My HVAC system is 20 years old and thought it was time to take the plunge into a new one. I had four Companies visit my house all service agents from the major manufacturers. Jim Edminister visited my home on behalf of WF Hann. He was the only guy that actually measured my home and told me that the furnace and AC units currently in my house were too big. I was concerned that 3 out of 4 companies wanted to put in the same HVAC system so Sal the Sales Manager dropped everything to come out and remeasure to verify Jim's result. He confirmed that Jim's measurements were correct. This extra service made my decision easy to buy my system from WF Hann.

Would not recommend. 2 stars just because staff and service tech were friendly enough and responded quickly --- but way over-priced.

Wanted $100 a pound for R140a refrigerant while three other companies wanted around $25-30. I know for a fact it wasn't R-22 as two different people within the company told me that price. Wanted $200 to $300 for a leak test when others were sub $100. Paid $140 for an overtime service call that resulted in just someone coming out and saying I had no Freon in the machine. I understand the nature of the service call and having to pay - but they didn't have anything to test for the leak at that time and said they had to come back - not prepared at all and waste of my time.

They called back next day to ask how I felt about my service and when I mentioned that honestly not too happy (for the above reasons) was sent to some 'managers' mailbox to never hear back. Clearly not interested in solving any issues - happy to take my cash and run.

Bottom Line - Seems like they want to sell you a new AC unit instead of fix the actual problem. Was told I was looking at close to $1500 to $2000. "It may be worth just getting a whole new machine." I got a slight mixed feeling of them taking advantage of people who don't know any better ($100+ Freon, I am a 1st time house owner) and using a 'rock and a hard place' (Broken AC right before summer) type situation to pressure you into a new AC unit. I ended up getting it fixed by another company for a much more reasonable rate (<$500).

All and all seemed like a reputable enough company and did what they said they would do, just a complete non-value - borderline rip off- at those prices.

W.F. Hann provides excellent service and is VERY Professional. Their installer Tim Powell was courteous and timely. We were not supposed to get installation until 10/20/18, but they moved it up and did the install on 10/17/18. The new Carrier furnace is just Wonderful. If you are in need of a new furnace, please do give W. F. Hann a call. You will not be sorry!!

W. F. Hann is the top of the line in Heating ,Cooling and Plumbing. They pay attention to detail right from scheduling the appointment to completion. I am beyond satisfied, so glad I found them.

After dealing with overpriced and often inept local shops, we decided to try W.F. Hann & Sons after reading all of the positive Google & Yelp reviews, which did not steer us wrong. Each tech (for plumbing and HVAC) has been professional, friendly, respectful of our property, and each job has come in well done, on time, and at a very reasonable price. I won't use anyone else from here on out, and encourage anyone who is looking for a good plumbing and/or HVAC company to look no further! Special shout-out to Don Lowe, whose friendly professionalism, honest opinions, deep knowledge, and superior expertise have been invaluable to us in multiple homes.

A company recommended them and I'm happy I called W. F. Hann & sons!!!. We just moved into new home and Had problems with my funky geothermal unit. I called them and immediately the specialist said "yep, I know what's going on". An hour later it's working, all winter we had zero problems:) They also replaced old main water line at another home we own and updated old pipes. They waste no time! Service work was so great I started a service contract with them. Definitely worth it. Thank you

The service from W F Hann was excellent. John, who worked on repairing the furnace, came immediately, and when his first attempt to fix the furnace did not work, he came back the second day, and replaced the key parts that needed to be fixed; but, on the first day, rather than just trying to replace parts, he worked out what needed to be done (open up more registers), so that when he replaced parts on the second day, it is much more likely that the furnace will keep working. This is excellent! Mark, the plumber, fixed many things in the house, and when I pointed out that when the plunger was down, the new fixture in the sink leaked, he came back the next day and replaced the entire fixture. This is also excellent service, and both service men were courteous, explained what they were doing, and had good advice for keeping things working for the future.

I appreciated the time that was taken to explain the choices we had for a new air conditioning unit. Rick was knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Dan, the installer, was meticulous in his work. He then provided a complete explanation of the new unit and thermostat. Thank you for a high quality job that was so well done!

I had very positive experience with the representatives from W.F. Hann and Sons. They were warm and friendly during the initial assessment and during the completion of the installments. They notified me prior to their arrival and where punctual. The sales rep was very knowledgeable about various HVAC products, and I felt that I had a good understanding of the choices I had made. The installers where professional and I was comfortable with them being here. They were helpful with helping me set up my remote system, and offered valuable insight on how to edit settings from home and while away. I highly recommend them to anyone who has HVAC repair or replacement needs.

This is the second time Frank has done regular maintenance for me. He s always so polite and careful with getting his equipment in the house. He goes over his findings and recommendations and always resets my panel because I m not techy.

