time and last time for everything. Not commen to this place again. And thiers no close stores or restaurant all walking distance. Next time I'm getting a hotel close to restaurants, stores and free breakfast at least.

Hotel is very clean, and reasonably priced. Valet parking is 48 a night and there is a self parking public lot across the street for 40. Nothing really to say about this place. It's overall nice

The hotel and the staff are amazing! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the shower is.not very good (I have long hair and it would take an eternity to wash it). The location is good, 6 blocks to the restaurants in little Italy and two blocks to Broadway st. The trolley is only two blocks away. Lots of bus stops near.
