They hire sexual predators it seems. Just Google the instances. Camp counselor going after little kids, one life guard there hounded me for months until I canceled my membership. Just because it's a Jewish facility, doesn't mean that it's safe for women and kids. I am disgusted and disappointed and have no more faith left in humanity after I realized I wasn't even safe at a Jewish Rec Center/gym/YMCA etc...

I try to exercise every day at The JCC. I exercise here because I want to make a great day. I am thankful for having a clean,friendly gym. When I go I am always greeted pleasantly. I am a chiropractor and the people I see every morning at the JCC are my friends. I even go On hiking trips around the country with them. If you are contemplating joining the JCC do it you will not regret it. You will see me there every day at 7am
I went as a group with my school to the ziplining/Tree obstacle section and the only word I can use to explain it is FUN!!! I had such a great time and the staff were so nice to us! I would DEFINITELY go again!
Far from the greatest youth roller hockey offering, but the practice rink is a nice touch. Overall impressive facility.
First, I must clarify: this is a review of the JCC Day Camp, not one about the actual facility itself. As not only a former camper, but as a staff member as well, I can vouch for the fact that the camp uses the JCCs stunning facility as a veneer to disguise a grossly unorganized and unprepared camp. Under the pretense of a professional institution, they hire completely incompetent and unqualified high school graduates to deal with kids with special needs which obviously require training for specialized assistance.
In fact, I have seen first hand instances where councilors have been physical with special needs camper as well as have been verbally abusive (with profanity) when directing campers.
This issue starts from the top down where a group of economical, greedy and out of touch administrative figures constantly switch up the schedule to ensure they have to spend the least amount of money on activities with no regard for the kids or their enjoyment.
To make matters worse, these arbitrary schedule changes are, in a grotesque form of unprofessional incompetence, never conveyed properly to the staff, which leaves the confused and uninformed counselors with no idea or structure of what to do with these kids; and, already getting paid substantially below the minimum wage, how can one even expect these councilors to enthusiastically entertain these kids with no structure? I would highly recommend against enrolling in this camp as well as strongly suggest not working there if you value your self worth and dignity (emblematic of this fact: 11 staff members quit within the first two weeks of camp).
To make matters worse, they had this review previously removed under false pretenses so that the reviews would not accurately describe their product to parents.
If anyone wants to verify these claims they may talk to any of the junior staff that begrudgingly still work there.
Every Community should have a place like this. Beautiful Programs & Activity Schedule that bring children and families together. An extremely warm & welcoming environment. I'm impressed!

So many fabulous things to do here. You don't need to be of the Jewish faith to join. You should really stop in and check them out.
From fitness to arts and entertainment. They have so much for the entire family.

Wonderful, welcoming place for people of all ages. It is much more a community center. You do not need to be Jewish to belong and feel welcome here. Large, well equipped and maintained fitness facility. Extensive class schedule with lots of variety. Wonderful place to belong.
Great place to workout. Staff in executive locker-rooms are fantastic. Highly recommend getting a membership here. Only downfall is the hours they are open... should be open later.
I'm scheduled to shoot a bar mitzvah next month and Tina Tringali showed me around the place. Super cool gal and super cool facility! First time there and I'm excited to network next month!

When I save some money I would love to sign up for full membership for my family. I really like the staff, they are friendly and professional. I had heard that they displayed discrimination but I have not experienced that at all! It is always important to get your own experience. This is a great place. They could use some updating in the locker rooms. I also love the swim apparel dryer that thing will dry your swim suit so fast. Awesome!
As a member to the fitness center i can say they keep up on the machines and its always clean
Was thinking about getting a health club membership at JCC in West Bloomfield. Left three voicemails to Renee over the course of two weeks, not a single call back. If it was a private company they'd be out of business long time ago, luckily for them they get to slack off at the expense of the Jewish community. LifeTime, here I come.
A wonderful and full service community center including expansive and modern fitness facilities, a great theatre, a frequently updated art gallery, and a lovely library. Lots of classes available at all level of fitness, interesting lectures and programs abound, and something to do is available for all ages.
It s a very nice place but the food bar is often closed
Only went to the pool as a guest. A little regimented with the pandemic hysteria, but a very nice large multi-purpose pool.

I was disappointed to find out that the 6am MWF Bootcamp with Jimi had been canceled (this class was the only reason I had a JCC membership). The JCC did not even give even a week's notice that it would be canceled. Furthermore, the management lied to its membership stating that Jimi was no longer doing the Bootcamps because of "scheduling conflicts". The only scheduling conflict was that he wanted to be there, and they didn't want them there.
When I canceled my membership, I requested to not have to pay for next month's dues because of the circumstances listed above. I was charged today for another 30 days, yet I will never be stepping foot back inside of that Fitness Center.
The JCC Fitness Center is old, boring, and extremely expensive. For a basic membership (no frills locker room, no sauna, no jacuzzi), it's $65 a month. For the Executive Locker Room access, which includes a nicer locker room, sauna, and jacuzzi, the price is $110 per month. It's a rip off.
The management at this establishment is in need of replacing. There is nepotism abound and most, if not all, of the equipment is donated. The gym is advertised as "State if the Art"...really?!?
Don't waste your time or money. This place is a dump.
kid takes swim classes here.. looks clean and busy.. nice pool, good instructors..
Awesome fitness center. Has a great set of fitness classes. Very hygienic and a great place to workout!
Our kids attend daycare here and swim class. Both are amazing and highly recommended
