It was a great visit. Everyone treated us as valued guest. The bartenders were very friendly and were able to remember my name and were very quick to serve a drink.

The valet staff is the most polite and friendly staff! We used the hotel car and our driver Marcus was friendly and prompt! Thank you guys! Can not wait to come back to this hotel and see the renovations of the spa and fitness area.

The service at this hotel is phenomenal! The valet and doorman/women were especially fantastic. We enjoyed the pool and the DJ music as well. The food is well done in Trace and the breakfast servers were great.

Cool bar with several rooms that are each uniquely decorated. Decent liquor selection. Outdoor patio has nice view.

Front desk staff was a little scatter-brained, but the hotel is in a great location, has a fun pool scene, there is a decent bar, and the rooms are slightly above average.

Was part of a social event in the bar area. Really nice seating in three zones depending on the atmosphere you want.

This is an awesome hotel I had the pleasure of staying here while some talent was in town. The theater is in the same building and we didn t want to drive since we would be drinking. this place is probably one of the coolest Hotels I ve been to, the pool was a cool place to hang out, I had the pleasure to meet some pretty awesome people during my experience at the W.

Nice hotels, but doesn't have door to bathroom which is kind of weird and they got the internet charge wrong on my account and the sink drain didn't work.

Had a really great time at the Halloween party yesterday. The decorations were top notch and the dis played great music. The photo booth was also super fun with great props.

Room was very nice as well as the front desk. Booked the room through the Amex fine hotels program which they did not have recognized until I checked in but quickly fixed the issue. Overall quiet, clean, and upscale so it was very pleased to stay in the heart of downtown Austin.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! One of my favorite places to hang out and attend special events at. Staff is friendly and customer service is key.

We went to the lobby bar for the champagne brunch party and we had a blast. Bartender asked the chef to prepare a gluten free appetizer for me even though there was no such item on the menu (and it was delicious!). Excellent service all around, great music, lively atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Saw a show at the W for KGSR, and the room we were in was lovely.

Amazing place to step away and find serenity needed to let go of the pressure accumulated from an overindulgent lifestyle. In other words, this is the best place in downtown Austin to relieve your... ahem... self. Numerous facilities, usually stocked with necessary amenities; however, the quality of the TP could use a 5-star hotel upgrade.

I have been to the W for meetup events, love the living room and red room, great environment for 30+ crowd, good music, it's the W so it will be pricey.

I love this place for a night out! There is never a night this isn't fun.

The staff was great and the ambiance is amazing. Great for dates.

The food was phenomenal and the service was the best! We came the day they had Britney Brunch and it was the most fun I've had in a while!

The club at the W was the bomb. I had a great experience..

hotel: Pretty nice room, but didn't have a bathtub, the shower was somewhat weak and was fixed to the wall.
food: the fish & chips was not recommendable, the french fries were limp, I had to send back the brussells sprouts.
drinks: good tasting and attentive staff
music: thursday night there was a great DJ playing interesting music, tuesday night the music was too loud out to some of the outer rooms.

Accommodations were great. Staff was very nice and welcoming and even gave us an upgraded room. Location is great as well being right in the Second Street district in downtown Austin. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in downtown Austin.

The service is disappointing at this location. The decor is beautiful and the lobby bar is really great, but the finishing touches leave much to be desired. They've lost multiple packages,.room service orders mixed up, challenges with rooms/keys etc. I've stayed a few times and sadly, was disappointed.
Plus sides: good atmosphere, very central location.

Modern interior and decor. Very pricey, but you pay for the environment.

Watch out for the balcony its not safety glass. If you break it could be fatal. When the W hotel opened they had some people get hurt when glass broke hit the pool area.

Price is what you would expect for an Austin Downtown hotel.
Rooms are. Slot smaller that expected, NO coffee maker in the room, not space to put your clothes.
WORST thing, the lady at the gym policing everyone is wearing a mask while running on the treadmill. Don't recommend it!

I've actually never stayed in the hotel but I'm sure it would be lovely for a staycation! The building itself is pristine, clean, and add a touch a modern to downtown Austin. Their lobby bar however has incredible summer cocktails!

It was a nice hotel with a modern interior. The room was clean and fairly spacious. The customer service was fast. They even provide free water bottles at the concierge for hotel guests.

