Great service, a typically sleek W Hotel. Rooms are nice, but higher floor count is better, quieter. Really sleek pool on the roof. Not very big but it's relaxing and fun to soak in when it's unbearably hot outside.

The service was great but I paid $15 (before tip) for a mediocre Moscow Mule. The W is extremely nice inside and the atmosphere is great but I wouldn't have drinks here again because of the price.
I've only been here for the bar. The drinking are pricey but nice and it's the W so that's to be expected. The staff are nice and attentive and the small bites you can order are very good.
Came for a bachelor party. Great service and atmosphere. There open pool party was great and had a lot of amenities like the gym on the fourth floor. Also had a great lounge in the evening time. Would highly recommend anyone staying in austin
Decent rooms in a good location. It also has a great gym and a small pool. However, the crappy internet and terrible service make this hotel very overpriced.
Beautiful hotel. Went to Living Room lounge. DJ was awesome! Female bartender in the red room was making some great drinks. Would go again on a Saturday night.
Beautiful lobby area! The drinks can get a bit pricey but they do have something for everyone. If you're having a business meeting or just a get together The W is sure to impress!
Bitia was amazing. She made us feel right at home! I highly recommend the W for a visit. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us have an amazing experience.
Stopped in for a drink at the bar on a Sunday night. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and the architecture/design is gorgeous. The cocktail menu has a nice mix of localized drinks. Things are generally a little pricey, but you're paying for location and the experience, too. The drinks were well and quickly made. There was a communication error with one drink, and they made it right immediately. All in all, a good place for a drink in a stylish atmosphere.
You pay for the name if you stay here I think. The rooms are pretty small, although clean. The beds were comfortable and we had a decent view but I'm not sure I would spend the money to stay here a second time... so overpriced. But the restaurant on the first floor is remarkable!
We stayed for 4 nights. We made one request that wasn't fulfilled (fine in and of itself, given the nature of the request) but there was no explanation for if they actually couldn't do it or just forgot. Other than that, the staff was generally very helpful and pleasant, and the room was well kept. Not really meant for families with kids or for friends or coworkers to share a room (no door to sink/shower area). The event we attended at the hotel was lovely. The pool area was pleasant, but we did refrain from ordering food there because we were told it would take at least an hour.
Nice place however beware of the valet parking. They will take everything of value in your vehicle. When you arrive let them watch you take photos of the things in your vehicle and ask for their names and take photos of them also. I promise if you do not do this, the valet folks will rummage through your things and yes,,, rob you blind.
My home away from home. I adore boutique type hotels like this. Front desk staff are always so accommodating to my every need. The bathrooms are great too. I secretly wish I could live here. Thank you W!
Not really my style, but if you want a very upscale bar and the associated clientele this is probably for you. Fancy drinks, fancy prices, one of the few spots in Austin where you're likely to see people actually dressed up to go out instead of in shorts and a t-shirt.
I was here for a conference. Staff is great. Friendly and accommodating. The venue location is fantastic as it's connected to Austin City Live, so you'll be there in just a few steps.
Perfect gym. Ok room. Pool is open to public every day which is annoying. Paying $300+ but can't get a spot at the pool. Staying here only because I'm Marriot member and it's close to the office.
One bedroom suite on 12th floor had an awesome wrap around L shaped couch to fit lots of people and the views are amazing of town lake. The pool was staffed by very nice and accommodating people.
WET Bar does not offer happy hour drinks (even though it is stated on the website and in the lobby). Tacky-Ibiza style pool area which is fun in a small dose. Prefer neighbouring rooftops and Westin Hotel for sunset.
Went to a wedding reception there in June of 2018. Valeted my 2014 Ford Raptor when we showed up. We hung out for a good 4 hours or so at the reception. Once we got down to the front of the hotel after the reception, the valet manager tells me, "I've got some bad news, but it could be worse." Come to find out some lady tried to make a u-turn in the parking garage and hit the rear end of my truck, denting and bending the back bumper and part of the body. I was assured by the manager that somebody would be in contact with me within a week to explain the next move from there. I signed an accident report that was filled out and signed by the person responsible for hitting my truck. So now as I type this, its January 2019, I've tried multiple times to contact the hotel and insurance company for the valey service, to have nothing resolved. It's a shame that such an elegant and expensive hotel as The W can't reach out to help a customer who's property has been damaged. Parking is already an issue being in downtown Austin, so beware of the valet service as well.
Super-friendly staff, very accommodating. Would have liked it if the amenities were replaced daily instead of us having to call two days in a row for more shampoo, face wash, etc. Decor is modern and cool and rooms are quite comfy, but the shower stall with glass doors (and no door to the bathroom) is not ideal if sharing a room.
In the middle of a pandemic, this hotel has 50 people pool parties, the valet costs you 50usd/ day with no option to self park (who wants to valet right now?) and let s not forget how brining a glass of water and coffee to the pool is not allowed as it has to be purchased at the pool. Total joke
Disappointed with the security staff. Went in for a drink. Came and left without issue, unfortunately my credit card did not make it with me. Once I noticed it was lost, I called to check in. Security personnel informed me that they checked with the bartender and no one had turned in the card. We went back to check where we were sitting, and checked with the bartender ourselves. The bartender told us someone turned it in.
Have considered staying here a few times and went in to check things out. I can cross this off the list. Won t be staying here.
Recently enjoyed some drinks, fun and beverages with Google in the Living Room lounge and had a very enjoyable evening. Bar staff was friendly and the beef ravioli and fried pickles were both standouts on the appetizer menu. Most definitely look forward to returning again soon.
I stayed here for two nights while visiting Austin on a business trip. The inside of the hotel is beautiful, the pool is nice in the fitness area is pretty large. Everyone is extremely helpful and attentive to your needs. They also have a nice bar area and make good drinks during happy hour time. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars are because my sheets and comforter were made of a material that made me pretty sweaty at night. I put the AC as low as it would go (65) however I still found myself getting extremely warm even just under the sheet. It was a little synthetic feeling. Besides that minor thing this place was wonderful and a great stay.
The entire staff was outwardly friendly, overtly helpful and made the stay incredible. Really, no bad marks, but I d like to bring special attention to the bar manager Jesse who was an incredible host multiple nights to our group. Also, Mary at the front desk constantly went above and beyond, yet did so with ease and every bit a reminder it was no problem at all . I haven t seen collective service at this high a level, maybe ever. Whoever hired and trains this staff needs to be applauded as well.
I would rate this higher, but it seems really snooty and pretentious. You can't even identify the front desk, nothing is labeled, and if you can't find your way to where you want to go, you're out of luck. Even if you find someone to give directions, they're incomplete. I felt out-of-place and uncomfortable - and I work right across the street! That being said, it is a beautiful location.