Very prompt and professional, they treat your home like it was theirs. I expected so much more with the great reviews from this company. However, my experience was poor and I would not recommend them! I found the staff extremely rude and snappy. They were not honest, regarding communication with the client and the salesman tried to sell me expensive, additional equipment that was not needed in my home. Beware that is never a good thing. The management was rude and showed no interest.

I had a great experience with this W.F.Hann. The technician was right on time, was courteous and explained what he was going to do as he checked our unit. I needed a small repair and he took care of quickly and for a fair price. Will be using them again in the future!

I've had W.F. Hann out several times for different jobs. I'm always pleased with their work and professionalism. There was an instance where a mistake was made and they were quick to correct it without hassle. They're also honest. I had a problem that they could have fixed and charged me a astronomical amount for, but it was really something that the city should have fixed without any expense to me. They recommended I contact the city and then they even spoke with people at the Public Works to better explain why the city should fix it. A less honorable company would have done the job themselves and sent me a huge bill. I didn't start with W. F. Hann, but now I won't use anyone else.

They sent a technician to my house to give me a plumbing inspection and an estimate on some bathroom work. He was friendly & courteous, he worked quickly, but stayed and answered all of my questions and helped me understand the situation I was in and my available options. I thought the quote he gave was a little high, which is out of his control, but I will seriously consider using WF Hann for my plumbing needs in the future.

My experience was exceptional. I contacted W.F. Hann and Son because my shower handle broke off while turning my shower off. I had to get out of the shower to retrieve some tools to shut off the water. This is the only shower in my house and after going to Lowe s I was told to reach out to Moen for replacement parts or I could change out the entire system. After contacting W.F. Hann and Son they were able to have a plumber (Dave) meet me at my house. Dave was very knowledgeable and explained all my options and possibilities. Although my part was no longer available, he was able to replace it with a compatible newer part and had completed the job within an hour. Thanks Dave, and thank you W.F. Hann and Son

WF Hann is great about calling to schedule well in advance of the designated date. We failed to call back timely, but they still managed to get us scheduled before our renewal date was up. They call ahead of arrival, giving us time to leave work to meet them, and complete the service efficiently. The guys are conscientious, and always ask if there are any issues or additional needs that we have, and take care of it. We couldn't ask for better service anywhere. Thank you!

Buyer beware: I was charged an $89 service call fee when no service was performed. I called this company for HVAC and plumbing issues, which I still have. After they visited, I expected a summary and/or recommendation in writing, especially since I could not be at the house when they came. Only after a great deal of back & forth with an accounting person, did they finally tell me that they couldn t figure out the problems at my house. I explained that $89 seems way too high for that, but they refused to drop or reduce the charges.
The 5 different people I dealt with at this company were all incredibly unprofessional and slippery. I would name them but they are very stingy with giving out names (another red flag).
I am shocked that there aren t many negative reviews of this company. Maybe they used to have some integrity, but have gone downhill?

Our service tech, Frank, called with his arrival time, was punctual, and he explained all the services and options that were available. I always ask for Frank when I set up my appointment. He is neat while he is working and always cleans up after. Frank is a great representative of W. F. Hanna and Sons.

The service technician was thorough and used the latest diagnostic tools to perform basic maintenance on our furnace. He was knowledgable and offered advice on replacing the system in the future when needed.

We have used W.F. Hann for heating and plumbing for many years. Their prices are fair. They always arrive at the scheduled time. Their technicians are always skilled, polite, and considerate of our home. They clearly explain what they find. They do not push unneeded goods or services. We are very pleased with their work.

I have used WF Hahn for over 25 years. They never disappointed me. Their technicians are polite and well trained.

What I like about Hann & Sons is they do a good job and clean up when they are finished doing there work. The person I like is Leonard. He is very nice to us and if we have any questions as what he is going to do or what he has done Leonard will take the time and explain everything. I like that. I can tell Len that i just cleaned the filters but he will check them anyway. Len knows what has to be done and if it is something that he has to talk about Len will take the time and explain how to correct the problem if there is one. Good service man and we consider him our friend. My wife is 86 and I am 87 and we don't need a company to take advantage of us and Hann & Sons is who won't take advantage of us. We also like Dan who use to take care of us but he now has a sit down job but always there if we need him. A good company.

Haan's technician, Chuck, arrived a few minutes early, was personable, answered our questions without hesitation, and definitely had the situation under control. I will request Chuck on our next call.

The furnace blower went Kaput. It may be mid-April, but the temp in my house was in the 40s when I woke up. W F Hanna got here quickly, assessed the problem, ordered the part, & quickly returned hot fix it. Best HVAC Company I know.

Rick was very good. He didn't talk down to me and understood that I could also talk the language. This helped him move forward quicker. I have also told others of my offer.

arrived on time. had lines jetted. seemd like a lot of money then was charged $22 for dye that was not told before hand. not convinced one of the blockages was cleared.

