Pretty trendy location to stay. Just spent some time to at the gym today, which was nice but what you expect for a hotel gym. In room Wifi is not free which is pretty weird because any super 8 hotel in Nebraska has free in room wifi. The room is pretty nice over all and AC is okay. Nice location, close to 6th street and Rainey st. Also close to the park which I was able to run at this morning. Overall it's okay, would stay again.

My friends and I stayed at the W to celebrate my 30th birthday and it happened to be pride weekend as well! Our room was very nice and modern. We spent most of our time at the pool and the restaurants which were great! The banana Nutella french toast for brunch was to die for! The pride pool party was a lot of fun! They decorated it very nicely and even though it rained and was packed the service did not suffer! Nick made sure my birthday was special and checked on us all day! He brought us fresh towels and drinks as needed. I will definitely stay here again!

Horrible customer service. Booked this hotel specifically for a short staycation mainly to use the pool. While the entire Bonvoy website advertises restrictions due to Covid, when we showed up here, the pool only allows *TWELVE* people in the pool at any given time. There was no monitoring of how many people entered the pool area and no method to who was in the pool and for how long. An extremely rude security guard continually came around and screamed at everyone that he would shut down the pool if more than 12 people were in the water. It was a very poorly managed process and made a miserable experience. I attempted to speak to someone in management about the situation and he was equally rude and unhelpful, stating that the website does say there are restrictions due to Covid. I told him we were checking out (a few hours after checking in) and would never stay again and would never recommend anyone else stay at this property (I am a titanium elite Bonvoy member and stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties and have never encountered such poor customer service). He did nothing to attempt to rectify the situation or take any feedback into account. We recently did a staycation at the nearby Fairmont and had a wonderful experience, even with Covid restrictions. Recommend booking there instead.

Accommodations are always ideal. The staff goes above and beyond to see that your every request is met. Also, one of my favorite places to have cocktails whether it be for business or pleasure. My wife was upgraded to the Extreme Wow Suite for her bachelorette party weekend and she still raves about how incredible the room and view of Lady Bird Lake were. The basic room is top of the line as well.

We stayed at this hotel in the first week of January. We enjoyed our room immensely which had a great view of the city. My husband and I needed to complete some business and were greatly helped by the staff in downloading, printing and faxing a document. We thank Bradon Abarca, Tres Rose and Hannah Coulter for taking exceptional care of us.

The W is my favorite hotel in Austin. The south facing views are some of the best you can get anywhere in the city. The staff is professional and courteous. The rooms are always in excellent condition and their amenities are second to none.

Had a great time at the W and the W's Trace bar that we went to right before our event, great mixed drinks and super nice fun staff. We valeted our car and the day staff was extremely nice and helpful when I needed to put something in my car. When we picked up our car, the night valet started out being rude, and then tried to ignore us at the wheels station. After he finally decided to acknowledge that we were not leaving without our car, he told me the total was $41 and change I asked why we didn't get the advertised discount on the W website? As we had the bar validate the valet voucher, and attended an acl concert we were expecting the discounted total as we were leaving before midnight and not even close to the 2am time limit. He just gave us a dead stare, no response whatsoever expect to repeat the cost, he did this two times, and we were a little creeped out so we just paid the total and waited for our car, both the valet driver and door attendant we're very nice and polite. Overall we had a great time, it's just a shame the evening was soured so much by one rep of the Wheels Valet service, when everyone else was polite and friendly.

The W Hotel bar was really nice, it was nice and quited around 8pm but it got a bit more crowded at 11pm. I was at a company party on the second floor. It was really well organized and the food was amazing.

The desserts are TRACE are really interesting and tasty things, and I recommend trying one or two after a meal. The dinner isn't cheap, but I've had some seasonal fish dishes that really hit the spot. I had a $25 gift card which I took as an excuse to go lunch-crazy on a ridiculous, fancy burger (I added a crab cake and avocados which came out to about the value of the card - it came with a small house slaw) and it was tasty, but not juicy or bloody enough. For free, yes, certainly not worth $25 dollars and if I ordered it again I would ask for it rare and skip the crab cake which added very little in the way of flavor. Nice ambiance, great liquor/wine list (beer selection not too impressive), overall I do enjoy TRACE.

Don't be fooled by things they say are "included with your stay". I used travel points to get my room paid for, but when I pulled up to check-in the valet told me their service was included in my stay. This led me to believe it was covered. Then I get charged 50$. Great location but I'm never staying here again.

I went to have drinks at the W Hotel bar and it was a great experience! They have so many options for people with any taste, and I love their cocktails, but the best part was the service I received. The bartender, Miranda, was wonderful, giving excellent service and recommendations for drinks. Thanks for making my night!