Hotel was great, but the valet service damaged my 2017 Altima that still had Paper tags on it. There valet manager stated that he was sure it didn't happen while there. The car was parked by valet, and was not used until checking out the next day. Something corrosive leaked from the garage and dropped across the hood, and ate threw the clear coat of the paint. Beware people, the valet portion of this hotel is horrible.

World class service. Really nice guest rooms, even by Marriott/Starwood standards. Room was quiet and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again as my first choice in Austin.

The bar downstairs is nice but, personally it's not exactly my scene. I wouldn't roll in and post up solo here but it's a good spot to hold it down with the crew.

The pool upstairs is pretty awesome and the talent is usually high in that pool when there's a party.

The crowd is pretty bougie, and it is what I'd expect so that's cool.

Nothing special, no upgraded room at check-in, very basic.

My stay was amazing. The concierge was very helpful and provided me with a razor and shaving cream after I asked for the nearest place I could buy one. Room was beautiful and clean with an amazing view.

Attended the "Detox Retox Repeat" event for a Barre workout by the pool. Cost $20 to attend if not a hotel guest. Workout was excellent! Totally kicked my butt. Good crowd, good post cocktail, and nice to cool off in the pool. However, the event had advertised "lite bites" would be served and this was not the case, so I was a little disappointed.

Do you like being charged a cover fee when you go to a bar? Neither do I. BEWARE: The Living Room Bar will initially charge you $50 if you pay with a debit card, and it will stay absent from your checking account for five days. That's a high price to pay when you're only actually spending, say, $20 there. Never again, bitches. Maybe your high-priced call girls and resident douche bags are willing to afford that, but I will not willingly spend my money at a place that charges me such a ridiculous cover fee. 'Cause that's essentially what you're doing... charging a large cover fee to ensure your customers can afford a mere twenty-dollar tab. Bullshit.

Good bar. Happy hour prices are ok. High otherwise.

It s always the people who make 5 star experiences. We came here for a pre-show before a Willie Nelson concert (which was also great). The hospitality at the W made us feel right at home. Such wonderful people...Joanna (GM), Tristan, Alyssa, Dane (all three at bar) were such a pleasure to speak with and served with such professionalism.

Just went to visit a friend for a graduation party. Wasn't there long and didn't see much, but the view from the 16th floor was nice.

While the location cannot be beat, the actual hotel feels overpriced compared to other comparable luxury hotels when it comes to the design of the rooms, amenities, etc. There was nothing special (aside from location and price) to elevate this hotel from a middle of the road Marriot to a luxury experience.

Nice hotel in the middle of the bar district. The gym is in my opinion one of the best hotel gyms in the US.

The staff is amazing! The new Bitten Peach cocktail is great and the new bar menu is very delicious.

Nonetheless, on my last stay, I noticed there is some work needed for the room's furniture. The bed frame was scraped off to the sheets. For the price of the hotel and a corner suite, I would expect the rooms to have better-looking furniture.

If you're looking for a hotel in Downtown Austin, or just looking for a relaxing cafe or bar to meet friends, the W is the place to go. Modern decor, great rooms and cool atmosphere - and in a convenient location of course!

If you're ever in downtown Austin looking for a place to grab a quick cocktail meal or just mix and mingle the W is likely one of your best locations there is usually a pretty good crowd music and good service

It is a Asian flare take on the burrito, hamburger and everything else you can imagine.

They were interesting flavors, and I would go back and see what they have on the menu for this season. We went in Sept. 2011.

Drinks and atmosphere is definitely a fun place for someone who likes to go out on the town!

This is exactly what Austin needed! I love the ambiance! It is hip, modern and attracts people of all cultures. Love it!

I love the feeling I get every time I walk into the lobby, the bar, or a room in this hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful while the ambiance is new and hip. The drinks are expensive but it is expected for an establishment like this. I'd definitely recommend it to either be your first stop of the night or the last.

Lovely interior, you need a key card to get to most of the floors. The bed is really comfortable, it's a beauty rest brand. The shower is very large.

It's relatively nice. The location is great and close to other bars, restaurants and shops. It also has its own club.

Drinks and bar was good. Clean and modern. Music in the club wasn't all to my liking.