We've been a customer of WF Hann for nearly 15 years and three homes. We've always always had great customer service, expert technicians and trustworthy advice. In our new home, our 21-year-old AC hit it's last leg. We were advised of many options we had to fix it for short term or replace it. We decided to replace it. The sales process was clear and easy, the installation was swift. We love our new unit and noticed a difference in cooling and technology right away. We we continue to be happy on-contract customers. When comparing heat pumps on-line, the common piece of advice I saw was "installation is key". The team that took care of me was excellent from start to finish .. my account manager Barrett, and 3 very professional installers, David, Rudy and Mitch. Nothing was a mystery .. I was consulted, advised and updated every step of the way.

Can't say enough good things about their customer service, we recently moved and needed a new HVAC company, spoke with Tracy and after hearing my needs worked hard to get me a sooner appointment then the month they were booking out, she was super friendly and went above and beyond to help me, as such they now have a new customer and advocate who will recomend them to friends and family.

When technician came out. He was on time and friendly, I had lots of questions and he was very professional and took time to explain everything he was doing and how my systems worked.

I have used W.F.Hahn and Sons for well over 20 years. I have found them very responsive to their customers needs. I have a boiler and not every company seems to have experienced skilled technicians in this area they do and I am grateful for their expertise.

They were very professional and knowledgeable. They were able to get my boiler back up and running properly even though the boiler is in a difficult to service area. I would recommend them and use their services again.

Don't be fooled by the good reviews.
They will charge you 99 dollars just to show up.
You will get an insane hi bid.
And to top it off they will tell you on top of that bid it will cost $215 an hour's extra. And it usually will because their bid is based on one hour even if the job will take more then that in most cases.
If you tell them no after 5 minutes in your property they don't care they will just hand you a 99 dollar invoice even if they just looked at you.

Unit was opened before the technician arrived .
No work was done or any tool used.
The technician saw the hole and offered to replace the whole coil assembly.
I refused this because this is a brand new unit And will cost more then $2000.
I asked just to repair the screw hole and charge the unit.
The technician became hostile and told me that it will cost $1140+tax and + $215 hourly rate on top of the $1140 to fix the problem.
I asked how long it will take to fix the problem he replied 2-3 hours.
So to fix the hole and charge the system if it takes 3 hours I will pay $1140(fixed fee)+215*2(hourly fee)+tax total of $1695.5
I said that I can pay $1140 but would not pay an hourly rate on top of that .
I asked to talk to his supervisor he refused and asked for $99 dollars.

I said I will call the company myself and pay them directly .
He was outside my house for 7 minutes.
He started to swear and left.

I called the company center told them what happened and they started to give me the runaround.

I paid my $99 dollar invoice.

I called another company repair cost was $350 to braze the tiny hole and charge the system with warranty for a year.

This company is motivated by greed and praying on unsuspected home owners.

I called the Emergency line on Saturday with a serious issue with my hot water heater. It had been leaking on the floor for a couple of days and seemed extremely hot. I could hear a sizzling sound inside the tank and was concerned that something bad could happen. This tank was over 20-years old. I had to leave a Voicemail, since it was the Weekend. I received a callback within 15-minutes from Josh (one of their on-Staff Plumbers) and discussed my issue with him. He immediately instructed me to TURN-OFF the gas, so the tank would stop heating. He surmised that the thermostat may have failed as well as the tank. Josh lay-ed out a plan of what he could do (on Saturday), the costs and the time to do the replacement. He even explained the actual 'premium' cost for doing this on the Week-end, versus if I waited until Monday. I gave him the okay and he got things in motion very quickly. He made it to my house in Concord OH within one hour, from Warrensville Heights and drained and removed our old water tank, coordinated a Parts delivery person to deliver the new hot water heater along with various plumbing parts and completed the job within 2-hours. The two of them also removed the old water heater. It was a TOP NOTCH professional installation. Josh explained all the things he was doing, replaced all the water and gas valves and old pieces of copper and iron piping and trained me on how to use the new hot water heater. I was so impressed. Thank-you WF Hann for taking the stress out of a bad situation and completing the job within 3-hours from the time I made the initial phone call. Jeffrey Borsini, Concord, Ohio

I am so impressed by the two salesmen (Rick and Dominic) that came to our home this morning to help us decide on a new AC unit. With the pandemic going on, these two were wearing masks, had shoe coverings and maintained social distancing for the entire sales call. We wore masks, too -- and their actions showed that they understand the need to keep customers and themselves safe. W.F. Hann and Sons has been servicing our HVAC system for several years and has recently installed a new HVAC system at our house. We got a Carrier Affinity modulating gas furnace with a good air filter, an efficient 5-stage heat pump and an infinity control system. The representative was very knowledgeable and up-front, explaining the different options etch. The representative made it clear that it is not cost effective at this time to use a heat pump instead of gas to heat, but we wanted to do this anyways (when it is not very cold outside) for other reasons, so he respected our choice. The installation went very smoothly and the system looks great. Our house is now very comfortable. I highly recommend them!