Just like other W hotels, the W Austin is hip, modern, cool and just fun. I call it the Vegas vibe. They have a great pool for chillaxing during our long hot summer days. Only downfall is that they did not add a Bliss Spa to this locay. I was so looking forward to having a Bliss.

Downstairs, just off the lobby, is The Living Room, The Records Room, and The Red Room. These are amazing places to chill and catch up with friends. Go on Mondays when it's Happy Hour All Day, and check out their website to see when there are free shows (usually also on Monday Nights). One of my favorite people watching locations: The W patio, right on the corner of 2nd and Lavaca.

Classy atmosphere located in the heart of downtown Austin with a professional vibe. The staff were courteous, the room was absolutely amazing (was upgraded to a deluxe room with a corner view because they noticed it was my birthday.)

Would definitely stay at again!

The W is like a hotel built into a nightclub. The whole thing oozes hip, swank, trendy vibes and has the coolest rooms I've ever seen. The service is top-notch but the stuffiness is kept to a minimum so if you're bored with "fancy" give this place a shot. You'll feel 10 years cooler just walking through the door.

I was there for a performance at the WetDeck. It was a lot of fun! The patio is really beautiful. There was a great crowd and the music was phenomenal. The W is a very upscale property. The atmosphere is relaxed, but professional. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Such a positive experience here from the moment we pulled up. The valet guys were courteous and swift and the bell "boys" were accommodating. The staff here is top notch. They pay attention to every little detail when it comes to cleaning or valet or whatever else. The modern look of the room is so clean and fresh. And their outdoor pool is a fun experience too. It's not a huge pool nor deep, but on the weekends it gets rowdy in the summer. Their 4 living room bars are a fun experience too. Definitely worth the price.

First time staying at this location and for the price I was expecting a super clean hotel and room. Our room was super small, the furniture was outdated and worn out along waits the carpets. The tub was in an awkward open space that reminds me of a cheap cheesy motel honeymoon suite. The elevators, front doors and lobby area was just dirty and needed attention. I did not see anything special about this hotel that would make me come back. Attention to details goes along way.

This review is for the Wet Deck Pool at The W. I was not staying at the hotel on this particular trip, but did buy a day pass to the pool. You are required to buy passes in advance, though keep in mind they don t guarantee a chair and the passes are nonrefundable. When asking the pool staff if we could use a few of the reserved chairs as all of the other chairs by the pool were taken, they answered no and offered a $200 cabana. Seeing as there was no one using the reserved chairs, we found this level of customer service to be subpar at most. Our family is a platinum member with Marriott and we usually have excellent customer service. I am sorry to say that we are extremely disappointed in the attitude of the pool staff and lack of willingness to accommodate or help offer other solutions.

My wife is currently going through chemo for cancer. Her friends booked a room for a weekend to have some fun and cheer her up. The staff at this hotel are absolutely awesome. They gave my wife a few gifts including a Kendra Scott necklace. I am so grateful for them and for treating my wife so well.

Super swanky hotel, and super polite and friendly staff. It was a little on style over substance (cool decorations but no extra pillows or iron/ironing board). This place is too cool for me to come back but I really did enjoy the stay.

EDIT: I have changed this from a 4 star review to a 5 star review due to excellent customer service. We left some expensive clothing in the room and the staff took great care of us. Very quick response time on their part, and a very low effort on my part. Thanks!!

I stayed here one night and the service is fine. They seem to care about their guests. However, now that I live in the area I see clearly how little The W cares about Austin's 2nd Street District.

The garage on 3rd street is absolutely disgusting. It stays open all day with a security guard out front and reeks of a dump. Not a dump truck. Not a dumpster. The actual dump where trash goes to die. How the security guard is able to stand it is a mystery but I suspect he may not require oxygen like the rest of us. It stinks up the entire block and you can smell it from Bob's rooftop patio across the street.

They also have had a truck moving large containers in and out of the 3rd street garage for over a month now that incessantly beeps loud enough to clearly hear from the 18th floor. This goes on well into the night (3AM easily) several times per week and annoys our entire building. Half this building yells at the truck driver from their balcony as he sits in park just beeping away. Maybe they are moving trash and loudly proclaiming it to the neighborhood. I don't think it would surprise anyone that there is enough rotting trash in that garage to require hours of work in the middle of the night.

I met up with friends at the W bar after an Erasure concert at the ACL theater. The 6 of us enjoyed decent drinks surrounded by the swanky decor and appropriately dim lighting. My favorite detail: the music being played at the bar was the same genre as Erasure so it was a really nice transition, having just left the concert. Bravo, W!

I haven't actually stayed here, but the staff has let me walk around and check out the place as a potential venue. Everyone from the first person to the last person I met was very nice and accommodating and the restaurants and lounges all have their own unique atmosphere to them. Since I haven't actually stayed here, I can't give it that last star, but I'd like to.