We call Hann in an emergency to fix and replace our sump pump. They set an apt. for after hours the next day. As it turned out there was a short apt. before us and they were able to come during normal working hours and so we did not have to pay extra fees. The tech did the job in under an hour and was neat, efficient, and polite. Glad we called Hann!

We have been on WF Hann s preventative maintenance plan for years. They come twice a year to make sure your furnace/AC are working properly, and you also get discounts on other service calls you may need. We ve been very happy with this service.

We have also had a few emergency situations where our furnace stopped working in the middle of winter, and they have had someone to our house to fix it usually same day. Very fast, responsive and knowledgeable company. Highly recommended

my landlord send this company to check on our heater, they ABSOLUTELY don't know what they are doing, they were using their phone to see how to fix the issue through google, and at the end of the day their conclusion was the heat pump is working on the roof so you should be getting heat, I was like but I am not that's why we requesting you to come check it, they were like we have 35 + years of experiance and everything is working well . I told them I am living here and I am not getting heat, they just left. not recommended at all.

I have been a homeowner for 30 years. Own three rental properties and have used lots of plumbers. These guys are the only group who have ripped me off. $374.00 for 45 minutes of work? No parts. I would use anyone but them.

The guys who came to install my new AC and furnace were amazing! They came in very professional, greeted myself and my family, and got straight to work. They put tarps on the floor so they would not scratch or make a mess. They cleaned up and were very efficient when they installed. They explained the new system, asked if I had any questions and advised I can call at anytime for issues. I would highly recommend them for any HVAC work that you need.

Would not recommend. Paid for their annual contract, which includes weekend emergency service. Our water heater broke on a Sunday; I called twice, stressing the urgency. No callback at all. On Monday, I talked to them and they said, "Oh, our answering service never passed on the message." Well, that's not an excuse. A manager did call to tell me they were sorry, but that was it. Might have considered a partial refund of the contract price, but they didn't offer. Nope, wouldn't consider them again. I'm writing this now as they called on Friday asking me to re-up. A lot of nerve.

WF Hann sent a great technician (Keith) to our house to help with us with heating issues and a boiler that desperately needed maintenance. Keith kept me up to date on all the work he was doing and took the time to point everything out to me when he had finished. The entire experience from our first call to the end of service and follow up was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We had a very positive service experience, specifically with "Red". He was friendly and respectful, while patiently addressing all of our questions. He went above and beyond with sharing his insights on our home's piping layout, and patiently explained our options to resolve our plumbing issues. Highly recommend and will call again in the (hopefully not too near) future.

I was concerned that the condensation was not draining from our air conditioner. The technician filled the pump with water and showed me that it only drains when the pump is full. He checked the air conditioner outside, inside, and replaced the air filter with one that I had on hand. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. I will call Hahn again for our hearing and cooling needs.

We have a PTAC unit in an addition that the ignitor burned out and needed replacing. While the tech was here I scheduled maintenance on our main furnace which was 39 years old. Turned out the digital CO detector which was reading 39ppm of CO was correct. The furnace was giving us headaches and was trying to kill us. We knew we needed a new system, and had been looking and asking around. Well that day we were able to schedule a salesman and ordered it. The next day the W. F. Hann team arrived early and started the install of a new Carrier 96% efficient furnace and AC unit. Awesome team. Fun, friendly and very knowledgable. I sensed much experience among them all. As a whole it was a very good experience. W. F. Hann's entire company is friendly, caring, and very helpful in such a major decision.

WF Hann gives great service. I signed up for one of their service plans and I have gotten good, reliable maintenance of my heating and cooling system. Last winter, their emergency technician was at my house at all hours when my furnace kept going out. They gave me choices about what to do and installed a new furnace for me at a reasonable cost. They also installed my hot water tank and it has worked well. I have been with them for years and plan to keep using their services.

When my husband and I bought our home, which was built in 1920, we discovered there was a small gas leak in the basement and the gas company couldn t turn on the gas until we had a plumber fix it. After calling another company who said they couldn t get someone to us for several weeks (um....hello?? I kinda enjoy having hot water and being able to use my stove!) I called W.F. Hann & Sons. They sent Dave Herbst out to take a look at the leak (only two days after I called!) and he was great. He took the time to explain what the problem was, gave me an estimate for fixing the problem, and even took care of a few more problems he saw while inspecting the issue (and didn t increase the cost!) Dave was not only competent and professional, he was as nice as they come. I had him come back to install my gas dryer and he will be my go-to-guy for any future plumbing needs.
